Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Xia Yan nodded, not surprised, because when he saw the crystal, he was already completely certain of its identity.

Awakening after a thousand-year slumber for seven days, it possesses the ability to grant wishes. A Steel-type and Psychic-type Pokémon, a legendary Pokémon, a mythical beast...

Jirachi!

No wonder.

No wonder the first sound that appeared in Pokkigu's mind was singing.

Jirachi is drawn to creatures with pure hearts, and among its Pokémon, including itself, the one with the purest heart is Togekiss, who is carefree and has no worries, and sleeps after eating and drinking its fill. Next is Kadabra, and then Beedrill.

As for Xia Yan himself, he felt that he would probably never have any connection with the term "pure heart" in his lifetime.

But could Jirachi's actions be interpreted as...?

Are you saying he's "dirty"?

"Chocolate!"

Pokkigu, who had unconsciously moved closer to the crystal, suddenly shouted out in a somewhat tense manner.

Its little finger pointed to the intricately patterned crystal surface.

On that...

There's a crack!

Chapter Seventy: Kirachi

crack?

A crack has appeared on the crystal where Jirachi sleeps?

He took a few steps closer under Absol's slightly wary gaze.

The cracks on the crystal are very obvious and clear, spreading from the bottom to the top.

In addition to the main crack, there are many fine cracks around it.

It gives the impression that it would shatter at the slightest touch.

What would happen to Jirachi if the entire crystal shattered?

Premature awakening?

still......

If Jirachi awakens, its abilities, legends, and the many unusual phenomena that may accompany its awakening could attract those who covet its wish-granting power.

In the original story, there was a person who used Jirachi's power to create a fake Pokémon whose flying ability was always criticized, and it caused widespread destruction without any awareness.

It is clear that Jirachi's wish-granting ability is also flawed; not every wish can be granted.

At least that fake, criticized legendary elf that can't fly doesn't even know its signature move.

But that doesn't stop some people from having their eyes on Jirachi.

Furthermore, Xia Yan also knew that there was more than one Jirachi in this world; Ash Ketchum had encountered it twice in the original story.

However, most of the time the Jirachi are asleep, sleeping for a thousand years before they awaken for seven days.

Therefore, in most cases, there is only one Jirachi.

Crystals......

"and many more."

Xia Yan suddenly had an idea.

"Yongjira, those crystals from before..."

"Yongji."

Yongjira also realized what was happening, and opened its palm, revealing dozens of transparent crystals of varying sizes in its hand.

Xia Yan took out one of the pieces and carefully stuffed it into the crack.

The transparent white crystal was instantly turned purple when it touched the purple crystal where Jirachi was sleeping.

"really."

His last remaining doubts were also resolved.

When Abra evolved into Kadabra, she vaguely saw three figures.

He had a general idea of who two of them were, but based on the fragments of information he had previously gathered, he couldn't determine what kind of spirit the last, petite figure that liked to sing was.

But now, he understands.

That figure was Jirachi!

At the time, Casey had a crystal that had fallen from Jirachi's sleeping crystal. Casey felt that the crystal seemed to have some connection with superpowers, so Xia Yan gave it to him.

In retrospect, it is highly likely that Jirachi had some influence on Casey back then.

Furthermore, if Xia Yan remembers correctly, Casey's psychic powers fluctuated after she clashed with the solar rock carrying the crystal.

then.

Xia Yan believes that the superpowers of the Sun Rock triggered some of the dormant superpowers within Casey, thus propelling its evolutionary process.

But looking back now, it doesn't seem to be that simple.

'Perhaps... Jirachi's wish-granting ability propelled Abra's evolution?'

It's not impossible.

At that time, Abra was still at the Excellence level. After Togepi evolved into Togepi and gained the strength of the Senior level, it would be impossible for it not to have any thoughts about watching Beedrill break through its limits and reach the Elite level.

Both Abra and Kadabra are very competitive, and although they don't say it, Xia Yan, as their trainer, knows this very well.

Did he really think that Yongjira secretly practiced extra every night after falling asleep and that he didn't know?

He just didn't say anything, going along with Yunjira's strong-willed nature.

'If Casey had a strong desire to evolve at the time, that possibility certainly exists.'

However, it was just a small piece of crystal, so of course it didn't have the ability to fulfill Casey's wish. Even the huge crystal in front of them now probably didn't have that ability.

However, it did not fulfill Casey's wish; it only provided a little guidance. The main reason was that Casey was already on the verge of evolution.

According to this idea...

When Casey evolved, it was fighting a group of Sunrocks that possessed these crystals.

Its own changes, combined with Jirachi's ability to grant wishes, led to its evolution into Kadabra.

Recall when Togekiss first heard Jirachi's voice?

Wasn't that right when we first encountered Sun Rock?

This immediately connected many causes and consequences.

At that time, Abra evolved into Kadabra and together they cleared out the group of Solrock. Afterwards, Abra discovered a mysterious entity hiding in a corner observing them.

The four footprints on the moss and the white hairs left behind also match Absol.

So Absol wasn't actually observing them, but rather searching for these broken crystals.

And the reason they encountered Absol after emerging from underwater and were brought here was because of the crystals on Yundira's body.

That seems to make sense.

However, another question immediately arose in Xia Yan's mind.

Why did the fragments that broke off from Jirachi's sleeping crystal end up on Sunrock?

This is a problem.

and also.

What caused the cracks to appear on the crystal? Was Absol fighting a Pokémon or a human in this cave?

Moreover, he also discovered...

Although the crystal blocks were rendered into the same purple color after coming into contact with the crystal, these crystal blocks did not directly fuse with the crystal.

These crystals will fall off with the slightest vibration.

In other words, even if these crystals are found, the damage to the crystals that Jirachi is sleeping in is irreversible.

“No.” Xia Yan shook his head at Absol.

Absol also witnessed this scene, and his eyes darkened.

In fact, even if it could be repaired, the crystals that Xia Yan has collected are not enough to completely fill the cracks in the crystals.

The quantity is insufficient.

At least half of the crystal fragments are scattered in some places within Meteor Falls.

Then Absoluson's body trembled slightly, and some tiny crystals of varying sizes fell from the gaps in its fur.

Xia Yan narrowed his eyes and looked at it with some surprise.

Absol also collected quite a few.

But it's still useless.

The Jirachi Sleeping Crystal is beyond repair; even finding all the scattered crystal fragments will be of no use.

but......

When Jirachi transmitted his voice to Pokjigul, he didn't detect anything particularly wrong with it.

Even if it's not repaired, as long as it stays here quietly and isn't disturbed, there shouldn't be any problems, right?

Seemingly sensing Xia Yan's confusion, Absol whispered softly.

"Waaah..."

'If it's not repaired, its energy will continue to drain away, and before it can awaken, it will remain in a deep sleep until it dies...'

"I'll die..."

Even mythical beasts can die.
