The Master of Konoha's Legacy

Uchiha Tonan narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the prince who harbored deep resentment towards him, and said slowly:
"This is what I, as a subject, should do."
Unfortunately, I am getting old and have just exhausted my physical potential; my days are numbered.
"Land of Fire, we'll have to rely on you from now on..."
As soon as he finished speaking, Uchiha Tonan used Lightning Spirit Flash to leave the area and headed out of the City of Fire.
"Mr. Seimei".
"Why did Mr. Seimei leave?"
"Didn't you notice Mr. Seimei's expression? I reckon... sigh..."
"That's right. The price that was paid for such a powerful ninjutsu must have been quite high."
"What a pity, what a pity..."
"A great talent, reduced to such a state."
"The most important thing now is to bury our lord and arrange for the Crown Prince to succeed to the throne."
"The Hokage of Konoha is also a problem."
"Your Highness, please accept my condolences."
The Crown Prince's eyes were filled with a deathly stillness, and he said expressionlessly:
"Everyone, you should all go back and rest first."
Let me spend some quality time with my father…
After the prince finished speaking, he struggled to lift the daimyo's body and went back into the house.
After a long while, the prince's furious roar, filled with grief and indignation, came from inside the room.
[Chapter 95. "Those who slay Asuma will surely have my teacher"]
In the jungles of the Land of Fire, Asuma is desperately fleeing.
Far from the City of Fire, the full moon in the night sky, like the eyes of a goddess, coldly gazes upon the earth.
"Cuckoo~"
The forest was filled with eerie chirping of insects and birds, as well as the roars of wild beasts.
Asuma had just seen the massive bolt of lightning above the City of Fire from a distance.
A bad feeling crept into my mind.
"No way, that guy is so strong, how could anything happen to him?" Asuma could only comfort himself with this thought.
After running so hard for so long, Asuma's stamina was starting to give out.
He looked around warily, and only after confirming that no one was following him did he feel relieved enough to stop and rest.
Asuma was seen supporting himself on his knees with both hands, panting heavily.
Fine beads of sweat on his forehead coalesced and streamed down his cheeks.
Even with his exceptional ninja physique, maintaining such high-intensity running was still too much for Asuma, who wasn't even a genin yet.
"Cuckoo~"
Just then, a cool breeze carrying the dampness of the forest blew against Asma's body from behind, making him feel particularly uneasy.
Asma turned his head to look, feeling uneasy.
The moon still hung overhead, emitting a cold light that cast a desolate filter over the night.
The woods behind them were so dense that the moonlight couldn't reach them at all.
It was pitch black, like the gaping maw of an abyss, full of danger.
Asuma swallowed hard, feeling a bit cold. He rubbed his arms together and muttered, "No one should be chasing us, right?"
Even so, his heart was pounding wildly.
It was as if they foresaw what was going to happen.
Asma wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, dragged his exhausted body to a tree hollow, and crawled inside.
The tree hole reeked of decay, and many reptiles clung to its interior, gnawing at the trunk.
Reptiles crawled all over Asma, causing her unbearable itching.
Nevertheless, in order to avoid being discovered, Asuma dared not react too much and could only force himself to endure it.
If they were discovered by the pursuers, their fate would be many times worse than it is now.
Today's dreamlike experience has left Asma utterly exhausted.
Amidst the chirping of birds and insects in the jungle, Asma slowly closed his eyes and curled up in the tree hollow to sleep.
It's so itchy~
After an unknown amount of time, Asma was awakened by the reptiles in the tree hole.
Unable to bear it any longer, he reached out and scratched himself a few times.
Suddenly, Asma paused slightly.
Through the tree hole, you can see that it is still late at night outside.
But he remembered that before he fell asleep, there were sounds of insects chirping and birds singing outside, but now they had all disappeared.
Thinking about it carefully, this is a deep forest, a place where many insects, ants, birds and beasts gather, so the lack of calls is indeed somewhat abnormal.
The surroundings were eerily quiet; Asuma could even clearly hear his own heartbeat.
"Thump, thump, thump..."
The pounding of his heart was like a heavy hammer, particularly jarring in the deathly silence.
Asma could feel cold sweat breaking out on his back and his forehead was covered in fine beads of sweat.
He tried his best to regulate his rapid breathing and calm himself down.
I even comforted myself, thinking that perhaps this quietness was just a special natural phenomenon.
I'm probably overthinking it. Everything will be fine after I take a nap.
After a short while, Asuma's emotions gradually stabilized.
Just as he was feeling uneasy and wanted to go back to sleep...
suddenly!
A dark figure appeared at the cave entrance.
Asma felt his heart stop for a moment.
Its eyes suddenly widened, and even the reptiles on its body seemed to collectively stop moving.
Her breathing became rapid again, and her lips turned pale with fright.
A moment later, Asma was able to see what it was.
It turned out that the dark figure was just a white dove.
The white dove tilted its head, lowered its head to peck at a few insects, and then spread its wings and flew away.
"Huh~"
Asuma lowered his head and gasped for breath, a look of lingering fear on his face.
At the same time, he secretly mocked himself.
You scared me to death, Asma! How could you be so timid? It's just a pigeon.
Startled by this sudden change in weather, Asma was drenched in sweat and felt extremely uncomfortable.
Wait a minute, do pigeons eat insects?
As Asma relaxed, a question mark flashed through her mind, and she subconsciously looked up.
!!!
Asuma's pupils suddenly contracted to their maximum size, and his heartbeat stopped instantly.
The faint moonlight filtered through the gaps in the lush foliage.
Asma vaguely saw a pale face almost touching his own, as if scrutinizing him closely.
The dim lighting and the close proximity made it impossible for Asuma to see the other person's face clearly.
He felt as if an invisible hand was tightly gripping his neck, making him feel like he was suffocating.
His mouth gaped open in terror, but no sound came out.
The next moment, the eyes of that face turned scarlet, and the three tomoe slowly rotated.
"Asma, what are you doing here?"
A slightly familiar voice rang out, instantly pulling Asuma back from his extreme fear.
Asuma finally came to his senses.
"Damn it, what are you doing here? Don't you know it's scary to suddenly bring your face so close like that?" Asuma said angrily in a low voice.
Uchiha Tonan pulled his head out of the tree hole. Although his face was pale, his expression was unusually gentle. He adjusted his glasses and said:
"I came here specifically to find you. I'm so sorry, I startled you."
In such a perilous situation, Asuma finally encountered an acquaintance, which made him feel much more relaxed.
Seeing Uchiha Tonan's confident demeanor, Asuma immediately stuck his head out and said with a serious expression:
"You escaped too?"
Uchiha Tonan smiled but didn't say anything.
Asuma looked around and reminded her:
"We should be careful not to provoke the people from the City of Fire."
Do you know how Shinnosuke is doing?
