"He was attacked and fell unconscious. He has now been taken to the hospital."

"..."

Bang's eyebrows twitched slightly.

Surprised, but not so surprised.

Bang had already figured it out earlier: the one who fought Suiryu to a standstill at the martial arts tournament was his own disciple, Garou.

All of Garou's kung fu skills were taught to him by Bang.

How could Garou possibly hide in front of Bang? It's just that Bang didn't bother with Garou.

'but……'

'That Hungry Wolf guy is getting more and more reckless.'

'The target should be KING, not this martial arts tournament.'

Bang glanced silently at King not far away.

You know your own apprentice best.

Hungry Wolf has decided to challenge King.

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Mr. King, please show mercy!

Where is the werewolf player now?

"It's at the nearest hospital."

The staff member quickly replied.

"I'll head over there right now."

Bang immediately spoke, turning to look at the other heroes.

"Let me handle this matter personally."

"In that case, I'll be going now. I came here later than planned, and I need to get ready for my concert."

Sweet Mask said that he is the busiest person in the entire Hero Association, as he is both a hero and an idol.

"This kind of thing can be handled casually; there's no need for me to get involved. I have other weirdos to deal with!"

Tornado said from the side.

"Silver Fang, wouldn't it be better to leave this kind of thing to lower-level heroes?"

Atomic Samurai asked, somewhat puzzled.

For S-class heroes, the most important task is to deal with monsters and high-profile criminals who may cause damage to the city and threaten the safety of human society.

The matter of the werewolf player being impersonated is a trivial matter in comparison. There is no evidence to suggest that this matter is related to monsters or wanted criminals, so Tornado and the other heroes do not intend to get involved.

They didn't know why Bangu was so upset about it.

After hearing what the other heroes said, Bang nodded. He also wanted to handle the matter concerning Garou personally.

"Well, maybe I can help."

King is a person who hates trouble and wanted to refuse the task, but when he thought about how much Bang had helped him and felt that Bang took this matter very seriously, he decided to go to the hospital with Bang to investigate the matter.

"Thank you so much, Mr. King!"

Bang turned to look at King, hesitated for a moment, and although he didn't want the other heroes involved, he nodded after considering that Garou's target might be King.

"Then let's set off quickly."

......

King and Bang were quickly led by staff to the hospital where the werewolf player was staying.

Throughout the journey, King was curious as to why Bang was so concerned about this matter.

While it is indeed quite egregious for a martial arts tournament to have a competitor impersonated, these incidents have no direct connection to the freak or criminal organization, yet Bang seems slightly anxious.

However, King didn't ask about it along the way, since it was the other person's private matter.

"We've arrived."

King and Bang entered the ward and saw a strange man lying on the bed. It was obvious that he was the real werewolf player.

"Doctor, how is he?"

Bangu turned to the medical staff beside him and asked.

"It's nothing serious, just minor injuries. He's already awake now."

"Okay, thank you so much."

After hearing the doctor's answer, Bang quickly walked to the werewolf player's side.

"You must be the werewolf player."

"Ah."

The man lying on the bed answered with some difficulty. He had just recovered from being unconscious and did not look to be in very good condition, but there were no obvious external injuries. It seemed that the attacker simply wanted to knock him out in order to qualify for the competition.

However, King reached out and gently rubbed his chin, lost in thought.

If this guy attacked the real werewolf and impersonated him to participate in the competition, why did he choose to give up in the final round?

This is somewhat illogical.

What were his reasons for choosing to participate in the competition? And what were his reasons for giving up?

Do you remember what the attacker looked like?

Bangu asked.

"I only remember him having silver-white hair... and a somewhat strange hairstyle..."

Upon hearing the werewolf's words, Bang's expression grew increasingly serious. He immediately took out his phone, pulled up a picture, and presented it to the other person:

Is this the person?

"Yes, that's him!"

Upon seeing the person in the photo, the werewolf immediately responded excitedly, as if the pain he had suffered just hours earlier was resurfacing.

Bang's expression grew increasingly grim, because the picture he had just shown was of his former top disciple, Garou.

Although Bang had already guessed Garou's identity, he still felt a mix of emotions after confirming it for the 100% time.

"What's wrong, Mr. Bang?"

King noticed the change in Bang's expression and asked with some confusion.

“Mr. King, do you remember I mentioned to you before that I had a good-for-nothing apprentice…”

Bang said with a hint of helplessness, his tone filled with a sense of disappointment, as he handed the phone to King, deciding to tell him the truth. After all, King was one of the people Bang trusted most now.

“His name is Hungry Wolf. He once injured all my other disciples... That’s why my dojo only has one disciple, Chalanzi.”

"He disappeared for so many years, but I never expected him to reappear now."

"Ah."

King remembered the wolf's appearance; its tall, upright white hair was truly distinctive.

"But since he participated, why did he choose to withdraw?"

"Perhaps he was afraid I would recognize him from his boxing style."

Bang guessed,

"But Garou isn't someone who gives up easily; he must have other motives..."

"For example, challenging a strong opponent..."

"As the strongest, King, you will likely become his target."

"Oh, I see. So if I run into him, I'll take care of him."

King said calmly and handed the phone back to Bang.

"No, no, no..."

Bang quickly said that what he was most worried about was not King, but whether Garou could survive if he really went to fight King one-on-one.

Garou had absolutely no idea just how terrifying King's true strength was:

“Mr. King, if you encounter him, please show mercy and let me personally educate this good-for-nothing apprentice. It is my duty as a teacher.”

Regardless of what Garou had done, he was once Bang's beloved disciple, and Bang didn't want Garou to die directly at King's hands.

"And please, Mr. King, don't tell the Hero Association about this."

"Oh, I see."

King said slowly.

“If I meet him, I will bring him to you, Mr. Bang.”

Chapter Thirty-Eight: Hunting Heroes, The Wolf's Attack

"Thank you so much."

Bang looked at King with a hint of gratitude in his eyes, but in his heart he was still praying.

Hopefully, Garou won't be so reckless as to cause trouble for King.

The King's power is so terrifying that even Bang could only glimpse a fraction of it.

......

After exchanging a few more brief words, King bid farewell to Bang and left the hospital.

King had already started his journey home. He glanced down at his watch; it was 12:30 PM.

Although he had promised Bang that he would capture Garou alive if they encountered him, King didn't think he could actually be of any real help.

After all, the world is so big and the population is so large, the probability of bumping into a complete stranger is like finding a needle in a haystack.
