The family strolled down the street, surrounded by bustling traffic and twinkling lights. Their leisurely demeanor almost made them forget they were traveling in a different place.

The hot pot restaurant is called Hongmeiniang. Pushing open the door, you're greeted by a mix of hot pot steam and cool air from the air conditioner.

There were quite a few people inside, and many seats were full.

"Are there any seats available?" Yi Yue asked the waiter.

The waiter said, "Yes, how many people are in your party?"

"Four."

"This way, please." The waiter led them to a table against the wall.

"You can order by scanning the QR code above," the waiter said, pointing to the QR code on the table.

Now, keeping up with the times, you don't even need a menu to order food; you can just scan a QR code to order.

When Yi Yue scanned the QR code with her phone, a pop-up window appeared in her browser, displaying the menu of a hot pot restaurant.

"What kind of soup base would you like?" The waiter recommended, "We have a new nourishing hot pot here, you can try it if you are interested."

Izuki asked Makise, "What kind of pot do you want?"

Makise smiled and said, "Both of us are fine. You can ask your daughter what she wants."

“I want a spicy hot pot!” Rena said, scanning the QR code with her phone.

"Spicy hot pot..." Yi Yue can't handle spicy food.

"What about Yixue?"

Yixue said, "Let's have a nourishing hot pot, I can't handle spicy food very well."

“Rena, drinking these carbonated drinks is bad for your health,” Izuki said.

Reina nodded vigorously, while Izuki sighed and turned to ask Yixue, "What would you like to drink?"

Yi Yue said, "Then get me three cans of herbal tea. It's easy to get a sore throat from drinking hot pot, so I'll just have herbal tea instead."

The waiter nodded, and after a while, pushed a cart and brought the hot pot ingredients and hot pot to the table.

The hot pot has two broths, one side brimming with red chilies, the hot oil bubbling and glistening, instantly whetting the appetite. The other side contains a nourishing broth, made with fish, its aroma enticing and its flavor unmistakable. In the center is a smaller pot of stock.

He then ladled a spoonful of soup for each of Yi Yue and the others; this was meant to be an appetizer.

I took a sip, and it tasted absolutely wonderful. It warmed my stomach, a very pleasant feeling.

The waiter gave a few more introductions, helped Yi Yue put down the other dishes, and then stood at a distance, letting Yi Yue and her friends enjoy their meal.

Rena and Makise love spicy food, and they ate until they were covered in sweat, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Tofu skin, mutton hotpot, and beef balls were kept being added to the pot.

Compared to them, Yi Yueyi ate very elegantly.

Yi Yue ate very slowly, dipping her food in the sauce, blowing on it, and savoring each small bite.

"Dad, here you go!" Reina picked up a piece of tofu skin for Izuki, which she had taken out of the spicy hot pot.

Yi Yue hates spicy food, but his daughter put it on his plate, so he had no choice but to grit his teeth and take a bite.

"Cough cough cough." Yi Yue coughed, unable to eat, and picked up a cup of herbal tea and took a few sips.

"Dad, here you go." Yixue ladled a bowl of soup for Yiyue and added a few slices of mutton and beef balls.

"Mmm." Yi Yue nodded and took a sip of soup.

Yi Xue watched Yi Yue drink the soup quietly, her face slightly flushed, and she smiled.

"Cough cough cough..." Rena ate too much spicy food and felt uncomfortable and itchy in her throat.

"It's so spicy!" Rena wanted to drink cola, but she had already finished hers.

Izuki immediately poured a bowl of soup for Rena, but Rena ignored it and gulped down the half-finished herbal tea that Izuki had drunk.

"Rena." Itsuki said helplessly.

Rena let out a breath: "Phew, I'm alive again." Looking at Izuki, she stuck out her tongue and said, "What does it matter?"

"That's not very hygienic. Can't we just ask the waiter for another bottle?" Yi Yue said.

Reina pouted, "It's so spicy, I don't care about anything else. I don't mind Daddy's saliva." Seeing Izuki's expression, she grinned and said, "Does Daddy mind? Doesn't Mommy eat Daddy's saliva every day?"

"Cough cough." Yi Yue coughed.

Makise blushed slightly and angrily tapped Rena on the head: "Don't talk nonsense! You have no manners!"

Rena immediately covered her head and dodged away, "Hehe, I'm not that stupid, I wouldn't keep hitting your heads."

Rena's precocious nature prompted Makise to look at Itsuki with a resentful gaze.

Izuki is in an awkward position; it's really giving me a headache.

"Reina..." Itsuki said angrily.

"Moon." Makise smiled, placing a few pieces of meat in Izuki's bowl. "Remember your punishment."

Makise said in a voice only Itsuki could hear, "Itsuki, beg me."

Yi Yue blushed and glanced at Ling Nai Yi Xue, then quickly whispered, "Please."

"Hmm." Makise whispered in Izuki's ear, "Then I'll save you some face in front of our daughter." They parted ways.

Rena asked curiously, "What is it?"

Makise laughed and said, "I'll tell you later."

"In the future?!" Itsuki stared wide-eyed at Makise.

Makise just smiled.

"A perverse sense of humor." Yi Yue pursed her lips and lowered her head.

"Tch, keep me in suspense! I don't want to know!" Rena pouted, looking at Izuki's blushing face, and teased, "Daddy, why is your face red?" She stood up and poked Izuki's cheek: "Or is it some kind of embarrassing punishment?"

"Eh." Itsuki blushed guiltily, unsure of what to say in the face of Reina's teasing.

"Hehe, I guessed right." Rena blushed and laughed nonstop. Letting loose, she imagined many embarrassing scenarios in her mind.

Izuki looked embarrassed and pleaded for help from Makise.

Makise watched with interest as Rena teased Itsuki, and laughed when Itsuki looked at her for help: "I just have a weird sense of humor."

When Yi Yue was at a loss, Yi Xue stepped forward and said with a smile, "Mom was just joking with Dad. Everyone's watching you, aren't you ashamed at all?"

Rena stood up and spoke so loudly that people at the next table turned to look at her.
