Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

In Xia Yan's and the Straight-Up Bears' eyes, he just seemed a little fierce in a cute way.

It certainly didn't serve its purpose of deterrence.

Instead, the charging bears showed disdain.

How could such a small creature have been so brutally beaten by its clansmen before?

However, after feeding them, the group of charging bears did not launch an attack rashly.

Instead, they were waiting for something.

"Roar--!!"

A very intimidating voice came from not far away.

The loud voice, along with its undeniable force, immediately silenced Eevee's cute yet fierce cries.

Little Ibu sniffed.

"Cough!"

Infernape took a step forward, gently pulled Eevee behind it, and stared intently at the Pokémon that was slowly approaching from not far away.

The powerful roar just now came from that elf.

It also has a black and white color scheme, but it walks upright on two legs, with its body hunched over and its tongue sticking out, making it look somewhat like the thugs from Team Skull in the Alola region.

It's obvious at a glance that they're not kind and gentle elves.

Their progress, step by step, has been quite impressive.

"Block the bear."

The evolved form of the straight-running bear.

More accurately, it is the evolved form of the Galar form of the Bear.

Originally, the Pokémon Ursaring only had two forms: Zigzag and Ursaring.

However, due to special environmental influences, the Galar-like straight bear has another evolutionary form.

That was the bear that was slowly walking towards Xia Yan and the others.

Blocking bears are very aggressive, but they rarely initiate attacks.

Because they all use various provocative means to provoke the enemy to launch the attack first, and then defend themselves by using their own unique "blocking" techniques.

"Block" is a move that only the Ursaring Pokémon among the Pokémon Xia Yan knows can learn and master.

Its general effect is similar to "Guard," and it can resist most attack moves.

However, unlike "defend", "block" does not have the priority of the "defend" move.

In other words, this move is not fast to execute and cannot be used immediately.

However, "blocking" also has characteristics that "defending" does not possess.

That is, if "Block" successfully blocks the opponent's contact attack, Block Bear will greatly reduce the opponent's defense by using its unique scent and deterrent power.

This allows the blocking bear to unleash its full offensive potential.

This is why the Blocking Bear is very warlike, but it often does not take the initiative to attack. Instead, it constantly provokes and angers its opponent, causing the opponent to attack out of anger.

This is their fighting style.

But since Xia Yan knew about this characteristic of the blocking bear, he naturally wouldn't let the elves fall for it.

So he reached out and stopped the Fire Monkey from charging forward.

Moreover.

Judging from the imposing roar of that bear that blocked the way, it must have at least the strength of a gym leader.

They have no problem dealing with elite-level Ursaring and Infernape, but they are still a bit lacking when it comes to Gym Leader-level Ursaring.

Even.

Fighting-type Pokémon are four times stronger than Dark and Normal-type Pokémon like Obscurus.

However, this fourfold restraint is not enough to make up for the gap in hard power.

unless.

They have a powerful enough assistant to support them.

"Os".

But Latios tugged at Xia Yan's sleeve and pointed to the arm that was blocking the bear.

The bear has a menacing cross on its arm, which seems to be meant to increase its ferocity.

However, unlike ordinary blocking bears...

Although the bear blocking the way also has a cross on its arm, a multicolored stone is tied to the outside of its arm.

However, it is not so conspicuous because it is covered by its thick fur.

Latios, on the other hand, was very observant.

Xia Yan glanced at it twice, then lowered his eyes.

We don't know what it is yet, but it seems to be something more than just a simple thing.

Let's first subdue this group of charging bears and that blocking bear, then we'll know what they are.

Xia Yan's hand brushed across his waist.

At the same time, I'm also thinking about which Pokémon to choose.

After a brief moment of thought, he took one of the coins and gently opened it.

"Zhihua~~"

Zhihui Xing, holding a fan, appeared beside Xia Yan.

If we say...

In Xia Yan's team now, who can maximize the fighting power of the three little ones, far exceeding their own strength?

The only support character like this is Zhihuixing.

Although the "magic space" does not apply to the three little ones.

Even without the "Trick Room," the support abilities of the Gorilla are beyond doubt.

Xia Yan's idea was very simple.

He wanted to take advantage of the fact that the wild Pokémon were not very strong before they got close to the Sky Pillar, so he could train the three little ones more.

Once we get closer to the Sky Pillar, the wild Pokémon might be even stronger, and by then, we might not have the chance to train them anymore.

The appearance of the intelligent gorilla caused the straight-running bears surrounding them to show fear.

"Roar--!!"

But he quickly suppressed his fear amidst the bear's angry shouts.

The Obscurus is not afraid of battle, even though Oranguru put a lot of pressure on it. As a Dark-type Pokémon, it has a natural aversion to Psychic-type Pokémon.

However, after the appearance of the Smart Gorilla, the Straight Bear and the Block Bear put away their underestimation of it.

The blocking bear's eyes darted around, then it turned to the intelligent gorilla, crossed its arms in front of its chest, and opened its mouth as if to roar again.

This is its very skillful "provocation".

However, before it could unleash its attack, Zhihui Xing gently waved its fan.

The bear launched a "provocation" before it could block the others.

This caused the bear to freeze in its movements and expression, its voice stuck in its throat, unable to come out.

next second.

The bear, its eyes bloodshot from the "provocation," strode forward.

Its actions, for the charging bears, are a signal.

Battle is imminent.

The three little ones were already prepared for battle.

Infernape was the first to attack.

Fighting-type has a fourfold type advantage over Ursaring, so it takes the lead in attacking at this moment.

With each step, he covered several meters, his concentrated fist driving up his entire aura.

A punch carrying a fierce impact slammed the head of a charging bear straight to the ground.

The charge towards the bear came to an abrupt halt.

With just one punch, he was knocked down by Infernape.

After several "Boost Punch" attacks, Infernape's attack power has been greatly enhanced. With a four-fold advantage, it can knock out Ursaring's fighting ability with a single glance.

and this.

This marks the beginning of the conflict between the two sides.

"Os!"

Latios throbbed its body, and tiny dragon scales shot out from its body. With such a dense number of dragon scales, Latios didn't even need to control the direction of the scales; a single sweep was enough to cause considerable damage.

the other side.

After "provoking" the Block Bear, the Gorilla remained calm and did not launch an attack, but instead gave the Block Bear another "delay".

It understood Xia Yan's meaning.

It was brought out to keep the three little ones in check.

This blocking bear is the final test Xia Yan left for the three little ones, and it is the object to examine the results of their month of preparation.

Although the three little ones are not as strong as the blocking bear, if they cooperate well, handle things properly, and with its assistance, they are not without a chance of winning.

So what it needs to do now is very simple: just hold off this blocking bear.

With the threat of the blocking bear gone, the three little ones felt much less pressure.
