Infinite: Start as a ghost

Without the temptation of human flesh, ghosts' intelligence is quite close to that of normal people.

But as soon as they see a living person, the ghost becomes extremely violent, and some with low resistance cannot even maintain basic rationality.

"Wait a minute before you fight. Can someone tell me where we are?"

Neither of the two ghosts paid him any attention; they just kept fighting amongst themselves.

After thinking it over, Jiang Jiu decided to join the fight.

Ghosts and humans are actually quite similar; they both rely on their fists to get what they want, except that ghosts are more blatant about it.

He needs to know how his current fighting strength compares to that of the other ghosts.

So, while the two ghosts were fighting, he suddenly rushed up and punched each of them, sending them flying.

"You're asking for death!" the two ghosts roared in unison, lunging at Jiang Jiu at the same time.

The three demons immediately became entangled in a fierce fight, and the scene instantly descended into chaos.

Relying on his immortality, Jiang Jiu fought recklessly and wildly, but in his previous life he was just a homebody and had no idea how to fight.

These ghosts, on the other hand, fight every now and then, and their combat skills are far superior to Jiang Jiu's.

So he was beaten to the ground in no time.

"Damn it, what is this thing? It's so weak and it dares to challenge us. What bad luck."

"Ignore him, the outcome of our battle is still undecided, let's continue, I want this territory."

"Come on, are you afraid of me?"

Lu Guijia and Lu Guiyi, having lost interest in Jiang Jiu who had been knocked down, resumed their fight, moving further away from his area as they went.

"Damn, am I that weak?" Jiang Jiu cried out in pain as he got up. "That really hurts."

After the battle, his understanding of himself and the demons deepened.

Judging from his performance just now, his attributes are not much different from those ghosts; they belong to the same level.

The biggest difference lies in combat methods and techniques.

It seems that fighting is the only thing left to do, and I need to figure out where I am.

It's very unusual for several ghosts to appear in one place.

So he chased after the two ghosts, wanting to find out what was going on.

The two ghosts were so engrossed in their fight that they didn't notice Jiang Jiu's arrival, and the same scene from before repeated itself.

Jiang Jiu punched the two ghosts away with a left punch and a right punch.

"Damn it, we let you go, and you still dare to come back?"

"I'm going to kill you this time, no matter what!"

The three... no, the three ghosts were fighting again. This time, Jiang Jiu was smarter and focused on defense.

Then occasionally, I'll find an opportunity to get back at them.

However, the technological gap and the unfamiliarity with the fighting style meant that he was destined to suffer losses.

Just then, he mysteriously grabbed Lu Guijia's thigh that was being kicked at him and bit down on it without thinking.

"court death!"

Lu Guijia roared and was about to strike Jiang Jiu away when suddenly a feeling of powerlessness came from his legs.

"what happened?"

For some reason, Jiang Jiu instinctively drank a mouthful of Lu Guijia's blood, and immediately felt his pain lessen.

Lu Guiyi took the opportunity to kick Jiang Jiu away.

Lu Guijia sat down weakly, staring blankly at his thigh, where blood kept flowing out uncontrollably.

"What's going on? Why can't my injuries heal?"

Lu Guiyi and Jiang Jiu were oblivious to the situation and started fighting again.

The two sides fought for a while, and only when they saw that Lu Guijia did not join the fight did they notice him.

Then he saw that something was wrong with Lu Guijia, who was sitting there hugging his legs and wailing.

As Jiang Jiu watched the blood gushing out of him, a strong urge suddenly drove him to drain Lu Guijia of his blood.

Somehow, he instinctively followed his own desires.

He held down Lu Guijia, who was temporarily unable to move, and then opened his mouth wide and bit down hard on his neck.

"Ah, stop! What are you doing? Stop it! Stop!" Lu Guijia screamed in agony.

Lu Guiyi stared dumbfounded at the scene unfolding before him. This phenomenon was too incredible even for a ghost, and for a moment he forgot to react.

Chapter 3 Frenzied Slaughter

"Ding... Congratulations, host, for achieving the first kill of its kind. You have attracted the attention of Muzan Kibutsuji."

"Ding... 10 attribute points rewarded."

Jiang Jiu quickly allocated the 10 attribute points.

Add 5 points to Spirit and 5 points to Agility.

Its power is already comparable to that of other demons, so there is no need to increase it for the time being.

Mental state affects thinking speed, reaction speed, and the eye's ability to capture dynamic information.

Agility increases dexterity and speed.

At this moment, Lu Guijia's blood had been completely drained by Jiang Jiu, and his body turned to ashes, just like it had been exposed to the sun.

Lu Guiyi then realized what had happened and cried out in horror, "You...you actually killed him?"

"Ding... Blood purity increased by 1%, and all four attributes increased by 5 points."

"What?" Jiang Jiu exclaimed in surprise, "Such a dramatic improvement all at once?"

"This damn instinct does have its advantages, but I wonder what it would be like if I encountered a living person, and whether I would have the same impulse."

"If the impulse is strong enough, I can barely suppress it."

Then he looked at Lu Guiyi with ill intent.

Lu Guiyi immediately ran away in terror.

Jiang Jiu didn't take his actions to heart; his original speed was 15 points.

The first kill gave him a 10-point attribute bonus, which he allocated 5 points to Agility and 5 points to Spirit.

The increase in blood purity boosted his score by another 5 points.

His speed is now a full 25 points.

In his eyes, Lu Guiyi's movements were now almost as slow as jogging.

"Want to run?"

Jiang Jiu darted forward and caught up with Lu Guiyi in no time, pinning him to the ground.

"Tell me, where is this?"

Lu Guiyi exclaimed in horror, "This is Tengxi Mountain, how could you not know that?"

"Mount Fujikasane?" Jiang Jiu was taken aback: "The final selection ground for the Demon Slayer Corps?"

Lu Guiyi: "Yes, this is the place. Can you let me leave now?"

Jiang Jiu glanced at him indifferently: "When did I agree to let you leave?"

"You! Ah, no..."

Jiang Jiu bit the neck of the ghost on the road and had another satisfying meal.

Before long, Lu Guiyi also vanished into thin air.

"Huh, why haven't I gotten stronger?" he wondered. "Is it because blood purification becomes more difficult later on?"

"Let's try catching another ghost."

He said thankfully, "Fortunately, this is Mount Tengxi, where there are many ghosts."

Then they searched everywhere, looking for those lone ghosts.

He doesn't want to search for groups of ghosts right now, because if even one gets lost and isn't killed, it could very well leak his information.

At that point, he will either be attacked by the group and controlled by a bunch of ghosts, or the other ghosts will run away when they see him, giving him no chance to catch them.

If it were any other ghost, it wouldn't matter what special abilities it possessed, but the fact that it could kill other ghosts would definitely unite the other ghosts in purpose.

Therefore, before possessing sufficient power, one must first kill lone ghosts.

After running for about fifteen minutes, Jiang Jiu finally found the other ghost.

Without saying a word, he rushed up and subdued it, then pounced on it and bit it repeatedly.

"Ding... Blood purity increased by 1%, and all four attributes increased by 5 points."

Jiang Jiu was overjoyed: "As expected, the more you go, the more health you need."

In the days that followed, he went on a killing spree, killing nearly a hundred ghosts in just over three months.

"System, open the properties interface."
