A Young Woman's Heart

Time really flies. We've been sending and receiving letters back and forth. If we only sent one letter after receiving the other, we would each only receive about six letters a year. That is, it takes about a month for me to send you a letter and another month for you to send it back.
When will mail delivery speed be faster?
However, perhaps it is precisely because of the slow delivery speed that people feel a sense of time passing after opening the letter?
What ink is used to write letters in the dim light?
When I opened it last time, I smelled a faint fruity fragrance. Do you even sell such novel ink in your country?
When I write letters, I like to use a fountain pen, and it has to be a classic, handmade brand from Russia. I'm not sure how to write it in English, but I'll find out next time and tell you.
The brand of this fountain pen is full of historical significance, and its design is almost the same as it was back then, with an industrial aesthetic—except that the one I bought is handmade.
Well, in my opinion, handmade pens seem more rustic than factory-produced pens.
Summer is almost here, and I'll be graduating from my senior year of college.
I obtained my engineer certificate during my junior year of college, but I need to accumulate a few more years of experience to take the senior engineer exam.
I'm wondering whether I should come to your country to gain experience, or stay in my own country.
Actually, I really want to go.
I want to experience the warm climate there, and I want to see the southern seas that aren't bitterly cold.
I just don't know if my current professional skills would be enough for a company in your country to hire me.
However, I think if your country wants to heavily support infrastructure development, I shouldn't lack job opportunities. It's just that not speaking Chinese might cause some communication difficulties.
But most problems should be solvable in English.
Well, apart from my graduation thesis, I don't have much else to do. The thesis will be finished soon, and I should probably use the remaining time to learn some Chinese.
After I arrive in your country, can I come visit you?
It was summer then, and we could go to the beach together to take a cruise, sunbathe, or go fishing.
The feeling of walking on the warm, soft sand must be amazing; I can't wait!
You told me last time that you had thought about becoming a doctor in the future, and I think that's a great idea, but that path isn't necessarily easy.
You may be able to save many people, but you certainly won't be able to save many others.
At that time, did you feel sad because you felt inadequate?
Will they feel disappointed because of the misunderstandings of the deceased's family?
I think this is the case all over the world—doctors who fail to save patients are considered enemies by some extreme families of the deceased.
So I hope that before you take this path, you will think carefully about whether you have really decided to do it.
You also need to consider whether you can handle that kind of pressure.
If that doesn't work, perhaps doing other jobs would be better.
Have you ever considered becoming a programmer?
This is also a promising emerging major, and its demand will only increase in the future.
Of course, you can also choose art-related majors, but finding employment in such fields might be more difficult.
Before choosing to become an engineer, I had considered becoming an animal trainer and a painter, but I gave up on both and finally chose civil engineering.
I've also been thinking about pursuing a master's and doctoral degree after graduation, but I feel that would take far too long.
So many years later, I'll be almost thirty. Is it too late to get back into work then?
Moreover, I believe that practical experience is the fastest way to acquire knowledge, so I think I should go to work after graduation and pursue a master's and doctoral degree in my spare time.
In fact, one should never stop learning in one's life, so it should be fine to make this a goal for the next ten years or so.
Weiguang, you said before that your wish was to travel around the world, but I think that wish is really too difficult to achieve.
Unless you're the daughter of a super-rich man, it's probably unrealistic to expect to spend your whole life traveling and having fun.
Perhaps, as a bestselling author or a famous painter, one could do this—because one can continue creating while traveling, without being limited by time and place.
Well, of course, it's too far off to think about these things. Plans can never keep up with changes, and you might have other ideas in the future.
As I write this, I suddenly remember what I wrote at the beginning—didn't I say I was going to dye my hair black?
The first half was written yesterday, but today I suddenly don't want to dye my hair anymore.
Because I think natural is the most beautiful. Isn't my red hair pretty too?
Or do you think I should change my hair color occasionally to change my mood?
Do schools in your country allow students to dye their hair?
Neither the high school nor the university I attended had any restrictions in this regard.
When I watch the news, I always feel that schools in your country are too strict with students. They should be given some freedom, at least enough to choose their own hair color and hairstyle, so that they can have their own personality. Otherwise, they will become mass-produced products.
Of course, this is just my personal opinion. After all, modern education has not been implemented for very long, and only history can tell which one is correct.
I glanced at the letter and realized I'd already written so much.
Well, I should go have dinner now. I'll stop writing here for this letter.
Shouldn't there be a proper ending?
It's so boring to always end with the same old clichés.
So this time...
I hope you develop well, especially your breasts, and grow bigger and bigger, until they are as big as mine!
whee.
I look forward to your reply.

Chapter 145 Tooth Extraction
The clinic has two floors and is very clean. Although it is not large, it is spacious. That's probably the charm of interior design.
You can see that there are many full-length mirrors installed, which subtly expand the visual space.
There are several fixed soft chairs downstairs, but no one is watching them.
There isn't even a receptionist?
Mo Xueyao looked around curiously, feeling that this was different from a typical private clinic, giving her a strange sense of peace.
Next to the stairs leading up to the top, there are some small potted plants and a clean restroom.
There was a long, thin faucet by the door that sprayed water upwards when turned on, seemingly for rinsing one's mouth.
"Rinse your mouth before going upstairs. Look at you, your face isn't even clean." The mother pointed to the corner of Mo Xueyao's eye. "You still have eye boogers!"
"Really?" Mo Xueyao walked to the mirror and looked at herself again and again, not quite believing it, before finally noticing the tiny, inconspicuous stain.
Of course, it's possible that you just don't notice it.
She smiled awkwardly, rinsed her face with water, and then rinsed her mouth several times before following her mother upstairs to the second floor.
Unlike the quiet downstairs, the second floor was surprisingly busy, with several doctors walking back and forth, and the sickening sound of an electric drill coming from a small, partitioned room from time to time.
A female dentist sitting at the front desk looked over and asked with a smile, "Are you here for a dental appointment?"
"Yes, I'm looking for Dr. Yang."
"Dean Yang—someone is looking for you!" the female doctor immediately turned around and shouted.
Then a middle-aged man with a high hairline walked over with a smile. He had become somewhat overweight, but it was not hard to see the remnants of his youthful handsomeness.
"Dr. Yang, it's been a long time!" The mother forced a smile brighter than the sun and greeted him with a hint of ingratiation.
"You are... Oh, Xiaoyu!" Dr. Yang recognized her after a moment's hesitation. "It's been a long time! How's your filling from last time?"
"Yes, everything is fine. There are no problems now."
"That's good. So, what brings you here today...?"
"Let me... take a look at my daughter's teeth, they're cracked." The mother said, while subtly nudging Mo Xueyao's shoulder.
"Ah... Hello, Uncle Yang."
"Go lie down on the hospital bed and let me see you," Dr. Yang said, walking towards an empty examination room.
She lay somewhat uneasily on the adjustable hospital bed, and then felt her upper body being slowly lifted up a little.
"Come on, open your mouth." Dr. Yang inserted a cold, hard instrument into Mo Xueyao's mouth and poked it around.
"Ah—" Mo Xueyao obediently opened her mouth wide, just so that the doctor could see her more clearly.
"Thump, thump, thump." Something cold tapped her cracked tooth. "Does it hurt?"
"Ah."
"Does it hurt? Raise your hand if it hurts." Dr. Yang continued to tap around her teeth, seemingly trying to determine which parts were affected.
Mo Xueyao quickly raised her hand.
When I tapped other things, there was not much of a response.
"Hmm, this is probably the problem. The other teeth are fine, no cavities. Keep it in good condition. This tooth is more fragile because it was filled." Dr. Yang dragged over an instrument, turned it on, and a beam of light shone directly into her mouth.
This is probably used as a flashlight, but it's much more advanced than a regular dentist's equipment. In this day and age, there aren't many dental clinics with such complete equipment.
"It should only be half cracked."
"Can it be replaced?" the mother asked anxiously from the side.
"The cracked part can no longer be repaired; it has to be pulled out. However, it's only the lower half that's cracked. After pulling out the cracked part, we can just use plaster to repair it."
"Do I need a root canal?" the mother, who had just had her teeth filled, asked, using a professional term.
"No need, she had this done before when she had her teeth filled. Look, this is the root canal, and what's stuck into the flesh next to it is broken filling material."
