Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

"I need to think of a way to leave..." Anci clasped his hands together.

One by one, red eyes slowly emerged from the woods behind them.

Chapter 82 Absorption and Sword Dance

Rumbling--

With a slight tremor in the ground, many trees slowly moved, creating a passage.

Then, some elves that looked like big trees slowly walked out of the passage.

Rotten Wood Demon!

The scarlet eyes darted around, finally settling on the "Crystal of Life" in Casey's hand.

Because of the Sand Eater, Casey is no longer able to stop the loss of life energy in the "Life Crystal".

And this life energy is extremely attractive to elves.

This is even more true for Ghost-type Pokémon.

In the spirit world, there are few creatures other than ghosts. For them, the "life crystal" is like a guiding light in the dark.

As the four decaying wood spirits slowly approached, Xia Yan said in a deep voice, "Is there any way to seal this 'life crystal'?"

Anci clasped her hands together and shook her head. "Too much has been lost; it's no longer possible to seal it off?"

"It's lost?"

They can escape now, but that's not the point. Even if they escape the attention of these four Wood Sprites, the "Life Crystal" will still attract other Ghost-type Pokémon.

As long as the problem of the leakage of life crystals cannot be solved, it doesn't matter where you escape to.

Moreover, if this isn't resolved quickly, there might not just be these four rotten wood demons left.

If all else fails, you'll have to throw it away.

Judging from Anci's words, it seems like a waste.

But if his life was at risk, Xia Yan felt it was better to just throw it away.

Anci paused for a moment.

"A blockade is definitely not going to work, but absorption isn't impossible..."

"Absorb?" Xia Yan was taken aback.

"Let Casey try to use her superpowers to guide these volatile crystals and integrate them into her superpowers."

Xia Yan hesitated.

"Don't worry, there won't be any side effects. If there are any, they'll only be for the better. Besides, only superpowers can accelerate absorption." Anci was very certain about this.

It's a waste to throw it away, but it would be dangerous not to stop the evaporation...

"By the way, do you still have the Buddhist prayer beads I gave you last time? Give them to Casey, they'll be helpful."

Upon hearing this, Xia Yan paused for a moment, then took out the Buddhist prayer beads that An Ci had given him in exchange for the last time.

After thinking for a moment, he tossed it to Casey.

"Kexie—"

Casey sat cross-legged in the air and caught the Buddhist beads that Xia Yan threw to her. And you have to admit, her little hands looked quite convincing as she picked them up.

Sitting cross-legged, suspended in mid-air, with prayer beads—it would be even more interesting if there were a halo behind the head.

“Casey, try to see if you can absorb it,” Xia Yan said, pausing slightly before adding, “If it doesn’t work, just throw it away.”

"Kashi!"

Casey nodded, closed her eyes, and began to try.

As its superpowers were actively guided, the prayer beads on its hand emitted a faint red light, which complemented Casey's azure superpowers.

And those crystalline specks constantly evaporating from the life crystals, drawn by its superpowers, surrounded its body.

It is dissolved and absorbed little by little.

That actually works!

Xia Yan felt certain.

"careful!"

On the other side, the Wood Spirits sensed the rapid loss of their life energy and their speed suddenly increased.

Suddenly, the roots of the rotten wood demon's feet pierced the soil, and then wooden spikes shot out from the soil, heading towards Xia Yan, An Ci, and Casey.

Wooden horn!

But next second.

The bee thrust out both stingers, snapping the two branches in two with a snap.

Along with it came Anci's leek duck, whose wings swept across the ground with leeks, breaking two more wooden branches.

"Big green onion duck, sword dance."

Farfetch'd let out a low growl, and a pale red aura rose around its body, its imposing aura as it held up the leek suddenly increased.

Beedrill witnesses Farfetch'd using its swords dance.

It had previously learned the sword dance move from Farfetch'd.

I didn't fully learn it at the time, and after I went back, I spent time trying it every day.

Xia Yan also helps Beedrill try things out every day, giving constructive opinions and suggestions, sharing his insights, and helping Beedrill understand the basics of sword dance moves.

But it always fell just short by a little bit.

But just now, I saw Farfetch'd use Sword Dance again.

It seems that Beedrill's last remaining constraint on its understanding of sword dance moves has been broken.

"Hiss!"

Xia Yan sensed the change in Beedrill and his eyes lit up.

"Is it okay, Beedrill?"

The bee nodded and flicked its long stinger.

Thanks to the foundation laid over a long period of time, Beedrill has finally succeeded in making it into the top tier!

"Then let's... perform a sword dance!"

"Hiss!"

Beedrill let out a low growl.

His scarlet compound eyes gleamed, wisps of air rose up, and power surged from his body.

With a flap of its wings, its body moved like lightning.

The initial use of Sword Dance and the buff effect when Fatal Needle finishes off an enemy are similar, both increasing attack power by nearly double.

The only difference is that Fatal Strike requires a kill to be completed before it can be used, but Sword Dance does not.

This undoubtedly greatly enhances the adaptability of bee-like wasps.

Bang!

With a scissor cut, the roots of a rotten wood spirit snapped off, and its body toppled over.

Turning around, he unleashed another light, acrobatic attack on the other charging Wood Sprite. The elemental advantage, combined with the Sniper trait and the terrifying attack power boost from Sword Dance, caused the Wood Sprite to collapse and lose its ability to fight.

The green onion duck on the other side was similar.

Although Normal-type moves don't do much real damage to Ghost-type Pokémon, Anci's Farfetch'd has the ability to detect moves. Also, Farfetch'd is a Flying-type Pokémon, and Flying-type moves are type-advantageous against Woodpecker.

With one person and two Wood Sprites, Beedrill and Farfetch'd quickly took down their opponent.

Togepi, standing nearby, was starry-eyed and couldn't contain his excitement.

“Just right, okay, ee…”

Such big green onions...

Xia Yan and An Ci, who had quickly ended the battle, did not let their guard down.

These four Wood Elves are just the beginning. As long as Casey hasn't fully absorbed the Life Crystal, more and more elves will keep gathering around them.

Casey, with her eyes closed, was behaving strangely.

As the superpower continued to absorb the life energy emanating from these three "life crystals," it felt as if its superpower had come "alive."

It expands, grows, and matures autonomously...

Consequently, its strength is also increasing at a visible rate.

These "life crystals" are pure life energy, which is a good thing for any elf, which is why they attract so much attention.

While Xia Yan and An Ci were on guard, preventing any other spirits from suddenly attacking,

In the shadows of a corner not far away.

A dark figure slowly emerged.

It resembles a human figure, yet also appears to be a product formed from wisps of black mist.

The orange eyes flickered, their gaze falling on Xia Yan and the others.

Gazing at the imposing Beedrill and Farfetch'd, Casey, who was absorbing life energy with her eyes closed, and Togepi, who was stealthily approaching Farfetch'd, were filled with intense curiosity.

But despite their curiosity, they dared not approach, harboring a hint of wariness and timidity.

"Waaah—"

He tilted his head, and black mist slowly rose from beneath his feet.

No one, not even the elves, noticed its existence; not even the black mist that slowly approached like a shadow could detect it.

slowly.

The black mist came into contact with Xia Yan's shadow, which was closest to it.
