……
Following the direction of the sound, he quickly saw a shop with a "Flourish and Blotts" sign not far away, a large group of people, where two adult men were punching each other in the most primitive and exciting way, seemingly forgetting their identity as wizards.
One of them was none other than Lucius Malfoy, whom he had only recently parted ways with, and the other, a slightly overweight fellow, was undoubtedly Arthur Weasley.
Considering the location of the fight and Gilderoy Lockhart's book signing event, it's not hard to guess the current timeframe: when the second semester's secret chamber begins.
Gazing at the slightly thin boy with glasses at the back of the crowd, Zhang Cheng's eyes flashed with a sharp light, and he muttered to himself in a voice only he could hear, "Aha! I've finally met you, the famous Harry Potter."
"Sir, your pet."
"Thank you!"
He tossed two Galleons to the other man, then quickly left the pet shop. Taking advantage of everyone's attention being drawn to the fight, he silently approached the boy and reached out to touch the soul fragment hidden inside the lightning scar on his forehead.
In a mere instant!
He then understood the power and terror of this necromancy.
To create or clone another self by tearing apart one's own soul, memories, and personality is simply a genius idea.
However, the corresponding costs are also very obvious, especially the instability caused by the separation of the soul, which will have a series of unpredictable effects on personality, behavior, and habits.
Before Zhang Cheng could figure out if this pursuit of immortality was similar to Faust's, the half-giant Hagrid finally arrived, using his brute strength to charge into the crowd and forcibly separate the two fighters.
"Damn it! Looks like I have to get out of here." Zhang Cheng sighed helplessly, hiding in the crowd as he watched the Weasleys leave with Harry Potter.
After the crowd of onlookers gradually dispersed, he approached Lucius and asked with a half-smile, "Why did you do this?"
"What?" Lucius tried to play dumb and get away with it.
"That diary! The Dark Lord's diary! Don't think I didn't see it. You slipped it into the Weasleys' youngest daughter's hands." Zhang Cheng bluntly exposed the other person's little secret.
Upon hearing this plan, Lucius's expression changed several times before finally revealing a bitter smile: "It seems nothing can escape your notice, can it?"
"I'm waiting for your explanation!"
"It's simple! I want to remove Dumbledore from his position as Headmaster of Hogwarts. He's held power for too long and has been trying to suppress us pure-blood nobles. Now, many families have expressed their dissatisfaction, and I'm just giving him a push..."
Chapter 0731 Creation
Power, wealth, fame, strength...
These are all things that people subconsciously crave most, and can even be said to be the goals that most people pursue throughout their lives.
As the most influential wizard in the British magical world, Albus Dumbledore was undoubtedly a prominent figure at the pinnacle of his era, even more powerful and prestigious than the Minister of Magic.
But as the saying goes, power is like a cake; some people eat more, and the rest naturally eat less.
This is why, throughout the entire story, Albus Dumbledore is constantly targeted by various conspiracies, whether from the Malfoy family, represented by pure-blood nobles, or from bureaucrats of the British Ministry of Magic.
The reason is simple: he practically blocked everyone's path to advancement, making him a target of public criticism. If it weren't for his own superior strength, he would probably have died countless times over.
So Zhang Cheng wasn't surprised at all that Lucius wanted to remove the old man from his position as headmaster of Hogwarts.
However, he didn't believe that such underhanded tactics could truly shake Dumbledore's position. He simply returned to Malfoy Manor with a "let's see what happens" attitude and continued his research.
It wasn't until the last day of school that he called the boy to his side and asked, feigning seriousness, "Draco, I heard that you had a conflict with a boy named Harry Potter at school and that you repeatedly embarrassed the Malfoy family. Is that true?"
“Yes, sir. Potter and his friends have always gone against me, and even look down on pure-blood nobles. I’ve sworn that one day I’ll make him regret his choice,” the boy replied through gritted teeth.
After spending more than half a month together, he had grown to respect and admire this mysterious tutor, because the tutor had made his spellcasting skills improve by leaps and bounds in a very short period of time.
Especially the elemental magic spells that are simple to use and don't waste much magic power, if used well, can make even a sixth or seventh-grade prefecture suffer.
More importantly, through repeated battles with illusions, he accumulated rich combat experience, knowing when to dodge and when to use protective magic, far surpassing the experience of his peers who had never experienced real combat.
"So, when you get back to school, you plan to teach Mr. Potter a lesson?" Zhang Cheng tapped the table lightly, his eyes revealing an unfathomable light.
“That’s right! What, you don’t allow it?” Draco’s pale face showed a hint of nervousness.
After all, half of the reason he practiced so hard was out of hatred for a boy who had survived a great ordeal (or rather, another form of love).
Zhang Cheng smiled and shook his head: "No, of course I won't interfere. Intense emotions are a powerful force, and even more so, a driving force and source of strength. But I have one requirement: the victory must be fair and square, a beautiful victory, a victory that leaves the opponent speechless. Tell me, can you do that?"
"Of course! I can definitely do it!" Draco assured him firmly.
He firmly believed that with his current level of spellcasting and magic, even if Harry Potter and his friends joined forces, they would ultimately only taste defeat.
“Very good! To ensure you keep your promise, I will leave a small monitoring spell on you. Remember, if you fail, you will be severely punished.” With that, Zhang Cheng raised his supreme authority and shot a beam of silver light into the boy’s body.
"I will not fail! I will return with honor and victory!"
Young Malfoy had no idea what the spell's true purpose was. Full of confidence, he bowed, turned around, picked up his luggage, and headed to Station Nine and Three-Quarters to board the Hogwarts Express back to school and begin his new school year of boarding life.
He had barely left for a minute when the supreme divine authority erupted in a piercing laugh: "Hahahaha! What an naive little thing! He actually believed you had good intentions? Unbelievable! Are people in this world really that simple?"
"Shut up! Have you forgotten that you can't speak without my permission?" Zhang Cheng reprimanded expressionlessly.
"I apologize, Your Majesty and Evil Master, I simply couldn't help myself. If I'm not mistaken, your plan is to seize control of that child's body at a specific time and then conduct some secret research and experiments, right?" The Supreme Authority's tone was filled with naked malice.
“You guessed it! I’m very interested in the fragment of soul left in Harry Potter’s scar. But there’s no rush, we have plenty of time. Before that, let’s try to create an intelligent life form with independent consciousness, as planned.”
As he spoke, Zhang Cheng turned his gaze to the white ferret in the cage in the corner of the room.
The latter was undoubtedly very intelligent and sensitive. It instantly sensed the cold glint in its owner's eyes and immediately began to jump around and frantically tear at the cage in an attempt to escape.
Before it could even come out of the cage, Zhang Cheng approached, opened the cage, placed it on the dissection table that had been prepared beforehand, and picked up a gleaming scalpel.
The little ferret was terrified, whimpering incessantly, its two black eyes pleading.
"Relax! Pain and death are temporary! I will grant you new life and great strength!" Zhang Cheng said as he ruthlessly slashed open the other's soft abdomen, revealing the internal organs and flesh inside.
"Give me tree root grass!"
He ignored the white sable's pained and distressed reaction and directly issued an order to the supreme authority.
Without a word, this artifact, disguised as an ordinary magic wand, quickly found the necessary materials, conjured a magical energy hand out of thin air, and handed it to its master.
In no time, Zhang Cheng had emptied almost all of the white mink's internal organs, even its brain, and then replaced the original muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic system with a network of strange plants.
Even more terrifying is that the small animal never died and remained fully conscious throughout the entire ordeal.
Once everything was done, it could no longer be called a simple animal, but a life form that was half plant and half animal.
Its interior is entirely composed of plants, so it not only does not need to eat, but it can also accumulate life energy through photosynthesis and release some interesting natural magic.
However, Zhang Cheng was not satisfied with his creation. After checking it several times, he began to inject a large amount of creative power, wanting to see if it could cause any interesting changes.
In less than five minutes, the plant veins within the white sable's body contracted rapidly, releasing a green glow unique to natural energy, as if it were nurturing something...
Chapter 0732 Conflict Inside the Train Car
One minute……
Two minutes...
Five minutes...
As time ticked by, Zhang Cheng's patience was gradually worn down, but the plant emitting a green glow remained completely unchanged.
Half an hour later, he finally frowned and muttered to himself, "Damn it! Could this experiment have failed?"
"No! It hasn't failed yet, my esteemed master. The life you created is still alive; it just needs some time to hatch," the supreme authority quickly declared.
“Living doesn’t mean there are no failures! You should know very well that my experiment this time was trying to create a complex plant neural network that could replace the mammalian nervous system. But look at it now, it seems to have no reaction to external stimuli at all,” Zhang Cheng explained in a rather impatient tone.
Finding a test subject capable of withstanding pure arcane energy and creative power is no easy feat. He searched around the Diagon Alley pet store before finally managing to acquire this white ferret.
Unfortunately, the white ferret clearly failed to complete the task it was supposed to perform.
Just as Zhang Cheng was about to use powerful magic to clear away this thing that he couldn't tell whether to call it a plant or an animal, the plant's veins, which had been curled up into a ball, suddenly opened up slowly, and a vine stretched out from the middle, with a violet bud at the end.
Before he could even react to what was happening, the flower bud suddenly burst open, revealing the seed of life hidden within.
This seed is as big as a walnut and radiates a brilliant green glow!
The instant it landed on the table!
With a snap, it shattered, and a small mink made entirely of energy jumped out, its pupils revealing a look of awe and fear.
Upon witnessing this, the supreme authority immediately burst into laughter and exclaimed, "Incredible! Great master! You have actually elevated an animal to the status of a spirit of nature! This is something that many gods have been unable to accomplish!"
"Shut up! Don't disturb my thoughts!" Zhang Cheng shouted, then quickly reached out and grabbed the trembling little guy.
The spirit of nature, as the name suggests, is a special life form that is born in nature through a series of coincidences.
They could be animals that have broken through their own limits, ancient plants affected by energy, or even spirits and elements.
In short, the spirit of nature is the result of a specific environment and countless coincidences, and theoretically cannot be brought about by human intervention.
As for the strength of the spirits of nature, the strongest are almost comparable to gods, while the weakest are like this little mink in front of us, who can be crushed with a flick of a finger.
In fact, the wild demigods living in the world of Azeroth can all be classified as spirits of nature.
"Tell me, little thing, what exactly have you been through?" Zhang Cheng narrowed his eyes, revealing a chilling smile.
……
Meanwhile, on the Hogwarts Express, Draco was pacing alone in the carriage, trying to find his nemesis, Harry Potter, and teach him a lesson.
Unfortunately, after searching all the carriages, he couldn't find Potter anywhere, and even his annoying sidekick Ron was nowhere to be seen.
Clearly, for a twelve-year-old boy who harbors a grudge and cannot stay overnight, this is the cruelest torture in the world.
Left with no other choice, Malfoy went straight to Hermione's carriage and coldly demanded, "Granger! Where's Potter? He's not hiding because he's scared of me, is he?!"
"Afraid of you? Are you kidding me? I seem to remember that last semester when you two faced off, you were the one who lost every time." The girl was clearly not one to be trifled with either, and immediately launched into a sarcastic remark without holding back.
Not only her, but the other Gryffindor students sitting in the carriage also joined in the commotion.
After all, their conflict with the Slytherin students was nothing new; it was practically an old feud. So, they would never let go of any opportunity to mock the other side.
But what these students didn't know was that Draco was no longer the child who only knew how to play tricks, but a wizard who had learned a lot of elemental magic and combat experience.
Although still very immature, it already has its own fangs.
Without any hesitation!
He drew his wand, pointed it at the girl laughing the loudest, and roared, "Trembling Shock!"
Snapped!
A blinding spark of electricity erupted from the tip of the wand, striking the target directly.
