Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"Frozen Wind" is a good choice.

Because this move has a power of 55 points, which is right at the 60-point threshold of the "Master Technician" level, the move's power has been greatly increased.

Moreover, the "freezing wind" at such close range also significantly affected Togekiss's speed.

But next second.

The crystalline substance that Tokis had shaken off earlier transformed into a bright beam of sunlight.

The warm sunlight shining down from the sky melted the ice crystals on Togekiss's body.

“Just...okay…”

Pokkis struggled to shiver, his teeth chattering and chattering.

"Another successful first reading! Xia Yan's predictions today were truly outstanding. Is this what everyone calls a 'tactical mastermind'? He truly deserves the title! Absolutely!"

Merdan also shook his head inwardly.

Xia Yan is in really good shape today.

"Meow Boss, high-speed star!"

"Togekiss, Triple Attack!"

The two issued the orders simultaneously.

The cat boss spat out a large number of golden five-pointed stars of varying sizes.

Meanwhile, the feathers on Togekiss's head glowed with three colors, and with the surge of energy, three beams of red, blue, and yellow light swept towards Meowth.

"Charge!" Xia Yan shouted.

"Chocolate!"

With a determined look in its eyes, Tokiss charged towards Meowth, its "High-Speed Star" beam blazing.

He had a reckless and impulsive manner.

Bang——! !

Togekiss flapped its wings and actually climbed onto Meowth's back, tackling it to the ground.

The three beams of energy were unreservedly inscribed on Boss Meow's body.

"Bite down!" Merdan's expression changed slightly.

"Meow--!!"

A fierce glint flashed in Meowth's eyes, and its massive jaws snapped shut on Togekiss's wing.

This almost made Pokémon cry out in pain.

"End it, magic flashes!"

Xia Yan frowned and gave the order without any hesitation.

In an instant.

Tokiss's body was immediately enveloped in pink energy, bursting with a dazzling and beautiful light.

"Boss Meow, ultimate attack!"

Merdan knew that Xia Yan wanted to finish quickly to save Pokkis's energy, and he also saw this as an opportunity.

zizi——

however.

Nobody could have predicted it.

This time, luck was on Tokis's side.

The triple attack had paralyzed Meow Boss, and at this crucial moment, the paralysis took effect, rendering Meow Boss temporarily unable to move.

A dazzling light poured out.

An attack imbued with rich fairy-type energy washed over Meow Boss's body.

“Cha Ke Yi….”

The light dimmed.

As Togekiss squinted one eye and staggered into the air again, Meowth lay on the ground, unable to move.

At this point, Togekiss's special attack power, combined with the type advantage of Fairy-type moves, meant that no Dark-type Pokémon of the same level could withstand it.

Merdan knew he couldn't stop it.

Therefore, he chose to hedge.

pity.

Luck wasn't on his side.

"Meowth is unable to battle, and the victorious Pokémon is Togekiss—!! Togekiss has now achieved the feat of defeating four Pokémon in a row!! Will there be a fifth?!"

"The fifth one! The fifth one!"

"Xia Yan! Xia Yan!"

"Tokis! Tokis!"

"Fairy type! Fairy type!"

"..."

The crowd erupted in cheers again, with people shouting all sorts of things.

Everyone was on tenterhooks when Togekis charged at Meowth and mounted it.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Tokis successfully defeat his opponent once again.

but.

It looks like...

Pokkiss's current condition doesn't seem to be ideal either.

The swaying Tokiss returned to Xia Yan's side.

Pointing to its own wings, which had two rows of black teeth marks, it pouted, sniffed, and had tears welling up in its eyes, looking all wronged.

Looking at its pitiful appearance, Xia Yan couldn't help but laugh and said, "How about we stop here?"

"Cha-ke-yi!!"

But Pokkiss looked stubborn.

If it weren't for its eyes darting around, Xia Yan might have actually believed it.

"Okay, okay, I'll take you guys to get ice cream later."

"Is that alright?"

"Okay, I'll make sure you have a good meal today, alright?"

"Cha-ke-yi!!"

Pokkis nodded heavily, turned around with a fierce look in his eyes, and stared intently at Merdan, exuding a strong aura.

Seeing Tokkiss like this, Merdan couldn't help but laugh.

He scratched the back of his head, looked at the two Poké Balls in his hand, and clicked his tongue, "This is getting more and more troublesome."

"Never mind, that's all we have."

Merdan grabbed one at random and tossed it out.

After all, these island kings are all suppressing their strength to participate in the competition, and these Pokémon cannot be considered as their main Pokémon.

Now that Xia Yan and Pokkiss have achieved a four-in-a-row victory, he just wants to give up.

Looking at the two remaining elves, the desire to lie down and relax grew even stronger.

"Roar--!!"

The roaring sound shook the entire arena, the jet-black scales shone brightly, three ferocious dragon heads surrounded the entire arena, and with the flapping of three pairs of wings, a great wind was generated.

"Merdan's fifth Pokémon, a pseudo-legendary Pokémon—Hydreigon!!!"

Three-headed dragon?

Xia Yan looked at Mo Dan with a strange expression.

Seemingly anticipating Xia Yan's expression, Mo Dan met his gaze calmly and shrugged.

obviously.

He also realized how much of an attribute disadvantage the Hydreigon would have when facing Togekiss.

Hydreigon, a Dark-type and Dragon-type Pokémon, is countered by Fairy-type Pokémon, regardless of whether it's Dark or Dragon.

Four times weaker than a goblin.

That's how it is.

Before the Fairy type was introduced, Hydreigon was considered quite good among the pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon. Its only drawback might be that its evolution and growth cycle is relatively long.

It's much better than pseudo-legendary Pokémon like Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp, which are 4x weak to Ice, since it doesn't have a 4x weakness.

But now that the Fairy type has appeared.

It's all over.

Hydreigon also has a weakness of four times, being four times weaker to Fairy-type Pokémon.

the most important is.

Currently, among the few Fairy-type Pokémon in the Pokémon world, it is right in front of me.

This is also why Merdan is somewhat inclined to lie down and accept defeat.

"The three-headed dragon is four times weak to Fairy-type monsters!!"

The host and the audience also realized this.

Although Togekiss doesn't seem to be in good condition right now, all of its buffs are still active.
