"Stop whining like an old man, just start fighting already. By the way, you are an old man," Lin Yaoxie said impatiently.

"Good lad, that's enough of your boasting. My next move will take your life!"

"The Three Kingdoms Return to One"

Xiong Ba was furious and immediately used his third move.

Xiong Ba slowly waved his hands in the air, and cracks began to appear in the sky. A black aura slowly drifted out from the cracks in the sky, eventually transforming into an incomparably black sphere, which lay quietly in the void.

Lin Yaoxie's expression changed instantly upon seeing the black sphere. This was the Void Sphere, representing destruction, the ultimate destructive force. Although the sphere appeared calm on the surface, once it exploded, its power would be enough to blast a huge hole in the entire space.

"Haha, you're too surprised now. The real nightmare is about to begin."

Xiong Ba produced a white real balloon in his right hand and a golden real balloon in his left. He tossed them into the air, and the black spheres immediately attracted them, forming a triangular formation. Not only were the spheres themselves rotating, but the mysterious triangle they formed was also rotating according to some kind of pattern. The entire sky became quiet, with only this mysterious triangle constantly rotating.

"go"

At Xiong Ba's command, the mysterious triangle charged towards Lin Yaoxie.

Lin Yaoxie dared not be careless. A single Void Sphere was already terrifyingly powerful, let alone the two that Xiong Ba had added. Not only that, but they had also formed a mysterious array. He didn't know what its purpose was, but he dared not be careless.

"Sword God's Manual, Second Form: Impregnable Fortress"

To be on the safe side, Lin Yaoxie opted for an offensive approach. He had a vague feeling that the Three Kingdoms of the Threefold Origin was not so simple. Although Lin Yaoxie was confident that he could defeat him by attacking him head-on, he decided to trust his choice.

The second move of the Sword God Manual is a defensive move that can defend against all attacks. Of course, this is only in theory. When the attack exceeds the limit of this move, it can still be broken.

The mysterious triangle quickly arrived in front of Lin Yaoxie, collided with his defensive shield, and then disappeared. Lin Yaoxie was stunned. What happened? Why did it disappear as soon as it touched his defensive move? Was Xiong Ba just playing a trick?

Lin Yaoxie glanced at Xiong Ba and noticed that Xiong Ba had a strange expression on his face, as if he were looking at a dead man. Lin Yaoxie was immediately startled, and suddenly felt a loud bang in his head, as if something had exploded inside his head.

Lin Yaoxie immediately understood what this tripartite division of the world meant; it wasn't a physical attack at all, but a mental one.

However, by the time Lin Yaoxie realized it, it was too late. Lin Yaoxie suddenly felt a blur before his eyes and found himself back on the night he was abandoned.

A woman was walking through the snow, carrying a newborn baby. The baby was only covered by a thin cotton cloth and was crying loudly from the cold, but the woman ignored it and instead looked at the infant with hatred in her eyes.

"You shouldn't have been born into this world."

He threw the baby onto the snow and left without looking back.

……

In a garbage dump, a little beggar with a filthy face is being brutally beaten by several big beggars.

"Trash, don't you know whose territory this is? How dare you steal my treasure on my turf? You're asking for death!"

"Kill him!"

"Kill him!"

... .....

Chapter 209: The Sword God's Smile [Third Update]

In a neighborhood, a scarred man was grinning maliciously at a young man who had been beaten black and blue, slapping the young man's face as he arrogantly said...

"Kid, you actually dared to sleep with Young Master Li's girl? You're courting death like this, do you understand?"

"Boss, stop wasting time talking to him. Offending Young Master Li means certain death. Let's give him one last blow and celebrate for us brothers."

The scarred man nodded and plunged his knife directly into the young man's chest.

……

These scenes flashed through Lin Yaoxie's mind, playing out repeatedly. These were several scenes from Lin Yaoxie's life, all of which depicted him being bullied and humiliated, and were also his past wounds.

If Lin Yaoxie hadn't experienced the battle with the Sword Saint and that spiritual transformation, he might have perished. But after that spiritual journey, Lin Yaoxie's heart had become incredibly strong, and he couldn't be deceived by this illusory realm.

However, Lin Yaoxie truly admired the inventor of this Three-Part Returning Qi. The ability to transform an extremely destructive void sphere into an attacking spiritual force through an array was simply beyond Lin Yaoxie's imagination. It seemed that true powerhouses still existed in this world, far surpassing anything in the world of The Return of the Condor Heroes.

He admired him, but although he didn't care about those memories anymore, he didn't want to recall them too much. Xiong Ba had clearly offended Lin Yaoxie, and he wanted Xiong Ba dead!

"Dust to dust, ashes to ashes, the past is the past, I no longer yearn for it, the illusion has vanished."

Lin Yaoxie said softly, and all the illusions vanished without a trace.

Lin Yaoxie returned to reality.

"Xiongba, you have crossed the line. I want you dead!"

"Sword God's Manual, Third Form: The Sword God's Smile"

Lin Yaoxie waved the Blood God Sword with his right hand, and countless golden sword energies shot into the sky. The sunlight suddenly became brighter, the sky became bluer, and the earth, which was originally full of scars from the battle, returned to its original state. The grass and trees were restored to their original appearance, and the whole world became beautiful again.

Before his eyes, Xiong Ba saw himself dominating the world, the only one above all under heaven. He became the most powerful person in the world, and everyone submitted to him, shouting "Xiong Ba, Xiong Ba, Xiong Ba of the world!" He was wearing a yellow robe, sitting on a golden chair in a golden palace, smiling at everyone.

It felt like I owned the world.

Just as Xiong Ba was laughing triumphantly, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest. A blood-red sword was suddenly plunged into his chest, and blood gushed out as if it were free.

The scene before them suddenly changed. The golden hall and golden chairs, along with the many kneeling worshippers, disappeared, replaced by Lin Yaoxie's calm face.

"What's this move called?"

As he coughed up blood, Xiong Ba asked.

"The Sword God smiled, and with that smile, all things were revived, while the enemy vanished."

"Good, as expected of Sword God Yixiao, but unfortunately, he's still a bit short of killing me, only three points..."

Xiong Ba smiled, and then something strange happened. Suddenly, Xiong Ba split in the middle into three parts, which turned into three beams of light and fled in three different directions.

The speed was somewhat beyond Lin Yaoxie's imagination, but Lin Yaoxie still managed to react and kill one of them.

A small village 300 miles away from the grove

Two beams of white light suddenly appeared, and with a shout of "Return to Origin," they transformed into a person. Dressed in black, with thick eyebrows and large eyes, and a pale face, he exuded an imposing aura.

"That Lin Yaoxie is truly powerful. He actually managed to force me to use my last resort, severely injuring me. If that kid hadn't been unaware of my Three-Part Return to Origin technique and hadn't directly chopped off my head, I'd probably be a corpse by now. I'd better be more careful in the future, otherwise, given his hatred for me next time, I might die a terrible death."

Indeed, this person was none other than Xiong Ba. After talking to himself, Xiong Ba, dragging his heavy injuries, returned to the World Society to recuperate.

As for Lin Yaoxie, although he felt a little regretful that he didn't kill Xiong Ba, he was confident that he could kill him next time now that he knew Xiong Ba's moves.

The most important person now is Mud Bodhisattva. Mud Bodhisattva is a key figure in the story of Feng Yun. Almost every decision made by Xiong Ba was based on his instructions. Although it's somewhat unbelievable, Mud Bodhisattva did indeed foresee Xiong Ba's entire life. Truly, Feng Yun was both his blessing and his curse.

This person should be considered a fortune teller, able to foresee a person's fate.

Lin Yaoxie woke up Mud Bodhisattva, who had been stunned by the aftershocks of his battle with Xiong Ba, and said with a smile, "Mud Bodhisattva, Xiong Ba has been severely injured by me. What are your thoughts now?"

Mud Bodhisattva was shocked upon hearing this. He knew Xiong Ba all too well; he was practically invincible. The fact that the person before him could severely injure Xiong Ba was clearly beyond his expectations.

Some might say, "Isn't he good at divination? Why can't he calculate anything?" Well, there are limits to his divination skills. He can only calculate the fate of minor figures. If he wants to calculate the fate of important figures, he can only use tools and even then, he can only get a partial understanding. He can only calculate the big picture, but as for actual strength, that's simply impossible.

Therefore, he did not know that Lin Yaoxie was so powerful that he could seriously injure someone like Xiong Ba.

Surprised as he was, he was now in Lin Yaoxie's hands, and he knew exactly what Lin Yaoxie wanted him to do. Although he was unwilling and longed for freedom, he had no choice. Unless he wanted to die, but who would want to die?

"Your subordinate pays respects to Lord Wushuang." The Mud Bodhisattva knelt on the ground, touching the ground with both hands and prostrating himself.

"Alright, since you've said so, I'll take you as my subordinate. Mud Bodhisattva, I've heard you're skilled in divination; could you perhaps offer me a word of divination?" Lin Yaoxie said, patting Mud Bodhisattva on the shoulder.

"Your subordinate obeys, but this place is not suitable for issuing a decree. I hope the city lord can issue the decree in Wushuang City," Mud Bodhisattva said respectfully.

“Alright, then let’s go to Wushuang City,” Lin Yaoxie readily agreed.

A few days later, Lin Yaoxie brought the Mud Bodhisattva back to Wushuang City and took him to the city lord's mansion to begin the divination.

Chapter 210: Commentary [Fourth Update]

Inside the Lord's Mansion of Wushuang City

The clay bodhisattva took out a yellow Taiji diagram from his bosom, which was engraved with the characters "甲、乙、丙、丁、戊、己、庚、辛、壬、癸" and contained the Eight Trigrams of the Nine Palaces.

The clay Buddha placed the Tai Chi diagram flat on the desk and said with a smile, "Lord Chen, please place your hands on the Tai Chi diagram."

Without the slightest hesitation, Lin Yaoxie placed his hands directly on the Tai Chi diagram.

As Lin Yaoxie placed his hand on the Taiji diagram, a sudden change occurred.

What was originally an ordinary Tai Chi diagram suddenly began to rotate like the gears of fate, and the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams at the center began to emit beams of golden light that shot into the sky, making the whole scene appear incredibly mystical.

Looking at this scene, Lin Yaoxie couldn't help but admire it. He had just checked with the system and found that this seemingly inconspicuous Tai Chi diagram was actually an A-level Destiny Treasure, which was beyond Lin Yaoxie's expectations.

The Tai Chi diagram continued to emit golden light, which grew stronger and stronger. Lin Yaoxie knew that a prophecy was about to appear. Xiong Ba's prophecy appeared when the golden light merged into one.

However, the result was beyond Lin Yaoxie's expectations. He waited and waited, but apart from the golden light growing brighter and brighter, no characters appeared within the golden light. Lin Yaoxie looked at the Mud Bodhisattva with a puzzled expression.

The Mud Bodhisattva was filled with astonishment. In the past, when he predicted the secrets of heaven, golden words would appear when the golden light was connected. This was the first time he had seen a time when no words appeared for a long time, but the golden light was constantly increasing. However, this also reminded him of a legend passed down from their ancestors.

"Lord Lin, this is the first time I've ever seen something like this. But it reminds me of a legend from my ancestors. I wonder if I should tell it?" Mud Bodhisattva said to Lin Yaoxie with some excitement.

"Say"

Lin Yaoxie also wanted to know what was going on. After all, this was an A-level artifact of destiny, which was basically indestructible. If any problems occurred, it would definitely be a sign of something.

After receiving the order, the clay bodhisattva became so excited that he spoke incoherently; he was clearly very excited.

"Lord Lin, this is a message passed down from my ancestors, and I don't know if it's accurate. This situation also occurred among my ancestors. You know, I am called the Mud Bodhisattva, but you may not know that I am not the only Mud Bodhisattva! To put it simply, we are of the Mud Bodhisattva lineage. My ancestors were also called Mud Bodhisattvas. Our ancestors traveled the world for generations, making a great name for themselves. When they felt that their time was coming to an end, they would choose a successor and carefully teach him. And I am the successor of this generation."

The clay bodhisattva was somewhat emotional, clearly having overcome numerous obstacles to become the successor of this new generation; it was not an easy journey.

"Because there is only one Mud Bodhisattva in each generation, I inherited everything from the Mud Bodhisattva lineage, including the notes of the Mud Bodhisattvas from generation to generation. These notes record the people and events that each generation of Mud Bodhisattva encountered, as well as their various experiences. The one known as the strongest Mud Bodhisattva is the Ninth Generation! And the notes of this Ninth Generation record similar events. Because this is quite special, I remembered it very easily."

The clay bodhisattva paused, organized his thoughts, and continued speaking.

This is how it is recorded in the book.

One day, a man in white came to me and asked me to give him a reading. I was impressed by his extraordinary demeanor and dignified appearance and felt a sense of goodwill towards him, so I gave him a reading. However, something strange happened. The golden light kept intensifying, and the reading was delayed. Finally, the golden light was so intense that it was almost impossible to look directly at it. But the reading finally appeared. I could barely make out "the Lord of Destiny" before the golden light disappeared.

I was shocked and decided to take the gamble, submit to him, become his first subordinate, and perform divination for him. Sure enough, in the following ten years, this man was invincible and became the ruler of the world. When he gave orders, no one dared to disobey.

From then on, my title of Mud Bodhisattva became famous throughout the world. Therefore, I am writing this article to inform future generations that if they encounter someone who does not give any prophetic words but whose golden light keeps increasing, they should directly submit to him and help him achieve his hegemony.

Lin Yaoxie was delighted upon hearing this. It seemed that this A-grade destiny treasure was quite reliable and knew that he was destined to become the master of this world. Well, originally he just wanted to see if this Mud Bodhisattva had any real ability, unlike Xiong Ba who treated this decree as gospel.

He never believed in fate; he only believed in his own hands, that human will could conquer nature. A predetermined fate? Ridiculous! True strength lies solely in the hands of the strong. Fate is earned, not calculated!

Just as Mud Bodhisattva had said, the golden light intensified until it became so strong that people couldn't open their eyes. However, no divine pronouncement appeared, unlike what one might expect from a chosen one. Lin Yaoxie saw this very clearly.

However, he didn't care at all. This kind of thing can only be treated as a game. If you actually believe it, then you are a real fool.

Although Mud Bodhisattva also saw that no prophecy appeared at the end, he still firmly believed that Lin Yaoxie was the chosen one, after all, this matched what the senior had said too well. As for the lack of a prophecy from the chosen one at the end, he felt that the Taiji Diagram simply couldn't predict Lin Yaoxie's fate, since the Taiji Diagram wasn't omnipotent.
