Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

What kind of honor they will receive depends on how exciting the final match is.

The sacred flame burned brightly inside the arena.

Awooo—

Suddenly.

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, two melodious and high-pitched wolf howls came from afar.

In just a few blinks of an eye.

To the audience's astonishment, two wolf-shaped spirits, one red and one blue, appeared on the huge arena screen. They exuded a strong aura of killing intent and an irrepressible, surging fighting spirit.

A resounding clang!

Zangmarante!

Upon seeing these two legendary "Kings of Sword and Shield" appear, the audience erupted in cheers.

After the Mutana incident in Motogakure, the entire Galar region no longer had any doubts about the legendary "King of Sword and Shield" identity.

Sonia vindicated these two mythical beasts with her academic paper.

Xia Yan further explained the existence of Zacian and Zamazent, as well as the meaning they represent, in the same way.

The appearance of mythical beasts representing courage, justice, heroism, and many other positive qualities during the opening stage of this highly anticipated World Championship undoubtedly elevated the event to a whole new level.

"Wow! Teacher Xia Yan, you even called Cangxiang and Zangmarante?" A Jin rubbed his golf club, looking at Xia Yan, who was sitting with his arms crossed, in the lounge with a look of surprise.

Xia Yan's lips curved into a faint smile.

"A small-scale event."

Zacian and Zamazent, both mythical beasts, only made "small-scale" appearances?

but.

Wataru, Daigo, Cynthia, and others wholeheartedly agreed with this.

I've seen battles involving more than a dozen divine beasts, and now only two of them have appeared. What else could this be but a small-scale event?

But for the audience at the scene, it immediately ignited their enthusiasm.

just.

Even if this enthusiasm is high, it cannot last forever.

After about half an hour, some whispers began to emerge in the arena.

"The Pill Emperor hasn't arrived yet?" Du stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the empty platform, and couldn't help but ask with a twitch of his lips.

Xia Yan rubbed his forehead slightly. "I guess, maybe, probably... I'm lost, right?"

He clearly sent the taxi driver to pick up Dan Di.

If we let Emperor Dan come over himself.

We might not even be able to wait until dark.

This was just the journey from the Alliance headquarters in Gongmen City to the Gongmen Arena.

If it's a cross-city trip, then... we'll probably have to wait until tomorrow or the day after.

"He's here! The champion Dan Di has finally arrived!"

I don't know how long I waited.

Finally, some sharp-eyed viewers spotted the rapidly approaching black dot on the horizon just as they were about to fall asleep.

It was Dan-Dai, who had just gotten off a flying taxi, mounted a fire-breathing dragon, and arrived with his cape billowing.

pat-

It landed steadily.

They struck a signature pose.

“Now it’s ours—” Dante shouted.

"Championship Moment!"

! ”

The audience cheered enthusiastically, their deafening roars demonstrating Dante's immense popularity in the Gallar region.

Hearing the audience's cheers, Dante's smile widened.

"Without further ado, let's begin the lottery ceremony!"

The words fell.

On the huge screen hanging behind him, a series of photos with different appearances began to scroll.

One group after another was assigned, and amidst the gasps of the audience, the dust settled.

These 32 teams, no matter who plays whom, are all incredibly exciting to watch.

And the first one to appear.

【Yu Long Du VS A Jin】

wow——

Akin appeared alongside Crimson and Blue, and was also an intern teacher at Rainbow Academy.

So its fame is actually not small.

Oh, a little.

Crimson, Cyan, Yellow, and Blue are all current teachers at Rainbow Academy, while Akin is currently only a student teacher.

Xia Yan was genuinely worried about the students that A Jin would teach...

It might really turn the academy upside down.

As for Watari's popularity, it goes without saying that he is definitely a highly popular contestant.

"A dodo, a dodo bird?!"

In the lounge, Ajin's eyes widened.

He never expected that he would be the first to be challenged, and that his opponent would be the Dodo bird with whom he had a long-standing grudge.

This round.

It's a "situation of grudges"!

A cruel smile appeared on Du's face, and his malicious gaze sent chills down Akin's spine.

Xia Yan couldn't help but look at Dan Di on the stage.

I have to admit, Dan Di is a shrewd man when it comes to this arrangement.

As for the question of whether the lottery is random?

Hmph—

After looking at the upcoming match list, who would believe it's random?

[Daigo Zuvoki VS Michael] - A friendly match

[Cynthia VS Gatalia] - Sisters' Match

[Kona vs. Chibana] - Weather Bureau

【Crimson vs. Shiba】—A grudge match, albeit somewhat fitting

【Greenery VS Willow】—Teaching Bureau

...

To be fair, the above points are somewhat justifiable.

But when Xia Yan saw the next match list that popped up, he couldn't hold back anymore.

[Sakaki VS Gin]

Good guy!

A real father-son game!

Although this Sakaki is not the same as that Sakaki, just interviewing Gin about his inner turmoil at this moment will reveal the truth.

If it's true that Dante, or rather the organizers of the Galarian League, didn't pull any strings with this matchup list, Xia Yan would have eaten the table in front of him.

but.

Xia Yan waited for a long time, but his name didn't appear.

His photo was finally fixed on the screen near the end.

And his opponent...

[Natsuhiko VS Genji]

To be honest, Genji can be considered as half a teacher to Natsuhiko.

Back in Meteor Falls in the Hoenn region, Natsuhiko received some instruction on Dragon-type Pokémon from Genji.

Although they were not formally master and disciple, they were in fact master and disciple.

This round.

Calling it a "master-disciple relationship" wouldn't be an exaggeration.

"It's alright," Xia Yan said softly.

He noticed the gazes directed at him.

Xia Yan shrugged and grinned, "If I run into you guys and prevent you from making it to the final competition of the 'Eight Masters,' wouldn't I become a sinner?"

hateful!

He tricked me again!

Why would you go see him if you have nothing better to do?

The crowd had already begun to vaguely realize this.
