On the other side, Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

When Yukiteru arrived with Keikain Ryuji and a team of Onmyoji, there were no yokai appearing yet.

"Is the power of the seal weakening?" As soon as Xuehui stepped into this place, he felt that the originally abundant power of the seal was being weakened little by little.

"There's no other way. The eight sealing points are inherently linked, and with two of them destroyed, the suppressive power of the seal in the Kyoto region will inevitably decrease," explained Ryuji Kakaiin, who was standing to the side.

Guarding this place is a middle-aged Onmyoji from the Keikain family, Keikain Kaigo.

After the two teams joined together, they had just begun setting up when they sensed a strong demonic aura approaching.

"come yet?"

Accompanied by a pervasive, oppressive demonic aura, a large number of demons appeared outside the barrier.

Leading the group was none other than Kidomaru, with whom they had already clashed once, and beside him stood a long-haired young man wielding a sword.

"Heh, what good luck, I've run into them." Yukiteru's expression also turned cold. It seems he can get revenge on Saeko Busujima and Yomi Isayama for their injuries.

Kidomaru also saw Yukiteru inside the barrier, and his expression hardened: "Cricket Clan, be careful, the opponent is not simple."

"Hmph, Kidomaru, is that the guy who injured you before? You're such a coward. This time we have the amplification of our demonic power. Can't we handle a mere human?" The white-haired youth called the Mole Cricket Clan sneered and shouted first, "Listen up, all of you, advance! Break the seal!"

With this command given, all the monsters howled and charged toward Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

After stretching his arms, Xuehui summoned his Heart Crossing technique and walked out of the barrier without looking back, ignoring the people behind him trying to stop him: "You guys just need to guard the barrier. The people who are free can deal with some of the smaller monsters. As for the two leaders, no one can take them."

"...Are the Ryougi family members really this crazy?" Shaking his head, Ryuji Kakaiin wasn't going to listen to Yukiteru's arrangements so easily. He took out two bamboo tubes and followed them out. He preferred offense to defense, which gave the middle-aged man next to him a headache, forcing him to organize his own defense.

Those little monsters posed no threat to Xuehui. He easily cut through the monster circle and arrived in front of Kidomaru and the mole crickets. Xin Du pointed at them and said, "Hey, it was you two who hurt our little sister, wasn't it?"

"Oh? You mean those two foreign female Onmyoji?" The mole crickets frowned, feeling uncomfortable with the aura emanating from Xuehui. "I must say, those two are quite capable. It's a pity that if it weren't for a shikigami helping them, one of them could have survived."

"Then, the target is set." Xin Du's blade lightly touched the ground, and gray flames slowly ignited on Xue Hui's body, gradually spreading from the ground to the two demons. His aura also grew increasingly powerful. "Originally, I was thinking of cultivating my mind and body. After all, I'm about to become a father, so I wanted to avoid fighting if possible. But you demons just love to cause trouble. You're asking for death, so don't blame me."

"Heh, don't be so sure of yourself!" The mole crickets were clearly not convinced by Xuehui's arrogant words, and directly released their own power. With the amplification brought by Yuki-gitsune, their demonic power was approaching that of a great demon.

But the next second, he saw a figure flash before his eyes, Xuehui had disappeared, but the voice came from behind him.

"Too slow. I have no interest in you guys. Go to hell and repent."

The update is late. I've been watching Kamen Rider Build, and I've caught up on all nine episodes. The storyline looks pretty good this time around.

Chapter 284 Message Dissemination

Yukiteru had no intention of capturing the two monsters who had injured Saeko Busujima alive; he would just deal with them quickly and decisively, since there was no information he needed to know anyway.

"This...this is impossible, my power..." Blood gushed uncontrollably from their mouths. The mole crickets lowered their heads, staring in disbelief at the line of blood on their chests and the two arms that had detached from their bodies.

He tried to struggle, but as soon as he moved, his body was severed in half and he fell to the ground. His eyes, which had been wide open, became dull and lifeless.

"Although I don't know how you managed to hurt them so unexpectedly, small fry are still small fry, and they can only gloat for a while."

After swinging his sword and leaving a trail of blood, Yukiteru turned his gaze to Kidomaru on the other side.

Taking a deep breath, Kidomaru didn't have time to be shocked by what had just happened. Gripping the sword in his hand, he knew that his operation tonight was doomed to fail, and whether he could return alive was another matter entirely.

"I let you go last time, but this time it won't be so easy." Stepping on flames, Yukiteru casually burned away two little monsters that tried to sneak up from behind, and walked step by step toward Kidomaru.

Three days after Yukiteru set off, a full week had passed since the Kyoto anomaly began. People who were initially unaware of it began to notice the gradually thickening fog appearing around Kyoto.

Although television programs often feature so-called experts who claim it's just an undiscovered weather phenomenon and that the public needn't worry, anyone with common sense knows it's merely reassurance. The fact that it's only affecting the Kyoto area makes it clear it's unlikely to be any weather change at all.

Speculation about monsters, demons, alien invasions, and other supernatural phenomena is spreading increasingly rapidly both online and in real life.

After a day of classes, Yukino and the others returned home, but they weren't in a good mood. The news had spread from the Kyoto area, and even a large portion of Chiba knew about it. The television station seemed to be under pressure from higher-ups and hadn't broadcast it, and it was being repeatedly deleted online, but the news still managed to spread. At school, everyone was discussing what had happened in Kyoto, and the communication failure had also become known.

"Something unknown to humankind has appeared? Or is it an alien invasion? It seems this has really gotten out of hand." Looking at the message on her phone that would only be visible for a few minutes before being deleted, Sister Xiaojing couldn't help but shake her head. "It was the same in class today; the students were all secretly discussing it. Every class was like that."

"There's nothing we can do. Things just can't be hidden anymore. I received news that the visual obstruction had already been done once, but somehow it dissipates very quickly. Once someone notices it, it will spread." Yukino sat next to Shizuka, rubbing her tired neck. With Yukiteru gone, she had to do a lot of the work, plus the things in Kyoto, so the pressure was indeed considerable.

“However, it probably won’t last long. Although the frequent reports are making people a little uneasy, you two don’t seem worried at all.” Shiyu’s words revealed the two’s feelings. After all, they had been discussing the matter from the sidelines, not even bothering to mention what was happening in Kyoto.

Yukino glanced at Utaha, who wasn't very interested, and explained to her, "Because I received some news during the day. It was sent by the person who replaced the teacher in Tokyo. That troublemaker, Hagoromo Gitsune, is only considered to be of average strength among the great yokai. Just from the place where Yukiteru went to train, there are more great yokai who could take her down than you can count on two hands."

"Uh... isn't that very weak?" Upon hearing this, Shi Yu immediately felt that the prestige of that Yu Yi Hu (feathered fox) had plummeted.

"It's not fair to say they're weak," Yukino said, frowning as she considered her words. "It's just that the people in that place called Gensokyo are ridiculously strong, to the point that they're too lazy to even come out. The troublesome one is probably the half-demon, Abe no Seimei, who's about to have a son with Hagoromo Gitsune. That guy's strength is definitely top-notch. But with Yukiteru and our teacher here, even without considering their trump cards, our chances of winning are about 6%, according to the temporary guild leader."

"Interim president? Another guy popping up?"

"It seems he originally came to cause trouble for Yukiteru, because his Heart Crossing belonged to the other party, but it was taken away by the teacher. Then he was tricked by the teacher again after coming here, so he can only help hold down the fort in Tokyo for now. Apparently, he is a vampire who is quite famous in the West."

"Tsk, another troublemaker." Shiyu shook her head, but she was no longer worried. She stood up and walked towards the kitchen. "Since you've said that, then let's leave it at that. Yukino, come and make dinner."

"it is good."

Just as Yukino received, indeed, among the yokai of Kyoto, there aren't many that can catch the attention of Ryougi Shiki, Yukiteru, and the top onmyoji of the Keikain family. The reason they were able to succeed and break several seals was because of their surprise attack and the use of some insidious tactics. A single move involving an amplification of yokai power of unknown origin was enough to allow them to suddenly erupt in what was originally an evenly matched battle, catching the onmyoji off guard.

On their first night in Kyoto, after dealing with two groups of yokai, Yukiteru and Ryougi Shiki left the Keikain family and found the Nura Clan, who were wandering around Kyoto, causing trouble for the yokai.

"Tsuchigumo? That great demon who was sealed away hundreds of years ago, a battle maniac? I didn't expect Hagoromo Gitsune to personally unseal him. Another troublesome opponent."

Yukiteru also learned some other things from Nura Rikuo. Hagoromo Gitsune actually went to unseal a great yokai while attacking the sealing point. He didn't know why she was so leisurely, even though several of her subordinates had been dealt with by them.

"Not only Tsuchigumo, we also discovered several unidentified individuals who appeared to be human Onmyoji. Although they only appeared briefly, we shouldn't be mistaken." Resting his chin on his hand, Nura Rikuo revealed another important piece of information.

This time, even though Ryougi Shiki remained calm upon hearing information about a powerful yokai, she frowned: "Onmyoji, are you sure it's not from the Keikain family?"

"No, it's because those guys have a very strange aura. Grandpa also noticed it. I received a message from him saying that an additional variable has appeared, so it should be true."

Hearing this, Yukiteru and Ryougi Shiki exchanged a glance and nodded: "Mikadoin family, so these rats who were hiding somewhere have finally shown themselves? Perfect, let's take care of them all at once."

I was worried that something might happen after I left Tokyo, but now it seems I can handle all these troubles at once.

Book title: What brings you here, Phantom Thief?

Chapter 285 One Week

A purely defensive posture isn't a sustainable solution, but the Onmyoji of the Keikain family must remain at the sealing point and cannot leave. Otherwise, even a slight departure could allow the Kyoto yokai to easily breach the seal.

Therefore, the task of launching an attack can only be left to the Nura Clan, Ryougi Shiki, and Yukiteru.

"That's true, but where exactly is Hagoromo Gitsune? Kyoto isn't that big, but it's not that small either. If we search for it bit by bit, it will take a lot of time."

After learning about the next plan, Nura Rikuo frowned and asked, "Our current fighting strength is still quite sufficient. The minor injuries from the previous battles have been mostly healed during the rest period."

Although the exact extent of Hagoromo Gitsune's strength is still unknown, they definitely have a chance of winning.

"As for the location, let this old man lead the way."

As they were discussing, an elderly voice came from outside the door, and the many yokai of the Nura Clan all showed expressions of surprise and delight.

"General!"

"grandfather!"

The door opened, and walked in Nura Nurarihyon, whose whereabouts had remained a mystery, along with his tengu. Although everyone knew he was also in Kyoto gathering information, no one had been able to find him.

"Grandpa, where have you been these past few days?" Nura Rikuo immediately rushed over and asked Nura Nurarihyon.

"Me? Hmm~ I think I found something, but I almost capsized, ahahaha~~~" Nurarihyon scratched his head and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Although I wanted to come find you as soon as possible, I couldn't. I had to hide for several days to avoid being tracked."

"Tracking? Grandpa, you've been discovered?" Yukiteru looked at Nurarihyon with surprise in his voice. After all, he was a great yokai, Nurarihyon. Could it be Hagoromo-Gitsune who could discover him?

Nurarihyon shook his head and said, "It's not Hagoromo Gitsune, it's an Onmyoji. I was also injured by his shikigami before, and I couldn't see anything for a long time. If it weren't for Karasu Tengu, it would have been really troublesome."

"Eyes?" Upon hearing this, Xuehui recalled something from a long time ago.

"It seems that the Mikadoin family has indeed intervened? There might be more than that; multiple forces may have gathered in Kyoto." Ryougi Shiki understood what her disciple was thinking. Without a doubt, the one who injured Nurarihyon was the Mikadoin family's shikigami, the same Yotsuzaku that Yukiteru had tried to capture but who still managed to escape.

Although Yukiteru searched for a long time in Chiba and Tokyo afterwards, he still couldn't find him. It's estimated that he was put into hiding because they didn't want to lose manpower.

Although he no longer has any intention of subduing shikigami, the other party is, after all, a member of the same clan as that little skeleton in Gensokyo.

"Next time you see this, just grab it and throw it back."

Then, Nurarihyon began to recount all his discoveries over the past few days, and finally, he brought up the topic they had been discussing earlier.

"Onmyoji and foreign yokai organizations can be ignored for now. Anyway, I think they all have one goal, which is..." He stood at the window and pointed to the tall ancient building in the distance, "Hagoromo Gitsune, or rather, Hagoromo Gitsune's unborn child, Abe no Seimei. If we go there, we can see them all."

The battle has only just begun.

Several more days passed, and the weekend arrived.

Saturday, at the Sawamura residence.

Eriri lazily got out of bed, put on her pajamas, rubbed her eyes, and ran to the bathroom to wash up.

After breakfast, it was time to get to work as usual.

However, Eriri, sitting at the drawing table, couldn't muster any energy at all.

"It's been almost a week already, and Yukiteru-kun still hasn't come back?" Eriri muttered to herself as she looked at the outlines of the figures drawn on the paper.

The next second, she immediately blushed and shook her head: "I...I didn't miss him, hmph, he clearly lured me away, but then left so quickly. Hmm...no, I can't get angry. Xuehui-kun is doing the right thing. The internet has been in an uproar these past few days, and Xuehui-kun is working hard on it! Calm down, calm down, let's get back to work!"

However, after drawing a few strokes, Eriri seemed to deflate like a punctured balloon. She put down her paintbrush, moved her feet back to bed, and slowly burrowed back under the covers, leaving only half of her head exposed.

"When are you coming back... I miss you, Yukiteru-kun..."

Just as Eriri was lazily spacing out, Sayuri Sawamura, who had just finished making and serving the desserts, knocked on Eriri's bedroom door and came in.
