Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

...

...

Inside the tunnel.

Xia Yan, who was walking silently with the Nine-Tailed Fox and his bear apprentice, suddenly muttered to himself:

"What the Crowned King truly needs is the power of faith. Even if he retrieves the Snowstorm Horse and the Spirit Horse, his strength may not be able to return to its peak."

"When the time comes, we'll build a temple to promote it on your behalf... Could we exchange it for a horse?"

The method used on Arceus and the three rebellious dragons would likely be irresistible to the Crane Queen as well...

"Of course. The prerequisite is that you have to be able to beat those two horses."

Are mounts like Rayquaza and Giratina... proper mounts?

On mounts.

What was returned was a horse.

Chapter 175 Dorambalut's Past

"Vulcan Moth, Dance!"

The dazzling golden flames transformed into beautiful butterflies, which fluttered their wings and descended.

The last few snowflakes that had been hindering progress in the tunnel fell to the dancing flame butterflies.

You know what?

Although the wild spirits of the Crown Snowfield are powerful, they have also become the best "leveling-up" ground for Volcarona and the like.

"If the strength and level of elves were really like in the game, where you gain experience by fighting monsters and level up your strength based on that experience, I could level up all the elves to the maximum level in this Crown Snowfield before leaving," Xia Yan couldn't help but mutter to himself.

The Ice-type Pokémon that Volcarona defeated alone probably provided it with a massive amount of experience.

pity.

In this kind of real world.

These wild elves that block the way at most provide the elves with a decent training ground to hone their skills.

"This tunnel is quite long."

Xia Yan, who had been walking in the tunnel for a long time, still hadn't reached the end of the tunnel.

"I wonder if that ice-walking doll understood what I meant."

The further you go in, the stronger the wild Pokémon you encounter become.

Among the geometric snowflakes that Volcano Moth just defeated was a leader of geometric snowflakes with near-Elite Four strength.

The requirements for wild, near-Elite Four level Pokémon to appear in their natural environment are quite high.

However, in this tunnel where no one would likely enter and where there is human intervention, even wild Pokémon at near-Elite Four level might not be at their limit.

"Vulcan Moth, do you have a feeling that we're actually going up?" Xia Yan suddenly asked.

although.

Apart from the occasional wild Pokémon that appear, the environment around this tunnel remains unchanged. The entire tunnel is covered by a thick, hard layer of ice, and there is no sense of any change in direction.

But Xia Yan had a misconception.

It was as if it didn't lead to some underground depth, but rather extended towards Crown Mountain.

"Waaah~~"

The fire moth nodded thoughtfully.

"Really? The temperature around us is much lower than when we first entered the tunnel."

Listening to what Volcano said, Xia Yan said in a low voice.

"No matter what, maintaining the 'Butterfly Dance' state and ensuring sufficient response capabilities is always the right thing to do," Xia Yan added.

"Waaah~~"

The Vulcan moth flapped its wings, and a few shimmering scales fell, turning into sparkling flames that illuminated the tunnel.

that's it.

I don't know how long I walked.

According to the time displayed on the phone, Xia Yan had been walking for a full day and night, but there was still no change in his surroundings.

However, some of the wild Pokémon that appear from time to time have become somewhat different.

For example.

As Xia Yan led the elf through a tunnel that looked no different from any other, the thick layer of ice suddenly broke open.

Immediately following, shrouded in thick black mist, a Death God Board that had been slumbering within the ice for countless years suddenly launched an attack on Xia Yan.

Fortunately.

Although it takes a lot of energy to keep the Pokémon on high alert for a whole day and night, Xia Yan has enough Pokémon to rotate them around, so it's not difficult.

"Salamander, stop melee, use Water Cannon!"

"roar--!

"

The Salamence, barely able to fully extend its wings in the tunnel, roared out as a fierce jet of water shot from its mouth.

The surging water instantly blasted the Death Plate, which had broken through the ice, back into place.

At the same time, the extremely cold temperature quickly froze the water spewed out by the Salamence into ice.

The Death Plate was "sealed" back once again.

"I feel like we're getting closer and closer to some ruins. There are fewer and fewer active Ice-type Pokémon, but more and more Ghost-type Pokémon. Now even a Pokémon like the Death Plate, which represents the ruins, has appeared." Xia Yan ignored the black mist brought by the Death Plate. He was already used to such sudden attacks and just pondered to himself.

He had a premonition.

This long tunnel will soon come to an end.

as predicted.

After Salamence knocked the Death Plate away, it walked a little further before its view finally changed.

It is no longer just a long, narrow tunnel filled with ice crystals.

We entered an unknown space filled with pitch blackness.

Even the ice crystal coverage here is much less.

The surroundings were pitch black, and the spread of superpowers was blocked by an unknown force, making it impossible to sense the size or end of this space.

The light from the flashlight was not bright enough to completely illuminate the surroundings.

There was no other choice.

Xia Yan could only summon the Vulcan Moth again, using the flames generated by the flapping of its wings to survey the surroundings.

But when the golden light of the Volcano Moth rises, intertwined with wisps of black mist.

A snow-white figure suddenly floated towards him.

Xia Yan's expression changed slightly, but he remained calm and composed as he said:

"Salamander, Flamethrower!"

"Vulcan Moth, Dance of Fire!"

A sudden burst of intense fire erupted, blasting towards the oncoming white figure.

But then, a transparent, shiny barrier, like glass but interwoven with wisps of strange superpowers, suddenly lit up on the white figure's body, absorbing all the attacks from Salamence and Volcarona.

next second.

A dark blue flame, several times more ferocious than the attacks of the two elves, shot out from the transparent barrier and swept towards Xia Yan and the two elves.

Specular reflection!

Xia Yan immediately identified the opponent's move. Without a moment's hesitation, he clenched his fist and growled:

Salamence, Mega Evolve!

"roar--!

"

The interwoven rainbow light of the Mega Evolution instantly enveloped Salamence, and its appearance and aura changed immediately.

"A tremendous sound!"

"Roar!

"

Another roar of a dragon echoed, and waves of azure sound surged forth from the rainbow light.

As the aura of Mega Evolution dissipated, revealing the appearance of Salamence, the booming sounds, enhanced by the "flying skin," crashed against the dense, dark blue flames like waves.

boom!

In an instant.

As the two energies collided, creating a violent roar, specks of eerie blue flames, like will-o'-the-wisps or fireworks, scattered and slowly drifted down.

Simultaneously.

These pale blue flames further illuminated the surrounding environment.

Xia Yan saw scarlet eyes emerge from the eerie blue firelight, revealing cunning and ruthlessness.

Each pair of scarlet eyes represents a ghost-type spirit.

"Tsk."

Upon seeing this, Xia Yan couldn't help but frown, smack his lips, and reach for his waist.

"Have we stumbled into a graveyard? Or have we disturbed the lair of a Ghost-type Pokémon?"
