How to raise a father who is overly controlling of his daughter

Rena swallowed it whole and chewed slowly.

"Sweet, isn't it?" Yi Yue smiled. He had bought the pears specially this morning and even tasted one himself; they were very juicy and sweet.

"Want another piece?"

After Rena finished eating, Itsuki put down her toothpick and asked softly.

"No! It doesn't taste good!" Rena refused, turning her head to the side.

"Eat a few more pieces. You only know how to eat greasy food every day. What if you get a sore throat?" Izuki kindly advised. Reina only knows how to eat snacks and greasy food every day and rarely eats fruits and vegetables.

"No!" Rena refused outright, blinking her small eyes. She secretly longed for the scene of Itsuki feeding her, bringing fruit to her lips, and her reluctantly accepting it only after much pleading. She couldn't help but chuckle to herself.

Yi Yue was helpless; he knew Reina's temper. If she said she wouldn't eat, she wouldn't eat.

"Looks like I need to work on lunch and dinner." Yi Yue thought to herself that she wanted to make lunch and dinner both nutritious and delicious, otherwise things couldn't go on like this.

He sighed, picked up the plate, and prepared to leave.

Rena panicked; this wasn't what she expected.

My dad usually tries to persuade me with all his might, so why is he leaving now after only a few words of persuasion?

"Dad!" Reina hurriedly called out to Izuki.

"What's wrong?" Yi Yue turned around curiously. "Is something the matter?"

Rena's face was flushed pink as she rubbed her hair. She hesitated for a moment before speaking, then murmured softly, "It's nothing."

"Huh?" Izuki was confused by Reina and gave her a strange look: "What's wrong?"

Could it be that you're feeling unwell somewhere?

"It's okay!" Rena bit her lip, shook her little feet, her snow-white little feet moving around, as if she really wanted to grab them and gently lick them with her tongue, watching her owner's shy expression.

Izuki immediately ran over and touched Rena's forehead. "It's not hot." She asked worriedly, "Are you feeling unwell?"

Seeing Rena's embarrassed expression, Izuki guessed that it might be someone who had come.

Rena is only 12 years old, it can't be this early.

Looking at Rena with a strange gaze, Rena blushed with embarrassment and angrily slapped away the hand that Izuki had placed on her forehead.

"Idiot, what are you thinking!" Rena cursed inwardly, blushing as she glared at Izuki.

Yi Yue felt innocent; she was just concerned about her, so why was she so angry?

Rena, feeling utterly hopeless, gaped with her mouth agape.

Itsuki was at a loss.

Rena said irritably, "Feed me!"

"Oh." It was only then that Izuki realized what was happening, and went to feed Reina.

Rena whispered, "Dad is so stupid. I'm so smart, it must be because of Mom. Otherwise, if I were like Dad, that would be terrible."

"Eat slowly." Izuki told Rena to chew the food thoroughly before swallowing, as it's bad for her stomach. "Didn't you say you weren't going to eat?"

"I..." Rena blushed slightly, "Can't I eat it!" Her voice became softer, and she turned her face to the side, her little face pink and rosy, making one want to kiss her.

Yi Yue smiled and said, "It's good that Reina is eating fruit. Why worry so much?"

The plate of fruit was slowly finished.

Rena doesn't usually like eating fruit, but now, as she's been eating it, she's starting to find it quite delicious, with a sweet taste.

She didn't know that Yi Yue had specially gone to a shop in the market to buy it.

The fruit in that shop is all fresh, picked right from the countryside and transported to the city.

Although it's far from home and expensive, it really tastes sweet and delicious.

Rena lay contentedly on the back of the chair, patting her tummy. She felt so happy and relaxed, knowing someone was feeding her instead of her own. Thinking this, she couldn't help but let out a satisfied burp.

"Ugh!" Rena's face flushed red instantly, and she glanced furtively at Itsuki. She felt incredibly silly for burping like that.

When Yi Yue heard Reina burp, he chuckled and patted Reina's head, finding her extremely cute.

Rena trembled slightly, and when she saw the smile on Izuki's face, her face turned bright red.

"Dad, hurry up and leave, don't bother me while I'm doing my homework!" Rena was extremely embarrassed, got up and pushed Izuki, trying to get him out.

"Huh?" Izuki didn't understand why Reina was in such a hurry to kick her out, since everything was fine just now. "Wait, my plate..."

"Take it away quickly!" Rena shoved the plate into Izuki's hands.

Izuki couldn't persuade Rena otherwise, so she had no choice but to go out. Looking at the closed door, Izuki sighed helplessly.

I washed the dishes, made myself a cup of milk, sat on the sofa in the living room, looked at the recipe, and wanted to cook a nutritious and delicious meal for my daughter.

The takeout food was greasy, with lots of meat and fish, which Yi Yue didn't like at first glance. Her two daughters were still growing; how could she feed them takeout every day?

So Yiyue made up her mind to learn how to cook and humbly asked Aunt Xia for advice.

The dishes I made at first were either a little burnt or undercooked, but they got better and better as I made them.

Aunt Xia was surprised that Yi Yue learned so quickly.

Reina Yixue was initially afraid to eat Yiyue's cooking, feeling it was terrible. However, after two weeks, the dishes became quite decent, and after cautiously taking a bite, she couldn't stop. Gradually, she came to like Yiyue's cooking and abandoned Aunt Xia.

"Aunt Xia's cooking is terrible, Dad's cooking is much better!" Rena said proudly, holding up her chopsticks.

Aunt Xia rolled her eyes, thinking to herself, "Which kid said Dad's cooking is terrible? I want to eat Aunt Xia's cooking."

Yi Yue's cooking skills improved more and more, and seeing her daughters enjoying their meals made her happy too. Whenever she had free time, she would look at recipes and cook new dishes for her daughters.

After all, they are very tired from studying, so at least we should satisfy their needs in terms of food.

Just thinking about Reina and Izuki's smiles made Izuki smile involuntarily.

Chapter Seven: Dad Believes in You

Inside the room, the fan was whirring.

Yixue had an assignment to do: dictate English words.

She was about to stand up and go out to call Yi Yue in for a dictation test, but then stopped herself, saying, "It's so late now, let's not disturb Dad."

"I'll memorize it a bit more myself, and then I'll write it all down from memory later." Yi Xue didn't want to bother Yi Yue with such a small matter, so she focused on memorizing the words at the back of her English book.

Rena encountered the same problem and immediately ran out to call Izuki.

"Dad, can you help me with my dictation?"

"Huh?" Yi Yue had just finished showering and was brushing her teeth in the bathroom, wearing a white nightgown.

Upon hearing Rena call him, he immediately rinsed his mouth and washed his face, then ran out quickly.

"What's wrong?" Yi Yue's hair was still wet; she had only wiped it with a towel and hadn't had time to dry it with a hairdryer.

"Dad, help me with my dictation," Rena said, grabbing Izuki's hand and leading him into the room. She sniffed, noticing a faint, pleasant fragrance emanating from Izuki. She couldn't help but press herself against him.

Unaware of Rena's subtle movements, Izuki followed her into the room.

Rena moved a chair for Itsuki to sit down.

"Where is the dictation?" Itsuki asked, noticing Reina staring blankly at him.

"Hmm?" Yi Yue tilted her head, a gesture that was a bit childish.

“Dad, you’re so cute,” Rena blurted out.

"Eh, eh, eh." Itsuki's face turned slightly red, and Reina's words left him somewhat at a loss.

Was I being flirted with by my daughter?

Feeling a little happy for some reason, Izuki coughed and tried to appear serious, then patted Rena's head: "Rena is cute too."

"Not as cute as Daddy." Rena stuck out her tongue. "Has anyone ever said that Daddy looks like a girl?"

"Uh." Izuki paused for a moment, then straightened her face and lightly tapped Rena's head with her finger: "You have no manners."

"Is Daddy shy?" Rena rubbed her hair, she liked teasing Izuki a little.

It's because he always makes fun of himself!

"Ahem!" Izuki pretended to be unhappy, her face slightly flushed, and gave Reina a disgruntled look: "Are you going to do the dictation or not? If not, I'm going back to my room!"

"Listen to it!" Rena giggled mischievously.

"Listen to this, and this too!" Rena pointed to several pages of vocabulary words at the back of the Chinese textbook, covering four whole units.

There are five lessons in one unit.

Yi Yue complained, "There's so much, how long will it take to listen to all of this? Why didn't you let me help you with the dictation earlier?"

"I forgot?" Rena stuck out her tongue.

Seeing this, Yi Yue said helplessly, "Then I'll start the dictation. The first word is 'steep'."

"Wait, wait, I haven't gotten my paper yet." Rena rummaged through her schoolbag.

"Let me do the dictation, shouldn't you prepare the paper first?" Izuki sighed, wondering when Rena would ever get rid of her careless habit.

“Alright!” Rena said.

“Steep,” Izuki repeated, waiting for Rena to say it was okay before reading the next one.

"Taotie." Izuki read the second unit aloud, repeating "Taotie" three times, then asked Reina, "Are you done?"

"Wait a minute." Rena was clearly stumped, not knowing how to write the characters for "Taotie".
