Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

Upon hearing this, the audience members all showed expressions of disappointment.

The host gave Xia Yan a grateful look.

However, before he could express his gratitude for long, he found that his hand had loosened and the microphone had been taken away by Xia Yan.

His expression turned very serious.

The heavy voice echoed throughout the venue.

"However, I need to remind everyone. The power of super evolution is immense, but since it is power, it is not entirely controllable. It carries enormous risks, and I hope that if you acquire this ability in the future, you will not attempt it lightly."

You must remember this.

power.

Power is what can be controlled.

A force that cannot be controlled is called a demon.

This is a piece of advice I want to give you all.

That's all.

He tossed the microphone back to the host and strode away into the contestants' tunnel.

Hyper-evolution does indeed pose a danger.

Having a Key Stone, a Mega Stone, and a Pokémon doesn't guarantee Mega Evolution. It also requires a very high level of bond or intimacy between the trainer and the Pokémon.

Don't be fooled by how simple Xia Yan's method is; it's because he's confident that the bond between him and the elves is strong enough to withstand such a test.

But it might not be the same with someone else.

If the affinity between the trainer and the Pokémon is not up to standard, at best the Mega Evolution will fail and the trainer will suffer huge losses, at worst the Mega Evolution will cause the Pokémon to go berserk and out of control, and even after the Mega Evolution ends, it will not be able to recover in a short time, which will cause great damage to both the Pokémon and the trainer.

Another point.

That is, Mega Evolution places a huge burden on trainers, mainly on their physical and mental well-being.

Even with Xia Yan's superpowers, he appeared weak after using both Mega Evolution and Z-Move simultaneously.

For ordinary trainers, if their physical condition is not good enough, rashly undergoing Mega Evolution may instantly drain their body, leaving them with injuries that can never be cured.

...

...

After the interview with Xia Yan.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the league's hardworking staff, the league's official website has finally been restored to operation.

"Garbage Alliance Network!"

"Mega Evolution! Dr. Xia Yan is truly amazing! After the Fairy type, he has discovered another Mega Evolution that is enough to shock the world!"

"Is this what a true genius is? excelling in both arts and sports!"

"What I want to ask now is, besides Professor Oak, which other professor can rival Professor Xia Yan in terms of groundbreaking discoveries?"

"I really want to know which Pokémon can undergo Mega Evolution! I really want to know the conditions for Mega Evolution!"

"The Super Beedrill is so cool! I love it!"

"Now, I'm saying that Xia Yantian has the strongest research ability among all the Heavenly Kings, and Dr. Xia Yan has the strongest combat strength among all the Doctors. Who agrees? Who disagrees?"

"Since Xia Yantian is called the 'Father of Fairies,' it wouldn't be too much to add the title 'Father of Super Evolution,' would it?"

"Why can't it be the 'Mother of Super Evolution'?"

"The father of super evolution! The father of super evolution!"

"As a ten-year fan of Dr. Xia Yan, I think what the person upstairs said makes a lot of sense."

"A ten-year veteran fan? Dr. Xia Yan has only been in the industry for a few years?"

"Upstairs, did you get hooked?"

"..."

The internet was in complete uproar.

Almost everyone's discussion inevitably involves the terms "Xia Yan" and "super evolution".

And it has a new title: "Soaring wildly in the trending searches until finally reaching the top."

That title is...

The father of hyper-evolution!

The most direct impact of this event was that Xia Yan's number of followers on the researcher forum rose rapidly at an alarming rate.

Not every trainer has Eevee-type or Fairy-type Pokémon, but the cool Mega Evolution—while not every Pokémon can Mega Evolve—is something that might be possible for some trainers.

And the popularity of this matter is not limited to the internet.

Almost all television news reports covered the topic of super evolution and Xia Yan.

All the newspaper headlines were about super evolution and Xia Yan.

This popularity is bound to last for a very long time.

During this period, one thing demonstrated the correctness of public opinion.

That is.

Blow Natsuhiko!

Blow hard!

As long as the hype is distinctive enough, the masses will buy it.

Of course.

Some more extreme news media outlets, in order to attract attention, deliberately spread negative opinions and began to smear Xia Yan.

They don't care whether the slander is true or not; as long as they slander someone, it will generate buzz and discussion, and they can make a fortune.

Some of these remarks were met with disdain by everyone.

For example, "Shocking! Dr. Xia Yan, the 'Father of Mega Evolution,' is actually a student of the Team Rocket leader!"

Of course, these comments were quickly drowned out by a barrage of insults.

In Enju City, the battle between Xia Yan riding Reshiram and Team Rocket's top executive Yan Xia riding Zekrom was no secret.

Is Xia Yantian a student of the leader of Team Rocket?

Pooh!

Trash haters!

For example, "Shocking! King Xia Yan actually has an inexplicable connection with a shady force like the Hunter's Guild!"

look.

Haters are just so brainless.

They dare to throw all sorts of dirty water at Xia Yan.

These are the League's Four Heavenly Kings!

However, these media outlets that smeared Xia Yan were attacked by dozens or even hundreds of other media outlets that very night. In the end, they not only failed to make any money, but also declared bankruptcy.

These media outlets that defend Xia Yan all share a common source: the Carlos region.

This once again corrected the public opinion surrounding this trending topic.

Blow Natsuhiko!

...

...

Xia Yan never paid attention to the specifics of how it was praised; at most, he would watch it for an hour or two before going to bed at night.

just now.

He was already surrounded by his "friends".

Leading the group was his top secretary, Wu Song.

That's right, it wasn't those few who crossed the river, but Wusong.

Because, in a way, Wataru and the others are also beneficiaries of super evolution.

They were too embarrassed to attack Xia Yan anymore, lest they be dragged into the mess by him.

Fortunately, though.

The savior has come.

"Xia Yan, come out."

The door to the lounge was pushed open, and standing in the doorway was none other than Xia Yan's teacher, Kikuko.

Because this incident had such a huge impact, the entire league was alarmed.

After much deliberation, the alliance still felt that it was most appropriate for Xia Yan's teacher, Ju Zi, to handle this matter.

"Hey, teacher, what brings you here? Weren't you on a mission?"

Xia Yan quickly got up from the sofa and broke free from Da Ye and Xi Ba's grasp.

to be frank.

Do we still need Da Ye to subdue Xia Yan?

Shiba alone is enough.

Everyone still respected Kikuko and didn't dare to make things difficult for Natsuhiko anymore.

They were just making a fuss; they really wouldn't do anything to Xia Yan.

After all, he's their boss; it would be troublesome if he made things difficult for them later.

Xia Yan straightened his clothes and walked to the door.

Kikuko gave him a deep look, said nothing, and turned to leave.
