"You've been helping him the whole time?"

Qianqian nodded gently, and Huanye picked up the teacup, then put it down again, saying:

"I still don't understand why someone with your cultivation level would take a liking to this hundred-year-old tiger demon?"

Qianqian said:

That happened before she came to the Demon Locking Tower. Before coming to the Demon Locking Tower, Qianqian was a fox demon cultivating near Baihe Village. One day, having nothing to do, she went to Suzhou to find some things to do.

Xuejian asked curiously:

Qianqian then recounted that after arriving in Suzhou, she met Xiaotang, who was running a pharmacy. After some twists and turns, the two finally got together.

After hearing Qianqian's story, Longkui covered her face with her hands and said:

Qianqian said:

Qianqian said:

First, why would a tiger demon go to Suzhou? Xiao Tang once said that she longed for the mountains and forests and for freedom, so there is no reason for Xiao Tang to go to Suzhou for so many years.

Secondly, Xiao Tang is a tiger demon, so how could she have opened a pharmacy in Suzhou? Furthermore, Xiao Tang's cultivation level is still low, so why didn't cultivators notice that she was opening a pharmacy in Suzhou?

Thirdly, and most importantly, what exactly is it that Qianqian's memory is hazy about? Even Huan Ye was amazed by Qianqian's cultivation level, and today, Qianqian effortlessly took Xiao Tang's life. While Xiao Tang wasn't particularly strong, she was still a hundred-year-old tiger demon, yet she was like a child wielding a knife before Qianqian. Furthermore, even Lin Yaoxie felt terrified by Qianqian, a thousand-year-old fox demon; her techniques were far too bizarre.

With some questions lingering in his mind, Lin Yaoxie unknowingly drifted off to sleep.

The next day, when Lin Yaoxie woke up, Xuejian had already prepared a table full of food, and Qianqian saw everyone off with a smile on her face, seemingly unaffected by yesterday's events.

Lin Yaoxie led Xuejian and Longkui to the next level. Huanye hastily handed over the affairs to Qianqian and continued to ask Lin Yaoxie for advice on how to commit suicide.

With Huan Ye's help, the remaining floors went relatively smoothly. Lin Yaoxie discovered that most of the demons in the Demon Locking Tower would still listen to Huan Ye.

On this day, Lin Yaoxie and his companions arrived at the second level of the Demon Locking Tower. This level was different from the other levels of the Demon Locking Tower. When Lin Yaoxie and his companions arrived at this level by riding the Bagua Stone, they found that the second level was filled with iron chains. They seemed to be in a mess, but they were secretly arranged according to some kind of structure.

Seeing the intricate network of iron chains, Lin Yaoxie figured it must have been arranged by someone. He grabbed Huan Ye and said:

"The iron chains here are a bit strange. How about we figure out where they came from before we move forward?"

Night Call:

They're just some old iron locks, used to reinforce the dragon pillars at the bottom of the Demon-Locking Tower. They're not very useful. I've passed by several times before, and nothing unusual happened.

Lin Yaoxie was still somewhat uneasy and wanted to see the iron chain's trajectory before entering the second level, but Huan Ye forcefully pulled him forward:

"Look at me."

Huan Ye led Lin Yaoxie and the others, making their way forward on the iron chain in a winding and zigzagging fashion, as if they were going home.

Suddenly, a strange cry rang out in the night:

"not good."

Before Lin Yaoxie could react, Huan Ye vanished before his eyes.

Lin Yaoxie cursed inwardly:

It's okay if you die, but don't drag me down with you.

The iron chains behind him moved and intertwined, but they couldn't find a way back. Lin Yaoxie hurriedly grabbed Xuejian and Longkui behind him. In the chaos, the iron chains started moving again. Before Lin Yaoxie could see how the iron chains moved, his vision blurred and Huan Ye's figure flashed, but then disappeared again, leaving only Lin Yaoxie and the other two.

Knowing the power of the iron chains, Lin Yaoxie pulled Xuejian and Longkui along as they weaved through the numerous chains in an attempt to find the Bagua Stone that led to the next level.

Chapter Ninety-Three: Seven Stars Trapping the Dragon

Whether it was due to the dim light or the sky, Lin Yaoxie felt that his eyesight had decreased significantly on the second floor, and he could only see a distance of three meters in front of him.

Lin Yaoxie, holding Long Kui and Xue Jian's hands, cautiously traversed the iron chain. After walking for about half an hour, Lin Yaoxie suddenly realized something was wrong.

When he first entered, Lin Yaoxie made a special mark on an iron chain. It was a kind of spray paint that he got from Transformers. It would be almost impossible for the Legend of Sword and Fairy world to imitate it. However, he found the iron chain for the third time during his journey, and each time it was under his feet.

Lin Yaoxie originally thought that the iron chains here moved according to some kind of rule, and that he could cross them by simply walking around. After all, Huan Ye had said that he had crossed here before. However, when he crossed the iron chains for the third time, he realized something was wrong. He and Xue Jian and the others were very likely going around in circles.

Lin Yaoxie pulled Xuejian and Longkui aside and said:

Something's not right with these chains. Let's go back to the entrance.

Lin Yaoxie pulled Long Kuixue and the two women along for another half an hour, but they couldn't find a way back to the exit no matter what they said.

Lin Yaoxie casually said:

Xuejian glanced at Longkui:

This is no iron chain that you can just walk out of casually; it is clearly the Dragon-Trapping Formation of Mount Shu.

Although the name "Trapping Dragon Formation" sounds fierce, it is actually a protective formation. People inside the formation cannot get out, and people outside cannot get in. Huan Ye, however, managed to enter the Trapping Dragon Formation using his own abilities, but unfortunately, he can only enter and not exit.

Lin Yaoxie pondered carefully. Although this Dragon-Trapping Formation was named after the Big Dipper, it was actually created by the Shu Mountain based on the changes of the Big Dipper.

Lin Yaoxie tried hard to recall the information he had previously obtained from the system:

The "Treatise on Astronomy" in the Book of Jin seems to record the changes of the Big Dipper in considerable detail. The seven stars of the Big Dipper are located north of Taiwei. They are: first, Tian Shu; second, Tian Xuan; third, Tian Ji; fourth, Tian Quan; fifth, Yu Heng; sixth, Kai Yang; and seventh, Yao Guang.

The seven stars correspond to heaven, earth, fire, water, earth, wind, and thunder respectively. The Trapped Dragon Town often places the person to be trapped in one of the star positions.

Based on his understanding of the situation, Lin Yaoxie carefully observed the Dragon-Trapping Formation and thought to himself:

Although this formation appears to be neatly arranged, it was set up too hastily, making the trapped person easily identifiable. In that case, one only needs to go to the star position that counters it and accept the talisman.

Lin Yaoxie took a closer look and, as he expected, the location of Tianxuan Star was darker than other star positions. Tianxuan Star governs the earth, so as long as the talisman at the location of Tianshu Star is found, the formation will be broken.

Lin Yaoxie, leading Xuejian and Longkui, headed straight for the location of the Tian Shu star. After a careful search, they indeed found a talisman. After Lin Yaoxie tore off the talisman, Xuejian asked curiously:

"How did you know there was a talisman hidden here?"

Lin Yaoxie offered a brief explanation, but Xuejian remained curious:

What if I tear the wrong one?

Lin Yaoxie replied:

“Tearing the wrong one will result in the punishment of breaking the formation. For example, if we hadn’t come here and had gone to the Tianji Star Position, we would probably have been hit by a meteor shower, given the strength of the person who set up the formation.”

Hearing that fire rain was about to fall from the sky, Xuejian stuck out her tongue and said:

"Luckily, you were lucky."

Because of the broken formation, Lin Yaoxie discovered that the visibility on the second level was indeed much better than before. Looking around, he saw a person lying on the Yao Guang star position with a blackened body. Lin Yaoxie shook his head. He knew without going over that the person was Huan Ye, who had been trying to commit suicide.

Seeing that the Dragon-Trapping Formation had been broken, Huan Ye rushed angrily toward Lin Yaoxie and the others. Before Lin Yaoxie could react, Huan Ye delivered a solid punch to Lin Yaoxie's face.

That punch was really heavy; Lin Yaoxie's face swelled up instantly.

Lin Yaoxie said angrily:

What are you doing?

Lin Yaoxie reached out to strike back, but remembering what had happened when he hit Huan Ye before, he forced himself to listen.

Huan Ye then asked Lin Yaoxie the same question:

What are you doing?

Seeing that Lin Yaoxie's face was swollen from being slapped, Xuejian used her immortal magic, Houde Zaiwu, to restore Lin Yaoxie's appearance and then said...

"We saved you, and you repay kindness with enmity?"

Huan Ye angrily replied:

"What do you mean by saving me? If a few more bolts of lightning had struck, I might have died."

Hearing Huan Ye's words, Lin Yaoxie was truly at a loss for words, finding it both funny and exasperating that someone so eager to die...

Lin Yaoxie thought to himself: Never mind, never mind.

Ignoring Huan Ye, he walked straight towards the star position where Tianxuan had been before.
