Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"It's nothing, just be careful."

...

...

Mystery.

Xuefeng City.

After learning some inside information about the Hunter's Guild from Wataru, Natsuhiko successfully arrived in Snowpeak City before nightfall. Snowpeak City is located in the northernmost part of the Sinnoh region and is also the only city in the Sinnoh region that is completely covered in ice and snow.

Upon entering Xuefeng City, one can clearly feel the desolation of the city; the roads, covered in snow, are almost deserted.

It was winter, and Xuefeng City was the northernmost city. At this time of year, residents either went to other places for tourism and vacation or stayed at home with the heating on. Not many people would go out and wander around the streets.

Upon arriving in Xuefeng City, Xia Yan immediately plunged into the black market.

From the St. Annes to Sinnoh, and then on foot all the way to Snowpeak City, Xia Yan accumulated a lot of resources and captured a lot of Pokémon during this time.

These all need to be sold on the black market.

With the addition of Snorlax, and given its terrifying appetite, Xia Yan's Energy Cubes were running low.

I need to buy some tree fruits and materials to make it myself later.

The awakening of his superpowers allowed him to attempt to create more complex energy blocks.

This may become one of his main sources of income for some time to come.

Compared to the deserted streets of Xuefeng City, the black market was much more lively.

The influence of the local boundaries is also very noticeable in the black market.

Most of the Pokémon sold in the Pokémon Shop are Ice-type Pokémon, and their prices are generally lower and cheaper.

In the Pokémon Food Shop, there are also many foods and berries belonging to Ice-type Pokémon.

When Xia Yan was selling the Pokémon he had caught, he could clearly feel that this place had the highest foot traffic.

Among the people coming and going, there were more people selling elves than buying them.

The Hunter's Guild has deployed some of its personnel to Snowpeak City, and these Pokémon hunters earn extra money in their spare time, causing the price of Pokémon on the black market to drop again and again.

After selling all the Pokémon he could, Xia Yan only received two million League Coins.

While this is partly because these Pokémon are either not very strong, not rare, or already have trainers, the price is still quite low.

But there's no way around it; he probably won't be leaving Snowpeak City anytime soon, and keeping these Pokémon on him would just be a waste of food, so he might as well sell them as soon as possible.

Xia Yan didn't hesitate to use the money he earned to buy a large amount of Pokémon food materials, including berries.

Fortunately, the price of elves is decreasing, and the prices of these fruits and materials are also decreasing.

After going back and forth, it's not a complete loss.

After finishing these chores, it's time to get down to business.

Based on his observations, Xia Yan quickly identified the Pokémon shop that the Hunter's Guild operated on the black market.

It has the most people coming and going, and the Pokémon in the store are arguably the best quality in the entire black market, covering the widest range of regions and species.

His goal was simple.

Join the Hunter's Guild!

First, obtain an identity, then find an opportunity to visit the vicinity of the Snow Peak Temple. Ideally, you should be able to contact the people inside the Snow Peak Temple so that you can make arrangements for Meiyu and the others.

Furthermore, as a loosely organized hunter guild, it doesn't conduct much investigation into the identities of its peripheral members.

Otherwise, with so many elf hunters in the elf world, some of whom are even members of various underground forces and "part-time" elf hunters, how could they possibly investigate them all?

most.

Those hunters who were recruited by the twenty-six people need to be thoroughly investigated.

Chapter 143 Elf Hunter

He walked out of the elf shop with a brand new identity document in his hand.

Xia Yan's expression was somewhat strange.

To be honest, he really didn't expect that becoming a registered Pokémon Hunter in the Hunter's Guild would be so easy.

of course.

He is now considered an outermost member. Apart from gaining some benefits from selling and buying Pokémon at the Hunter's Guild's Pokémon Shop, he receives no other benefits and naturally does not need to bear any responsibility.

As for the Hunter's Guild's mission regarding the Snow Peak Temple, it had absolutely nothing to do with him.

However, the Hunter's Guild has also issued many Pokémon capture quests. After completing these quests, players can sell the captured Pokémon directly to the Hunter's Guild and earn Hunter's Guild points in return.

These points have no real use; they are simply points used by the Hunter's Guild to register hunter ranks.

The Hunter Guild divides hunter ranks into ten levels, from level one to level ten.

Levels one to three are considered complete peripheral members, while levels four to six are peripheral members with a certain status. If they are lucky enough to be favored by core members, they can join their ranks and complete some tasks with higher points.

Starting with a level 7 Elf Hunter, one becomes a formal member of the Hunter's Guild, enjoying various benefits and advantages provided by the guild, and also gaining certain rights.

Level 9 hunters are considered the true core members of the Hunter Guild, possessing the power to participate in and even make decisions regarding major events within the guild.

The number of level 10 hunters is fixed at 26, each with their own unique letter. They are the true high-ranking members of the Hunter Guild, determining all the guild's development direction and event decisions.

As for the status of these twenty-six people, that depends on their abilities and strength, and it's not entirely fixed.

These are all summaries that Xia Yan compiled from the information he obtained from Du, Kona, Binena, and Ange.

It's not exactly a big secret; quite a few people know about it.

Anjie is a level 5 hunter and a member of Hunter A's team.

Among the top six people who can join the Hunter's Guild, Hunter A's position means that, if he develops and grows normally, he has a very promising future.

Unfortunately, he was defeated by Xia Yan.

The Hunter Guild's ranking system is mostly based on points. Some people may not be very strong, but because they complete a lot of missions, they can earn enough points to keep their ranking high, and may even be higher than those hunters who are stronger.

In short, everything is based on points.

However, as long as you are strong enough, catching more powerful Pokémon will always lead to faster advancement.

Once you reach level seven hunter, you're basically at the level of true strength.

Furthermore, some items exclusive to Elf Hunters, such as the "High-Concentration Tranquilizer Gun," the "High-Toughness Capture Net," and even the "Petrification Gun," are technological products that can only be purchased after a Hunter reaches a certain level.

Xia Yan casually accepted a few quests to capture Ice-type Pokémon.

This would give him a more legitimate reason to approach the area where the Snow Peak Temple is located.

Then Xia Yan became a "glorious" elf hunter.

He also used the nickname he casually gave Ange: the elf hunter "Bee Sting".

...

...

After leaving the black market.

Xia Yan found a decent hotel and rented the largest and most spacious room.

no way.

Even in the past, we could squeeze into smaller rooms.

But not anymore.

Snorlax's presence forced him to choose rooms that were as large as possible and had a sturdy enough building structure, otherwise Snorlax would have really crushed those shoddy construction projects.

As is customary, Yongjira was asked to check the room's security.

There are quite a few elf hunters in Snowpeak City, and who knows what outrageous things they might do.

Therefore, even after returning to the city, we cannot let our guard down.

The Pokémon were allowed to play freely in the spacious room, flipping and rolling around on Snorlax.

Xia Yan sat on the ground with a pile of devices made of energy cubes in front of him. He was going to try to control these devices with his superpowers.

Before that, however, he turned his attention to the elf incubator in front of him.

Inside, a fairy egg covered in blue and white stripes rests quietly.

It was a gift from the "Meteor People" of "Meteor Village".

The incubator's monitor still doesn't show the incubation time, indicating that incubation will take a long time, and even the incubator can't be sure.

"The hatching period for Dragon-type Pokémon eggs is relatively long, but it's been so long and there's still no sign of anything, which is really excessive."

Xia Yan rubbed his chin.

We don't even know what kind of spirits are inside.

However, this time he specifically bought some berries and materials that are quite helpful to dragon-type Pokémon, wanting to try to make some special potions to see if he could nurture them before they hatch.

"I just hope the main type of the hatched Pokémon is Dragon, but not just Dragon," Xia Yan silently prayed.

As we all know, most of those pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon are not solely of the Dragon type.

For example, Dragonite and Salamence are Dragon and Flying types, Garchomp is Dragon and Ground type, Hydreigon is Dragon and Dark type, Kommo-o is Dragon and Fighting type, and Dragapult is Dragon and Ghost type.

Of all the known pseudo-legendary Dragon-type Pokémon, only Goodra is a pure Dragon-type.

But sticky dragon...

The situation with Nian Meilong is too complicated, and Xia Yan doesn't want to get involved.

Besides these, the only Dragon-type Pokémon are Haxorusaur and Red-faced Dragon.

The Haxorus is alright, but the Red-faced Dragon...

Let's go with the sticky dragon then.

It's at least a near-godlike character.

As Xia Yan prepared the medicine, his thoughts wandered.
