Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Togepi started the attack by shaking its finger. The psychic power transformed from the Secret Power enveloped the entire area. The activation of the Celestial Grace ability caused many Tentacruel and Agate Jellyfish to slow down.

"Casey, play Beedrill," Xia Yan gave the timely instruction.

Role-playing was the first superpower technique that Xia Yan got for Casey. She started learning it in the Underworld and has now mastered it.

It's difficult to be effective in one-on-one battles, but in group battles like this, because teammates can hold you back, you don't have to worry about exposing your weaknesses.

Role-playing: To role-play the target, making one's own characteristics similar to the target.

Casey's original ability was Magic Defense, but with the use of the "Play" move, Casey's ability became Sniper.

Because she wasn't very skilled, the release was relatively slow, but Togepi's secret power slowed down the opponent, giving Casey time.

Against the Water and Poison types Tentacruel and Agatejellyfish, the Bug and Poison types Beedrill are not at an advantage in terms of type. Instead, the Psychic type Abra can be more effective.

Role reversal.

Based on the opponent's actual situation and her own abilities, Casey took over the main offensive position from Beedrill.

Even if it's just an exceptional-level spirit.

However, with the addition of Psychic Terrain, Meditation, Sniper ability, and Togepi's support, plus the special pink shard obtained from Agatha, its attack power is comparable to that of a regular veteran Pokémon.

Beedrill, on the other hand, has shifted from the main attacker position to a more purely finisher role.

This is the strength of a nascent lineup.

With mutual cooperation, any shortcomings in individual abilities can be compensated for through teamwork.

"Kashi!"

Casey did not disappoint everyone's expectations and bravely took on the responsibility.

Sitting cross-legged in the air, its prayer beads rippled gently as its superpowers erupted, its powerful mental energy traversing a great distance to strike one of the agate jellyfish.

The objective is clear: clear out the smaller monsters first.

boom!

With a low groan, the agate jellyfish didn't even have time to react before its eyes rolled back and it sank underwater.

"Gurgle!!"

Seeing their kin fall, the stinging jellyfish erupted.

slam-la-

As they move, the water is parted to the sides, and even waves are created, rolling towards the beach.

But Casey and the others did not panic despite the attack launched by the enemy.

With each burst of superpowers and the power of mental focus, a jellyfish fell, and in the blink of an eye, half of the dozens of jellyfish had already fallen.

Togepi has already cast support moves like Prayer, Mystic Protection, and Lucky Charm on Casey.

A classic two-protect-one tactic.

The fastest-charging jellyfish approached Casey, riding the waves, its huge venomous stinger glowing with a purple aura, its poisonous attacks aimed directly at Casey's vulnerable body.

This guy is the one who caused them to suffer heavy losses.

"Chocolate!"

However, Togepi rang out at the right moment, bursting into light, and successfully used the "Focus!" move to deflect Tentacruel's attack.

Seizing the moment when the Tentacruel turned around, Casey struck its relatively vulnerable back with a close-range psychic attack, eliciting a scream of pain from the Tentacruel and an even more ferocious offensive.

But next second.

hum-

A subtle golden arc of light, Beedrill's deadly sting combined with its sniper-like abilities, caught Tentacruel in its rage, focused solely on attacking.

Pick at the thorns and push them up.

With a faint glow emanating from its body, it completed its harvesting task.

Pokerby's crisis was resolved.

They defeated one stinging jellyfish, but two more arrived at the same time, sensing the immense threat posed by Casey.

just.

Whoosh!

Before they could hit her, Casey vanished from the spot.

They teleported behind them.

He rapidly moved the prayer beads in his hand, his thoughts racing, and his powerful mental focus surged forth once more.

This time, Casey successfully triggered the Sniper trait effect, and with multiple amplifications, the veteran-level Tentacruel couldn't withstand the attack and was instantly killed.

The superior level easily surpasses the senior level!

It's not just about elemental advantage, but also a perfect example of teamwork.

"Chocolate!"

Well done, little fox!

Togepi clenched his little fist and used "One More Time" on the only remaining Tentacruel.

Provoked, the stinging jellyfish couldn't change its strategy and had to resort to its previous tactics again, but unfortunately, it had no opponent in front of it.

boom!

click!

Casey unleashed her attacks, Beedrill finished them off, and Casey was shot down once again without any chance to fight back.

This is the end.

Despite the combined efforts of Casey, Beedrill, and Togepi, and thanks to Xia Yan's skillful command and overall tactical deployment, the three veteran Tentacruel were defeated.

The remaining agate jellyfish couldn't even escape.

While their attention was focused on dealing with the stinging jellyfish and the agate jellyfish, a special sprite was also attracted.

It wasn't because of the sweet aroma, but because of the large number of fish and water spirits that gathered in the vicinity.

Chapter Twenty-Three: An exceptionally brilliant Laplace!

"Waaah—"

A clear, melodious, and cheerful voice drifted over.

The special frequency enabled the sound to travel a great distance.

Like the sound of a dolphin, it has a powerful piercing effect.

boom!

As the last agate jellyfish fell.

Before Beedrill, Casey, and Togepi could even rejoice at their near-perfect teamwork, they were drawn in by the beautiful sound.

Xia Yan also looked toward the source of the sound with some surprise.

What comes into view is a light blue, graceful body, gentle eyes, and a huge gray shell on its back, unevenly covered with coral-like rocks. The overall shape of the wooden elephant is somewhat like a sea turtle, except for its long neck and head.

"Laplace?!" Xia Yan narrowed his eyes, concealing the surprise and a hint of longing in them.

Is it really possible to encounter Laplace on Laplace Beach?

This was something he hadn't expected.

However, when Xia Yan saw the Laplace dinosaurs happily hunting on the sea not far away, its head diving into the water and biting off large numbers of fish before raising its head, he understood.

It is hunting, it is preying on prey.

Laplace is also a carnivorous elf, feeding on fish and other elves in the sea.

The sweet fragrance released by Xia Yan attracted many aquatic spirits and fish in the sea.

The scarcity of food in the ocean during winter makes hunting much more difficult, which is why this Laplace is attracted to it.

This explanation seems reasonable?

Xia Yan stared intently at the cheerful Laplace, discovering that it was unexpectedly outstanding.

Its excellence can be seen from the color of its skin, the hardness of its shell, the sparkle in its eyes, and its agile movements.

This naturally increased Xia Yan's desire for it even more.

"If you have a car, who needs a bicycle?"

I glanced at the docile Megalodon next to me.

The Megalodon felt a strange tremor in its heart upon seeing this.

Now that we've encountered it, we certainly can't let it just leave like that.

"Casey."

"Kexie—"

Casey nodded, understanding Xia Yan's meaning.

The other elves also understood Xia Yan's meaning.

The Megalodon obediently appeared on the shore, and Xia Yan, who was protected by Casey's superpowers, didn't need to worry about being hurt by its rough skin.

Togepi jumped onto Megalodon's head, stood on the five-pointed star above it, and looked at Laplace with curiosity and affection in its small eyes.

Their approach naturally caught Laplace's attention.

"Huh?"

Displeasure surfaced in his eyes.

Xia Yan and the others disturbed its eating.

The megalodon's malevolent gaze, in particular, made it very uncomfortable.

"Waaah!"
