Chapter 48, The Fallen Hell Beast (First Update)
Bancho DouDoumon didn't make many arrangements. Most of the members of the Bean Gate Alliance were seasoned veterans, so Bancho DouDoumon didn't need to give them individual instructions.
In addition, there were the remaining Perfect-level beings. Bancho-Mamemon knew that they had never experienced war or cooperated with the Bean Gate Alliance, and that rashly joining them would only become a burden.
Therefore, Bancho-Mamemon divided the Ultimate-level beings who volunteered to stay and help into five teams of five as special forces.
They don't need to participate in the battle directly, but they need to intercept the opponent's Ultimate-level Digimon and prevent the opponent from gaining an advantage by relying on a few strong individuals.
This arrangement was very popular with these complete individuals.
Most of them are lone wolves; their individual skills are top-notch among the fully-fledged teams, but they lack experience in teamwork.
Although they stayed behind and were willing to contribute to the fight against the Barba army, they were not without their worries about the war.
After all, that's an area they're not good at.
But when it comes to fighting alone, they are much more familiar with it.
Perhaps because they had experienced too many wars, the Bean Gate Alliance remained completely calm. Following the instructions of the leader, Beanmon, they waited for half a day. After the departing Digimon left, they immediately closed the four gates and began preparations for the impending war.
…………
"Hehehe, I didn't expect there would actually be someone so stupid as to come out on their own."
Barbamon cackled and pulled the scepter from the fallen bear cub.
"Go and take stock of the wealth. Once you've done the inventory, deposit it safely. Anyone who dares to embezzle even a little... hmph!"
Barbamon swung its scepter and gave an order to the Assault Dragonmon beside it.
He is the Demon King who symbolizes greed; all the treasures of the Digital World should belong to him! Anyone who dares to touch his treasures will face his wrath!
Assault Dragon, a main soldier in the Barbamon army, received orders and immediately stepped forward to count the valuables.
After each portion is inventoried, it is shown to Barbamon for inspection, and after Barbamon has finished reveling in it, it is taken away and sealed away.
Just as Barbamon was waiting for Assault Dragonmon to take inventory, a Sealdramon came to him, knelt down, and said:
"Your Majesty Barbamon, Lord Beelzemon has arrived."
"Oh? So the Fallen Hell Beast has finally arrived? Take me to see him."
Barbamon's eyes lit up, and he had Sealdramon lead the way.
Before leaving, Barbamon gave him one last reminder:
"Remember, all these belongings are mine. Don't touch anything you shouldn't."
The Assault Dragons all lowered their heads in response. They wouldn't, and dared not, have any designs on Barbamon's things.
No matter how small the wealth, I dare not.
Barba knew these soldiers didn't have the guts, but their greed for wealth still made him give them a few more words of advice.
Barbamon touched the valuables placed in front of him again before leaving with Sealdramon.
After walking for a short while, Barbamon spotted a Digimon dressed in leather, leaning against a giant motorcycle. This Digimon had three eyes and was idly playing with a shotgun in its hand.
This is none other than Beelzemon, one of the Seven Great Demon Lords alongside Barbamon, representing "gluttony"!
"Hehehe! Fallen Hell Beast, my friend, you've finally arrived!"
Barbamon laughed as it approached Beelzemon.
Although Beelzemon is one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, he has no interest in commanding other Digimon, always preferring to work alone and enjoy challenging strong opponents. He has no conflicts of interest with the other Demon Lords. Therefore, Barbamon is quite enthusiastic about him.
"Barbamon...you're too slow. Tell me, why did you call me here? Didn't you say you received news that Mercurymon was in trouble and wanted to raid it? Why are you stopping here and calling me here?"
Beelzemon didn't react much to Barbamon's enthusiasm. He was an aloof person by nature and didn't care much about so-called social niceties.
Barbamon was used to Beelzemon's attitude and didn't take it to heart, still smiling as it said:
"We were stuck in the Dark Realm, and our information was too limited. I only got the latest news after I came out: the Mercury Beast's problem has been resolved. The opportunity to gain an advantage is gone. If we launch a full-scale attack, it might attract the other members of the Olympian Twelve."
However, returning empty-handed is not in my nature. Fortunately, Doumen Town is nearby, and most of the five tribal chiefs are lone wolves, so I thought I'd try to make up for it here.
"Barbamon, as expected of you."
Beelzemon showed a knowing expression; this was indeed very much in line with Barbamon's personality.
"So, what do you want from me?"
"Hehehe, Beelzemon, don't you like fighting strong opponents? Don't you think... Bancho-chanmon would be a good choice?"
"Oh?"
Beelzemon narrowed its eyes, suddenly raised its beloved gun "Eggplant," and pointed it at Barbamon:
"Barbamon, do you think... I look like a fool? What does your war with Bancho-Mamemon have to do with me? You want to use me as a weapon? You're not worthy!"
"Stop! How dare you be disrespectful to His Majesty Barba Beast?!"
The Sealdramon, which had been standing there dumbfounded, shouted and pounced on Beelzemon.
Without even glancing at it, Beelzemon snatched Sealdramon back into its Digi-Egg with a single claw. Its gaze remained fixed on Barbamon.
"Don't get agitated, don't get agitated."
Barbamon completely ignored Sealdramon, who had bravely sacrificed himself for him, and even disregarded Beelzemon pointing at his shotgun. He maintained his smile and said:
Why would you think that? I was just giving you a suggestion. And I wasn't wrong, was I?
Beelzemon stared intently at Barbamon, who allowed Beelzemon to look at him, maintaining his smile.
"Hmph! This is a one-time exception!"
Beelzemon found Barbamon's smile disgusting, snorted, and mounted his beloved vehicle, Behemoth, tacitly agreeing that he would block Bancho-Mamemon.
"My army will arrive in Doumen Town in two days. I will be waiting for you then."
Barbamon maintained his disgusting smile and said.
"boom!"
With a blank expression, Beelzemon fired a shot at Barbamon's feet, retrieved his beloved gun "Eggplant," and rode away on "Behemoth."
The cold voice of the Fallen Hell Beast echoed from afar:
"Stop smiling at me, it's disgusting!"
Barbamon looked at the bullet holes in front of its feet, the fake, disgusting smile on its face disappeared, but it quickly smiled again:
"Hmph, disgusting? Let it be disgusting! As long as I can control the wealth... Hehehe!"
…………
Beelzemon rode his motorcycle away from the Barbamon army, then suddenly swerved, rode for a while longer, stopped, and shouted:
"come out."
There was complete silence all around, and no response whatsoever.
"Hmph, Igamon from Bean Gate Town, come out here right now! I have something for you to deliver to Bancho Beanmon."
"I'm getting impatient," the Fallen Hellbeast said, his hand already on the shotgun.
"What can I do for you, sir?"
An Igamon appeared silently beside Beelzemon and asked warily.
"Please pass on a message for me. Tell Bancho-chan that I will come looking for him when the war begins. Also... remember my name! Beelzemon!"
With a twist of the throttle, Behemoth roared and sped away.
Chapter 49, The Enemy at the Gates (Second Update)
"The Fallen Hellbeast...is he going to get involved too?"
Bancho-mon received Igamon's message, frowned, and pondered.
"Master, if Beelzemon comes too, then the other side will have two top-tier Ultimate level monsters! It's been two months, hasn't BanchoLeomon arrived yet?"
Over the past two months, Bancho's meticulous instruction has far exceeded the initial promise of mere guidance. Both Emu and Parad have come to regard him as their master.
The leader, Beanmon, also treated the two of them as disciples. Instead of incorporating them into the special forces, he kept them by his side so they could discuss things together.
The leader of the Beanmon clan shook his head and said:
"I sent the message a long time ago, but I don't know what BanchoLeomon is thinking. He hasn't replied yet. But there must be a reason why he hasn't come for so long, so let's not think about him for now."
"What about the other gang leaders? Can they come and help?"
“I sent them a message, but… it will take them time to get here. Even the nearest mongoose will take five days to arrive.”
"Master, aren't you going to face two top-tier ultimate forms? What are we going to do?"
Emu was getting impatient. His opponents weren't some insignificant minions, but two Demon Lords!
It's already difficult to defeat one, let alone two. How could Bancho-DouDoumon possibly win?
"What can we do? We'll deal with whatever comes our way. This time it's not too bad. I don't know how Barbamon managed to persuade Beelzemon to get involved. But Beelzemon is honest enough to tell me the news. We still have time to think of a countermeasure so we won't be caught off guard."
Bancho DouDoumon, finding amusement in his predicament, offered a word of comfort to Eimu.
"The Fallen Hell Beast, huh? Well, he's not so bad after all."
Emu has an innate affinity for Beelzemon. When watching the anime, Beelzemon's coolness earned him considerable popularity.
Unfortunately, Beelzemon in the third season was artificially accelerated by Suzakumon. Although its potential was at the level of the Seven Great Demon Lords, its actual strength probably fluctuates between a weak Ultimate and a normal Ultimate level. Even Leomon in its Champion stage could exchange a few blows with it. It completely lacked the grandeur of the Gluttony Demon Lord.
"Don't think too highly of the Fallen Hell Beast. Compared to other demon lords, he is indeed better and doesn't like to attack the weak. However, he is still a demon lord, and there are many things he doesn't care about."
Like this time, he could have waited until the war was over before coming to fight me. But he didn't. Clearly, he didn't care about the lives of the other Digimon; it didn't matter who won or lost this war. He just wanted to fight, so he came. Of course, Barbamon was definitely pulling the strings behind the scenes.
The leader, Beanmon, gave Emu a piece of advice and waved for them to leave. He needed to adjust his condition to face the battle two days later.
Even when facing two opponents, he would never admit defeat!
Emu wanted to say something more, but Paradrag pulled him aside and whispered:
"Yongmeng, stop disturbing Master. Let him calm down. Let's go out first."
Emu had no better ideas, so he nodded, bowed with Parad, and left Bancho-chan's room.
"Emu, I want to try and see if I can achieve ultimate evolution."
After leaving the room, Palad said earnestly.
