Are all human agility-type Soul Masters this strong?
Gu Yuena fell into deep thought.
Zhou Yi arrived relatively late and only observed from a distance. She had no idea about the details of the battle between the two. Strength and weakness were determined by comparison. Su Ming's appearance with only superficial injuries made it seem like the battle was between ordinary low-level Soul Masters.
"Alright, let's leave it at that. If you keep firing me like this, you'll have to clean up this mess and pay compensation as well," Zhou Yi said, looking around at the broken glass doors and windows with a headache.
Su Ming's expression changed upon hearing this. Fighting might be fun for a moment, but cleaning up would be a nightmare. The doors and windows of most of the classrooms on the first and second floors were probably shattered by the storm.
What's even more terrifying is that some walls are broken, and the rubble is very difficult to handle. Cleaning it all up would be a nightmare!
Zhou Yi looked at the dilapidated classroom in front of her and felt a headache coming on. How could she hold a class meeting in such a place?
Meanwhile, the classes on the first and second floors also felt that the mess of glass on the floor was unpleasant, and had no choice but to apply to the school to move all their classrooms.
In no time, Su Ming and his companion became famous throughout the outer academy right after the start of the semester. Everyone knew that two formidable new students had arrived. They got into a fight on their very first day of school. At only eleven years old, they were already three-ring Soul Masters. The aftershocks of their battle even reached the entire teaching building. And their conspicuous second Soul Ring of a thousand years was terrifying!
It is said that the two, one male and one female, are both perfect in appearance and look like a perfect match when they stand together. For a time, they were regarded as the Shrek Twin Stars by most of the freshmen.
After all the back and forth, it was already past ten o'clock. Zhou Yi strode onto the podium in the new classroom, looking energetic and not at all like a woman in her sixties.
The old woman's gaze swept calmly from left to right, and instantly everyone felt as if they were being watched by her, an invisible pressure appearing in their hearts.
She spoke, her voice steady and her words clear:
"Time is running out, so I'll get straight to the point. First of all, my name is Zhou Yi, and I'm your homeroom teacher. I'm not sure how many of you will be able to stay with me for the next year. But I want to tell you that in my class, no trash will pass the assessment. I'm going to cultivate monsters, and Shrek Academy also wants monsters. All junk will only be eliminated in my hands."
Upon hearing this, most of the students lowered their heads, inwardly groaning. It seemed that this homeroom teacher was a strict person, and they were in for a tough time.
"Secondly, we won't have a class meeting. I'll skip all that pointless stuff and get straight to the lesson. Except for the two students who got into a fight at the beginning of the semester, all of you, run a hundred laps!"
Zhou Yi spoke sternly, her sharp eyes sweeping over the students around her.
The students below immediately erupted in an uproar. They had to undergo physical training right after the start of the semester, and they hadn't even had time to get used to campus life. How was this any different from the devilish teachers who assigned homework on the first day of school in their previous lives?
"Teacher, why exclude those two who were fighting?" someone couldn't help but raise an objection.
"Those who lack courage and dare not cause trouble are all trash in my eyes. The competition begins the moment you become a Soul Master. You fight against others, against Soul Beasts, and against Heaven and Earth. Don't you understand yet?"
"The path of a Soul Master is one of taking from those who have little and giving to those who have more. Now, immediately, go and run one hundred laps. You are not allowed to eat until you finish. The last thirty will get ten more laps!"
Zhou Yi reprimanded him with an imposing air, and with her six spirit rings—two yellow, two purple, and two black—no one dared to disobey her.
The students hesitated for a moment, then gradually walked out of the classroom to prepare for the run. Under the encouragement of some well-behaved children, everyone gradually regained their energy and actually began to race ahead.
"So, during their school years, the traitor was a good kid?" Su Ming couldn't help but complain. If all the students didn't want to, this woman simply couldn't do anything about it.
"You two, go clean the whole building, then come back and run a hundred laps. You can eat whenever you finish today," Zhou Yi said, turning her gaze away from the distance and staring at the two of them.
The black-haired boy pursed his lips, put his hands behind his head, and walked away, with Gu Yuena following behind him, equally expressionless.
As he walked along the road, Su Ming curiously stole glances at the stunning silver-haired girl beside him. He didn't know much about the Legend of the Dragon King, but he acknowledged the Silver Dragon King's strength.
With just that elemental manipulation, she completely crushed him. Poor Su Ming had spent three years painstakingly researching soul arts, and only a few of them were truly effective. Gu Yuena, on the other hand, had several release techniques for just one element. It's unimaginable how astonishing Gu Yuena's combat power would be if all seven elements were combined.
Su Ming's eyes burned with desire as he thought about it. Such a talent was fit to join the Soul Master Alliance. He was a born magician, and his fighting style was different from that of the natives of Douluo Continent.
Unable to bear the undisguised gaze of the black-haired boy, Gu Yuena said coldly, "Stay away from me, or I'll gouge your eyes out!"
Su Ming frowned and explained, "I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. I'm just happy to have met a worthy opponent."
The silver-haired girl walked silently without saying a word.
"What is your martial soul? I feel it's not simple," Su Ming asked curiously.
“Elementalist,” Gu Yuena said succinctly.
“No, your strength is the strongest I’ve ever seen. Your martial spirit is more than that.” Su Ming shook his head and said.
"Hmph? And what about you? What agility-type Soul Master has such strong physical attributes?" Gu Yuena retorted with a cold laugh.
"Then it seems we all have secrets," Su Ming said meaningfully, as if hinting at something.
"Stop talking, clean up." Gu Yuena avoided the topic, bent down, took a broom from the storage room, and threw it to Su Ming.
The black-haired boy held it firmly, and looking at the wide corridor of the teaching building covered with a layer of broken glass and shards, he said weakly, "How long will it take to clean all this?"
Upon hearing this, Gu Yuena looked at the mess on the ground and felt that it would be difficult to clean up. After thinking for a moment, she suddenly came up with a solution.
"Hey! You there, bring over a few big trash cans," the silver-haired girl shouted.
“First, I’m not called ‘Hey,’ and second, please call me Su Ming.” The boy raised his index finger and shook his head.
But seeing Gu Yuena's expression as if he were an idiot, Su Ming sheepishly ran to get the trash can, muttering, "Young people these days don't understand jokes."
A moment later, the black-haired boy pushed a garbage cart that was a head taller than him over.
A seven-colored crown appeared behind Gu Yuena, with seven colors flowing around it, finally settling on a sky-blue color like the heavens.
A brilliant blue light shone brightly, and suddenly a breeze arose, with wisps of air drifting between the first and second floors of the teaching building, connecting with each other through the various ventilation openings.
Soon the wind grew stronger and stronger, so strong that Su Ming couldn't open his eyes.
Large swaths of dust were blown up and quickly merged into the airflow, instantly creating a gray-black airflow around the teaching building. Under Gu Yuena's skillful control, all of it was swallowed up by the large garbage truck and quickly covered with a thick layer of dust.
Su Ming was amazed by this amazing skill. Damn, this guy is a cleaning pro!
Chapter Forty-Six: Opponent
The storm did not stop; instead, it intensified.
Waaah!
Gu Yuena took a deep breath, and her first spirit ring lit up. Instantly, the rubble on the ground was blown away, flying into the air and then floating along the corridor with the airflow, gathering together and falling into the garbage truck.
About ten minutes later, Gu Yuena's fair and delicate face was covered with fine sweat, her cheeks were flushed, and she was panting heavily.
The gale suddenly stopped, but it would take two or three more attempts to clear the rubble from the ground. She leaned against the side to rest, her eyes filled with helplessness as she looked at Su Ming, as if he were a good-for-nothing.
Su Ming's lips twitched as he said, "You take a break, and we'll take turns."
The young man stepped forward without hesitation; he couldn't let a girl look down on him.
Su Ming had a pair of jet-black wings spread out behind him, covered with bluish-purple dragon scales, among which dark magic patterns intertwined to form an exquisite and demonic design.
The moment the Thunder Dragon Emperor Wings appeared, a turquoise and purple storm raged around Su Ming. He raised his hand, and the turquoise and purple dragon wings on his back fluttered slightly. Countless streams of violent air surged out from the center of the boy, and the turquoise and black air formed a huge eye of wind, which made the boy's figure indistinct.
Unlike Gu Yuena's method, where dragons follow the clouds and tigers follow the wind, Su Ming's vast wind element is purely transformed from soul power and is based on his own will, while the girl manipulates the wind element that already exists in nature.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages, making it a choice between power and cost-effectiveness.
The bluish-black aura swept outwards, rapidly expanding like an ink painting, flowing through various narrow passages. From the outside, the entire teaching building appeared vaguely blurred, surrounded and swirling by streams of bluish-black aura, resembling robust bluish-black dragons coiling and winding.
Inside the teaching building, Su Ming was like a black hole, frantically tearing apart the larger pieces of gravel from all directions, crushing them into dust, and sending them all into the garbage truck with the airflow.
In the howling wind, Gu Yuena's three thousand long, smooth black hair fluttered in the wind as she looked at the young man who had shown off his skills in surprise. However, when her gaze fell on the pair of sky-covering blue-purple dragon scales, a cold glint appeared in her beautiful eyes, and a murderous intent was hidden deep within them.
"So you killed the Thunder Dragon! I will avenge this sooner or later!" Gu Yuena recognized the origin of this external soul bone. She kept reminding herself that this was Shrek Academy, the human stronghold. She took a deep breath to suppress the urge to act immediately and thought fiercely.
Su Ming looked at the silver-haired beauty with a smug expression and said, "How about it? My skill is no worse than yours, is it?" He was not worried at all about his secret being exposed. He also knew Gu Yuena's secret, and even the deeper secret of her identity as the Dragon King.
"Fine, very well," Gu Yuena said through gritted teeth.
The black-haired boy was completely bewildered. Suddenly, it occurred to him, "Damn it, could it be that the Thunder Dragon King's soul bone has been exposed? Didn't the evil god's blood within him assimilate it? How can I still sense it?"
Su Ming couldn't help but have second thoughts. What if she hardened her heart and climbed over the wall into the dormitory in the middle of the night to assassinate him?
Their already lukewarm relationship instantly deteriorated, plunging them into the abyss.
She simply left without saying anything.
"Oh, I was hoping to exchange some soul technique experiences, but now that's ruined." Su Ming said regretfully, but he didn't care at all. On the contrary, he was happy to have another enemy. Only by fighting with the belief of killing him could he find endless joy.
As for experience such as elemental mastery, he could easily learn it by stealing it in battle, or even defeat her and turn her into a [Servant of the Evil God].
Su Ming's mind was clear. In his eyes, women fell into only two categories: his sister and strangers. Moreover, those not of his kind were bound to have different hearts! Gu Yuena, in this life, hadn't lost her memory and gained an additional personality, Na'er. Trying to influence the Soul Beast Lord with love was no longer an option.
The two returned to the playground, where the students hadn't even finished half of their task.
Zhou Yi looked surprised, but didn't say anything. She pointed to the playground and said, "Very good, you finished so quickly. If you start running now, you should still be able to make it in time for lunch."
Su Ming pursed his lips, knowing he was guilty of fighting and damaging public property at the start of the school year, so he obediently followed along for a run.
One hundred laps were a piece of cake for the two of them. They easily caught up with the main group and even overtook them to take a commanding lead. After finishing the race, neither of them broke a sweat and went to the canteen for lunch.
Seeing this, Zhou Yi seemed thoughtful and muttered to herself, "It seems I underestimated these two."
Recalling their information, she memorized their scores of level 34 and 35 respectively at age 11, and made her decision.
I need to practice more!
Seeing many students stop and stare longingly at the departing figures of the two, Zhou Yi snapped out of her daze and scolded, "What are you all standing there for? You're not allowed to eat until you finish the run! I mean what I say!"
The remaining students were startled and immediately ran away.
In this life, Huo Yuhao's performance was decent. Half a month of boxing training caused his physical fitness to expand rapidly, making him at least a normal person, so he didn't work himself to death.
The afternoon session consisted of theoretical classes, starting with the traditional Soul Master's Martial Soul class.
As soon as Su Ming entered the classroom, he sensed the oppressive atmosphere, and a quick glance around revealed the reason.
Several seats were empty, which, unsurprisingly, meant that Zhou Yi had dismissed them for slacking off and not running a few laps. He understood that it was simply a means to establish his authority.
A moment later, Zhou Yi strode to the podium, looked at the crowd below and said, "The first thing is that our class needs a class monitor. I won't hold any elections; I'll just appoint someone directly."
"Gu Yuena?" she asked, looking at the stunningly beautiful girl.
"Yes," Gu Yuena quickly stood up and said.
"I'm appointing you as class monitor now. How do you think you can handle the job?" Zhou Yi asked decisively.
"I can do it, teacher." Gu Yuena's body trembled, and she agreed with delight, thinking that this was a good start, and then she would slowly gain the trust of Shrek Academy and find the weaknesses of humans.
"Does anyone have any opinions?" Zhou Yi looked around, seemingly asking, but her words actually conveyed an unquestionable tone.
"No objections."
The students in Class 1 answered listlessly.
Su Ming felt frustrated. To be honest, he really disliked this kind of authoritarian education. He preferred teachers like Teacher Luo, who were witty, humorous, and truly knowledgeable.
"Alright, let's get straight to class now." Zhou Yi's approach was indeed efficient, saving everyone from those complicated and tedious tasks.
"In the first lesson, we must first gain a deep understanding of martial spirits and recognize them. Don't take it lightly. To be realistic, if you don't even know what your opponent's martial spirit is, the probability of failure is extremely high."
"Failure as a Soul Master means death. No matter how talented you are, you have no future!"
