“Yes, that’s why I want to learn other breathing techniques.” Kagaya smiled. “Please wait a moment, I need to contact a few Pillars.”

"Okay," Jiang Jiu nodded in reply.

A short while later, Yaozai returned to his seat with the help of his children.

"Former Mr. Kuwashima is free for the time being and can come over at any time."

Jiang Jiu smiled and said, "Thank you for your trouble..."

Yaozai smiled and said, "By the way, I just heard some news recently that you should be interested in."

Jiang Jiu asked in confusion, "What news?"

Kagaya said, "Tanji-kun has found Kibutsuji Muzan, who has been missing for hundreds of years."

"And he also found the Ghost Doctor Tamayo!"

Chapter 24 Murata's Changes

Jiang Jiu stood up in surprise: "What, is this true?"

Yaozai nodded and said, "It's absolutely true. I was originally unable to fulfill your second condition, but I didn't expect such a pleasant surprise."

"Once you have learned the remaining three breathing techniques, I will have fulfilled the promise I made to you."

Jiang Jiu nodded and said, "Thank you very much. I appreciate your kindness and will certainly not let you down."

Yaozai laughed and said, "As long as you are willing to do more for humanity, that's fine."

Jiang Jiu thought for a moment and said, "I have another suggestion that I think we can discuss."

Kagaya said, "Please speak..."

“Let me kill all twelve Ghost Moons,” Jiang Jiu said. “I am immortal, they cannot kill me, but I can kill them.”

"Your Demon Slayer Corps is better suited to dealing with demons that are not lethal."

"Just tell me if you have any news about the Twelve Ghost Months."

"If I were to die in battle by accident, it wouldn't affect you if you continued fighting. In fact, you would have an absolute advantage."

Yaozai's face lit up with joy: "This plan is brilliant."

He staggered to his feet, then bowed deeply to Jiang Jiu at a ninety-degree angle: "The hope of humanity is entrusted to you."

Jiang Jiu was overjoyed and immediately returned the greeting: "No need for formalities. These are my duties as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. It is my responsibility."

In this way, he no longer had to worry about anyone stealing his ghost blood, and he simply couldn't control his unhappiness.

From this point on, the storyline was completely disrupted.

But does he care?

Having mastered the breathing technique, learned of Tamayo's whereabouts, and located the demon blood, they now have a plan.

He has completely achieved his goal.

As for the world view, plot and all that stuff, what are those things, and what do they have to do with him?

“I have another idea,” Jiang Jiu said.

“Please speak,” Yaozai said.

"I suggest you bring Ms. Tamayo over and protect her at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters."

Yaozai nodded: "I have indeed considered this aspect."

Jiang Jiu laughed and said, "Are you afraid that Jiu Zhu will object?"

“Yes,” Kagaya said. “They only recently accepted you and Nezuko as demons, which is already hard for them to accept. Let’s postpone Tamayo’s matter for now.”

"The one thing she has in abundance is time."

Jiang Jiu agreed with him: "Alright, you can handle these things yourself. I was just giving you a suggestion."

Yaozai smiled but remained silent.

"Take me to Tamayo's place first, since it will take Mr. Kuwashima a few days to arrive anyway."

Kagaya said, "Well, that's fine. I'll have someone take you to Tamayo's place right away."

Not long after, a member of the Demon Slayer Corps arrived outside. Kagaya had asked him to take Jiang Jiu to see Tamayo.

"Hey, Murata, it's you." Jiang Jiu teased.

"It's been a long time, Mr. Oni." Murata is a different person now; his temperament has become noticeably calmer.

"You've become so serious?" Jiang Jiu pouted. "It's boring. I still prefer the silly boy you used to be."

Murata said solemnly, "Please don't make fun of me, Mr. Oni."

"Alright, let's go," Jiang Jiu said, turning to say goodbye to Yaozai: "Well then, Mr. Yaozai, see you in a few days."

Yaozai smiled and nodded.

During the journey, Jiang Jiu couldn't help but chat with Murata, feeling unwilling that Murata's goofy spirit had simply vanished.

"Hey Murata, what have you been doing these past few years?"

Murata replied firmly, "Mr. Oni, I now formally become a member of Lord Wind Pillar's ranks."

"Wind Pillar?" Jiang Jiu scoffed. "Why would you become his disciple? He's weak, boring, and bloodthirsty."

Murata: "..."

Jiang Jiu asked, "You've mastered Wind Breathing?"

Murata answered truthfully: "I have already learned the sixth form and am currently learning the seventh."

"What, is it that Shinazugawa refuses to teach you?" Jiang Jiu asked.

“That’s not the case,” Murata replied. “It’s because I’m slow-witted and learn slowly.”

"I remember you used to use the Water Breathing technique, so why did you switch allegiance to Shinazugawa?" Jiang Jiu asked curiously.

"My aptitude is limited," Murata replied honestly. "I have mastered all the skills of Water Breathing, but I can no longer improve."

"So I thought, rather than getting stuck on one path, I should seek variety. Since my attack power is limited, I should make my methods more diverse."

"Good, a wise choice." Jiang Jiu suddenly remembered that the Demon Slayer Corps had a ranking system: "What rank are you now?"

Murata replied, "Level E..."

"That's pretty good, keep it up!" Jiang Jiu said with a smile.

Murata: "Yes, thank you. If possible, I really want to try my best to become a Pillar."

Jiang Jiu felt it was novel; Murata had shed his goofy spirit and had a touch of chuunibyou (a Japanese term for someone with delusions of grandeur).

Well... it feels pretty good too.

A day later, they arrived at their destination.

Jiang Jiu: "??"

"What is Tamayo doing in this run-down village?"

In his mind, the town where Tamayo lived should be very luxurious, so how could it be in this poor and remote place?

Murata explained, "Ms. Tamayo's previous residence was discovered and destroyed during Kamado-kun's battle with the demon, so she moved to a new location."

"Oh, right, I forgot about that." Jiang Jiu blurted out what was on her mind.

"Forgot?" Murata asked in confusion. "What do you mean, 'forgot'? Does Master Oni know Tamayo's original address?"

Jiang Jiu was stunned for a moment, then immediately realized that she had let something slip.

He immediately explained, "Of course I don't know. It was because Lady Ubuyashiki told me two pieces of information before, but I didn't immediately connect the two."

"I see." Murata was easily fooled.

Chapter 25 Ghost Doctor Tamayo

"Who are you?" Tamayo asked, looking at the two strangers in front of her.

“Hello,” Murata replied, “I am a member of the Rank 5 Demon Slayer Corps under the Wind Pillar. My name is Murata.”

Then he reached out his palm towards Jiang Jiu: "This one, like you, is a ghost."

"A ghost?" Tamayo glanced at Jiang Jiu. "Indeed, it is the aura of a ghost."

Murata continued, "Mr. Oni is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps like me, but he is not under the command of the Nine Pillars and acts independently."

Then he said to Jiang Jiu, "Mr. Gui, now that I have brought you to your destination, my mission is complete. I will take my leave now."

After saying goodbye to Tamayo and Jiang Jiu, Murata left.

"Blood Demon Art: Bewitching Blood - Visual Dream Fragrance..."

"Ok?"

Jiang Jiu was caught off guard by Zhu Shi's sudden use of the Blood Demon Technique and was caught off guard, thus falling victim to the attack.

"Miss Tamayo, what's going on?" he asked, puzzled.

Tamayo said, "I'm sorry, I don't know anything about you, so I hope you can cooperate with me."

"I won't hurt you, as long as you answer a few questions truthfully."

Jiang Jiu: "..."

Tamayo isn't very strong; her strength might not even reach Rank A. However, her abilities are quite unique and have unexpected uses.

Although Jiang Jiu was confident that he could break free by force, he decided to cooperate with her for the time being in order to gain her trust.

"Blood Demon Art, Bewitching Blood, Daytime Incense..."

While thinking, Tamayo used another Blood Demon Technique.

Jiang Jiu remembered that this move was to prevent the skill of lying, so she simply stopped resisting.

Tamayo asked, "What is the purpose of your visit to me?"

Jiang rescued her, saying, "To break free from the curse."
