Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"World Championships?" Xia Yan leaned forward slightly.

This is a big investment.

Organizing a typical major competition requires a significant investment of resources, manpower, and materials.

The Masters tournament held in Kanto's Hakuginzan region previously involved a massive amount of resources.

The barriers that Xia Yan destroyed on the field alone were enough to drain the resources of a small to medium-sized enterprise.

But this time, what Lóz is going to host is actually a world championship that is larger in scale and of a higher level than the Masters!

In fact, the league already had a World Championship event.

It has been delayed in passing due to concerns about resource consumption.

Unexpectedly, Loz actually planned to host the World Championship using the resources of the Galar region and the Marocco Group alone.

This time period.

This was indeed somewhat unexpected for Xia Yan.

"Correct!"

Loz stood up, walked to the window, and looked down at the city of Hammerlocke.

"Champion Xia Yan, you've been in Galar for a while now, haven't you? You seem to know the Galar region quite well. We in the Galar region revere combat, love combat, and take pride in combat. I want to showcase this side of us to the world and make the Galar region a... holy land of combat!"

He wanted future generations to think of the Galar region whenever they faced a battle.

By completely merging the Galar region with the word "battle," the Galar region will become a battleground that everyone in the entire League longs for.

Although the investment is huge, extremely huge.

But the rewards will inevitably be even more terrifying.

Xia Yan even admired Loz's ambition.

This man is truly capable.

“Low-level management promotes products, mid-level management promotes services, and high-level management promotes habits.” Xia Yan said slowly, looking at Luo Zi, “President Luo Zi is very generous.”

Upon hearing Xia Yan's classification of management levels, Loz's eyes lit up.

"It seems that Xia Yan is also good at business."

Making "fighting in Galar" a habit is something only Loz would dare to do.

He reiterated, "I plan to rank this tournament using a points system, dividing it into Masters, Advanced, Super, and Standard levels."

He sat back down in his chair, took out a proposal, and handed it to Xia Yan.

Xia Yan didn't refuse and simply glanced through it a few times.

Just as he had predicted.

This World Championship is the "Masters 8" tournament that he knows.

All participants will start their matches from the no-ball level, with winners gaining points and losers losing points.

When a player's ranking enters the top 10000 in the world, they are promoted to the regular ball class.

When a player's ranking enters the top 1000 in the world, they will be promoted to Superball.

When a player enters the top 100 in the world rankings, they are promoted to the advanced ball level.

The eight players with the highest final scores will be considered Masters.

All regional champions are initially classified as Advanced Balls, the Four Heavenly Kings as Super Balls, and no one else can enjoy special treatment.

The points-based competition system will be maintained for three months.

When the final settlement time ends, the eight masters with the highest scores will hold the Eight Masters Tournament!

even.

Loz also made plans for the future.

Every three years, the Galar region hosts a World Championship. Except for the top eight players from the previous season, everyone else is automatically relegated to a lower rank and starts accumulating points again to try and achieve a higher ranking.

This is the ranking method.

This will inevitably lead to a certain phenomenon.

In the future, when two trainers battle, they will first look at each other's rankings.

For example, if a high-level player ranked 97th in the world is compared to a super-level player ranked 400th or 500th in the world, the difference in skill level between the two players is immediately apparent before the match even begins. The rankings can even be used as a reference to determine whether the match is worth continuing.

At the same time, this will inevitably lead to more trainers pursuing higher rankings and positions, and becoming more enthusiastic about the World Championships and the Galar region where the championships are held.

such.

This completely integrates elements such as "Galar," "battles," and "rankings" into the habits of every trainer.

After reading it, Xia Yan couldn't help but want to applaud the plan.

He knew all too well the allure of rankings.

Just like in the past, a certain league divided players into ranks such as King, Grandmaster, Master, and Diamond, which made countless people grind for the ranks day and night.

In addition, Galar's unique Dynamax ability makes it hard not to be attractive.

"Impressive." Xia Yan couldn't help but exclaim after quickly flipping through it.

Loz smiled with a hint of smugness.

He was actually quite satisfied with this.

"Therefore, I would like to invite Champion Xia Yan to be one of the spokespersons for this World Championship."

"Spokesperson?"

“Yes. I hope to use an exhibition match between you, Xia Yan, and Dandi as the opening match of this World Championship,” Loz said.

Xia Yan raised an eyebrow.

Looking at Rose with a half-smile, he said, "It seems that President Rose is also very confident that Dan will win this championship."

Loz, of course, understood the hidden meaning in Xia Yan's words, but instead of explaining, he simply said:

"Given your understanding of Dan Di, Xia Yan, I think you should have the same confidence as me, right?"

Xia Yan pursed her lips.

I took another look at the proposal in my hand.

After a brief pause, he nodded and said, "Okay."

Upon hearing this...

Loz's smile widened.

“It just so happens that I came here this time hoping that President Rose could help me out. It’s not a big deal for the president,” Xia Yan added.

"Oh?"

"I want a Giant Bracer."

Loz was taken aback.

He immediately replied decisively, "Of course, no problem. I'll have Olive prepare one for you, Champion Xia Yan, right away."

For most people, the "Max Band" is a relatively rare item, and it's not easy to get your hands on. You need to be lucky enough to get a "Wishing Star" and also need someone to help you make it.

But for Lorz, it was just a matter of a single sentence.

After saying this, Xia Yan stood up.

"That's troublesome."

...

...

After half an hour.

Standing on the edge of the open field outside Motogaku City, Natsuhiko looked up at the tall building in the city and frowned.

"Has nothing to do with Loz?"

"Waaah—"

Soroya, who was in his arms, also looked puzzled.

Throughout Xia Yan and Luo Zi's conversation, it had been listening silently and paying close attention to Luo Zi, but it couldn't detect any malice or even bad emotions from Luo Zi towards Xia Yan.

but.

He was clearly Xia Yan's prime suspect.

Xia Yan's judgments were rarely wrong, which puzzled Zoroya.

But whether it's its perception or Xia Yan's subtle hints during his conversation with Lorz, it all indicates that Lorz has nothing to do with this matter.

"But the more completely unrelated they seem, the less likely it is something that should happen to someone like Loz."

Who is Loz?

President of the Galar Union, and Chairman of the Marocco Group, which covers various industries in the Galar region.

What could possibly escape his notice in the Galar region?

Just like when Xia Yan entered Quan Guan City, he could clearly feel several gazes fixed on him.

In other words, someone like Dante, who is a bit oblivious, never thought there was anything wrong with Loz.

"Waaaaah~~"

Soroya gently nudged Xia Yan.

Seeing this, Xia Yan smiled again and patted its head.

"It's nothing. I just wanted to test the waters a little. Whether or not it's related to him, it won't affect the final result."

Soroya nodded repeatedly.

"Let's go. It's time to get our swords and shields."
