Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Cibana, however, was not intimidated by Akin and prepared to greet him.

"Very well, I'm also very annoyed that someone calls themselves 'Grandpa' in front of me."

Listening to the two "clowns'" ramblings, the rest of the people in the private room decisively chose to ignore them.

"No. Professor Xia Yan is not that kind of person. He is always meticulous in his work, and it is impossible for him to be so arrogant when facing Genji.

Qinglu gently rubbed her chin, rejecting Ajin's judgment based on her impression of Xia Yan.

Wataru, Daigo, Cynthia, and the others exchanged glances.

They couldn't help but smile.

You wouldn't believe it, Qinglu and Xia Yan have somewhat similar personalities.

I do know a little bit about it.

“Hmm.” Cynthia pursed her lips and said slowly, “Yes, so the Serpent and Nine-Tails in the team are Xia Yan’s backup.”

“He’s probably confident that he can defeat Elite Four member Genji with just these two Pokémon,” Daigo added.

after all.

They had seen the Sirfetch'd Sword and Shield King form before.

Everyone knows how much "damage" Xia Yan's Nine-Tailed Fox can inflict on Dragon-type Pokémon.

“I think,” Wataru said, standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at Xia Yan with a confident smile on his face in the arena. “Perhaps, Xia Yan’s other Pokémon will also give us a surprise.”

surprise?

The people in the private room were stunned for a moment.

Cynthia looked enlightened. "That makes sense, doesn't it?"

What style?

...

...

"Hahahaha—Xia Yan, we've known each other for a long time, haven't we? I just never expected that you would grow up to this level so quickly."

Genji smiled heartily.

They didn't have any extra emotions because of the lineup Xia Yan presented.

At this moment, all Xia Yan could sense from Genji was an intense fighting spirit.

Xia Yan also said with a smile, "Back then, I was very grateful to Mr. Genji for teaching me so much about Dragon-type Pokémon and training methods."

Genji waved his hand.

“I have taught many people, but you are the only one who has come this far.”

After a brief pause, he said, "To be honest, I've wanted to have a match with you for a long time. A really good, exhilarating match!"

Does this represent a battle between the older and younger generations of the league?

Xia Yan paused for a moment, then nodded vigorously.

He uttered a single word earnestly.

"it is good!"

Rumbling--

The entire arena underwent a dramatic transformation amidst the sounds of machinery.

Ordinary "grass fields" also appeared as a result.

In this battle, the two will fight in a grassy environment.

"Now, both players, please get ready!"

At the referee's signal, Xia Yan and Yuan Zhi simultaneously took out a Poké Ball.

"Battle begins!"

The flag suddenly fell.

On the big screen, between Xia Yan and Yuan Zhi's portraits, the sword and shield representing their battle emitted a dazzling light.

"Go!" Genji threw out the Poké Ball, his voice booming. "Let our opponents see the power of the men of the sea, Haxorus!"

roar--!!

Amidst a resounding roar, the scarlet double axes reflected glittering, cold light, while the dark green armor exuded a heavy and sturdy appearance. Under the powerful and fierce aura emanating from them, the grass on the ground was bent over.

At the same time.

The Poké Ball in Xia Yan's hand fell onto the field and opened in a red light.

"Nianmei——"

Compared to Haxorus, it doesn't have the same imposing roar, but it still carries its own unique characteristics and a strong sense of confidence that is in no way inferior to Haxorus.

Xia Yan's first Pokémon.

A jade-washed dragon!

Its surging momentum was in no way inferior to or lacking compared to Genji's Twin Axe Dragon.

King-level!

"I knew it!" Du said with a "I had it all under control" expression in the private room.

Xia Yan's Jadeite-colored Nume has successfully achieved the strength of a Champion.

and.

It's not just that he's just entered the King level.

As a specialist trainer of Dragon-type Pokémon and the Dragon-type Elite Four member, Genji's eyes lit up when he saw this Goodra.

Although he didn't know much about the jade-washed form of the Nymphaloid dragon.

However, his instinctive understanding of Dragon-type Pokémon made him acutely aware of just how exceptional the Goodra standing before him was.

Look at the serious expression on Haxorus's face.

Nothing could better prove this than the abilities and strength that Nyanmei Dragon possesses, and the threat it poses to it.

Roar--

However, the Haxorus did not show any fear or timidity. Instead, its body undulated and it growled, its scales trembling slightly.

"Can you feel the excitement and the rush of adrenaline?"

Genji also became excited, just like the Twin Axe Dragon.

With a wave of his hand.

"In that case, then, Double-Axe War Dragon, Dragon Dance!"

The battle between Xia Yan and Genji officially began at this moment!

roar--!!

With a powerful roar, the Haxorus was surrounded by dense dragon-type energy, and it moved its body in a special way, combining its unique steps, as it charged towards the Goodra.

With explosive force, its feet stomped the ground repeatedly, shattering pieces of the ground and sending mud flying into the air.

Xia Yan did not hesitate or waver for a moment.

"Nian Meilong, go into seclusion!"

Since Genji chose to launch a strong attack, and Haxorus is inherently good at strong attacks while Goodra is better at defense, it would be very unwise to confront it with one's own weakness against Haxorus's strength.

"Nianmei——"

With a soft groan, the sticky dragon swiftly curled its soft body into the massive metal shell on its back.

It gleamed with a metallic sheen and emitted a thick layer of mist that completely enveloped it.

A clash between the strongest spear and the strongest shield?!

The viewers watching this scene subconsciously glanced at the sword and shield between Xia Yan and Genji's portraits on the screen.

This time...

Is the spear sharper, or the shield stronger?

"Hahahaha—then we won't hold back! Haxorus, Earthquake!!"

Genji's laughter remained unchanged.

Faced with the ready-to-fight dragon, she decisively chose to attack.

only.

He did not choose to start with a Dragon-type move.

Although he didn't know much about Goodra in its Emerald form, he did know about its Steel and Dragon type combination.

With this attribute configuration, Goodra is not afraid of Dragon-type moves.

The best way to deal with this is to address the "earthquake" in the ground system.

All I saw was...

As the double-axe war dragon charged forward, its steps suddenly halted, kicking up a large amount of mud as it came to an abrupt stop.

Its thick, powerful tail slammed into the ground without hesitation.

In an instant.

The grass and ground throughout the area shook violently, and ripples of yellowish-brown color spread rapidly outwards from the center of the two-axe dragon.

Goodra is the main target of Haxorus.

Although it's not a Ground-type Pokémon, Haxorus's "Earthquake" move is no less powerful or imposing.

just.

What was unexpected was...

Neither Xia Yan nor Nian Meilong responded to the attack.
