But after taking only two steps, Master Jing Shui suddenly shouted again, "Wait!"

"Stop right there!"

“Turn around!”

Although the monks were somewhat puzzled, they still turned around as instructed, looking at Master Jingshui with some bewilderment.

At this moment, even Master Jing Shui's eyes were trembling slightly.

He staggered a couple of steps and nearly collapsed to the ground.

In his eyes, faint, bright red light appeared on the foreheads of all his disciples.

This is a bloody disaster!

On another hilltop not far away, a bright red kimono fluttered in the wind.

A woman with a graceful figure and stunning beauty stood gazing into the distance.

A series of lights shone from the box in front of her.

"It has already begun."

The ghost girl, Momiji, gave a seductive smirk, then slammed the box shut with a snap.

She gazed at the tiny Mount Takao in the distance and couldn't help but sneer.

"These are all maple leaves stained with my daughter's blood."

"They will explode soon."

"Beneath these billion maple leaves, I'd like to see how you survive?"

Chapter 82 Is there any Buddha available?

On the observation deck.

Red leaves kept drifting up from the mountains, passing over everyone's heads, and dancing into the air.

As time went on, the crimson cloud covering everyone's heads continued to grow, eventually enveloping the entire mountain.

The gaps between them were gradually filled in, and even sunlight could not easily penetrate them.

The sky and earth turned a somber, dark color.

Deep within the unseen crimson clouds, thunderous explosions resounded, shaking the very core of our being.

At this moment, even the tourists on the observation deck vaguely sensed that something was amiss.

The lively discussions, praises, and camera clicks had subsided at some point.

The entire observation deck became eerily quiet.

People's gazes, filled with curiosity, tension, or fear, were all cast toward the crimson clouds overhead.

Boom!

With a deafening roar, a thick, purplish-red beam of fire suddenly erupted from the crimson cloud, whipping through the air like a long snake.

The scorching heat was so intense that it distorted everything it passed through.

This loud bang seemed to be the signal that it was the beginning.

In an instant, all the red leaves became even more vibrant, with a rich red glow flowing within them.

The entire crimson cloud seemed to be on fire, and it began to move.

Seeing this, Master Jing Shui became anxious.

He flung his monk's robe aside and turned around urgently.

"Quickly, Huiyuan and Huitong, take your junior brother and return to the temple immediately. Don't pack any valuables, go straight to Qingzhong!"

Upon hearing this, the two disciples closest to Master Jing Shui were taken aback.

They knew that the "green bell" their master spoke of referred to the enormous ancient bronze bell hanging behind the Medicine King Temple.

According to records, it has been hanging for hundreds of years, yet the bell's sound remains clear and distinct. When struck, the chime resonates throughout the entire Takao Mountain.

Possible

"Master, it's not time to ring the bell yet," Huiyuan asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Fools! Who gave you permission to ring the bell? Quickly put the bell down and take your junior brothers inside!"

Master Jing Shui roared angrily.

Although Yaowang Temple does not sell medicine, it does have some closely guarded secrets.

Only Master Jingshui knew about this matter within the entire Yaowang Temple.

The seemingly ordinary ancient bell that had been hanging behind the temple for hundreds of years was actually a sacred artifact.

Once a person hides inside, they will remain unharmed regardless of any impact the bell may suffer.

This news was passed down orally from generation to generation of abbots.

The reason they refuse to publicize it is because they are afraid of being targeted by people with ulterior motives and attracting unnecessary danger.

However, now it's clear that we can't afford to worry about that anymore.

When disaster strikes, save as many as you can!

Regardless of whether his disciple could understand, Master Jingshui kept urging him, "Did you understand? If you understand, then hurry up and go!"

"Yes!" The two disciples, though they did not understand, could only bow and reply.

"And what about you, host?" Huitong looked up and asked another question.

Master Jing Shui turned his gaze to the approaching red leaves and spoke.

"I'll try to buy some time."

Upon hearing this, Huitong was taken aback. He pointed to the red leaf clouds overhead and felt his mouth go dry.

"Master, could this be a disaster?"

“Not bad,” Master Jing Shui replied in a deep voice, “Go quickly.”

Upon hearing this, Huitong did not move.

The disciples behind him exchanged glances.

Without saying a word, they swarmed forward.

You grab my hands and I'll carry my feet, trying to lift Master Jing Shui onto my shoulders and take him away.

"You unfilial disciples! What are you trying to do?" Master Jingshui shouted sternly, realizing the monks' intentions.

The sound wasn't loud, but to the monks who rushed forward, it was like a resounding bell, making their heads buzz and forcing them to let go of their weapons.

"Hurry up and leave!" Master Jing Shui glared again and urged.

Huiyuan clung to his master's leg, clenching his teeth tightly, and said, "Master, no! What kind of disciple would abandon his master and run away!"

"Moreover, you are the soul of Yakuo-ji Temple, and you alone cannot be harmed!"

Upon hearing this, Master Jingshui immediately revealed a Buddha-like expression: "Foolish disciple, all living beings are but a few, why bother with such things?"

"That's enough. If you are unwilling to leave, then that is your fate. I don't want to say any more."

He then turned around, ignoring the gazes of the disciples behind him, and strode forward with his head held high, chanting Buddhist mantras.

The crowd noticed his arrival and spontaneously parted to make way for him.

Master Jing Shui stood before the cliff, at the spot closest to the clouds of red leaves.

He exhaled a deep breath, slowly closed his palms, and shut his eyes.

He murmured to himself.

A faint wisp of Buddhist light emanated from the palm of his hand.

Combined with his fat head and big ears, he actually had a bit of the demeanor of Maitreya Buddha, giving this palm strike a touch of Buddhist nature.

When the light in his palm was at its brightest, he suddenly opened his eyes and sighed softly.

"The Buddha said, I will not go to hell."

Then, he calmly struck out with his palm towards the overwhelming cloud of red leaves.

A flash of Buddha's light appeared and disappeared.

A few moments later, two or three red leaves fell.

Seeing this, Master Jing Shui nodded calmly.

Hmm, we couldn't penetrate the enemy's armor.

As expected.

As a human being, how could I possibly have the strength to resist such overwhelming power of heaven and earth?

To survive this calamity, either a benevolent bodhisattva happens to pass by, or a Buddha descends to earth.

So, is there any Buddha who has time to come over?

Just consider it a favor to Jing Shui; I'll go back to the temple and burn incense for everyone later!

The immense pressure caused even Master Jing Shui to lose his composure and begin to have wild thoughts.

Suddenly, gasps of surprise rang out from the crowd.

"Host, look!" Huiyuan rushed to his side and excitedly pointed to the sky.

"There are people in the sky!"

what?

Master Jing Shui looked up in surprise.

A dark shadow appeared where the sky met the red leaves.

Although the light was dim and the image was not clear, it was still possible to make out that it was a person's back view.

At this moment, the figure seemed to stand out of thin air, in a posture that would make Newton curse in anger, standing in the sky.

Master Jing Shui was greatly alarmed upon seeing that figure from behind.
