Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"Dobing!"

Suddenly, the stern-faced head of Double Ice let out a cry.

"Dobing!"

"Dobing!"

"Dobing!"

"..."

Before Xia Yan could finish speaking, sounds of varying distances came from the vast snowstorm.

Xia Yan: "..."

He thinks his characteristic might be that he has a "jinx" – that he can say whatever he wants.

Amidst the hazy snowstorm, Double Ice and More Ice slowly came into view.

Xia Yan's expression gradually became serious.

"Double sword sheaths".

He called out softly.

"sigh--"

The twin sword sheaths immediately emerged from Xia Yan's shadow. Upon seeing so many Double Ice cubes, his face was filled with bitterness and helplessness.

We're surrounded...

However, regardless of the circumstances, the Steel-type Dual Blade Sheath has an attribute advantage over the Ice-type Double Ice.

"Lucario".

On the other side, Cynthia also threw out a Poké Ball.

In the red light, a handsome, upright, blue-black elf appeared beside her.

Compared to dual scabbards, Fighting and Steel-type Lucario has a greater advantage when facing Double Ice.

"Street dog...."

Every Pokémon enthusiast has their own favorite Pokémon. While Lululemon may not be everyone's favorite, it's highly likely to be in the top three.

That's how popular they are.

"How so?" Cynthia asked.

Xia Yan glanced around, a slow smile playing on his lips. "One for each of us."

“Okay.” Cynthia did not refuse.

Teaming up with Cynthia would be the safest option, but since the two haven't worked together before, their chemistry is uncertain. It might be better for each of them to take charge of their own tasks.

"Double sheaths, Togekiss, Kadabra," Xia Yan called out softly.

The three elves immediately understood.

No Beedrill was summoned.

Since it doesn't seem necessary, it's also a good opportunity for the three little guys to get used to how to fight without Beedrill.

Most importantly, Xia Yan wanted to try out the combination moves that the dual sheaths had been trying to use but hadn't been able to execute smoothly before, and see if he could use them this time without the pressure of Beedrill.

With Kadabra as the core and Togekiku as the controller, the dual scabbards serve as both offensive and defensive weapons.

Just to be on the safe side, Xia Yan kept Sakura on his shoulder.

Although the cherry blossoms have shrunk into buds due to the weather, and the "Gift of Flowers" ability cannot be triggered, its healing ability is its greatest advantage.

"Dual scabbards, continuous slash + holy sword!"

Chapter Twenty-Three: Consecutive Slashes + Holy Sword!

The combination of consecutive slashes and the Holy Sword was a technique that Xia Yan had his dual sword sheaths try to learn and use when he was in the Regigigas alternate dimension.

Combo Slash: Deals damage to the target. Each successful combo slash doubles the power of the next attack. If the attack misses, or the user leaves the battle or uses another attack, the power is reset to the base power.

In other words, although the base power of the move "Chain Slash" is 40, its maximum power is 160, which is even higher than the power of most Pokémon's ultimate moves.

The dual-scabbard design, which offers no defense, greatly increases the probability of both sides hitting each other, allowing the power of the combo attack to stack up faster.

If the "Holy Sword" move, which has a base power of 90, can be added to the combo, then theoretically, its maximum power can become 360!

Of course, this is only in theory.

The dual scabbards are needed to combine the power of the "combo slash" move with the "holy sword".

The difficulty is definitely not ordinary.

However, the dual sword sheaths have one advantage that most elves cannot match.

It has two swords!

Two bodies!

If the two swords are used well, it is possible to achieve continuous and uninterrupted attacks.

As one sword is swung, another is ready.

This also increases the theoretical possibility of combining the combo attack and the Holy Sword technique.

However, this puts a great test to the dual sword sheaths' control over themselves, as well as their mastery and coordination of moves.

Therefore, when in the alternate dimension, the dual sword sheaths were unable to successfully use this combination of moves.

Therefore, Xia Yan had considered whether he could also utilize the other consciousness of the twin sword sheaths, the more insane and volatile consciousness, and have each control one sword, which would greatly increase the feasibility.

However, the dual sword sheaths were unable to establish friendly communication with its other consciousness.

Xia Yan originally intended to have the dual sword sheaths master the sword during the planned period of reflection.

Even if you're not an expert, you should at least be able to get the basics down.

But now the "Trials" and "Lily of the Valley Youth Tournament" held by the alliance have disrupted his opportunities.

He could only try to put pressure on the dual sword sheaths and unleash their potential to see if he could combine the two moves.

"sigh--"

At Xia Yan's signal, the two sword sheaths gritted their teeth and charged forward.

Clang——

Both swords were drawn simultaneously, and they entered battle mode.

At the same time, Yunjira creates a mental field, and Tokiku unleashes its supernatural power, providing some auxiliary support to the twin scabbards.

The main force in this battle was undoubtedly the twin sword sheaths.

Swish!

The sword, imbued with a bluish-green glow, swiftly advanced to the nearest Double-Strike Ice-type Pokémon, unleashing a series of Bug-type moves.

Bang!

Attacked by Togekiss's supernatural power, Double Ice, now in a cowering state, had no ability to dodge and took the hit head-on, being swept away.

The attack from the dual sword sheaths did not end. He closed in again, his figure shifting between shadow and solid form. He used the speed boost from the shadow attack to compensate for his own slow speed.

Holy Sword!

A pale blue sword shadow covered another sword. The "Sword of Equality of All Things" struck Double Ice again. The powerful impact of the fighting-type move cut off many ice shards from Double Ice.

boom!

It crashed into the snowdrift and disappeared in an instant.

However, after the Holy Sword was used, the double power effect brought about by the consecutive slashes hit by the dual scabbards also disappeared.

"sigh....."

The two sword sheaths had anticipated this outcome, but they still couldn't help but show a hint of disappointment.

I've been practicing for so long, and I still can't even get the basics right.

Xia Yan said it has great talent, was he wrong?

Just as the twin sword sheaths were caught in self-doubt, the surrounding Double Ice saw its companion being attacked and its two swords being smashed into the snowdrift, and only now did it finally react.

"Dobing!"

"Dobing!"

Pale, crystalline powdery mist billowed from the openings above the heads of the Double Ice Demons, sweeping towards the twin sword sheaths from all directions.

Freeze-drying!

"Double sheaths, shadow attack!"

Xia Yan, who was not far away, saw that the use of the Twin Swords Sheaths to combine the slash and the Holy Sword had failed, and he also saw that it was falling into self-doubt, but now was not the time to be distracted.

If you're not careful, with so much double ice, even if the Twin Swords Sheaths are Steel-type Pokémon, they're bound to be frozen into ice blocks.

"sigh!"

Upon hearing Xia Yan's words, the two sword sheaths shuddered.

Quickly realizing what was happening, he instinctively used Shadow Strike, disappearing into the shadows underground to dodge the attack.

However, the attacks were too intense, and the twin scabbards were a beat too slow to react. Nearly half of its body was still hit and covered with a thick layer of ice.

Freezing effect!

The already slow movements were further restricted.

"Dobing!"

Seeing that the double sword sheaths had not been frozen into ice blocks, the Double Ice Demons immediately located the spot where it had hidden.

"Cherry blossoms, aromatherapy."

Just then, Xia Yan's voice came through.

"Yingbao—"
