Knights of the Digital World

Seizing the opportunity, the Blazing Beast unleashed its resentment from the Dragon Slayer in its right hand, slashing its demonic blade—which had slain countless dragon beasts—at ShineGreymon. Even before touching ShineGreymon, the blade's sharpness already caused it a stinging pain.
ShineGreymon knew that after slaying numerous dragon-type Digimon, this demonic sword had gained a special attack bonus against him, a dragon-type Digimon. A single blow would likely decide the outcome of the battle.
Without the slightest hesitation, he discarded the Earth Tyrannosaurus Sword, his six pairs of wings unfurled, and surging energy waves erupted from them, propelling ShinyTyrannosaurus forward at breakneck speed, fiercely crashing into Slashmon.
"Flash Blast!!"
"Hahaha, great choice. That's the kind of fighting spirit we need! Excellent! Very energetic!"
Slashmon was very satisfied with ShineGreymon's choice and didn't hold back his praise. However, his movements didn't change at all; he only changed the angle of his attack to prevent Ryuslash from missing.
Faced with the ShinyGreymon charging in front of him, it was Slashmon's warhorse that reacted. The blade on the warhorse's head, shimmering with an aura of energy, pierced straight into ShinyGreymon's abdomen.
ShineGreymon let out a painful howl. But he was a battle-hardened warrior; despite the intense pain, he endured it, gathering a massive amount of energy in his chest and unleashing a gigantic fireball.
"Glorious Explosion!!"
ShineGreymon's willpower surprised Slashmon. He had slain countless dragons, primarily forging his beloved sword, Ryujinmaru, but his warhorse had also benefited considerably. At least for the dragons, the pain inflicted by the blade atop his warhorse's head was several times greater than that of an ordinary blade.
Despite the excruciating pain, ShineGreymon was still able to forcefully execute this powerful finishing move, something Slashmon hadn't anticipated. The scorching, high-energy fireball exploded in his chest, forcing his arms to swing away and preventing them from hitting ShineGreymon.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, ShineGreymon forcefully pulled its body off the warhorse's head, quickly retreated to its front, clutched its injured abdomen, and knelt on the ground, panting heavily.
"ShinyGreymon, how are you?"
Seeing ShineGreymon's weakened state, Dai asked loudly with concern.
"Big brother, don't worry. I can still fight! It's just that that guy... his aura hasn't changed at all!"
ShineGreymon struggled to its feet, its eyes fixed on Slashmon, filled with horror.
"Excellent, very good, I'm very satisfied! Such unwavering willpower is rare these days. You haven't disappointed me. You can now be considered a strong person!"
The surface of the Blademon was still emitting white mist caused by the high temperature, but he paid no attention to it, his aura remaining terrifyingly powerful. He nodded and praised ShineGreymon's power, then raised his beloved sword high:
"But unfortunately, I am far stronger. Come, feel my power! Break through the gates of Prison!"
With a roar, the Slashing Beast unleashed its Dragon Slash, a fierce blade of energy that transcended the barriers of time and space, appearing before ShinyGreymon's chest, ignoring all of its defenses, and slashing fiercely at its body.
"Wow!"
ShinyGreymon looked somewhat bewildered, spat out a mouthful of blood, and knelt on the ground. Its energy instantly plummeted to a low point, almost unable to maintain its Ultimate form.
“What a formidable opponent. However, I am, after all, a general of the Barba Beast Legion, so let’s end it here.”
"Zhanfa Beast," Zhanfa said calmly, raising the Dragon Slayer Maru once more.
"Aaaaaah! Get out of my way!"
Suddenly, Da leaped up, roaring angrily, and threw a full-force punch at the beast.
At that moment, Da's digital soul was fully activated, increasing his speed by an immeasurable amount. He directly passed through the Slayer Beast's defenses and delivered a powerful punch to the Slayer Beast's face.
Zhanfashou never expected Da Neng to throw such a punch. He admired Da Neng's courage in throwing the punch at him, but he didn't think Da Neng had the power to harm him.
However, the pain emanating from its face now made the Slayer Beast realize its mistake. The immense force attached to it even forced the Slayer Beast back several steps.
Da landed back on the ground, the digital soul on his fist expanding and engulfing his entire body. From a distance, it looked as if Da was burning.
"We haven't lost yet! Stop talking nonsense! It's not over yet! ShineGreymon!"
"Big brother, I'm here!"
ShineGreymon's eyes regained their light, and it struggled to its feet, walking over to Big's side.
"Can we still fight?"
"As long as my older brother is by my side, I can keep fighting!"
"Alright! Let's go! Digital Soul! Charge!! Explode!!!"
The fiery digital soul surging within the boy was channeled through the machine in his hand into the body of his steadfast companion. A blazing, radiant flame erupted from the dragon's chest, healing his wounds, and finally coalesced on the dragon's wings and tail, burning fiercely.
"ShinyGreymon - Burst Mode!!!"
"Come on, slay the beasts! The real battle is about to begin!"
Laughing loudly, he challenged the beast-slaying beast once again.
"Interesting...how interesting! You've actually changed like this? You've become even stronger. This is fantastic!"
Looking at the newly transformed dragon and the confidently laughing boy before him, the Beast Slayer couldn't help but burst into laughter as well:
"Then so be it! Let's begin our second battle!!!"
Chapter 23, Crimson Knightmon Card
"Kids, you guys can actually keep up with my speed. Not bad!"
Gallantmon flew through the air, its bright red cape fluttering in the wind generated by its high-speed movement.
"Of course! I told you, we won't fall behind!" came Emu's loud reply.
Beside Gallantmon was the massive DoruGreymon, with a pair of steel wings and a pair of white feathered wings on its back, struggling to fly. Emu and Parad were sitting on its back.
DoruGreymon alone cannot keep up with Gallantmon's speed. After all, there is a huge level difference between the two, and DoruGreymon is not a Digimon whose advantage lies in speed. It is already quite remarkable that his wings can propel his massive body into flight.
However, Emu wasn't without progress in the world of Beast Tamers. By using the cards "White Wings" and "High-Speed Component H," Emu successfully increased the speed of DoruGreymon several times over.
Parad, being a witchmon skilled in wind and water magic, eliminated wind resistance for DoruGreymon and, in turn, provided it with a boost to move forward, allowing DoruGreymon to keep up with Gallantmon's speed.
Crimson Knightmon chuckled but said nothing more. His speed hadn't reached its limit yet. If he wanted, he could easily double his current speed.
But there's no need. His current speed is the limit while ensuring that the rate of energy consumption and recovery are roughly equal. Flying at this speed for an extended period won't affect his combat effectiveness.
However, if he were to burst into flight, his energy consumption would not keep up with his recovery rate. This would significantly reduce his combat effectiveness.
Gallantmon hasn't forgotten its goal: to rescue Omegamon. A tough battle is inevitable, so maintaining its condition is crucial.
They started from the closest coastline to Omegamon that the Whalemon could reach. At their current speed, they estimated they would arrive in about an hour.
Crimson Knightmon is also adjusting its state, sensing itself and the world around it, so that it can unleash even greater power.
"Hmm? There's an energy fluctuation over there. It's very intense... This is a battle between a top-tier Ultimate level being and a powerful Ultimate level being close to that level. However, I'm not very familiar with their auras. Is that top-tier Ultimate level being one of the three generals of the Barbamon Legion? And who is the other powerful Ultimate level being?"
During flight, Gallantmon suddenly slowed down and looked toward a side perpendicular to their direction of travel.
"Granblue Knightmon, what's wrong?"
Seeing that Crimson Knightmon had slowed down, Emu asked loudly.
"There's a battle going on over there. It should be one of the three generals of the Barbamon Legion fighting against a powerful Ultimate-level monster. I'm wondering if I should go and help."
Gallantmon was conflicted. Logically, as a holy knight protecting the Digital World, the three generals of Barbamon's army, who were jeopardizing its security, were his absolute enemies. The Digimon currently fighting one of the three generals was someone he should be protecting.
Normally, Gallantmon wouldn't even need to think; it would fight for justice without hesitation. However, the seriously injured Omegamon and the weak Digimon it protects are waiting for Gallantmon's help.
The battle is taking place quite a distance from where they are now. Going to their aid would waste an unknown amount of time. Whether Omegamon can hold out until then is also uncertain.
If Omegamon can't hold on, Gallantmon will lose its best friend, as well as the lives of many other Digimon.
From both an emotional and quantitative perspective, Gallantmon should abandon this unknown Digimon and choose to support Omegamon.
but--
"But I still can't just stand by and watch others die!"
At that moment, Crimson Knightmon made a decision. He didn't know if he would regret it later, but he knew that if he didn't do it, he would regret it now!
"Wait a minute, Gallantmon!"
Emu quickly called out to Gallantmon. He could tell from Gallantmon's actions what he was thinking:
"You want to help that Ultimate-level being, right? Leave it to us. Omegamon is waiting for your support."
Gallantmon looked at Emu seriously and said, "Kid, this is no joke. The one on the other side is a top-tier Ultimate level! You should know the power at our level. Do you think you can stop him, or even repel him? Now is not the time to show off!"
Emu nodded in understanding; he certainly knew how powerful a top-tier Ultimate level being was. He had even experienced power beyond that level before.
It's a pity his main account was accidentally banned by Tsukasa Kadoya, and it won't be unbanned for over a month. Otherwise, with his level 100 Ex-Aid, he could have easily swept through the enemy ranks.
However, Emu had his own reasons for daring to make such a suggestion to Crimson Knightmon.
Parad had already approached the level of a top-tier ultimate form several months ago. Although she had been living a rather laid-back life since then, spending her days watching TV dramas with Emu, her strength was still slowly improving.
Currently, Parad is only a hair's breadth away from reaching the ultimate level. Perhaps, he can break through after a full-force battle.
According to Gallantmon, the Digimon currently battling one of the Three Generals is also a powerful being nearing the level of a Supreme Ultimate. With Parad's power, their chances of holding off a Supreme Ultimate are quite high.
Even if they are no match for each other, the combined strength of two near-ultimate level beings should at least allow them to escape.
Therefore, Emu nodded vigorously and said, "Trust me, Gallantmon. We can handle this. Isn't the very reason we're working with you to deal with situations like this? Go on, Omegamon is waiting for you!"
Gallantmon fell silent. He carefully scanned DoruGreymon, Paradox, and Emu, finally reaching out and patting him on the shoulder, saying in a deep voice:
"Since you've put it that way, then I only have one answer... I'm leaving that Digimon to you!"
“Of course. My dream is to protect everyone’s smiles. Leave everything to us!” Emu said with a smile.
Crimson Knightmon fell silent. He recalled his beast, nodded to Emu, and continued on his way.
He didn't turn back, and Emu could only see his receding figure and the red cloak fluttering in the air.
This is Crimson Knightmon, a holy knight who will steadfastly carry out its decisions once made.
On the other side, DoruGreymon had also changed direction and was flying towards the location of the battle, as indicated by Gallantmon.
In front of Emu, a card gradually appeared, depicting the handsome figure of Gallantmon.
"This is... Gallantmon's Digicard! Does it acknowledge me?"
Emu grabbed the card and examined it with surprise before placing it in its card case for safekeeping.
This gave him even more confidence.
However, this might be Parad's chance to break through. Although Emu obtained Gallantmon's Digicard and his strength returned to the top-tier Ultimate level, he wouldn't intervene unless the unlikely scenario occurred where Parad and that Digimon, even working together, couldn't defeat one of the Three Generals or even escape.
This is a trial for Palad!
Thinking of this, Emu smiled and looked at Parad beside her: "Are you ready, Parad?"
Parad smiled confidently: "Of course, Emu. DoruGreymon is still watching, and as the leader, I can't let him look down on me."
"Hahaha, alright, let's bring it on! Let's have our first battle since we reunited!"
