Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

What about the young lady?

Various thoughts swirled in Xia Yan's mind, but it didn't hinder his conversation. He smiled and said, "Hello."

If Ash is here, wouldn't that mean he'll just stumble upon the Snow Peak Temple storyline?

Upon seeing Ash, Xia Yan knew that something was wrong with the world of this special episode.

"Eh? Mr. Xia Yan, are you also going to challenge the gym?"

When Xiaosong, dressed in a sailor uniform and with her hair in pigtails, learned of Xia Yan's intentions, she showed a surprised expression.

"What's wrong?" Xia Yan asked.

Xiao Song shook her head.

"N-nothing. It's just a bit strange. Usually, very few people come to Snowpeak City to challenge the gyms, so I only come back to the Trainer Academy as a part-time teacher when I have free time. But these past few days, it seems like there have been a lot more people coming to challenge the gyms."

A lot more?

Xia Yan's expression was strange as he tentatively asked, "Who else...?"

"Hmm..."

Xiao Song rested her chin on her hand, thought for a moment, and then started counting on her fingers.

"Crimson from Pallet Town..."

"Red-senpai?!" Ash's eyes widened.

Xia Yan was also taken aback.

Red is here too?

What does he want to do?

A fried fish and lily of the valley competition?

But Xiaosong didn't finish her sentence, continuing:

"And, from the Johto region... Akin? Silver? Oh, right, right, and a pretty girl named Blue."

Xia Yan: "..."

He looked at the Nine-Tailed Fox.

Nine-Tails blinked its eyes and looked at Xia Yan.

"Nine-Tails, how about we... go and wait for the Hoenn Rainbow Conference?"

He's aiming for the Baby Cup, not the Masters Tournament!

"Awoo (Okay)~~"

The understanding Nine-Tailed Fox chimed in.

Chapter 116 Is this the fun of dojo battles?

Who wants to go first?

Inside the Xuefeng Dojo arena, Xiaosong looked at Xia Yan and the others on the other side with some excitement.

Few people usually come to Snowpeak City to challenge the gyms, but recently, he has been encountering challenges frequently, which has delighted Xiaosong, who loves battling.

Through her interactions with Ash at the Snow Peak Trainer Academy, Xiaosong realized that Ash was a very interesting trainer, and she was really looking forward to battling him.

As for Xia Yan...

Although in the Hoenn region, news of what happened in Sootopolis City was kept under wraps in order to maintain the stability of the Hoenn people.

But with Groudon and Kyogre's departure...

Some things can't be hidden forever.

Especially since a city as famous as Liuli City was largely destroyed, it was impossible to hide the truth. Some key details, as well as the most important process and outcome, were gradually revealed online.

after all.

Those who participated in this event should be considered heroes and should be remembered and respected.

Especially champions like Steven who are prepared to sacrifice for Hoenn, and people like Wallace who shoulder the responsibility of being a regional champion.

of course.

This also includes Xia Yan, who appeared last and forcefully turned the tide.

However, it has not yet spread to the Sinnoh region.

Or.

It is not yet widely known in the Sinnoh region.

and so.

Xia Yan, an important participant, is not yet known to Xiao Song.

Xiaosong only felt that Xia Yan must be a rather remarkable person because of Xiao Zhi's respectful attitude towards Xia Yan and his respectful address of him as "teacher".

"First come, first served," Xia Yan said with a smile.

"it is good!"

Xiao Zhi, however, showed no sign of backing down and readily agreed.

And he strode towards the battlefield.

obviously.

Ash was well-prepared for this gym challenge and had full confidence.

So Xia Yan, Xiao Guang, and Xiao Gang sat in the spectator seats.

Although it was the first time that the two of them had met Xia Yan.

However, since Xia Yan seemed to be a very easy-going person, and with Xiao Gang, who perfectly embodied the phrase "naturally friendly," it didn't feel awkward at all.

and.

Hikari would often glance at the Nine-Tailed Fox, who was sitting beside Xia Yan, quietly grooming its snow-white, lustrous fur and looking quite noble and elegant.

Seemingly noticing Hikaru's gaze, Xia Yan looked over with a smile.

This made Xiao Guang turn around a little embarrassed, his face slightly red.

"Mr. Xia Yan, this Nine-Tailed Fox... is it an Ice-type Pokémon?"

In the end, it was Xiaogang who broke the peace.

Even in the special episodes, Pokémon are not very common in the Alola region.

"Yes, Ice-type and Fairy-type Pokémon."

"Fairy type?"

Xiao Gang's eyes lit up. "Is it a Fairy-type that's immune to Dragon-type moves?"

Xia Yan nodded.

"However, the Nine-Tails is indeed very suitable for participating in the Grand Contest."

Hearing Xia Yan's words, Xiao Guang's cheeks turned even redder.

She knew that Xia Yan had seen through her intentions.

"Bo-bo-bo~~"

Hikaru's Piplup seemed to like the gentle Nine-Tails too, waving to it in greeting.

Nine-Tailed Fox smiled gently and curled it up with its soft, cool tail.

"Bo-bo!"

In an instant, Piplup slid down a slide from the tip of Kurama's tail to its back.

This elicited a burst of excitement from Bogarman.

After the two little ones made such a fuss, the already harmonious atmosphere instantly became even more comfortable.

Xiao Guang secretly breathed a sigh of relief and revealed a sweet smile.

"The battle has begun."

However, Xia Yan's words brought both of them and the elves back to reality.

Ash and Sakura's gym battle.

It is a 4v4 format, with each player having a total of four Pokémon to choose from, and only the challenger has the right to change their Pokémon.

The other side wins when all of one side's Pokémon are rendered unable to fight.

Such a number of battles is relatively rare in gym battles.

and.

Because the Snow Peak Gym is an Ice-type Gym, the battle arena is an Ice-type field.

"Sneasel!" Xiaosong sent out her first Pokémon with great confidence.

Ice-type Pokémon, Sneasel.

And Xiaozhi is also extremely tough.

"I choose you, Forest Turtle!"

"Using a Grass-type Torterra to counter an Ice-type Sneasel?" Brock rested his chin on his hand. "That's a type disadvantage."

Xia Yan chuckled and muttered, "A master of type reversal? That's really Ash's style."

"Ok?"

Xiao Guang vaguely heard Xia Yan muttering something and looked towards him.

Xia Yan simply adjusted his hat without elaborating.

Having entered the Pearl and Diamond stages, Ash has accumulated enough battle experience after participating in tournaments such as the Indigo League and the Rainbow Conference.

Although not as exaggerated as "Crimson Fighter".
