Chapter 200 Sophia's Strange Behavior

Abyss walked out of his room, holding the chrysanthemum that had been placed on his chest when he first woke up.

There was no one at the door. Flora had finally listened this time and hadn't foolishly stayed by Abyss's side. After talking to Rebecca, she learned that everyone was eating.

“Everyone’s been on edge these past few days, so I threw a banquet to treat everyone involved in the research to something good to eat and boost morale,” Rebecca said to Abyss via telepathy. “How are you feeling now?”

"I'm rested now—how long did I sleep?"

“It’s alright, you slept for about ten hours,” Rebecca said. “It wasn’t a very long time, so I wasn’t too worried about you. Flora wanted to come see you several times, but I told her not to worry so much, so she only went to see you twice.”

“Oh, by the way, when I woke up there was a flower on me. Did Flora put it there for me?” Abyss asked again.

“Flora? No, she didn’t mention putting flowers on me. By the way, why would someone put flowers on you? Aren’t those for the dead?” Rebecca almost laughed. “Was someone playing a joke on you? Anyway, anyone can enter the Palace of Eternal Night.”

"Hmm... never mind, I just ate that flower. Whatever the person's intentions were, I've accepted it all." Abyss shrugged indifferently and said, "The flower was fresh, and it tasted pretty good."

"Pfft... You and that flower-giver are quite the pair. This is the first time I've ever seen someone eat the flowers offered to them." Rebecca finally couldn't help but laugh.

“Oh, let’s get down to business.” Abyss slapped his forehead. “I just met the Lord of Bullying while I was sleeping.”

"The Lord of Bullying? He has awakened? Has he returned to his original form?" Rebecca immediately became serious upon hearing this news. "I had wondered before if the Lord of Bullying might have been stimulated by the power of the Lord of Delusion's invasion, to the point that he awakened, and he actually did it."

“Yes, the Lord of Bullying has returned to normal. I had a good talk with Him in the spiritual world,” Abyss said casually to Rebecca, as if he were talking about meeting a new neighbor while out for a walk. “He has now decided to become the overseer of Helheim. He will descend upon the City of Eternal Night in a little while. Tell everyone around you, and we’ll go to greet Him together.”

"What?" Leona's voice came through the shared thought channel at this moment, "How did the Lord of Bullying become the overseer of our world? ABC, are you out of your mind?"

“I think it makes a lot of sense,” Rebecca laughed. “Anyway, the Lord of Bullying’s power was the biggest factor in Helheim’s expansion to such a large size, so it’s quite fitting that He is now the overseer of our world. I just don’t know, Abyss, what exactly is this concept of an overseer? I guess it’s different from the gods of other worlds, right?”

"Of course it's different. Our world wasn't created by the creator god—although it did borrow some things from His world."

Abyss recounted his conversation with the Lord of Bullying and the memories he had gleaned from him to his followers, leaving them all stunned. No one had imagined that the Lord of Bullying had been a wicked god from birth, dedicated to destroying the world; it was his rebellion against the Creator God that had transformed him into his former form.

But after hearing this, the girls became even more convinced that the Lord of Bullying was a partner they could cooperate with. He and the Abyss shared the same enemy, and it seemed that the Lord of Bullying's hatred for the Creator God was even deeper than theirs.

The banquet paused automatically. When Rebecca announced that a god would descend upon the City of Eternal Night and live there as an equal to them, serving as a coordinator and decision-maker alongside the grey elves, everyone at the banquet was filled with curiosity. Meeting a god was already a remarkable experience, let alone meeting a god of equal status.

Within minutes, all the residents of Eternal Night City learned that the Lord of Bullying was about to descend, and they all prepared to come and watch.

The Abyss soon met with the girls, including all of its retinue, Sheila, Sophia, and Edvina.

"Hey everyone, how was the party?" Abyss greeted everyone warmly after ten hours apart.

“It’s pretty good, the food is perfect,” Leona replied first.

Flora didn't answer Abyss directly, but instead smiled at him. She probably hadn't enjoyed the banquet much for the past ten hours, having been preoccupied with worrying about Abyss. Now, seeing Abyss looking so radiant, a huge weight was lifted from her shoulders.

The other girls were all chattering away, telling Abyss about the joy of the banquet. Only Sophia remained silent.

Abyss glanced in Sophia's direction, and Sophia immediately looked away, her face flushed, appearing very uncomfortable.

"Sophia, how was the banquet? Did Rebecca treat you well?" Abyss asked Sophia.

"Ah...yes...yes." Sophia nodded hurriedly when asked by Abyss, "Although I couldn't taste anything at the banquet, the atmosphere was quite nice..."

"That's good." Abis nodded. "Oh, by the way, it's strange, when I woke up I saw a flower on my chest..."

"Ah... I suddenly need to use the restroom, excuse me!" Sophia blushed even more when she heard Abyss say that. She clapped her hands and left as if she had remembered something.

Putting aside whether spirits need to use the toilet, the flower on the Abyss's chest is a case in point.

But why would Sofia give flowers to Abyss? Isn't she bad at dealing with boys? Everyone was a little confused.

Just as they were wondering, a bright aurora suddenly flashed in the sky above Eternal Night City.

This aurora was much brighter than the magically simulated aurora in the sky, and it was also incredibly beautiful with its myriad colors. It immediately drew the attention of all the residents of Helheim.

A sense of oppressive power emanated from the sky, very similar to when the Lord of Bullying forcibly broke through the barrier of the Nine Gods in order to infuse power into Carol. However, this time, the oppressive power lacked the malice and unreasonableness of that time, and was merely a simple, natural byproduct.

The Lord of Bullying has arrived!

Chapter 201 The Evil God's New Name

"Still playing cards at home? Come out and see the immortals!"

The residents of Eternal Night City were immediately excited, spreading the news that a god would become their new neighbor.

This is unusual news for everyone. Gods are generally perceived as high and mighty beings; they don't even casually meet with mortals, let alone live among them. Such an absurd plot is something even the Vatican, in its religious stories praising sages who could communicate with God, wouldn't dare include.

Everyone quickly gathered beneath the aurora, standing on tiptoe and craning their necks in anticipation. Even the non-human races living on the outskirts of Eternal Night City watched the situation from afar, but refrained from entering for fear of damaging anything inside the city.

“I’ll make the Lord of Bullying make a little more noise when he comes out, so I can know where he will descend,” Abyss said, turning to the girls behind him. “It seems the Lord of Bullying is willing to cooperate with me.”

"That's quite a spectacle," Rebecca said, looking up at the strange phenomenon in the sky.

The power fluctuations of the Lord of Bullying had already given everyone a tingling sensation. The aurora in the sky was growing brighter, and a swirling wind was blowing beneath it, its speed increasing until it emitted a whooshing sound. That divine power made everyone subconsciously hold their breath—after all, they were all undead, so not breathing didn't matter.

Rumble...

Tiny flashes of lightning appeared in the aurora, accompanied by rumbling thunder. These lightning bolts did not damage any of the buildings below; they were merely natural phenomena caused by the stirring of divine power.

A flash of light appeared suddenly in the lightning, and everyone knew that the main event was about to begin.

As the figure in the sky gradually became clearer, the girls' expressions began to change.

Leona first grabbed Abyss's lower back: "Why is it a girl? ABC, what's it to you?"

“It’s okay, that’s what He always looked like,” Abyss said to Leona, turning back to her with a wronged expression.

Flora also seemed somewhat on high alert: "I never expected that the Lord of Bullying's true form would be a young girl. I originally thought He would transform into a strong man."

“You’re not allowed to flirt with Abyss,” Rebecca said with a smile.

Agnes and Carol, who were as innocent as blank sheets of paper, didn't understand why the others were reacting this way. But Carol, being a child, naturally imitated those around her and chimed in, "Senior Brother Abyss, you can't flirt with the gods!"

“When did I ever plan to flirt with a god? We’re still partners. What if He misunderstands what you’re saying?” Abyss innocently raised his hand. “Seriously, we really are just partners right now.”

The Abyss wouldn't lie about such things, which put everyone at ease. They were just waiting for the Lord of Bullying to descend.

The luminous figure gradually became clearer and more solid. A magnificent golden short armor appeared first, and then the light coalesced into the beautiful skin of a young girl. Long, flowing golden hair cascaded down her back like water. The former absolute majesty of the Lord of Bullies now possessed a touch of goddess-like sanctity.

All the inhabitants of Helheim were captivated by the sight before them. The aurora borealis, lightning, and even the wind seemed to swirl around this beautiful goddess, and for a moment, the Lord of Deception became the focus of the entire world.

The Lord of Bullying's body began to descend, slowly falling from the sky to the ground.

As she descended to the ground, the natural phenomena slowly faded away, and her divine power gradually receded. The divine power that the Lords of Bullying had released to bolster their power, upon hearing Abyss's words, returned to the world and resumed its normal operation.

The Lord of Bullying, who had descended from the sky with her eyes closed, opened her beautiful golden eyes after regaining her footing.

His heroic bearing left the residents of Eternal Night City in awe. He truly was a powerful evil god; he didn't need to say or do anything, he simply exuded the aura of a strongman.

Abyss stepped forward first and stood before the Lord of Bullying.

"Welcome to our city, Eternal Night City. From today onwards, you are a member of Eternal Night City. You may choose one of the vacant houses in the city." Abyss bowed to the Lord of Bullying. "On behalf of everyone in Eternal Night City, I extend my sincerest greetings to you. Welcome to Eternal Night."

The Lord of Bullying looked around, then nodded: "Well then, thank you."

“Although you, as a god, may not have the same needs for food, drink, and entertainment as mortals, you can still choose to enjoy yourself with the people and experience the ways we mortals enjoy ourselves,” the Abyss said with a smile. “Work is important, but a balance between work and rest is even more important—ah, of course, I’m not quite sure if you gods ever get tired.”

The Abyss was very enthusiastic, and the spirits around him were even more enthusiastic. Some of the spirits even picked a few flowers from the roadside flowerbeds, stood in the crowd, and held them up with both hands, posing as if to welcome him.

"Your way of welcoming us is quite... novel." The Lord of Bullying looked around again.

“Oh, right, before we settle you in, I have another question. How should we address you from now on? Lord of Bullying, or your name, Ganakreba?” Abyss asked.

Lord of Bullying is at least a common language, but Ganakreba is not so easy to pronounce. It was not originally a name given to the mortals of Hay-Tver. The not-so-long name is mixed with friction and crackling sounds, and a mortal's throat can only produce an onomatopoeia with about 60% similarity.

"The name Lord of Bullying... if possible, please don't call me that anymore." Lord of Bullying shook his head. "I was born for this, but now, I loathe bullying, I loathe what I did before. So, please stop calling me Lord of Bullying—as for my real name, it's difficult to pronounce, and I don't think you need to call me by it."

"Shall I give you another name?"

"can."

“Hmm… As a god, you have a natural sense of majesty, and over the long years you have learned the characteristics of mortals… You can be said to be a very special god, solemn yet closer to other gods…” Abyss began to analyze, stroking his chin.

Everyone quieted down and waited for the Abyss to give the former bully a new name.

“It needs to be a name that is both divine and human…” Abyss clapped his hands. “I’ve got it—how about your new name, Little Jiajia?”

Chapter 202 New Members of the City of Eternal Night

The name Abyss is quite weighty, as evidenced by the fact that some people in the audience fell down after hearing it.

“Little Jiajia? This name sounds like it’s for a little kid.” Flora tugged at Abyss’s sleeve from behind. “Abyss, how could you give a god such a name?”

"Little Jiajia...?" The Lord of Bullying was clearly taken aback when Abyss gave him such a name.

This was no naive, innocent girl; this evil god had lived through an era beyond the comprehension of ordinary people. She knew far more about mortal life than anyone present had. Giving such a name to a little girl made everyone a little worried that the Abyss might anger this deity.

Abyss, on the other hand, didn't seem to care at all, standing there with a smile on her face as she looked at the domineering female warrior in front of her.

“I think this name is great. You see, the added syllable comes from the easier-to-pronounce part of your given name, and then I used the character ‘小’ (xiao, meaning small) and a reduplicated form. This brings you closer to others. Hearing this name will make you feel very friendly…” Abis was quite proud of his naming skills, and he solemnly introduced the name to the other person, “I think this name couldn’t be more suitable.”

"Are you stupid! Hurry up and change!" Leona also secretly tugged at Abyss's pants, almost pulling them down.

"Little Jiajia... Hahahaha!" The Lord of Bullying was silent for a while, then suddenly burst into laughter, "Little Jiajia! What a fine little Jiajia!"

The laughter was much crisper than when the Lord of Bullies was still in his tooth monster form; it wasn't as deafening, but it still tasted the same. The Lord of Bullies' personality hadn't changed much after he remembered things from before he lost his memory.

"Very good! I'll accept the name Little Jaga!" The Lord of Bullying—the god who would henceforth be called Little Jaga—looked intently at the Abyss. "Little Jaga may not be majestic enough, but what good is majesty? I'll just use this name from now on, so everyone can easily call it out. When I truly defeat the Creator God alongside you in the future, the Creator God's final battle record will be 'defeated by the Abyss and Little Jaga.' Just thinking about that scene is incredibly exciting!"

As the saying goes, the cuter the name, the more insulting it is. Imagine a mercenary dueling someone. If the opponent's name is something like "Death's Hammer," being defeated isn't so bad. But if the person who defeats him is called "Jumping Cute Bunny," then the mercenary will find it hard not to try and get revenge.

"Then, I'll call you Little Jiajia from now on?" Abis was very satisfied.

"Well, just call me Xiao Jiajia. Everyone else can call me Xiao Jiajia too. This is my only name now." The goddess, radiating golden light, turned to the stunned crowd and said to them, "From now on, I will be your neighbor. This world is under my jurisdiction, but I am equal to you, so there is no need for formalities. The formalities of mortals mean nothing to me."

“I’ve come to find you a house to stay in, Ms. Jaja.” A grey elf walked up gracefully and called out her name first. “Incidentally, I’ll also show you around Evernight City and even Helheim.”

"Okay, thank you very much then." Little Jiajia is a god who always keeps his word. He had asked everyone to call him Little Jiajia before, and now he didn't feel awkward at all, nodding in agreement very naturally. "I'm also new here, so I'll need you to explain things to me. I don't know much about manners, please forgive me."

The grey elf was about to lead Little Jaja away to choose a house. Before leaving, the spirited goddess paused before the Abyss and said, "Then, Abyss, I will be a resident of your Eternal Night City from now on. Let me see how the undead inhabitants of this world differ from and have in common with other mortals."

“They certainly won’t let you down,” Abis nodded to little Gaja.

Amid the curious gazes of the residents of Eternal Night City, this deity, who should have been high above, went to be assigned a house just like the other undead who had moved into Eternal Night City. Some people wanted to follow him to take a look, while others, adhering to the principle of not disturbing him and waiting to visit with gifts after settling in, went back to their own homes first.
