There are only traces left by humans, but not even human remains have been found.

The vast expanse of abandoned machinery on the ground makes this place look like a civilized garbage dump.

Mo Xueyao saw some humanoid robots. Perhaps they originally had simulated skin covering their surfaces, but it had been completely worn away over the years.

Only the sturdy metal frame inside remains.

A jumble of electrical circuits, broken weapons scattered all over the floor.

The faint smell of gunpowder still lingers in the air.

If she hadn't known she was dreaming, she probably would have thought that the world had ended when she woke up.

Even so, she couldn't help but pinch her thigh.

Hmm, it doesn't hurt at all.

It must be a dream.

Since it's a dream, there's no rush. I'll wake up when it's time. It's rare to be awake in a dream, so how can I not wander around?

This was truly a novel experience.

Mo Xueyao wandered around and discovered that although there were no humans, there were many strange creatures.

Although some of them look ferocious and others seem harmless, they do not appear to attack humans on their own initiative.

Or perhaps you simply can't see her at all?

Not far away, there was an elephant that looked the most normal. It was pawing the ground with its long trunk, seemingly searching for something.

Suddenly, the elephant split open completely, and its outer skin peeled off, revealing a rhinoceros covered in elephant skin underneath.

The rhinoceros emerged from the hide, walked to the riverbank, drank some water, and then its hide cracked open, transforming into a fierce tiger.

It changed its previous docile nature and began to attack other creatures, but those strange creatures ran very fast and disappeared in no time.

Mo Xueyao was clearly following behind it, but it completely ignored her.

Perhaps it was hungry, for the tiger let out a whimper and lay down on the ground.

Have they starved to death?

Mo Xueyao curiously leaned closer to take a look, only to find that its skin had also cracked.

It went from being a fierce tiger to a sheep.

The sheep searched everywhere for grass, but couldn't find any to eat, and turned into a dog.

It's like a gift wrapped in countless boxes, making you curious about what's at the bottom.

Mo Xueyao watched curiously, wanting to see what it would become if it cracked again.

And sure enough, it split open again, and a cat crawled out of the dog skin.

Finally, the cat was swallowed by a huge, viscous creature that happened to be passing by.

The creature, like a jelly, wriggled forward, and I couldn't tell where its mouth was; it just swallowed me whole.

Then it spat out a huge... male genital-shaped creature.

Yes, it is indeed a living organism.

Although it seems to have a very exotic or bizarre feel to it.

It waddles along using the two round balls at the bottom, its posture seemingly similar to that of a goose, but its appearance is truly unbearable to look at.

It seems that this strange, columnar creature, which is over 20 centimeters long, is its original form.

At first, it wobbled as it walked, but then it began to wriggle on the ground like a worm.

Sometimes it softens, sometimes it hardens.

If this weren't a dream, Mo Xueyao would definitely be too scared to look at these strange creatures.

But it is precisely because this is a dream, and you know that everything is safe, that you are so curious to get closer and take a look.

Its surface fur gradually faded, and its size began to shrink, as if it had shrunk.

The color also changed from wheat-colored to pearl white, and it suddenly looked much cuter.

But the speed of action also became increasingly slower.

Finally, the strange creature could no longer move and lay down on the remains of an animal that looked like a deer or a pig at the same time.

The animal had been gnawed on; its internal organs had been completely removed, leaving only some scraps of meat on its skeleton.

This didn't have much of an impact on Mo Xueyao, since she had seen it all before in the animal world.

That's just how the law of the jungle works for animals.

Although there wasn't much meat, the strange creature still tried its best to survive and began to gnaw at it.

They even ate the bones clean.

I really don't know where it put all that energy.

Then it began to change again.

It turned into a giant eyeball.

The eyeball seemed to finally see Mo Xueyao, turned around, and stared at her for a long time.

Even knowing it was a dream, she was still somewhat intimidated by the gaze.

In the end, the enormous eyeball turned away, seemingly uninterested in her.

Then it started rolling around on the ruins.

Imagine what it would feel like to have a giant eyeball, about two meters in diameter, rolling around on the ground.

It's utterly absurd and bizarre.

However, since it is a dream, it cannot be expected to conform to logic.

This time, Mo Xueyao couldn't keep up with it because it was rolling too fast, rolling all the way to the horizon and disappearing completely from her sight.

Above them, birds that looked like machines were fluttering their wings. One of them landed on Mo Xueyao's shoulder and began spouting some inexplicable philosophy: "People live in order to die, and not wanting to die is for the sake of living, or perhaps it's not for the sake of living, but living is for the sake of dying—"

"What nonsense..." Mo Xueyao reached out and patted the bird on the shoulder, shooing it away.

But it continued to fly beside Mo Xueyao, muttering nonsensical words: "You say I'm wrong, what makes you think you're me? You say I'm right, what makes you think I'm right? I'm right and I'm wrong, but I'm definitely more right than you—"

"Are you an idiot?" Mo Xueyao said helplessly to the bird.

"Idiot, idiot, idiot—" the mechanical bird repeated like a broken record, "You are, you are, you are, you are—"

Then, as if stuck, it kept repeating the same syllable.

Finally, Mo Xueyao saw humans.

Or rather, a humanoid creature that can run.

It was a person clad in armor, but because he was wearing a full-coverage iron helmet, his face could not be seen.

But I could hear his voice.

He seemed to be chasing something.

A creature exactly like the columnar creature Mo Xueyao had just seen seemed to have hijacked the horse, clinging to its back like a plunger.

The armored knight behind them caused the ground to tremble slightly with each step he took, but his speed was surprisingly fast, managing to keep up with the swiftly running horse.

Upon closer inspection, it appears to be a mechanical horse dressed in a realistic-looking skin, as the mechanical components inside can be seen through the damaged parts.

"Halt! Leave your horse behind!" the armored man shouted, his voice booming without a trace of panting.

"Your horse is gone! Your horse is gone!" A large flock of mechanical birds flapped their wings in the air, repeating the same sentence as if mocking the armored man.

"That was my last horse!" The armored man seemed to have emotions; at least, his tone was quite indignant at this moment.

"Forget it, most of us don't have horses anyway, so you don't need yours either," another armored man said to his companion as they caught up from behind.

"Your horse is gone! Your horse is gone!" the mechanical bird in the sky kept repeating.

It added a touch of humor to the gloomy sky.

Before long, the mechanical horse disappeared from sight, but soon, a huge pillar-shaped creature appeared in the distance.

It was like a tall mountain, making a rumbling sound as it "walked" this way.

"Thump—thump—thump—!"

This was the first time Mo Xueyao had ever seen such a large thing.

A bead of sweat the size of a soybean dripped from his forehead.

Why would someone have such a strange and bizarre dream?

Finally, she saw the columnar creature grow larger and larger, eventually breaking through the atmosphere and plunging into space, even piercing the sun.

It gives you the feeling of having sunburned.

It perfectly embodies the character '日' (sun/day).

Then, the dream shattered.

Mo Xueyao was plunged into a pitch-black world.

The body's sense of touch seems to be gradually returning.

A soft little paw stepped on its body, seemingly fiddling with something.

She opened her eyes and saw the gray ceiling of the small fruit shop room, and the brittle sticks bouncing on the bedding.

"You stinky cat, you're asking for trouble by getting on the bed without washing your feet!" Mo Xueyao said irritably, picking up the cat by the scruff of its neck and putting it on the ground. She then stretched and got out of bed.

Li Wanyan, who was standing to the side, was curled up in a ball, seemingly trembling slightly, with some tear stains at the corners of her eyes.

I don't know what sad dream I had.

"Speaking of which, was that a nightmare?" Mo Xueyao muttered to herself as she climbed off the bed and put on her school uniform.

However, a nightmare should be terrifying, but the dream I just had didn't evoke any fear in Mo Xueyao.

At most, it's just some psychological discomfort and a strange sense of stimulation.

In the world of dreams, anything can happen, but this is the first time I've ever had a dream as absurd and unrestrained as this.
