Bottom-tier trainers in the Pokémon world

boom--!!

Charizard's final fire dragon strike completely engulfed Infernape.

Even though it's a Fire-type Pokémon, Infernape would definitely not be able to withstand this attack.

But it never intended to withstand this unstoppable attack.

What it wants is...

Boom—!!

A massive rock pillar, bathed in and covered in magma, rose from the ground with lightning speed, continuing to rise.

The rock pillar, covered with dark patterns resembling flowing lava, swept across the fire-breathing dragon with immense power.

The terrifying power and impact caused such pain that it overwhelmed Charizard's consciousness, causing it to fall heavily to the ground.

Incapacitated!

The rising rock pillar, however, showed no sign of stopping and crashed heavily into the defensive barrier.

What happened next surprised everyone.

It was accompanied by a crisp sound.

A gap was actually opened at the top of the defensive barrier, and the tip of the pillar of fire even broke out of the barrier.

The heat that had gathered within the barrier rose rapidly through the hole, turning into a large amount of white vapor that dissipated into the air.

Looking at the Infernape and Charizard lying on the ground, and especially at the huge, thick, rolling rock pillar that required several people to hold hands to encircle, they all gaped wide-eyed.

this......

This is the first time the barrier for the Masters tournament has been damaged.

The intense visual impact surpassed the sum of all previous battles.

The host offstage was stunned for a long time before finally reacting.

goo-dong-

The sound of swallowing was amplified by the microphone and carried throughout the entire venue.

But now no one laughs at him.

Because the host, riding a flying vehicle, was only a few meters away from that protruding rock pillar.

The heat from the sweltering heat above masked his cold sweat.

"A terrifying blow! It rendered Charizard incapable of battling—!!"

Whoosh—!

Cheers erupted.

This final collision was incredibly exciting to watch.

Meanwhile, Dan Di stared blankly at the rock pillar, his gaze falling on the fallen Infernape.

Infernape fell to Charizard's attack?

Rather, it's more accurate to say...

After unleashing that move, Infernape had exhausted all its energy and passed out.

It was already unable to fight before Charizard's attack landed.

Immediately, a thought arose in the mind of the Pill Emperor that he found somewhat absurd.

If Infernape, which has just entered the Champion level, has such strength, would Xia Yan's Beedrill really have the ability to block Charizard's final attack?

Even if the attribute is countered.

Because, before handing the weapon to Infernape, Xia Yan's Beedrill, though serious, showed no sign of panic.

The rest of the battle has actually become very simple.

In order to buy time for Charizard, Aegislash and Rhyperior ignored the opponent's attacks and forcibly delayed the battle. After Charizard, they both lost their ability to fight.

Cinderace, unable to hold on alone, also fell to Beedrill's long stinger.

"All six of Leon's Pokémon are unable to battle, therefore the winner is—Elite Four member Xia Yan!!!"

boom!!

The entire stadium erupted in cheers.

Some were given to Xia Yan, and some to the young Pill Emperor.

A thrilling match.

At the referee's signal, Xia Yan and Dan Di walked to the center of the ruins and shook hands.

"It was a very exciting match," Xia Yan said truthfully.

A look of helplessness appeared on Dan Di's face as he shook his head and said, "The difference in strength is too great."

He suspected that if Infernape hadn't used up all its strength in that final move, he would have ended up with a shaved head like Lt. Surge.

Xia Yan patted him on the shoulder.

"You are still young, the future is yours."

The future is yours...

Although Dan Di knew that Xia Yan was telling the truth, he was indeed a bit younger.

But somehow, the phrase "the future is yours" just doesn't quite feel right...

Does "future" refer to Xia Yan becoming increasingly powerful?

Seeing the awkwardness on his face, Xia Yan laughed heartily.

The two hugged and offered each other words of encouragement and praise.

He didn't say anything more.

There's plenty of time to go back.

It's more important to get back to heal the spirit right now.

Because their battles were too intense and caused too much noise.

Not only was the site completely destroyed, but even the barrier was broken.

The organizers took emergency measures, but it will probably take some time before the competition can continue.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Advice for the Pill Emperor

The battle between Xia Yan and Dan Di has ended.

The level of excitement in this match is among the best since the start of the Masters tournament.

Especially the epic clash between Charizard and Infernape at the end.

Even the carefully prepared barrier could be breached.

To know.

This barrier was specially prepared to deal with major competitions.

It's not the barrier used in ordinary competitions.

The intensity is much higher, by more than one level.

that's it.

It was still breached.

Although the organizers had made such preparations long ago.

As the competition progresses, the opponents become stronger, making it harder to stop.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have bothered to have so many staff members around the barrier, just in case.

But this is only the second round.

To be precise, the second round has only just begun.

The barrier was destroyed first.

It's even predictable that tomorrow's headlines will likely be about the barrier being breached.

The incident in Enju City has seemingly passed its peak, and the matter has subsided.

A month later, Xia Yan is going to be in the headlines again.

but.

This battle between Xia Yan and Dan Di has given many people who have been paying attention to the young king Xia Yan some ideas on his fighting style.

After reviewing the situation.

Many people have come to this conclusion.

When fighting Xia Yan, if the opponents are evenly matched or you are at a disadvantage, you must take the initiative and try to finish him off in one fell swoop.

Don't worry about taking the initiative and being countered by Xia Yan like Dan Di did.

If you worry, you've already lost.

In any case, if we don't take the initiative and get into Xia Yan's rhythm, we'll only lose.

If we seize the initiative, we might still have a chance to fight back.

Just like Dandi today.

Using his "Trick Space" ability, he gained the upper hand and immediately suppressed Xia Yan.

If it weren't for Xia Yan's "pre-reading" and the use of the Six-Tails' "snowfall" to break Dan-di's "sunny day".

After Dan Di's treatment, Xia Yan really didn't feel good.

Therefore, the Pill Emperor set an example for many people.
