How to raise a father who is overly controlling of his daughter

Rena glanced at the sizzling sausage, then at the gluten on Yixue's plate.

"Hmph, Daddy still loves me. You go eat your gluten!" Rena thought smugly to herself.

Looking at the sizzling, fragrant sausages on the plate, Rena was incredibly tempted.

"Ugh, I can only look, not eat!" Rena pouted sadly. It would take a long time for Izuki to finish grilling, and now she had to wait for the skewers to cool down after grilling.

"What a pain!" Rena complained. "Why do they use metal skewers for grilling?!"

"Okay," Yi Yue reassured, then suddenly had an idea and called out to a passing waiter, "Excuse me, do you have any tongs for picking things up?"

"Haha, it's nothing." Faced with her daughter's praise, Izuki was happy but a little embarrassed. She smiled and suddenly realized that Reina was focused on eating barbecue and was ignoring Izuki.

"Really." Itsuki was exasperated and annoyed, and then hurriedly reminded Rena, "Don't eat so fast. They're hot right out of the grill, even without skewers. It's best to blow on them and let them cool down before eating."

Yixue smiled as she looked at Rena Izuki.

"Hehe." Yixue curled the corners of her lips, her thoughts unknown.

The barbecue was finished quickly.

As Izuki was about to get up to get the barbecue, Reina stopped her, saying, "No need, I'll get it. Dad, grill the rest of the skewers." With that, she dashed out.

Yixue smiled and stood up, saying to Yiyue, "Dad, you've finished your drink. Let me get you one too."

"Oh, okay, thank you for your help." Yi Yue smiled, her forehead was sweaty, and as she was about to wipe it with her arm, Yi Xue took out a wet wipe and wiped the sweat from Yi Yue's forehead.

"Dad, you've worked hard," Yixue said softly.

Yi Yue said happily, "It's not hard work." She was happy because she felt her daughters were enjoying their meal.

“I really like this about Dad.” Yi Xue gently hugged Yi Yue from behind.

"It's alright," Yixue said with a smile, picking up her and Yiyue's cups and going to the front to pour two glasses of juice.

After pouring the juice, Yixue held Yiyue's glass in her right hand and her own glass in her left.

Linnai came back first, and Yixue came after Linnai.

"Let's put it away first." Itsuki told Rena to move the grilled food further away, so that her arms and clothes wouldn't touch it.

"Dad, here you go." Yixue smiled and placed her own cup in front of Yiyue, then took Yiyue's cup in her hand.

"Oh, I was just a little thirsty, thank you," Yi Yue said with a smile, taking a sip of juice.

Yi Xue curled up the corners of her mouth, her smile growing even brighter, and took a sip from the cup in her hand.

Seeing that Yi Yue didn't notice, Yi Xue blushed slightly with excitement, lowered her head, and put the juice aside.

They grilled many more skewers, and Rena ate with great gusto, her little mouth dripping with oil, seemingly still tireless and not yet full.

Yi Xue was enjoying her meal. Looking at Yi Yue, who was barbecuing, she suddenly remembered that Yi Yue hadn't eaten much yet, having only eaten a little bit of cooked food.

Chapter Sixty-Two: A Headache

"Is there any need to say more? It's definitely because I baked it better." Yixue said confidently with a smile.

"Rua, yeah, it's because I did a good job!" Rena stuck out her tongue.

Without further ado, the two of them immediately started grilling.

Yi Yue, who was watching from the side, noticed something amiss, but said nothing. She assumed it was just a normal little squabble between children and didn't realize they were arguing about whose barbecue was the best for their father.

"It's time to brush on the oil," Izuki reminded Rena, noting that the grill was getting a bit charred.

"It's time to add the sauce," Yi Yue reminded Yi Xue again.

They reminded each other, and after five or six minutes, the two of them finally finished grilling.

Both of them grilled the same things. Each person got two skewers of gluten, one skewer of sausage and meatballs, and one skewer of chicken drumsticks.

After placing the grilled barbecue in front of Yiyue, Lingna and Yixue said in unison, "Dad, let's see who makes the best barbecue!" Then, they glared at each other defiantly.

"Okay," Yi Yue reassured, glancing at the food that Yi Xue and Ling Nai had baked.

Rena's food was a little burnt; there was a black layer on top.

Yixue's baking was quite impressive, golden brown and glistening with oil.

"Daddy, eat mine first!" Rena said, forcing Itsuki to eat hers first.

Seeing Izuki take a bite of her barbecue, Rena quickly asked, "How is it? How is it?" Her eyes widened as she asked eagerly and excitedly.

Izuki's face twitched slightly, unnaturally. Reina's grilling was burnt, bitter, salty, and spicy. The taste was so strong that she wanted to vomit it up immediately after eating it.

But seeing Rena's eager and hopeful eyes, Itsuki forced herself to swallow, smiled and patted Rena's head, saying, "Very good, just remember to brush on the oil next time, don't burn it, and it would be even better if you put less seasoning."

Hearing Yiyue praise her, Reina smiled happily and said proudly to Yixue, "Did you hear that? Daddy said my cooking was delicious!"

Yi Xue scoffed. "They're all burnt, and you don't even know how bad they are? And you still think they're delicious?"

Yixue smiled helplessly.

"Dad, how is it?" Yixue asked confidently.
