Two rows of vampire servants stood on either side of the coffin.
With a smile on his face, Faith Deacon slowly walked over, holding a glass container filled with blood. "Great Vampire King, your descendant has prepared the blood of the last virgin for you."
"very good!"
A mental fluctuation emanated from the coffin.
My descendants!
You are unlike those sons of bitches; your loyalty is as clear as day. Once the seal is broken, I will bestow upon you more blood, allowing you to evolve into a superior vampire, second only to me in rank.
A high-ranking vampire?
Is your status second only to mine?
Don't be ridiculous. You stupid old fool who has been sealed away by your servant for centuries, what right do you have to be above me?
A fool should be aware of his foolishness; weirdness becomes my strength; I will become the king of vampires.
Firth Dickon was disdainful in his heart, but outwardly he was respectful and courteous, as if he were truly loyal to Dracula.
"Great vampire king, I will now break your seal."
As he spoke, he opened the vessel and slowly poured it down onto the coffin.
Crimson blood flowed along the grain of the coffin, seemingly drawn towards the pages of the Bible.
"Buzz!"
The pages of the Bible shone with a faint light, keeping the blood out.
But the faint light flickered and went out after only a few breaths, just like a broken light bulb.
Blood flowed into the pages of the scripture, erasing the words one by one until the entire page was soaked in blood and turned into a paste-like substance.
Time seemed to stand still.
Everyone felt the air seem to freeze for a moment, and then a bewitching, eerie red light burst forth from the coffin, radiating a terrifying aura that made the air tremble.
The vampire servants on both sides looked horrified and involuntarily knelt down on one knee before the coffin.
The same goes for Firth Dickin.
He was shocked by Dracula's power, yet excited about soon acquiring it, and no longer bothered to pretend.
However, this was the time when Dracula was born.
His excitement could also be interpreted as his joy at the return of the Vampire King to the world.
"Crack!"
The coffin trembled, then shattered by an immense force, releasing crimson magic that swirled like a tornado, reflecting in the sky and staining the moon red.
A moment later, a tremendous suction force emanated from the center of the tornado, gradually drawing in the crimson magic.
Ultimately, public opinion calmed down.
Where the coffin once stood, stood that figure that terrified the world…
He appeared to be around forty or fifty years old, with a handsome face and a neatly combed head of white hair. He wore scarlet armor, had scarlet skin, and held a scarlet greatsword in both hands, just like a noble lord on the front lines of war.
He is Dracula.
"How many years have passed..."
Dracula looked out the window at the blood moon in the sky, his face filled with reminiscence. "Without the glory of the Holy Church, without the musty smell of rotting wood, fresh air, the blood of virgins... this joy of rebirth is simply wonderful."
"The Great Vampire King!"
Fies Dickon approached Dracula from behind and respectfully said, "Welcome back to the human world."
"Ok!"
Dracula glanced at him out of the corner of his eye and nodded slightly. "You have broken my seal, and you have done a great service."
Tell me, what reward do you want?
Whatever you desire, I will grant it—Face Dickin, my faithful servant!
"I don't need any reward."
Firth Dickon humbly said, "Everything I have done is for the vampire race. Without your leadership, the vampire race has declined, not only being driven out of their homeland, but also living in the shadow of humans in foreign lands."
Dracula did not answer.
He calmly gazed at the scenery outside, his expression silent, leaving one unable to discern his thoughts.
Firth Dickin, having received no answer for a long time, was surprised and looked up.
But then came Dracula's belated response.
He sighed softly, "...There are too few vampires like you who care about their race. If you lived in my time, perhaps you would have become my most capable subordinate, and perhaps everything would have been different."
"It's not too late now, Your Majesty!"
Faith Deacon bowed slightly, speaking to the emperor like a subject, "Now that you have returned to the mortal realm, with your power you will surely be able to destroy the sun, plunge the world into eternal darkness, and lead our vampire race to once again become the world's overlord!"
"To become the hegemon again...?"
Dracula muttered to himself, then changed the subject, saying, "Since you don't want a reward, let's settle some old scores!"
"I'll comply rather than refuse, my apology..."
Halfway through the conversation, Firth Dickon realized what was happening and stared at Dracula in astonishment.
"You dripped your own blood into the blood of the 777 virgins who were unsealed, casting a blood-linking spell..." Dracula was still looking outside, but his words made Faith Deacon break out in a cold sweat and fill him with fear.
Blood Link is a high-level spell from the vampire magic clan that allows the caster to link to the mind of the target and enslave them.
Dracula is sealed by the power of the Holy Church, and only the blood of virgins imbued with impure energy can break the seal. On the path to breaking the seal, he will inevitably absorb the blood of these young girls, thus falling under its spell.
This is why Firth Dickon was confident he could replace Dracula.
The reason he didn't control Dracula from the beginning and drain all of his life force was because vampires have limited digestive capacity and cannot absorb too much at once.
Given Dracula's size, it would take him at least a century to fully digest him.
But he was being hunted by the Avengers and had no time to process what was happening.
He planned to remain behind the scenes, letting Dracula lead the charge, eliminate the Avengers, and then slowly drain Dracula dry.
But now, his little tricks have been exposed by the other party, how can he not be afraid?
"You're a very ambitious guy..."
Dracula paid no attention to Fies Dickon's reaction, nor did he even turn to look at him, and continued calmly, "Having ambition is not a bad thing, but having ambition and being a fool is the worst thing ever."
"The magic of the vampire race all originated from me. You actually dared to try and control me with my magic; how utterly foolish!"
"me……"
Firth Dickin was completely panicked.
The magic was activated, ready to unleash the blood link to enslave Dracula, but there was no response.
Furthermore, he lost control of his body.
"That's so stupid, so stupid I can't even bear to look at it, Faith Deacon!"
Dracula sighed deeply, as if stating a fact rather than deliberately belittling his enemy.
"After I exposed the conspiracy, you still harbored illusions? Do you think I'm a fool like you?"
His tone grew increasingly agitated, and his last sentence was almost a shout. With that, he swung his sword backhand, slamming Faith Dickon against the opposite wall, where he was deeply embedded.
Then she continued, "You've received my blood, do you really think you can hide anything from me?"
"No, it's impossible!"
Faith Dickon stared wide-eyed, saying in disbelief, "Although I have accepted your blood, I have not been transformed into your servant. You cannot possibly hear my thoughts."
"Ugh!"
Dracula sighed deeply again, seemingly speechless at having such a foolish descendant, before kindly explaining, "It's not just the master-servant relationship of the Night Clan that can hear thoughts; magic can too. The blood I left in your body can serve as a catalyst for magic."
"This……"
"You wanted to defy my rule, fine, but you shouldn't have done that you broke the seal!"
"what?!"
Firth Dickin stared wide-eyed, his mind reeling.
He didn't know if he was experiencing auditory hallucinations because of his own crisis, or if this Dracula was simply not normal.
"The master-servant relationship among the Night Clan is absolute; the master knows everything the servant is thinking. And a vampire king like me, even when I'm asleep, is fully aware of their thoughts. How could I possibly be sealed away by my servants while I'm asleep?"
"Then, then what is this...?"
“This seal is real, but I am merely an avatar.” Dracula turned back to look at the scenery outside and sighed, “Vampires have never been the dominant species; humans have always been the dominant species on Earth. Even in my time, I was just barely managing to compete with the surrounding human nations, leading my people.”
Human lifespan is short, yet development is rapid.
We, the Night Clan, have remained stagnant, gradually being surpassed by humans.
I realized then that if I didn't do something, I would one day be wiped out by humanity.
"So you devised this fake sealing plan?!"
Firth Dickon spoke first, saying what Dracula was about to say.
"Yes."
Dracula nodded slightly. "Our Night Clan is physically strong, far superior to that of ordinary humans... Most of our people share this mindset, looking down on humans, and this hasn't changed even after several defeats."
In reality, however, humanity's power is already sufficient to wipe out all Night Clan members except for me.
They haven't made a move only because they're afraid of me.
So I made a deal with them.
"My sealing away and the integration of the Night Clan into human society, obeying human rules and respecting humans, are in exchange for the Night Clan's right to survive."
"No, this can't be!?"
Firth Dickin's eyes were bloodshot; he couldn't accept it.
"You are so powerful that if you lead us, humanity will be no match for us. You are afraid; you are a coward!"
