Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Mega Beedrill was actually quite shocked. It hadn't expected such a change in itself. All it knew was that a continuous stream of power was gushing out from its body.

After the initial excitement subsided, Xia Yan's body suddenly stiffened, and fine beads of sweat seeped from his forehead.

In just a few seconds, he was under tremendous pressure.

Mega Evolution is not only a test for the Pokémon, but also a test for the trainer. At this moment, his body is under tremendous pressure, and he knows he can't hold on for long.

"Beedrill, finish this quickly!"

Beedrill also sensed Xia Yan's change and no longer hesitated.

With a flap of its wings, it left a golden afterimage and shot towards Slowking.

Slowking was astonished by Beedrill's transformation and was momentarily stunned.

It was directly approached by the giant Beedrill.

When I realized what was happening, I reacted hastily, straining my mind!

But facing Slowking's Psychic attack, Mega Beedrill showed no intention of dodging. With its two needles crossed in front of its chest like a real spear, it charged straight in, defying Slowking's Psychic attack.

Just as Slowking thought that Mega Beedrill was being a bit too arrogant about its strength, the image of Mega Beedrill in its pupils was getting closer and closer.

Super Beedrill, defying its psychic powers, approached it.

Under his sharp gaze, the crossed spears slashed out in a cross shape.

Cross shears!

boom!

Under the horrified gaze of Slowking.

Its massive body was sent flying backwards.

Slowking used the same attack method on Kadabra, and Beedrill returned it exactly as it was!

The terrifying boost brought by Mega Evolution is clearly evident on paper!

Chapter 124 Super Beedrill!

Mega Beedrill undergoes changes beyond just its appearance.

Beedrill has a base stat total of only 395, which makes it much weaker compared to other Pokémon based on base stats alone.

However, because the base stats are distributed reasonably, even if the overall base stats are low, the character will not be much weaker in terms of strength and growth potential.

After Mega Evolution, Mega Beedrill's base stats become 495, a full 100 points more.

Judging from the base stats alone, it's already a quarter of the way up.

However, Mega Evolution not only increased its base stats, but also adjusted Beedrill's previously somewhat unreasonable Special Attack stat.

Beedrill originally had a Special Attack stat of 45, but since Beedrill is a Pokémon that is good at physical attacks, and moves such as Cross Scissors and Deadly Sting are also biased towards physical attacks, and it can only learn a few special attack moves, it can be said that Beedrill is a complete physical attack-type assassin, so the 45 Special Attack stat is somewhat useless.

After Mega Evolution, Beedrill's Special Attack stat becomes 15. The 30 stat points adjusted, plus the 100 stat points gained from Mega Evolution, are all allocated to Beedrill's most needed Attack and Speed stats.

Mega Beedrill's Attack stat jumped from 90 to 150, a very high stat among all Attack-type Pokémon.

Its speed stat also jumped from 75 to 145, almost doubling.

It can be said that the Mega Beedrill has a very reasonable distribution of its base stats, which is one of the reasons why Beedrill is so popular.

In addition to changes in base stats, there are also changes in traits.

Regardless of what Beedrill's ability was before Mega Evolution, it always becomes "Adaptability" after Mega Evolution.

Adaptability: The power of moves of the same element as the user is increased.

As is well known, Pokémon of the same type are more powerful when using moves of the same type.

From a game perspective, when a Pokémon of the same type uses a move of the same type, the power will increase by 50%.

Adaptability will amplify this enhancement to 100%!

That means it doubled.

Of course, this is in-game data and doesn't apply to the real world, but it still shows how much of a boost the Adaptability trait will give to Super Beedrill.

In addition, there's the "silver dust" it carries, as well as the attack power boost from the previous Sword Dance and Deadly Needle.

It's no exaggeration to say that at this point, the attack power of Mega Beedrill has surpassed that of Slowking, a Gym Leader-level monster.

and so.

Despite the type advantage, Mega Beedrill's enraged Cross Scissors attack dealt tons of damage to Slowking.

Even though Slowking's overall strength is greater than Beedrill's, with this gradual accumulation of power, Mega Beedrill's strength is already not much inferior to it.

As Slowking was knocked away, Mega Beedrill did not stop there. It charged forward again with its twin guns raised, closing in on its target.

hum-

The wings fluttered slightly.

At this point, there's no need for anything fancy. Mega Beedrill catches up with Slowking, which is flying backward, and once again wields its "simple and unadorned" cross-shaped scissors.

boom!

Slowking, which was flying backwards, froze instantly and was slammed to the ground by Mega Beedrill.

boom!!

Under immense force, the ground beside the pond suddenly cracked, and fine cracks spread out from the center of Slowking's body.

"Hiss!"

The giant bee's narrow eyes gleamed with ferocity, and it was about to unleash its scissor-like attack once more.

If this shot lands, Slowking could very well lose his life!

however.

Just as the giant bee was about to deliver its attack, it suddenly stopped.

He turned to look at Xia Yan.

Then Xia Yan slowly shook his head.

That's enough, no need to kill him. Otherwise, it wouldn't be right for Azelf to accept it. They've already returned Kadabra to Slowking.

the most important is.

Xia Yan couldn't hold on any longer.

His forehead was covered in sweat, and he clenched his teeth. His first Mega Evolution had put him under tremendous pressure and burden.

If he tries a few more times, it might get much better, but right now, he can't hold on any longer.

Seeing that Mega Beedrill had stopped moving, Xia Yan felt relieved. The light from the Key Stone in his hand instantly dimmed, and the Mega Energy on Mega Beedrill returned to the Mega Stone.

It returned to its original form.

Xia Yan stumbled and was about to fall, but a gentle force caught him.

It's Yungjila.

At the same time, Pokkigu and the single-edged sword came to his side, looking at him with concern.

Xia Yan's face was slightly pale, and he slowly shook his head.

Beedrill returned to his side and handed him a Mega Stone.

It knows that this special evolution cannot be revealed to the public yet. Unless it faces a life-threatening situation or is certain that no one will see it, the mega evolution cannot be known to anyone for the time being.

Xia Yan did not refuse and took back the Mega Evolution Stone.

Mega Evolution is not possible for the time being.

Having witnessed the power of Mega Evolution, his belief became even stronger.

You must collect as many Mega Stones and Key Stones as possible before Mega Evolution is fully released.

Suddenly, a piece of the thickest "veil" that was currently floating out of the lying-on-the-ground Daddy King floated out and entered Xia Yan's body.

Although he still couldn't break free of his shackles, his previously exhausted state was greatly restored.

I took a few deep breaths and slowly stood up straight.

With Slowking defeated, there are no more Pokémon standing in the way of Xia Yan and the hidden cave behind the waterfall.

Just now.

When he was undergoing Mega Evolution and in a fit of rage, Xia Yan vaguely felt the shackles within his body loosening. It wasn't very obvious, but that momentary loosening finally made Xia Yan understand what the "treasure trove" that Azelf was talking about really was.

His gaze was fixed intently on the cave behind the waterfall.

The feeling of being drawn to him grew stronger and stronger.

Furthermore, after the thickest layer of Slowking's superpower "veil" entered his body, it became somewhat restless again.

Suppressing that feeling once again, Xia Yan said calmly, "Take some time to rest."

Although there might be no danger ahead, he still cautiously chose to rest.

Having fought their way through the battles, the Pokémon, even if they were in good condition, must have been exhausted, especially Kadabra, which had taken the brunt of Slowking's attack and was not in good shape.

Beedrill also withstood Slowking's attack and suffered considerable injuries, requiring recovery.

Fortunately, Kadabra can recover using Regenerate, and Beedrill can also recover with Togekiss's Dawn and Prayer, along with Power Cubes and Healing Spray.

After half an hour.

After getting into a good state, Xia Yan led the group of Pokémon towards the cave behind the waterfall.

Yunjira's superpowers broke through the waterfall's obstruction, revealing the cave before them.

To Xia Yan's relief, Arknom was somewhat sensible; no elves were guarding the cave anymore.

Dim light pierced through the thick curtain of water, casting a weak halo of light into the cave, allowing one to barely make out the scene inside.

The cave is not deep.

Inside the innermost part is a low stone platform, on which sits a deep red pearl about the size of a thumb. The faint halo of light is contained and does not reflect outwards, but only flows on the surface of the pearl.

It was this very pearl that held Xia Yan in such high regard.
