Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

For him, the challenge is to fight Daigo.

Yes.

Three days have passed.

The Manaro Arena has been fully repaired, and today is the day the quarter-final match that was interrupted last time will resume.

Du and the others have already called Xia Yan.

This is also the reason why he "reluctantly" left Tapu Bulu.

The fact that Infernape and Latios successfully reached the level of near-Elite Four member undoubtedly gave Xia Yan even greater confidence.

Whether he can defeat Daigo remains to be seen.

But at least in terms of the elves' apparent strength, he is no longer at a disadvantage.

They left Ulaura Island aboard Latios.

They left together.

And there's also the sneaky Tapu Boom.

It needs to lay low for a while.

...

...

Manaro Stadium.

The crowd was full of people.

With Latios officially entering the Quasi-Elite Four level, its straight-line flight speed has reached an extremely terrifying level.

It only took a short time to get from Ula Ula Island to the Manaro Arena.

Even the host's rambling hadn't finished yet.

After reaching the level of a near-Elite Four member, Latios's talent as a legendary Pokémon was finally realized.

It's quite noticeable.

Xia Yan's Latios clearly grew very smoothly, with everything going very smoothly, and he hardly experienced any twists or adventures.

Compared to Beedrill, which ate a "Golden Feather" from a young age, Alakazam, which has the Mew Gene, Togekiss, which is favored by Xerneas, and Swordcap, which has a significant connection with Giratina, it can be said that they have almost no serendipitous encounters.

Even Infernape grew up by biting on fragments of Primal Groudon's shell.

Corradius is no weaker than them.

In fact, there's a hint that he's even stronger, and his talent hasn't been fully realized yet.

This made Xia Yan sigh.

That's why they say mythical beasts are powerful.

Although it cannot compare to those divine beasts with divine powers, Latios has a huge innate advantage over ordinary Pokémon.

its existence.

This forms the basis for Xia Yan to infinitely raise the bar in the future.

The players' lounge.

"Xia Yan, you're finally back."

Du and the others were overjoyed to see Xia Yan.

"You guys haven't played yet, have you? Anyway, Daigo and I are in the last match, so we'll probably have to wait until the afternoon."

Xia Yan shrugged, appearing quite calm.

"Xia Yan, what did you go to do?" Kona asked, quite curious.

She wasn't the only one who was curious.

Xia Yan smiled mysteriously, "No, I just found a powerful guy to give me some special training."

Daigo, standing next to him, rolled his eyes in annoyance. "Don't take it so seriously, will you?"

Xia Yan pouted, "It seems like I wasn't the one who started taking it seriously first."

Did he really think he didn't know that this group of people were secretly discussing how to fight him if they encountered him?

Upon hearing this...

"Ahem—the competition is about to start, and I think I'll be the first one," Du said with a light cough.

I'm talking about you, Yulongdu. You were the most enthusiastic when we were discussing how to beat me... Xia Yan thought to himself.

"Now let's welcome 'Dragon Messenger' Lance from the Kanto region! And 'Water Artist' Wallace from the Hoenn region!"

No sooner had Du finished speaking than the host's voice came from the television.

"You guys chat, I'm going to the competition first."

That's all.

With a flick of his cape, he walked out of the players' room with considerable style.

"Watari and Michael, who do you think will win?" Kona asked.

The main questions were about Daigo and Natsuhiko.

Among this large group, it seems that only Daigo and Michael have some kind of relationship.

Xia Yan and Daigo exchanged glances and almost simultaneously gave the answer.

“Cross over.”

Their consensus was that Wataru possessed great strength.

Although Xia Yan has always used the Pokémon's attributes as a topic of conversation and criticized them.

However, his strength has little to do with his attributes.

Whether he's a Dragon or Flying type, he's the Lance who will become the champion of the Johto region in the future.

Chapter 186 I want to become a PhD. Who agrees and who disagrees?

The battle between Wataru and Michael was quite exciting.

While the League's desire to promote the Grand Festival and the good relationship between Steven and Wallace might contribute to Wallace's potential to become the Hoenn champion after Steven steps down, he still has the necessary strength to succeed.

of course.

The current Mikel is quite different from the Mikel of that time.

This has brought some difficulties to the crossing.

But it turned out to be a close call.

Lance didn't even use his "Z-Move" to secure the victory.

Mikoli was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

However, given that it covers all seven regions, and even shamelessly sends those veteran island kings to the tournament, the prestige of the top eight is absolutely unmatched by any other tournament.

said with no exaggeration.

Not only those who reach the top eight, but also those who make it to the top thirty-two or even the top sixty-four will inevitably be nurtured and given important roles by their respective alliances upon returning home.

The exciting match between Wataru and Mikoto set a magnificent precedent for this quarterfinal tournament.

The event concluded with the two embracing in the center of the field.

"Let's congratulate contestant Yulongdu!"

After the thunderous applause subsided, the host continued, "Next, let's welcome Cynthia from the Sinnoh region, and Liz, the island queen of Akala Island in the Alola region—!!"

It's getting more and more exciting.

At this point in the competition, everyone's enthusiasm has been completely ignited.

The battle between Cynthia and Lizzy, two beauties with completely different styles, is also quite interesting.

This battle.

Xia Yan believes that Cynthia has a significant advantage.

Judging from the types of the Pokémon they possess, Liz is a Rock-type trainer, while Cynthia has far too many Pokémon that can counter Rock-types.

Cynthia possesses all of the following types: Water, Grass, Steel, Fighting, and Ground.

If she matches her Pokémon appropriately, her chances of winning are definitely not small.

the most important is.

Cynthia has Xia Yan as her "strategist".

He spared no effort in analyzing Liz's strength and Pokémon for Cynthia, among which the most dangerous were undoubtedly Golem in its Alolan form and Liz's Lycanroc.

The rest are not too difficult to deal with.

But Xia Yan, or rather all of Cynthia's fans, wanted to see something else.

Will Cynthia use "Z-Moves"?

It has been known for some time that Cynthia has both the "Z-Bracelet" and the "Z-Crystal".

But so far, Cynthia is one of the few who has not used "Z-Moves".

Xia Yan, with a slightly mischievous glint in his eye, was eager to see what Cynthia would do when she used a "Z-Move".

The duel between the two began quickly, under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

Cynthia led the charge with Gastrodon, which was very stable and gave her a significant advantage.

Liz sent out Pang Yan Monster, which has the "sandstorm" ability and immediately gained the advantage of the field.

It seems that no matter what trainers specialize in Rock-type Pokémon do in the early stages, they can't escape the "sandstorm" tactic in the later stages.

Liz's "Sandstorm" tactic, using the Giant Rock Monster as the weather setter, demonstrated considerable influence from the start.

pity.
