"Should we let him join us? After all, his robotic arm isn't just any ordinary technology; it could be used as an excavator." Nightwing was well aware that the other man was still under the effects of the Mirakuru serum, and his temper wasn't exactly mild. In normal life, if they got into an argument, the robotic arm could probably tear someone to shreds.
While the Miraculous serum is incredibly effective, it also has its drawbacks, namely amplifying the user's negative emotions. This is why Batman and his crew didn't use it to heal their spines.
"Bruce? What are you thinking about?" Seeing that Bruce hadn't answered, Dick couldn't help but ask. Bruce seemed to snap out of his reverie and turned his gaze to him. "Did that girl's words really affect you that much?"
"No...no...I was just thinking about something." Shaking his head, Batman didn't speak. He maneuvered his wheelchair to a computer desk and began searching for information. Soon, in a folder several meters long, he found a video.
"Hey, Clark, is this all the power you've got? If so, you'll be blasted to pieces right here!" The man who spoke had incredibly long, flamboyant white hair and blood-red battle markings on his forehead. In the blurry remote camera footage, the man was surrounded by dazzling light, and an incomparably domineering magnetic field force enveloped his body.
"That's not necessarily true. I wasn't originally planning to use such a move. But you're too strong, so I'll show you the technique I learned from Apollo, the sun god." Superman, who was sent flying several kilometers by a single punch, wasn't injured. He merely stretched his limbs, and then a dazzling golden light erupted from his body, so bright it was as if a second sun had appeared on the earth's surface. "Your name is Bai Jinglang, right? Don't die from this move!"
"Boasting! Watch me crush your confidence to dust!"
Immediately afterwards, only static appeared in the remote camera feed, leaving Bruce and Dick sitting at their computer desks deep in thought.
Without disturbing Bruce's thoughts any further, Dick knew he must have figured something out, otherwise he wouldn't have pulled up the video. He could only shrug and remotely control his wheelchair into the Batcave's main hall.
Edward was sitting nervously in a chair, looking around curiously but not daring to look too far.
"Hi, hello." Dick greeted Edward first, then stopped his wheelchair in front of him. "Don't be so nervous. We won't use a flashing stick to erase your memory. After all... your current condition is difficult for us to handle."
The mechanical arm was relatively easy to deal with, but the effects of the Mirakuru serum were almost irreversible. Dick was well aware of this, which was why he proposed leading Edward down the path of a superhero. Moreover, after investigation, Edward's character wasn't exactly bad, and when Bane attacked Wayne Tower, he not only voluntarily evacuated unrelated personnel.
And when Bruce was betrayed, she bravely stood up and protected him.
“Um… I want to know something.” Edward took a deep breath, looking at Dick in front of him and mustering his courage to ask. “You’re Batman? You look so young…”

I made it... Because I missed the extra chapter, I'll be posting two chapters today.
Chapter Forty-Four: The Demon King
"Your body is starting to feel sluggish, your cell activity is declining, and your organs are failing at different stages. I told you not to use it in the first place, why didn't you listen?"
"I'm sorry... because I felt it was a situation where I couldn't back down, so I believed that even if it meant death... I had to win."
"It's a pity you didn't win. But never mind, you're not allowed to use this until you go back. I still have a way to deal with this level of situation."
Taking off her rubber gloves, Baina yawned, opened the operating room door, and beckoned Jason and Deathstroke to come outside.
Several doctors then came out, and several nurses pushed a patient who had been taken off the operating table back into the ward.
“Listen, her physical condition is very bad right now, but I have a solution. I need to ask first… you two shouldn’t mind if I go after Lars El Gur, right? Of course, just a token inquiry.” Baina leaned against the wall, considering the likelihood of killing her.
Deathstroke nodded indifferently, or rather, he was eager to try it. In this world, he had been Lars's prized student in his early years, but later made a name for himself elsewhere. However, he didn't mind killing his teacher.
Jason merely frowned, then said, "I don't mind if you go after him, but I have one condition, unless you agree..."
"Don't worry, I won't kill Talia." Waving her hand impatiently, Baina muttered under her breath. "I know you're having an affair with her, and I won't say much... but she's still yours... uh..."
Bai Aina was somewhat frantic, not knowing how to describe it, while Jason just smiled shamelessly, acting like a dead pig that wasn't afraid of boiling water, which earned him a roll of his eyes.
"I really wonder what Batman would think of you if he knew about this."
“You can go talk to him.” Jason simply raised his hand slightly, giving off an “whatever you want to say” look, which only made Bai Aina lose interest.
"Alright, you two get ready. This kid will provide manpower and weapons; just let him know if you need anything." Bai Aina gestured to Deathstroke, then pointed at Jason, ignoring his bitter expression, and continued, "In short, I only need the battle plan; the rest is up to you two."
"Tch." Jason left first, followed by Deathstroke. Baina shrugged and looked at her palm.
Actually, she could try replacing one of the original cells with a cell from a perfect organism... Bai Aina knew that this was feasible, but if she did, the original cell might very well suffer a mental breakdown because it couldn't withstand such a cell replacement.
The cells of a perfect organism are not some benevolent panacea. On the contrary, they are extremely violent and aggressive, possessing an extremely strong assimilative ability. If one cannot endure the pain of having their body eroded, they might suffer a complete mental breakdown.
If she hadn't already been injected with Mirakuru serum, she probably would have died from having her life force drained before even reaching her limit. Even so, her current condition isn't exactly good, and Bai Aina can't say much about it.
She was there at the time, but didn't choose to stop it. She had no reason to stop Yitiao's actions; at most, she could offer some hindsight advice to teach her a lesson, reminding her that you can't always risk your life.
So... that leaves Lazarus. If it's not overused, one should be enough to last. Baina walked towards the ward, her thoughts drifting back to the body tissue she'd obtained from Bain.
Strengthening muscle fibers, increasing muscle compression, and increasing bone density? No wonder he could unleash such immense power, and even his agility didn't decrease. I remember someone in the TV show who used this could even go toe-to-toe with Superboy, right? Using her perfect biomimetic ability, Baina successfully solved the mystery of Bane's short-term power boost and couldn't help but laugh.
"Isn't this amazing? It's so great, my fingers are trembling with excitement. I can't wait to see you rise to power again and crush you once more!"
She quickly covered her mouth, suppressing her excited laughter, her dilated pupils suddenly contracting. Forcing herself to calm down, Bai Aina held her forehead, but the sound of unbridled excitement still escaped her lips.
On the border between Nepal and China lies a majestic, snow-capped mountain. On a man-made platform, hundreds of assassins clad in black are undergoing training. This is the headquarters of the Assassin's Guild, the lair of the demon lord, Lars El Gur.
Lars gained a degree of immortality after immersing himself in Lazarus Pool, surviving for a long time. He then founded the League of Assassins, proclaimed himself the Master of Ninjas, and began recruiting assassins and martial arts experts worldwide, training them to be loyal servants to him. The organization's sole goal was to exterminate all of humanity and establish the world he envisioned. Unfortunately, he was repeatedly defeated by his son-in-law, Batman, so he simply decided to keep fighting with him and frequently went to Gotham City for leisure.
This ancient monster, who has lived for hundreds of years, has accumulated vast wealth and manpower; this single base alone boasts a guard of over a hundred people. However, in the world of American comics, numbers are mostly for show, at least in this case…
A mercenary squad of dozens, along with a team consisting of Deathstroke and Jason, easily infiltrated the base. Furthermore, due to Lars's own circumstances, the assassins rarely used modern firearms, and were thus slaughtered by a group of sharpshooters.
But soon, a steady stream of guards armed with firearms poured out. However, before they could even open fire and engage in combat, the mercenary squads, having received the signal, quickly withdrew, leaving behind only corpses and spent bullet casings.
"Wait. Something's not right." Having lived for hundreds of years, Lars remained calm in the face of this scene. He glanced at the corpses and ordered his guards, "Examine the bodies carefully, see if there's anything..."
Lars's instincts, honed through countless brushes with death, allowed him to shift his body to the side with lightning speed. Immediately afterward, a 14.5mm armor-piercing sniper bullet grazed his chest. The bullet, propelled by gunpowder, was incredibly fast; merely grazing his chest, it blasted away most of the Demon Leader's chest on the spot.
Immediately following, the second shot, which deviated from its trajectory, blasted a guard to pieces, turning him into a bloody mess. The bullet, carrying terrifying kinetic energy, did not stop there, continuing its flight and piercing through the wall behind him.
Blood, flesh, and broken bones rained down from the sky, and only then did all the guards react, hurriedly supporting the half-dead Lars and retreating.
Dozens of meters away from the mountain peak, the deadly shooter, carrying a sniper rifle, wiped his scope. Although the environment was harsh, aiming was extremely difficult, and correcting the trajectory was very troublesome, it was not something he couldn't do.
"He succeeded on the first try? That's really impressive." Bai Aina couldn't help but sigh cautiously. She had sent the mercenary squad down to slaughter the vegetables just to lure Lars out. Then she planned to have Death Shooter give him a sneak shot and kill him, but unexpectedly, he hadn't died.
Thankfully, it wasn't Talia who came up, otherwise I would have been in a bit of a predicament. Putting down her binoculars, Baina took out her phone and called Jason.
"I don't need to tell you what to do next, right? Leave no one alive except those you want to save."
Seeing that Bai Aina had put the phone away, Death Shooter frowned and asked, "What if there are innocent people, elderly people, or children inside?"
“I’m here to kill and wipe out entire families, not to do charity. I don’t have time to argue. Besides, even if I said I was going to wipe them out, Jason might not actually do it,” Bai Aina replied nonchalantly. “If someone isn’t so easy to kill, they definitely won’t die that easily, believe me.”
Chapter 45 I Am Your Father
Unlike the ragtag group of Assassin Brotherhood soldiers, Damian, as the future leader of the Assassin Brotherhood, took out his weapons and equipment from his bedroom, put them on, and rushed out first when faced with the sudden attack of the mercenary squad.
Damian's excellent qualities, inherited from his parents, were on full display. The boy, dressed in black and wielding a katana, moved along the wall and quickly approached a five-man mercenary squad. As mercenaries hired by Deathstroke, their skills were naturally excellent; wielding M4A1 rifles, their arms did not tremble at all due to recoil.
The bullets fired in bursts struck the guards in the cave. Before they could even get close with their melee weapons, the powerful destructive force of the modern weapons tore their bodies apart.
Instead of rushing forward in anger and recklessness because of the guard's death, Damian frowned, suppressed his anger, fumbled at his waist, took out several smoke bombs, held them in his palm, and threw them in the direction of the mercenaries.
Gray smoke spread rapidly as the smoke grenade exploded. The mercenary squad members reacted quickly, having encountered similar situations in previous battles. They reminded each other, "Be careful, turn on your infrared night vision goggles."
The situation in their field of vision changed abruptly, but before the five members of the mercenary squad could even begin to survey their surroundings, a small, slender figure descended from the ceiling, wielding a katana that slashed out before the five could react.
Even amidst the billowing smoke, a conspicuously thin silver line could be seen, followed by a gushing fountain of red blood. Damian, wearing a mask, disdainfully flicked his katana. Even a bulletproof vest couldn't protect vital organs like the neck; he had just killed him with a single blow aimed at the neck.
Seeing the five men lying on the ground, Damian hooked a rifle with his foot, put on one of the infrared night vision goggles, and was about to turn and leave.
"Heh, looks like I'm in luck." Damian immediately jumped back and turned around; the smoke had cleared. Standing at the end of the road was a man wearing a red helmet and a brown jacket, who pointed at Damian with his unarmed left hand and chuckled. "Kids shouldn't carry these dangerous things; it's easy for them to accidentally go off. Listen to me, give me a gun—".
"If I were you, I wouldn't let my guard down. This is a matter of battlefield discipline; didn't your father teach you that?" Damian responded with a sneer, unaware that the person before him was his brother. Even if he had known—Damian wouldn't have been friendly. He raised his rifle, pointed it at Jason, and fired.
Although he acted very decisively, firing before Jason could finish speaking, Damian's mediocre marksmanship was far too inexperienced against this seasoned sharpshooter.
"You really are an impulsive kid. I don't know how you resemble him." Facing Damian, a rookie who couldn't even conceal the direction of his shot, Jason, who had read the trajectory in advance, simply turned his body slightly to avoid the rifle bullet.
With a flick of his wrist, Jason fired two shots in quick succession without even aiming, the bullets striking the rifle barrel directly.
The rifle flew out of his hand immediately. Damian, who had instinctively gripped his katana, hadn't even gotten into a fighting stance when the third bullet struck his katana directly.
Even his last weapon flew from his hand, and Damian's expression beneath the mask was far from pleasant. Jason merely smiled at this; in his eyes, while Damian was prepared to kill, he was still just an immature brat.
"Bang." Another shot hit Damian right at his feet as he was slowly moving away. Jason looked at his brother with amusement.
His face immediately darkened; the man before him was a formidable enemy he had never encountered before. Even the castle's elite guards were no match for him. Damian lowered his body slightly, prepared to fight to the death. Just as he was about to do so…
“Enough, Jason.” A familiar female voice rang out, and Damian immediately recognized it as his mother’s voice. Then, a beautiful, dark-haired young woman dressed in night clothes walked out from the side. She looked at Jason with displeasure, but then breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Damian.
"Mother, who is he? What happened in the castle? Why are you here?" Damian asked three questions in a row, looking at Jason and Talia with extreme nervousness, while quietly moving closer to his mother.
“Jason is your brother, he’s here… to save us. Come with us, Damian, there’s no hope here. We need to move to our branch in America.” Talia hesitated, lowering her head, the fleshy growth under her bangs slightly swollen. Talia told a white lie, but Damian clearly didn’t accept it.
"Mother! What nonsense are you talking about! Grandpa is still waiting for us to rescue him!" Damian was completely taken aback by Talia's words. After a moment of hesitation, he returned to his original position and looked at the two people in front of him warily.
Jason frowned; he was reluctant to waste his time on this. Just as he was about to try to persuade him, the bud on his forehead suddenly contracted.
Under the interference of the granulation tissue, Jason was surprised to lose control of his body. He tried to move his stiff fingers, but could not move them at all, yet his throat could not stop him from uttering shocking words that were not his intention.
"Come on, you never knew, did you, Damian?" Jason's attitude abruptly changed, and before Damian could react, he sneered, uttering words that infuriated the other man. "I used to sleep with Talia, in other words..."
"I am your father, Damian!"
Although Damian had never heard his mother mention who his father was, he could clearly sense the unspoken meaning in Jason's words. His mother, standing nearby, showed a conflicted expression, and finally broke down in tears.
"!!!" Damian was instantly enraged, his blood rushing to his head, and he almost lost his mind in an instant. He pushed his hands forward, and two darts landed directly in his hands.
"Lady! Here I come!" Just as Damian was about to drive a dart into Jason's forehead, a cheerful female voice suddenly rang out. Immediately afterward, a sudden pricking sensation appeared in his lower back, and the intense numbness made him instantly fall into a deep sleep.
Bai Aina, who walked over with a grin, greeted Jason, whose face was ashen. Seemingly oblivious to his grim expression, she even made a face and said, "That's really good. Don't worry about worldly opinions. In that regard, I'm very..."
"Bang bang bang bang bang bang!" Jason, his face ashen, had emptied his pistol and was about to pick up the rifle on the ground to fire when he discovered that Baina had disappeared from the spot, and that the round of shooting had only hit empty air.
Chapter 46 Oh my god, what a super hardcore beautiful girl!
It was nothing more than a humiliating defeat for the underdog. With the enemy caught off guard and the disparity in strength between the two sides, Batman's cheap father-in-law was quickly captured alive from Lazarus's Lair. Then, the poor 'Demon King' was brutally dismembered, and various simple and easy methods to prevent his resurrection, such as burning, sealing with cement, and burying him in the ground, were all used.
As for Jason's mistress, Baina really had no intention of killing her. After all, killing her might very well provoke Batman... or so she thought. Given her personality, she would most likely just hold a grudge. However, as a boss who cared about her subordinates, she could simply turn a blind eye to such things.
The main focus now is, of course, enjoying the hot springs! Of course, before that, Baina needs to take care of some necessary matters at the base, as well as deal with a certain little rascal.
"A deep, cold pool—that's how it should be described, right, according to the teacher?" She gently dipped her toes into the pool, feeling the temperature. Recalling the idiom Bai Aina had taught her, she wrapped a towel around herself to avoid exposing herself.
The pool beneath her fair, jade-like feet was a vibrant emerald green, and despite being in a dark cave, it emitted a faint glow, allowing one to clearly see everything around them even without artificial light.
I carefully lowered my legs into the pool. Judging from the sensation on my feet, the water temperature was not low, but rather a perfect temperature for soaking.
Slowly sliding down the edge of the Lhasa pool, her whole body immersed in the emerald green water, she felt exhausted. The weariness from her soul made her involuntarily close her eyes.
It felt like returning to my hometown; the warmth was intoxicating. Every cell let out a comfortable groan, and every pore opened wide, as if hoping to absorb more nutrients from the pool. The pool's fluorescence was absorbed by the darkness, and my eyes were completely dim, but I felt no fear. Instead, I was immersed in this darkness.
As if this were his true home, his soul sank into the deepest part of his heart, and the abyss he had once fallen into seemed to reappear before his eyes.
But after that warmth came excruciating pain; every inch of skin felt like it was being torn apart. The pool water was scalding hot, as if it were boiling. After just a short soak, one almost wanted to jump out of it immediately.
Perhaps it would be difficult for a normal person to endure such pain, but at least she was someone who would become a hero in the future. Her father's teachings welled up in her heart, and this belief gave her the courage and motivation to persevere, preventing her from jumping out of the pool immediately.
