Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

The flames on Infernape's head burned fiercely, its fighting spirit soaring, and its fervent enthusiasm almost palpable.

"Sticky Mei'er, I'll repay you double!"

Xia Yan calmly gave instructions.

Upon hearing this...

Goodra's body once again glowed with a dark red energy aura as it received the barrage of bullet-like punches from Infernape.

Bang Bang Bang!

The sounds of continuous punches rose and fell, and Goodra, enduring the fierce attacks from Infernape, retreated continuously.

Their feet dug two deep furrows in the ground.

just.

Each time Infernape's fist landed, it was accompanied by the solidification of the dark red energy wave accumulated on Goodra's body, until it was as if it was draped in a crimson coat.

Seeing this, Xiao Zhi not only did not back down, but became even more excited.

"Infernape, smash its 'Double Payback'!"

"Too impulsive."

In the stands, Qinglu couldn't help but shake her head.

Goodra has such heavy armor that it's impossible for Infernape to defeat it in a single close-quarters battle.

In the end, it is Infernape itself that will suffer the most damage.

But Red, standing nearby, laughed and said, "But that's Ash's fighting style."

Qinglu glanced at him sideways.

Ash's fighting style?

Is this how you guys, the "bond party" (a term referring to people who prioritize maintaining a strong bond with their friends), fight?

Go in and go all out first. If you can't beat them, activate the bond and lock your health for a comeback.

at last.

Infernape's rapidly descending fist slowed down, forcing it to give itself a moment to catch its breath with each powerful punch.

This is when Niu Meilong's opportunity will come.

Double the amount back!

"Nianmei——!

"

With a low growl, the dragon, having endured all the attacks from Infernape, finally unleashed all the power it had accumulated.

Peng!

A tremendous roar, and an even more ferocious and surging airwave.

The speed at which Infernape approaches is just as fast as the speed at which it is launched away.

boom!

Infernape crashed heavily to the ground, as if all the bones in its body were about to fall apart.

Sold out in seconds?

Did Infernape get instantly killed by the damage reflected from its own combo punches?

As the Infernape lay motionless on the ground, the audience couldn't help but have this thought pop into their minds.

But on the field.

Xia Yan raised an eyebrow again, looking at Xiao Zhi with some surprise.

Ash held his head high, his face full of fighting spirit, and his eyes full of trust in Infernape.

"Stand up, Infernape!"

As Ash's voice rang out.

The Infernape lying on the ground finally made a move.

“Ku-ge-”

Staggering and trembling, Infernape got up from the ground, hunching over with its arms hanging down naturally.

"Let's show our fighting spirit to Teacher Xia Yan, Infernape!"

"

next second.

"Ku-ah—!"

"

The Infernape, which had looked like it might collapse at any moment, suddenly tensed up like a fully drawn bow.

Followed by.

Flames overhead continued to leap up.

Flames washed over his entire body until he was completely covered.

In his bloodshot eyes, it seemed as if two blazing flames were burning fiercely, and the flames from his entire body illuminated the entire arena.

Fire!

wow——

The audience, witnessing this scene, were immediately infected by Infernape's exaggerated enthusiasm and surging fighting spirit, and couldn't help but cheer and shout.

"He knew that Teacher Xia Yan would definitely use Goodra's defense to launch a counterattack, so he let Infernape charge in, both to deal additional damage and to trigger Infernape's 'Firestorm' ability?" A hint of surprise appeared in Qing Lv's eyes.

When did Ash develop such tactical plans?

It will even actively utilize the characteristics of Pokémon?

Isn't "Firestorm" always the ultimate move that the bond-based players use to turn the tide of battle?

"They weren't even worried about the huge damage from 'Double Payback,' and just wiped out Infernape in one hit." Green shook its head.

But Red, standing beside him, was staring intently at Ash and Infernape on the field.

"Because of trust."

"Ok?"

"Because Ash believes that Infernape will definitely not fall here. Because Ash and Infernape share a common goal, they... their hearts are the same," Red grinned.

He saw his own reflection in Xiao Zhi more than once.

Qinglu turned her head and stared deeply at the crimson, her lips twitching.

the other side.

"Wow! Ash and Infernape's burning enthusiasm is overwhelming. I'm starting to get a little interested in them." Da Ye couldn't help but exclaim, unable to contain his excitement at being aroused by Ash and Infernape.

"Xia Yan... he really did have a chance to instantly kill Infernape just now, right?" Wu Song said slowly, adjusting his glasses.

"Hmm." Cynthia nodded slightly.

He looked at Xia Yan, who was standing opposite Xiao Zhi with a faint smile on his face.

"Given his control over tactics and the rhythm of battle, it's certain that Goodra can withstand a burst of damage from Infernape. The moment Infernape is knocked away, Goodra isn't without the ability to follow up with an attack, and it also has a chance when Infernape is down."

But he chose not to do either.

Kikuno, who was standing next to him, also spoke up.

The senior members of the Sinnoh League present could certainly see this.

"Now I understand why so many people call Mr. Xia Yan 'Teacher Xia Yan'."

Ah Liu shook her ahoge (cowlick) and said thoughtfully.

"Hmm..." Cynthia rested her chin on her hand, crossed her legs, and said thoughtfully, "She really does seem like a good teacher."

On the field.

As Cynthia and others said, he actually had a chance to defeat Infernape in one hit.

But why wasn't that done?

For a moment, Xia Yan really couldn't give a clear answer.

If I really had to say...

Don't want to be too cruel?

No, no.

perhaps.......

Just like when he played against United Nations champion Adek at the Masters, Adek also gave him more opportunities to showcase himself.

Perhaps, this is... inheritance?

It’s over.

Having been called "teacher" so many times, he actually wanted to see what Ash and Infernape could show him.

"Teacher Xia Yan, this is the result of our special training!"

Ash's feelings at that moment were completely aligned with Infernape's.

Xia Yan seriously suspects that if Infernape also has the ability to evolve through Bond Phenomena, then it might be able to undergo Mega Evolution.

"Go, Infernape, Flare Charge!"

Xiao Zhi suddenly clenched his fist and shouted excitedly.

"Kuh!"

"

The power granted by "Firestorm" greatly boosted Infernape's confidence.
