Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

This was Shinji's intuition.

Young Lady Prandina also sat down on the sidelines, head bowed, hesitating whether to wait for the gym challenge or talk to Xiaosong directly.

However, after only encountering Hikaru's gaze, the young lady immediately made a decision.

"That girl..." Hikari turned her head and whispered something to Satoshi.

But all Xiaozhi could be heard was shouting, "Teacher Xia Yan! Good luck!"

"Pikachu! Pikachu!"

"

Pikachu produced two flower balls from somewhere, put them on its hands, and started dancing.

"Are you ready, Mr. Xia Yan?" Xiao Song asked excitedly as she took a box of Poké Balls from the gym leader.

Xia Yan adjusted his hat.

"Although it may be impolite, I still have to say it, Gym Leader Kosong, I'm going to have a real gym battle."

"A real dojo battle?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Song was immediately taken aback.

Ash, Dawn, and Miss were also taken aback.

Shinji couldn't help but narrow his eyes.

He thought to himself: Just as I expected!

Only Xiao Gang, after his initial surprise, explained to everyone:

"Gyms are League facilities established to test Trainers. Gym Leaders assess Trainers based on their abilities and strength, aiming to provide a suitable challenge for Trainers at different levels."

Brock, who was once a gym leader, is the most qualified to explain this.

He continued, "What Ash did just now was a normal gym challenge, but what Mr. Xia Yan wants to do... is a battle that truly showcases the strength of Gym Leader Xiao Song!"

In this regard.

Xiao Zhi found it very novel.

So there are different levels of gym challenges?

Does he qualify for a real dojo battle?

Shinji's expression became even more serious.

Although he and Ash are incompatible according to their birth charts, at this moment, he shares Ash's thoughts, wondering if he is qualified to participate in a real gym battle.

"Phew—I see, I understand now." Xiao Song nodded solemnly.

She then returned the Poké Ball box to the gym leader, revealing several Poké Balls at her waist.

The dojo referee also looked somewhat serious.

Compared to the rules of Ash's previous challenge, the actual gym battle is in a 3v3 format, but otherwise there are not many differences.

"Then my first Pokémon will be this one! Weavile!"

"Nura!"

"

In the red light, Xiaosong's first main Pokémon appeared: the near-Elite Four level Weavile.

Its aura was far stronger than the Sneasel that had just battled Ash.

Sensing the aura of this Weavile, Ash, Shinji, and the others on the sidelines immediately changed their expressions.

Only Xia Yan still had a smile on his face.

Throw out the Poké Ball.

"Waaah—"

As the brilliant flames appeared, the previously frigid temperature of the battlefield suddenly increased.

Amidst the golden flames, the sun, transformed into a fire moth, appeared on the field.

"Vulcan moth?" Xiao Song asked seriously.

I felt considerable pressure from the Volcano.

Ash and the others immediately took out their Pokédexs, and with the help of the Pokédex, they were able to recognize Xia Yan's Pokémon.

After the two Pokémon appeared, the atmosphere inside the gym immediately became serious.

"Battle begins!"

As the referee's flag suddenly fell, Xiao Song, having witnessed Xia Yan's strength, dared not underestimate him and launched a preemptive attack.

"Mavila, move at high speed, Flash!"

"Nura!"

Then I saw it.

Weavile rubbed its sharp claws as it walked on the ice. The ice surface of the Ice-type arena made Weavile feel like a fish in water, and its speed increased rapidly.

"So fast!" Ash exclaimed in surprise upon seeing Weavile's speed.

Xia Yan adjusted his hat, his eyes gleaming beneath the brim.

"Double Dance".

In an instant.

The fire moth flapped its wings, and as tiny specks of scales scattered, its entire body was instantly enveloped in golden flames.

Amidst the flickering firelight, the fire moth danced gracefully, bathed in flames.

"What kind of move is that?"

Ash, who had never heard of "Double Dance" before, was momentarily taken aback.

"It's a combination of Butterfly Dance and Fire Dance." Even Shinji in the corner spoke up, adding, "This Mr. Natsuhiko... is really strong!"

Shinji's older brother, Reiji, was also a remarkable trainer, even reaching the level of a reserve trainer who could challenge the leaders of the Frontier Zone. Of course, his vision was also a bit higher.

"An ice-type arena..." Hikari pointed at the arena in shock, "It's starting to melt!"

You should know that Ash's Chimchar didn't leave a single trace on the Ice-type Terrain just now.

But now, under the flames of Volcarona, the ice-type terrain has melted away silently?

This was the first time Xiaosong and Manila had encountered this situation.

Without the support of the ice, Weavile's speed slowed down, and its movements became much more sluggish in its surprise.

And in that brief moment of hesitation...

A golden butterfly swooped in, growing larger and larger under Mavira's incredulous gaze, until finally flames engulfed it.

boom!

!

"Mavira is incapacitated!" The referee announced the result with some surprise.

"It's over in seconds?!"

This result was hard for even the museum owner, Xiaosong, to accept.

Even though Weavile is twice as weak to Fire-type moves.

But it was over in seconds, that's too much...

When everyone looked at Xia Yan, their eyes couldn't help but show more respect.

Xiao Song quickly recovered and clenched her hands.

"Such a formidable opponent, I'm getting more and more excited!"

talking.

She summoned a second spirit.

It is also an Ice-type Pokémon, and also a near-Elite Four level Pokémon.

Ice Demon Guardian!

and.

They launched an attack immediately upon entering the scene.

"Ice Demon Guardian, Blizzard!"

A chilling aura swept through the arena, with the greatest firepower concentrated on the Volcano Moth.

But then Xia Yan slowly said, "Vulcan Moth, Fire Dance in the Hot Wind!"

"Waaah—!"

"

After receiving the "Butterfly Dance" buff and a "Fire Dance" buff, Volcarona becomes even faster.

Before the frost of the Ice Demon could reach them, the heat waves generated by the flapping of its wings instantly melted the ice and snow.

Large amounts of white mist rose up.

Amidst the hazy white mist, tiny flame butterflies danced and surged back with the heat wave, instantly engulfing the Ice Demon Guardian.

When the fog dissipates.

The audience members stared wide-eyed.

"It...it was done in seconds again?"

"The buffs from Butterfly Dance and Fire Dance are complete. Mr. Xia Yan's Volcarona now has explosive power comparable to a Champion-level Pokémon!" Shinji stood up from his seat.

Such a fire moth.

Can you take on three opponents at once?

This thought flashed through everyone's minds.
