Narration system starting from Konoha

Kong's vision clearly showed the trajectory of the Executioner's Blade. Although he hadn't activated his Sharingan, his powerful dynamic abilities made his eyes no weaker than those of a typical Sharingan user.

The Executioner's Blade cleaved into the tree, and Zabuza vanished from his spot, reappearing on the Executioner's Blade.

[With his back to everyone, he displayed a haughty and arrogant demeanor, intending to intimidate Kakashi's team.]

The entire Team 7 breathed a sigh of relief. Sasuke decided he absolutely had to find a chance to beat up Ku; that little brother of his was too reckless, and he almost thought Ku was going to die just now.

Kakashi was much calmer than Sasuke. The kunai had deviated from the direction of the Executioner's Blade; had Sora anticipated he wouldn't be injured? Kakashi wondered to himself.

Uchiha Sora quietly posted a voiceover.

[His heart was pounding wildly. He didn't even have time to dodge. Luckily, Zabuza was too weak, or he would have been dead.]

"Kid, you're lucky to have escaped this time. You won't be so lucky next time."

Kong chuckled and said, "I've long heard of Zabuza, the Demon of the Hidden Mist Village. I heard that the Hidden Mist Village implemented the Blood Mist Policy, and you couldn't stand it, so you tried to assassinate the Mizukage, which is why you were wanted."

I originally thought Zabuza would be a great ninja who would fight for the village, but it turns out he's a scumbag who actually served a guy like Gato.

"So it seems your assassination attempt on the Mizukage wasn't for the village, but to enhance your own reputation. A guy like you only deserves to be Gato's dog."

Zabuza was consumed by rage; he had never felt such a strong urge to kill anyone. How could the ninjas of Konoha understand the pain of the ninjas of Kirigakure?

The pain of killing one's best friend with one's own hands is something that ordinary people can't understand. Zabuza had lost all hope in Kirigakure, and the whole world had turned gray.

"Nonsense, brat, you've angered me."

Zabuza was somewhat embarrassed and angry that his secrets had been exposed. These were secrets he had intended to keep hidden in his heart for a lifetime, but he never expected that the narrator would reveal them so easily.

An enhanced wasabi smoke bomb appeared in his hand and he threw it into the air.

Zabuza ignored it, his body falling as he drew his Executioner's Blade and slammed the broad blade onto the smoke bomb.

"Boom."

A light green haze enveloped the area around the large tree, but Kong didn't hold out much hope.

Zabuza wore a mask, which, while not as good as a gas mask, could still prevent the wasabi smoke bomb from directly contacting his mouth and nose, minimizing the harm.

Sora understood a little better now. That's why many ninjas in the ninja world liked to wear masks; they could be quite useful in crucial moments.

"You treacherous brat, your tricks are useless against me."

Zabuza plans to use the Hidden Mist Technique to create a mist while standing on the water.

Soudou: "Zabuza is useless. The narrator will keep prompting you for your next move. Even if you use the fog to hide, it will be of no use. You might as well fight openly."

Or do you believe in your heart that you are no match for Kakashi-sensei in a direct confrontation?

Zabuza was indeed somewhat uncertain, as his previous assassination manual contained information about Kakashi, including his Sharingan and ability to copy thousands of ninjutsu.

"Nonsense, humph. Kirigakure is already proficient in assassination techniques. Why would they abandon their fundamentals and engage in a direct confrontation with Kirigakure's techniques?"

Thick wisps of fog drifted by, gradually reducing visibility in the surrounding area.

Kakashi said in a deep voice, "The four of you protect Mr. Tazuna. I'll figure out a way to deal with Zabuza."

Sora nodded, a slight smile on his face, and quietly retreated to Dazna's side.

"Throat, heart, spleen, stomach, kidneys..."

Zabuza's voice echoed in the mist, drifting and elusive, making it impossible to pinpoint his location.

Kakashi raised his headband, his three-tomoe Sharingan spun, and a powerful sense of oppression mixed with killing intent emanated from him, even causing some of the surrounding mist to dissipate.

Sasuke was somewhat terrified. Was this the true strength of a Jonin? Just the killing intent emanating from him made it feel like it was about to be slaughtered.

"Sasuke, don't think nonsense. With Kakashi-sensei here, they can't kill us even if they don't kill us soon," Sora shouted.

[That second brother has really poor mental fortitude. He's impulsive, easily angered, and prone to self-destructive behavior. Go back and find an opportunity to have Kakashi-sensei unleash his killing intent a few more times to provoke him.]

[Sasuke glared at Sora, if it wasn't an emergency, he would have beaten him up now]

"Sasuke, don't overthink things. Be careful of Zabuza's sudden attack. That guy won't dare to go after Kakashi-sensei; he'll only target us recent graduates, the genin."

Zabuza's anger surged again. Ku was now on Zabuza's kill list. Even if he couldn't kill Tazuna today, he would kill Ku.

"You big talker, come out here if you dare. I'll shove your brains into the black kunai and the white kunai."

"You brat, you're asking for it."

"Scatter." Sora grabbed Tazuna and lunged forward, twisting his body forcefully, causing the kunai in his hand to fly out and shoot behind him.

The Executioner's Blade suddenly appeared and blocked the kunai, revealing Zabuza's figure.

Zabuza's first thought was that his Hidden Mist Technique had been seen through; he couldn't think of any other possibility.

"It seems that Zabuza is not only weak, but also somewhat stupid. Even someone like you can survive Kirigakure. This shows how weak Kirigakure is."

"You brat, you're asking for death. How could Kirigakure be so easily guessed?"

Although Zabuza defected, he always cared deeply about Kirigakure and remembered that he was a member of Kirigakure. Unfortunately, the actions of the Fourth Mizukage made him unable to accept it.

Zabuza was unaware that the Fourth Mizukage was previously controlled by the Sharingan, which led to the creation of the Blood Mist policy. Now that the genjutsu has been dispelled, Genji is leading Kirigakure.

"What? How could such a thing happen?"

The narration was so rich in information that Zabuza couldn't believe it—that someone could control the Fourth Mizukage, who was a perfect Jinchūriki.

Kakashi and Sasuke were equally shocked. The Uchiha clan had been wiped out. Besides Sasuke and his brother, only the traitor Itachi remained. However, Kakashi knew that the timeline didn't match up. When Kirigakure implemented the Blood Mist policy, Itachi was still a child.

Chapter Thirty: Showdown

Kakashi and Sasuke kept wondering who possessed such power that they could keep the Fourth Mizukage under a genjutsu for so long without being detected.

"This is easy to guess. The Uchiha clan hasn't had a rogue ninja in nearly thirty years. It's probably someone who went missing during the war but didn't die," Sora said casually.

Kakashi's first thought was of his former comrade, Obito Uchiha, but then he felt it was unlikely. If Obito were still alive, he should have returned to Konoha long ago, and besides, Obito didn't have that kind of strength.

"Kakashi-sensei, now is not the time to miss our comrades. Dealing with Zabuza is the priority."

Zabuza, now that the Blood Mist policy has been lifted, Kirigakure is in dire need of rebuilding. If you go back in time, you might be able to get the title of Mizukage, or at the very least, you could become a captain in Kirigakure.

"Why don't you kill Gato for us, and all the money is yours? You can then return directly to Kirigakure. Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds?"

Zabuza's resolve wavered for a moment, then turned to boundless anger; he had actually been fooled by a child!

"You brat, you're asking for it! You actually instigated me to kill my own employer."

Zabuza understood that once the reputation of killing his employer spread, his name would be ruined in the ninja world, and no one would want to cooperate with someone who had betrayed his trust.

"Zabuza, you still can't let go of your pride. In your heart, your reputation is probably more important than the entire ninja village."

Zabuza couldn't bear the repeated humiliations he received. He was now a rogue ninja, and he couldn't just come back whenever he wanted.

He used his bare feet to propel himself up and leaped backward, the kunai flying out of his hand once more.

The decapitation sword slashed horizontally, knocking the kunai away. Zabuza's second attempt failed.

"Kid, it seems I underestimated you before. You've escaped again."

"You're too foolish. I've already seen through your Mist Concealment Technique. You wanted to use the Mist Concealment Assassination Book to assassinate me. Go back and practice for another two years."

Zabuza vanished into the mist. He didn't think a child like Sora could see through the Hidden Mist Technique. This was an assassination technique that Kirigakure had practiced for many years, and after decades of refinement, it was close to perfection. Unless the assassin was extremely powerful, it was impossible to see through it.

"Hmph, so it was the smell. Although the wasabi bomb you threw earlier didn't hurt me, the smell stuck to me. You used the smell of wasabi to locate me."

Zabuza had a look of certainty on his face.

[Ku had to admit that Zabuza was indeed a bit foolish, taking so long.]

"Hmph, those are just petty tricks."

Zabuza leaped up and plunged into the river, where the water swirled, creating a small whirlpool.

A moment later, a figure emerged from it and disappeared into the mist.

"Kid, my scent has completely disappeared. Your death is imminent."

Kakashi was somewhat annoyed that they were acting as if he didn't exist.

Kakashi stood quietly, and the four members of the team quickly gathered to protect Tazuna once again.

“Zabuza, do you really not consider my suggestion? There’s no need to make enemies of Konoha for the sake of Gato. Kirigakure is in dire need of rebuilding and needs an excellent ninja like you.”

Zabuza's resolve is extremely firm; he cannot be swayed by a few words. This time, he plans to kill Tazuna directly, rather than get entangled with the Konoha ninja.

"Scatter!" Kong shouted.

Zabuza looked at Sora with a puzzled expression, not understanding how Sora knew he was about to appear when he no longer had any scent on him.

Sora naturally wouldn't tell Zabuza that he had always kept Zabuza's true location locked in the system space.

Kakashi moved instantly, as if passing through space, appearing in the same spot where Sora had been, and stabbed Zabuza in the abdomen with a kunai.

As each drop of water fell, Zabuza's figure dissolved into a clump of water and vanished.

Zabuza laughed inwardly. Kakashi would never guess that he was using a water clone. This time, he would kill Kakashi first, and then kill that wretched brat.

"Shut up."

[Zabuza was burning with rage, but before he could even raise his executioner's blade, the narrator revealed its location.]

Kakashi turned around quickly, just as Zabuza swung his Executioner's Blade.

An invisible needle appeared in Zabuza's empty hand at some point, and with a gentle flick, it flew into Zabuza's body.

Zabuza swung his Executioner's Blade at Kakashi, but perhaps due to the excessive force of the swing, he slipped and fell headfirst into Kakashi's body.

Sasuke's pupils contracted sharply. He had experienced the same scene many times before, and it had become a shadow in his heart.

The narrator's words sent a chill down Kakashi's spine.

Seeing the mouth getting closer and closer, Kakashi had a sudden inspiration and kicked out, landing a kick squarely on Zabuza's stomach.

"Boom."

Zabuza's body flew out like a cannonball and fell into the river.

It's a bit of a shame that it's empty. The bromance is definitely a matter of chance. I feel that Naruto and Sasuke have a higher chance.

For powerful ninjas, it is easier to avoid and correct accidents.
