The monk was terrified when he heard Lin Yaoxie ask him that question, but he also wanted someone to save them, so he told Lin Yaoxie the truth.

It turned out they were being bullied and exploited by the king. The king's son-in-law had lost his most beloved treasure and suspected the monks of stealing it, but they were all monks...

How could they possibly do such a petty theft? But the king didn't believe them, so he imprisoned them in shackles and made them stay in the streets all day long.

Upon hearing this, Lin Yaoxie knew something was amiss, so he returned to the temple to discuss countermeasures with the remaining people.

After discussing it, they decided to go to the palace to find the king and clarify things.

When they arrived at the palace, the king held a grand banquet for them. After the group ate a vegetarian meal, they began to tell the king about their experience.

They summoned the king's son-in-law, inquired about the situation, and informed him that they were monks from the Tang Dynasty in the East, on their way to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures, hoping that he would cooperate.

That very night, Tang Sanzang disappeared. Lin Yaoxie thought that his master must have been captured by a demon, and he suspected that the king's son-in-law was the demon who had captured his master.

So he made a scene in the palace in the middle of the night, demanding that the king hand over his master. The king was awakened by the evil Lin and was also very angry.

Just as they were about to send men to arrest Lin Yaoxie, they saw that Lin Yaoxie had injured several guards and was glaring fiercely at the king.

Your good-for-nothing son-in-law kidnapped my master, and you still have the nerve to throw a tantrum at me? Tell your son-in-law to return my master!

The king was also bewildered. He thought it was impossible for his son-in-law to have captured Lin Yaoxie's master, Tang Sanzang. So he ordered his men to bring his son-in-law to him. The guards immediately went to summon the son-in-law, but they couldn't find him. At this point, the king was speechless and could only let Lin Yaoxie berate him.

So Lin Yaoxie returned to the lodgings the king had arranged for them and explained the situation to Lin Yaoxie, Zhu Bajie, and the others, telling them that the king's son-in-law had captured their master.

After Lin Yaoxie finished speaking, they left with him. They needed to find the monster's hiding place as soon as possible and rescue Tang Sanzang before he was eaten.

The two walked and walked until they came to a cave. They saw that the cave was guarded by many soldiers. Lin Yaoxie concluded that this must be the monster's lair and that Tang Sanzang must be hidden here.

He transformed himself into a little demon and went forward. From the little demon, he learned that their king had just brought back a monk with delicate, fair skin.

Chapter Twenty-Two: The Nine-Headed Giant Bird

After Lin Yaoxie had finished using the little demon, he secretly killed it and took care of the other little demons as well. At this point, there were no demons guarding the entrance to the demon's cave.

As they said this, the three disciples went out the gate, with Sha Wujing guarding their luggage.

When they arrived at the monster's cave, they saw that there were many more guards outside. Lin Yaoxie and Lin Yaoxie went forward and quickly dealt with the guards.

Then Pigsy (Zhu Bajie) enters the scene.

"Monster, where is my master? Hand over my master now, and Grandpa Pig will spare you and make sure you die a horrible death!"

"You think you can capture me? Your two senior brothers couldn't do anything to me, and you still want to take me away? Keep dreaming!" the monster mocked.

Since Lin Yaoxie had been the one to fight monsters and save their master in the previous battles, he had been promoted to the position of senior brother. Therefore, it was correct for the monsters to call Lin Yaoxie and Zhu Bajie's senior brother.

The monster only realized he had been tricked by Pigsy after following him into the forest.

By this time, the monster had left its lair, had no helpers, and had nowhere to hide.

Then Lin Yaoxie and Lin Yaoxie ran out from the depths of the forest and beat the monster until it revealed its true form. However, this also made it easier for the monster to escape.

At that moment, the monster transformed into a nine-headed giant bird and flew away.

After Lin Yaoxie left, Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, did not recognize him and did not help him. So he returned to the forest to find Lin Yaoxie and asked him to go to the Heavenly Court with Lin Yaoxie to seek Li Jing's help.

When Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, saw that the Great Sage Equaling Heaven had arrived, he fawned over them and agreed to their request.

"Who dares to mess with the Great Sage Equaling Heaven? If he causes trouble in the Heavenly Palace again, the Jade Emperor will blame me. I'm not going to do such a losing business!" This was Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, thinking to himself, but he dared not say it out loud.

After they finished speaking, the group came down from the Heavenly Court to the mortal realm and began fighting the monster in front of its cave.

Finally, Li Jing, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, used his pagoda to subdue the monster and retrieve the treasure. At first, the monster struggled inside the pagoda, but Li Jing's pagoda was too powerful. After a while, the monster stopped moving.

After subduing the demon, Lin Yaoxie thanked the Heavenly King and hurried to the cave to rescue his master. After rescuing Tang Sanzang, they rested in the palace for another day.

Chapter Twenty-Three: A Beautiful Woman

The story goes that Tang Sanzang and his disciples, who were not five people in total, packed their bags and set off the next day at dawn.

On this day, Tang Sanzang and his disciples passed by a high mountain. The mountain looked very steep and seemed to exude an aura of evil.

"Master, be careful. Wukong, we must protect you. This mountain looks eerie; I have a feeling nothing good is coming from here," Lin Yaoxie said to everyone.

They then arrived at the foot of the mountain, where they planned to rest for a while before continuing their journey.

"Lin Yaoxie, your master is hungry. Could you please prepare some vegetarian food for him?" Tang Sanzang asked Lin Yaoxie.

"Master, there are no houses for miles around, and we've run out of food. Let me see if there are any wild fruits or anything for you to eat for now," Lin Yaoxie patiently explained to Tang Sanzang.

"Junior brothers, keep an eye on Master. I'll be right back." Lin Yaoxie said, then rode away on his somersault cloud.

Not long after Lin Yaoxie left, a woman came over, carrying a box in her hand, and walked towards Tang Sanzang and his companions.

"Master, where did you come from, and why are you sitting here?" the woman asked.

"We come from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East, on our way to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures. My disciples have gone to pick fruit, and they have told us to wait here," Tang Sanzang replied truthfully.

Sun Wukong looked at her and realized that she was not a woman at all, but a monster. However, he dared not make a sound, since his foolish master was still talking to her.

"Master, I happen to have some vegetarian food here. If you don't mind, please take it," the monster said.

"No need, our senior brother will bring back some fruit for us soon, we'll just eat the fruit," Sun Wukong said before Tang Sanzang could speak, genuinely afraid his foolish master would eat the monster's fruit.

"Vegetarian meal".

“Master, I was going to deliver this food to the fields. My father and mother work in the fields, and since they live far from home, I have to deliver the food to them. The food is fresh and has not been touched.” The monster continued.

At this moment, Pigsy looked over. Pigsy was greedy and lustful, and when he saw such a beautiful woman, he couldn't help but move closer to the woman who was actually a monster.

"Miss, if we eat your vegetarian meal, your father and the others won't blame you, will they? If they scold you, then it's our fault!"

"Elders, it's alright. My father and mother are kind-hearted people. If they knew I gave you the vegetarian meal, they certainly wouldn't say anything, and might even praise me," the demon explained.

Pigsy got excited when he heard this and was about to take the food from the monster.

"You idiot, you actually fed your master food of unknown origin! Do you know that it was a monster in disguise? Maybe the food is poisoned!" Sun Wukong shouted at Zhu Bajie, grabbing his ear.

"How is her origin unknown? I think she's just a kind, ordinary woman who gave her master the food her father and mother had given her. You're not grateful, but you're even accusing her."

At this moment, Pigsy was completely infatuated with the woman and didn't care about the monster at all. He was about to take the food from the monster when he spoke.

"Bajie, we'd better be careful. Didn't Lin Yaoxie tell us before he left that we must not be easily fooled?" Sha Wujing also advised.

Although Pigsy was very dissatisfied, he didn't say anything and just sat down on a rock to the side and started muttering to himself.

The forest demon "437" walked ahead, brandishing his iron rod and roaring, scaring the old jackals, wolves, tigers, and leopards in the forest into fleeing in all directions. Then the five of them continued uphill. Tang Sanzang suddenly said to the forest demon, "I have been walking for a day and I am very hungry. Can you go and collect some debts?"

"Master, are you kidding me? There's no village or shop in sight here in the middle of the mountain. Even if we had money, we couldn't buy anything. Where are we going to eat vegetarian food?" Lin Yao said with a wicked smile.

Tang Sanzang was very unhappy and muttered that Lin Yaoxie had no choice but to go beg for alms.

Lin Yaoxie leaped into the air, reaching a height of ten thousand meters. After searching for a while, he finally found some edible peaches. So, Lin Yaoxie picked some peaches, intending to take them back.

Lin Yaoxie's departure, though seemingly insignificant, startled a demon in the forest—the White Bone Demon. The White Bone Demon was a demon formed from a pile of bones. Upon seeing Tang Sanzang, she thought, "Let me see this Tang Sanzang; I've heard that eating his flesh can grant immortality!"

Then the White Bone Demon turned around and transformed into a beautiful woman with a face as fair as the moon and as lovely as a flower. Her features were exquisite, with delicate eyebrows, white teeth, and red lips. She carried a blue jar in her left hand and a green basket in her right and walked towards Tang Sanzang.

After reading this, Tang Sanzang also had some doubts, so he whispered them to his four disciples.

“You demon, you just finished talking about this desolate wilderness, and look, a person is coming out.”

After hearing this, Pigsy told Tang Sanzang and Sandy to sit down while he went to see what was going on.

He put down his rake, straightened his clothes, and pretended to be a refined gentleman before running up to the girl, though in reality he was just lusting after her beauty.

Pigsy was a notorious lecher; upon seeing this beautiful woman, he was overcome with lust and couldn't help but ramble on...

"Where is the female bodhisattva going? What is she carrying in her hand?"

She was clearly a demon, yet he couldn't recognize her. The woman said, "Elder, this green jar contains fragrant rice, and the green box holds fried gluten. Seeing that you and your disciples have suffered through your burial, I've come to offer you some vegetarian food."

So Pigsy happily ran back and told Tang Sanzang that a kind person had come to bring them food.
