“He’s really strong, but…” Baina pulled out her RPG and aimed it at Stiyl, who was falling from the sky. “No matter what, you couldn’t possibly not go and save him, could you?”

As the rocket shot out, trailing white smoke, this time it pierced straight through the enemy, turning Stiyl in mid-air into a dissipating afterimage. Baina wasn't surprised; she tossed aside the launcher and quickly retreated.

It was a mirage, yet it could be used under those circumstances... Did it use a rune card? Bai Aina immediately guessed what had happened.

As a precocious genius magician, Stiyl naturally knew how to use the phenomenon caused by the expansion of air due to heating, which changes the refractive index of light, to make his figure disappear as if melting into the air.

Just as Baina was about to continue her actions, a strong sense of unease arose in her mind, and all sorts of random thoughts flooded her mind, such as "Let's go home for dinner," "Let's watch the Young Girls' Opera," and "Let's offer our congratulations on the birth of the new king."

Was it some idler who chased them away? This guy's pretty good! Bai Aina slapped her forehead hard, swatting all these jumbled thoughts out of her mind.

"But that's all!" Having caught Stiyl's attention with her Observation Haki, Beaune focused her senses on him, locking onto him. Then, she pointed her index finger at him, orange light gathering at her fingertip. "Spirit...Sword!"

The repulsive force field transformed into a huge sword blade as thick as a water bucket, shooting out and shattering everything in its path, leaving countless spiderweb-like patterns on the cement ground.

Chapter Nineteen: Changing Battlefields

"Whoosh!" Numerous rune cards flew through the air as Stiyl, facing the spirit sword strike from Beaune, attempted to summon the Witch-hunting King to block the attack. However, the Sage of the Far East acted before him, his unsheathed katana sweeping out horizontally, shattering the bucket-thick golden blade with a home run-like motion.

Not even 20% left... Upon seeing this scene, Bai Aina was certain that she had no chance of defeating her opponent. That last sword strike was her strongest effort at this stage, but it was shattered before her opponent could even draw his sword.

While I could achieve that level in my prime, fighting her in my current state wouldn't be a good idea... Bai Aina was very aware of the power of her previous spirit sword strike. Although she couldn't repeat it, it wouldn't cripple her with a single blow. However, such an attack was completely meaningless to her, so conventional methods were out of the question...

“Stiyl, leave the negotiations with her to me.” Kanzaki stopped Stiyl from launching an attack, then looked at Beaina and said loudly. “Are you an Ability User from Academy City? If so, please state your name and the reason for your fight.”

"An esper? No." Not intending to lie in this situation, Bai Ai Na said very frankly and generously. "Kaori Kanzaki, I just want to fight you, it has nothing to do with Academy City."

"Besides, why send students to the battlefield? Ability users aren't great heroes or combat experts. Isn't it a mistake to have them fight magicians one-on-one?"

Kanzaki was completely baffled by Aina's coded language, but then she remembered how Aina had led Index into the izakaya earlier...

Could the other party be a member of some newly established magic society? Kanzaki's expression turned somewhat cold as she thought this, but she also felt that it didn't seem likely.

"Anyway, please don't misunderstand so much. I just want to fight you," Bai Aina explained, then brought up Index's matter. "That child's food expenses aren't a small amount, are they? But I still readily treated her to a meal, which shows I'm a good person. Is it alright if you grant me a small request?"

"..." Completely unable to comprehend Bai Aina's thought process, Kanzaki was momentarily speechless. She had originally thought that the other party could see the gap between them, but she hadn't expected the other party to be so persistent.

“Of course, my statement here isn't just a request, but rather a description of my thoughts.” Taking out the Valkyrie card, Baina softly recited, “Link initiated! (Li,nk start!)”

"!" At that moment, Kanzaki clearly sensed something different. What surged from the card in Bai Aina's hand was pure 'angelic power'. A massive amount of energy surged out and quickly enveloped her body.

The so-called 'angelic power' does not refer to the 'power of angels,' but is a term from the mystical world, metaphorically meaning energy within a phase. It refers to obtaining a certain degree of power from something that truly exists through the principle of idolatry.

Using 'angelic power' was not an easy task at first. It wasn't until the greatest magician of the 20th century developed a simplified spell that everyone could use that the application of 'angelic power' gradually became widespread in the magical world.

So the other party really is a mage? This type of spell, is it a spirit summoning spell? It doesn't seem like it... Kanzaki leaned forward, her command sword ready to be drawn at any moment.

"It feels different, unlike the first time I used the Kars Card." A surge of blue energy, pulsating with starlight, enveloped Baina, the azure surrounding her rapidly transforming into armor that clung to her changing form. Her originally petite body was forcibly elongated, growing to a towering 175cm.

Thick, rainbow-colored full-body armor covered the girl's entire body, and a silver laurel crown adorned her head. Long, rainbow-like veils flowed from her back, battle skirt, and shoulders. In the girl's right hand, leaping lightning appeared, which then, under her control, quickly transformed and solidified into a two-meter-long single-handed spear.

In Norse mythology, Valkyries are the guides who lead fallen warriors to Valhalla. They typically travel between heaven and earth in the form of aurora borealis and fight wielding spears formed from lightning.

"This is... a Valkyrie?" Kanzaki recognized the girl's current state at a glance. She had obviously used a spirit summoning spell to merge herself with the legendary Valkyrie, thereby gaining extremely strong combat power.

“That’s right, but not an intern. You might encounter a Valkyrie in the future, but she won’t be stronger than this one.” Bai Aina could feel something pulsating inside her storage card, so she took it out.

This is… a three-star Gungnir fragment? Considering her current situation, Baina felt she had a certain affinity for Norse mythology. And what's even more interesting… this Valkyrie card seems to resonate with the Gungnir fragment.

“No, it should be more than that…” After turning the card into a physical object, Baina held the fragments of Gungnir in her hand, looking thoughtful.

Immediately afterwards, the fragment, which was neither gold nor iron, neither wood nor stone, merged directly into her palm. To this, Bai Aina simply shook her hand.

"..." Kanzaki, who was in the distance, was wondering if she had been waiting too long, but was it a bad idea to rush up and interrupt others now?

"Sorry to keep you waiting, welcome back." After greeting Kanzaki, Bai'na brandished her lightning spear and looked at Stiyl, who was still watching. "Are you really not letting him leave? What if a fight breaks out..."

“I’m afraid he’ll just die like this. After all, you should know very well that now the two of us… are at least evenly matched in combat.”

Kanzaki hesitated for a moment, her expression turning strange. Seeing this, Stiyl realized the current situation was beyond his control. He tossed a communication card to Kanzaki and then retreated into the distance.

"What exactly is the reason you want to fight me?" Kanzaki really couldn't understand why Baina insisted on fighting her.

“Of course, it’s because if I don’t fight, I can’t survive.” Feeling the arcs of electricity dancing at her fingertips, Bai Aina tentatively controlled the power she could use. “And, I also intend to… try everything I have right now.”

Chapter Twenty: The Laws of Victory

With her five fingers clenched into a fist, covered by armor, Bai Ai Na, advancing at supersonic speed, tore through the air, creating a conspicuous sonic boom cloud that spread outwards. The iron fist, traveling at a speed exceeding 900 m/s, directly slammed into Kanzaki's cross-protected arms.

Like a cannonball, Kanzaki crashed into the supporting columns of several buildings before slamming her scabbard into the ground, forcibly stopping her body.

"So strong, this power..." Although she was sent flying dozens of meters, Kanzaki knew this was not a safe distance. With their physical strength and speed, such a short distance would be crossed in less than a tenth of a second. She immediately lowered her body and gripped the hilt of her sword tightly with her right hand.

Seven Flashes! The attack unleashed by the seven steel wires at this moment was so fast that it was beyond the scale that seven steel wires could possibly display. The countless threads covered the area around Kanzaki, forming protective layers that shielded her in the center.

"Lightning Strike, Spear!" A dazzling burst of lightning erupted from the spear in Bai Aina's right hand, striking out as soon as Kanzaki set up the protective barrier. The dazzling lightning dragon flew out of her hand, and the hundreds-of-meters-long lightning spear burned everything in its path. The divine lightning, with its temperature contained and compressed, melted the walls and steel bars completely.

However, Kanzaki, who faced the lightning spear head-on, was unharmed. Relying on the temporary barrier of forbidden silk, she successfully blocked this incredibly powerful attack.

That was a lightning strike...? I can't fight her here! Even though the surrounding streets were deserted due to the crowds being dispersed, Kanzaki still subconsciously felt that she shouldn't fight here, after all, there were many public facilities here.

Although she could have used a more reliable technique to deal with such a lightning strike, Kanzaki decided to change the battlefield to avoid restricting her movements. While she doesn't kill and has a remarkably good temper, that doesn't mean she'll allow herself to be put in a disadvantageous position.

"Should we move the battlefield?" Bai Aina glanced around. That attack had blasted through the entire first floor of a row of buildings. If they continued fighting in this area, they might just blast all the surrounding buildings to pieces.

"..." Kanzaki opened her mouth, but for a moment she didn't know what to say. In her opinion, Bai Ai Na's thought process was just too bizarre. She would inexplicably start a fight, but then very considerately move the battlefield to avoid causing damage.

"Let's go to District 21 then. There's a mountainous area there." Bai Aina didn't plan to continue fighting here, as continuing would attract attention. She wasn't one to cause trouble for others, and if she went all out now... the cleanup afterwards would be a real headache for Alesta.

The 21st School District is located in Academy City's water source area. It is renowned for its research on water resources and flora and fauna, and is also widely known for its astronomical research. Relatively speaking, its population is significantly smaller than other areas.

“Okay.” Kanzaki could also see that the other party clearly wanted to fight her, and wouldn’t give up so easily if she didn’t satisfy Bai Ai Na.

"Actually, I feel a little sorry. After all, it's not something I like to do to force someone to fight against their will..." If it were a villain, it wouldn't matter, but if it were someone like Kanzaki, Bai Ai Na would feel a little guilty.

"..." Kanzaki, who couldn't understand the other's thought process at all, couldn't help but roll her eyes, but she still obediently followed behind Bai Ai Na.

The two, moving at supersonic speed, quickly came to a stop near the 21st school district. Knife and gun clashed, their chilling auras clashing. To fall behind in this exchange would put them at a disadvantage.

Although their physical abilities were very close, she was still far inferior to Kanzaki-san in other aspects. Bai Ai Na controlled the lightning in her hand, shaping the leaping arcs of electricity into the form of a long spear.

"—" Seven Days Seven Blades were drawn with a swift movement. With a crisp clang, the long blades traced a conspicuous arc as Kanzaki swung them directly at Bai Ai Na's waist and abdomen. The speed and timing of this sword-drawing slash were quite skillful. The moment the opponent gripped the lightning spear, the blade was already aimed at her vitals.

"That's really ruthless!" With the sharpness of the Seven Days Seven Cuts, even if this cut can't cut Bai Aina in half at the waist, it can still open a gash in her vital area.

However, the armor that Bai Ai Na was wearing was no ordinary item. She pushed her knee up and pressed her right elbow down, accurately catching the slashing blade with her knee and elbow amidst a screeching sound.

Without the protection of her armor, a direct parry like that by Beaune would have severed her elbows and knees. But with the armor protecting her, the attack couldn't harm her at all, especially at this distance...

"Ooooooo!" The lightning spear held in Bai'na's other hand plunged directly into her fist, and with a loud cry, it blasted towards Kanzaki. The dazzling divine lightning was like an iron nail that hit the inside of her body.

"!" Kanzaki's body tensed abruptly. It was incredibly lucky that she hadn't died instantly from such a direct attack. A terrifying and horrifying electric current raged through her body, and every nerve seemed to be only capable of transmitting pain, causing her pupils to contract in agony.

The violent lightning instantly evaporated the surrounding lake, creating a pervasive cloud of water vapor. This dense water vapor, however, acted as a conductive medium, carrying electric current that, under Baina's manipulation, continuously influenced Kanzaki.

"Hahhhh!" With a mighty tug, Kanzaki forcefully pulled the Seven Days Seven Blades free from Aina's grasp. Then, with her other hand, she manipulated the steel wires, the intertwined wires piercing the ground and channeling the electricity into it.

Like dozens of Claymore landmines exploding, the ground beneath their feet shattered instantly, sending dust flying.

"It can even channel electricity into the ground? How convenient..." Bai Ai Na looked at the seven steel wires that pierced the ground like conductors. Kanzaki had recovered from the pain caused by the powerful electric shock. The lightning spear that had struck her at close range had not caused her much damage, only great pain.

"Ha...ha..." Kanzaki immediately spread out the steel wires to form a tight barrier, protecting himself and trying to buy himself a chance to catch his breath.

"Therefore, the law of victory lies in... giving you no chance to breathe!"

Chapter Twenty-One: The Army of Heroes

Besides her excellent physical attributes, Aurora Armor, and Thunder Spear, Beaune's Valkyrie character card possesses other skills. In mythology, Valkyries are the guides of heroes; they lead fallen warriors to Valhalla, where they engage in endless battles, awaiting Ragnarok.

In contrast, the ability derived from this point is that those killed by Valkyries are materialized and become puppets obeying the Valkyries. This inhuman ability is also known as the Legion of the Dead, or Heroic Spirits.

The shadow beneath her feet grew longer and diagonal under the light, then seemed to come alive and stand upright. Bai Aina's shadow became clearer, tinged with other colors, transforming into a black-haired girl in a white robe.

Holding a dark blue longsword and exuding a chilling aura, Bai Qin appeared behind Bai Aina. She unleashed the "Surprising Glance" from the Six Arts of Arrogance, and the incredibly cold ice blade energy transformed into a giant ice blade that slashed down heavily.

Compared to the combat power that Baiqin had previously displayed, she was much stronger this time as a heroic spirit warrior wielding her sword. This time, her chilling glance was enough to easily freeze an artificial lake into a block of ice.

"Is this... a Valkyrie's technique?" Although she had never actually fought a Valkyrie, Kanzaki quickly deduced the prototype of this ability based on related legends. The opponent must be summoning slain people as Heroic Spirits to be used as combat power.

"Kagumi-no-Mikoto!" She easily uttered the name of the fire god in Japanese mythology, and a dazzling blue light ignited on the Seven Days Seven Swords. The flame-like light enveloped Kanzaki, and as she lowered her body, the sword in her right hand once again drew a beautiful arc.

A burst of flame erupted, and a terrifying wave of heat instantly spread outwards, melting away the chilling icy blade energy that had been caught in the glimpse. The water vapor surrounding Bai Ai Na and Kanzaki was completely dispersed, and the terrifyingly high temperature instantly swept through the surrounding area.

Now! Seizing the moment before Kanzaki could react after her attack, and before she could defend, Beaina's right hand, advancing towards the flames, once again blazed with dazzling lightning. But this time, it was more than that; the lightning slid down her shoulders and the outside of her arms, piling up at her elbows.

"I'll charge with my rifle!" The armor on her elbow snapped back against the back of her hand, and before Kanzaki could react, a heavy blow, like a pile driver, slammed into her abdomen. The powerful impact sent a spasm through her stomach.

After being sent flying, Kanzaki crashed into a mound and quickly came to a stop, trying to stand up. But Beaina caught up again, her shadow swaying in the wind and rapidly changing into other forms.

The metal armor gleamed under the light, and long, silver-white hair danced in the wind as a girl with cross-shaped pupils appeared behind Bai Aina.

"Dark Light Finger!" A finger enveloped in jet-black light was thrust out, aimed directly at Kanzaki's head. The latter hooked his right hand, manipulating seven steel wires to form a tight protective barrier around himself. The ground beneath his feet shattered under the impact, creating a dome-shaped storm that spread upwards.

"Seven Flashes!" Having barely regained the initiative in the battle, Kanzaki manipulated seven steel wires to tear through the air. The destructive power of the metal wires at this moment was like seven cutting lasers. All the dust in the air was pushed aside, and the cutting storm that shredded everything quickly expanded towards the direction of Baina.

Summoning all the lightning in her palm, watching the power of the lightning, surpassing even that of a real lightning strike, bloom within her hand, Bai Aina gripped it tightly. The massive bolt of lightning quickly contracted, transforming into a spear less than three meters long.

As a heroic warrior, Mu Xishuang tugged at the collar under her armor, loosening its tightness around her neck, and then parted her cherry lips slightly.

"AzathothAzathothAzathothAzathothAzathothAzathoth!" The true name of the God of Chaos exploded here, and the voice of the Foolish Demon instantly exploded in the mind of the God of Chaos. Even the saint who could read the original text was affected by this attack. His mind stopped on the spot, and the dancing steel wire was forced to stop.

"It ends here!" Bai Aina was well aware of the power of the Foolish Demonic Sound. Even Steve, who had condensed his martial arts intent, was forcibly turned into an idiot under its influence. Her Thunder Spear was equivalent to the power of ten Thunderstrike Spears, all concentrated on a single point. Therefore, this strike would break through the forbidden silk barrier and become the decisive attack.

Speaking of which... let's go eat barbecue after this fight. We have no choice but to do that, since that shot... Kanzaki Kaori is probably going to be seriously injured. With that thought, Bai Aina gripped her gun in reverse, and the spear tip, formed entirely of lightning, aimed straight at her opponent's heart.

"Om Maha Yaksha, Jila Sata, Ruo Hum Hum Phra Vaishya Hum!" Just before the thunderous spear was about to pierce him, the saint Kanzaki barely managed to recover from the influence of the demonic sound and almost subconsciously recited this Sanskrit mantra.

This mantra is the Vajra Yaksha Mantra, originally the Buddha's words to cure illness and eliminate disaster. At this moment, it saved the saint who was about to be defeated. Golden light bloomed in her mind, dispelling the deluded voice belonging to the external gods, and restoring her mind to clarity.

"It's too late!" Bai Aina thrust out her Thunder Spear with her right hand. There was no sound of tearing the air, but it made Kanzaki feel that her life was in danger.

"!" Instantly releasing the restrictions of her Holy Mark and entering 'Godslayer' mode, Kanzaki possessed power beyond the realm of mortals. In terms of speed, she even entered the realm of gods, equivalent to LV6 'Comprehending the will of gods with a non-god's body'. With the lightning spear already pressed against her chest, she flicked her fingers, forcibly controlling seven steel wires to overlap at this moment, blocking the tip of the lightning spear.

"!" Clearly sensing that her opponent's condition was different, Bai Aina immediately retreated, while simultaneously swinging her Thunder Spear forward in a backhand motion, attempting to force her opponent back.

But even faster than Beaina's Thunder Spear was Kanzaki's Command Blade, which unleashed a sword-drawing slash at a speed exceeding one-hundredth of a second, its sharp blade aimed directly at the opponent's vital chest and abdomen.

Completely unable to react or defend, Bai Aina, who was retreating, made a hasty counterattack. The Thunder Spear in her hand was cleaved in two, and a clear gap appeared on the armor on her chest and abdomen. The cleaved part was directly reduced to particles and disintegrated.

It's a bit difficult to write this... I guess I overestimated myself.
