Tannis was immediately alarmed. If something went wrong with the thing they were making, she figured she wouldn't even need a proper burial plot—she'd be completely obliterated!

"Don't worry, daughter. I've calculated the blueprints you gave me. The reason there are so many requirements on the blueprints is because the materials and energy intensity in the Celestial Realm can't compare to those in Azeroth. In Azeroth, this is the only way to achieve the highest efficiency. I don't want to create this thing and only be able to produce less than a hundred small compressed energy blocks a day!!"

With that, Gazlowe put the outer casing back on, threw the cooling pipes into the sea, connected the power source, and then pressed the switches one by one.

As he moved, the entire machine seemed to have eaten something, jumping up and down, with white gas constantly billowing from its chimney, indicating that the thing was operating at full capacity.

"Excellent, excellent, everything is fine!"

Although all the pointers were hovering around the red line, Gazlowe remained completely unfazed. In the eyes of the goblins, this pointer was only for 'cowardly races'; real men should go all out!

"..."

Tanis hid behind a huge block of iron, unable to speak.

"Now, I'm going to pass on to you a famous saying of our goblins! Remember it, daughter! This saying represents the pinnacle of goblin technology!!!"

Gazlowe laughed wildly and slammed the power switch on.

"Goblin technology! Absolutely stunning!!!"

8. Adventurers of Ratchet

"I swear... next time before I collaborate with you on making something, Dad... I'll plan a safe escape route first... ugh..."

Tennys lay next to the large steel block, vomiting violently. The noise and strong vibrations generated by the energy crystal compression device operating at full capacity were simply too much for her small body to withstand!

"I'm so sorry...daughter...I forgot you're not seven years old yet...but! We succeeded! Look! We've replicated the key foundation of many technologies in your mind—the ultra-miniature compressed energy block! This thing can not only be used in your technologies, but it can also bring about unimaginable innovations in many things!!"

With trembling hands, Gazlowe picked up one after another of the tiny, almost completely transparent cubes from the discharge port, allowing the soft light to pass through them. His tone was unusually excited—not the excitement of making a lot of money, but the happiness of a researcher seeing a new world open up!

"Yes, yes, yes... but Dad, could you reduce the machine's load a bit? I have a feeling it's going to explode any second!"

Finally, under Tennys's pressure, Gazlowe had to reduce the machine's load by about half, turning the machine that produced the 'colorless small crystals' Tennys mentioned from jumping around and emitting white smoke into stable operation.

"Alright, daughter, I've gotten the machine working smoothly as you requested. Now..."

In a state of heightened excitement, Gazlowe picked up the wrench again.

"Let's use these cute little gadgets to make a bunch of bumper cars that will surprise those fishmen!!!"

"That's right, Dad."

Tennys, whose condition had almost fully recovered, also picked up the screwdriver.

Let's join forces and give them a hearty BBQ!

————————————Underground dividing line——————————————————

King Murloc of the Dark Tide Fishmen was extremely satisfied with his plan.

As the third king of the Dark Tide Murloc tribe, Murgamk was smarter than his father and more cunning than his grandfather. As a result, he successfully eliminated all his 'less reliable' brothers and sisters and took the throne.

At the beginning of his reign, M'Gamk thought the crisscrossing underground waterways were the whole world, until one day he encountered a strange creature that was tall, had dark skin, a pair of slightly glowing eyes, and skin that had no scales at all.

M'gamk led his tribe in an attack on the creature, and then... it was taken prisoner along with its guards.

However, the strange creature did not kill it, but instead communicated with it in a very broken fish-man language. Although many words were mispronounced and some phrases were problematic, Murgamk managed to understand the origin of this strange creature.

He was a druid whose name was a bit difficult to pronounce in Murloc language. His purpose was to investigate the ecology of the underground water system in the Barrens. The existence of his own Murloc tribe was a very valuable discovery for him, so he wanted to learn more about his tribe.

So the cunning Murgamk pretended to be compliant and tried every means to extract information from this 'strongman' about why he was so strong, but Murgamk still didn't understand the source of his power until the druid left.

Undeterred, Mugamuk sent his tribe's most skilled stealthy murlocs to follow the druid for a long time. Then, he learned something...

What I thought was the whole world turned out to be so small...

So, M'gamk mobilized its tribe to desperately search for caves or rifts that could lead to the surface world. After sacrificing countless tribe members, it finally gained a deeper understanding of the 'world above'.

One of the things I learned was that there are many good things in the world above, but they need to be exchanged for something shiny, and this shiny thing can hardly be found in the water.

Just when it didn't know what to do, a fishman told it some news—a crack led to a cave on the ground, and inside the cave were many, many shiny things!

After confirming the information was accurate, Murgamk did not hesitate to mobilize all the prophets and tidebearers in his tribe to go to that place. They used their power to strengthen several murloc warriors, concealed their presence with the power of water, and commanded them to move all the glitter away.

'Next, I can use these shiny things to exchange for lots and lots of good things, and then lead my tribe to the world above, to rule over those foolish fellows who don't know how to submit to M'gamk!'

So, M'Gamk moved his throne to the pile of gold coins they had stolen from Ratchet and began to daydream. In his dream, he gained immense power, led his tribe to conquer the world, and enslaved all other races.

—————————————Ratchet, Gazlowe's Mansion—————————————————

Three days after the bounty was offered...

In the most luxurious mansion in Ratchet, Gazlowe sat comfortably in his chair, looking at the ten adventurers of different races standing in front of him. Tanis sat beside him, looking very ladylike.

"Gentlemen, the reason I have summoned you here today is because you are the most trustworthy adventurers in Ratchet, and therefore, I have a task for you."

The adventurers below did not speak immediately. They knew that a mission personally issued by a lord of Ratchet like Gazlowe must be a high-risk, high-reward mission. Adventurers do indeed live on the edge, but the principle of "better to live than die" is also their motto.

Sure enough, what Gazlowe said next made most of them want to turn around and leave.

“My dearest daughter, Tanya, has discovered a passage into the lair of those damned merfolk, and she is eager to prove that this passage meets my requirements. Therefore, I have decided to give her the opportunity to prove it.”

With that, Gazlowe placed his hands on the armrests and stood up from his chair.

"I wish to hire you to protect my daughter as she travels to the place she has discovered, to follow her deep into the murloc lair, and to determine whether it is safe for the main force of Ratchet to pass through. Of course, the reward will be satisfactory. So, which of you is willing to take on this mission?"

9. The Deployment of Ratchet

Ratchet, Fish and Wine Bar.

This small bar is located in a sea-breezy alley by the port of Ratchet. Although it is inconspicuous, it attracts many people to drink every day.

The bar owner was a man around 40 years old with a full beard, known as One-Eyed Domi. His prematurely graying hair hinted at the hardships he had endured in his youth, and his scarred hands spoke of the many joys and sorrows he had experienced.

The boss comes from the Eastern Kingdoms, from the Arathi Highlands. Many years ago, his village was attacked by forest trolls. Although he managed to crawl out of a pile of corpses, he lost one of his eyes and his family forever.

When Domi was feeling lost about the future, he encountered a goblin from Booty Bay. From the goblin, Domi learned that a small town was under construction across the sea. So, Domi used all his remaining wealth to buy a ticket and left Arathi Highlands, the place that had caused him so much pain, forever.

Dockworkers, cleaners, construction workers...

To forget his sorrowful past, Domi worked tirelessly, filling his mind with labor. When he felt he had made a decent living, he had earned a considerable amount of money. At this time, due to the orc invasion, some refugees also arrived in Ratchet by boat from Booty Bay.

Domi felt he might be able to do something, so he used his own money to buy a small bar and started a small business. Because of his fair prices and his skill in cooking seafood and making pancakes, his bar gradually gained some fame.

However, as the war came to an end, the number of customers at Domi's bar began to decline slowly, but One-Eyed Domi didn't care, as he had enough money to live on by himself.

Today, Domi is still running the bar.

"A glass of ale, a salted fish pie, and some cheese."

An adventurer wearing grayish leather armor walked into the bar, found a seat against the wall, unfastened the sword from his back and placed it where he could easily reach it, and sat down.

"Rusty Sword, why did you come back alone?"

Domi asked the question while preparing food behind the bar.

"There was no other way. They wanted to conduct a more in-depth search, but I felt that going any deeper would be dangerous, so I came back first."

The man known as Rusty Sword answered while stuffing food into his mouth; it was clear he wasn't doing well outside.

"Where are you going next?"

"do not know."

"Really? Well, I have a job for you, would you like it?"

"Oh?"

The man looked up at Domi. He knew that the task Domi was giving in that tone wasn't some simple task like catching some seafood, but rather...

A piece of paper was placed in front of the rusty sword.

"Baron Gazlowe's daughter, Miss Tanis, has discovered a route that seems to meet the requirements. However, it's risky for her to go alone, so the Baron plans to hire some trustworthy adventurers to accompany her. And I happen to have such a recruitment notice on hand."

"Very dangerous?"

"have no idea."

"What about the reward?"

"It depends on the situation; however, participants can receive some advance payment."

————————————Baron's Mansion, Plaza————————————————

Pilate the Rusty Sword leaned against a large tree, sheltering from the sun, and observed the job applicants in the square, just like himself. He noticed that all the adventurers who came to apply were already somewhat famous in the Ratchet City area, just like him.

"Ah, welcome, welcome! I'm so glad you've all graced me with your presence and accepted my employment."

Accompanied by the goblin's distinctive shrill voice, Gazlowe appeared at the gate, standing beside two fully armed goblins, and Tannis being carried by one of the goblins.

Pilate's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the equipment worn by the goblins, which clearly shone with a faint magical aura. He knew that these two goblins were more than capable of plundering all the adventurers present without them even taking a breath.

“I believe you all know why I hired you. I hope my daughter leaves here unharmed and returns unharmed.”

Gazlowe clapped his hands, and two more goblins appeared, carrying two chests.

Commanding the goblins to place the boxes on the ground, Gazlowe opened them. One box contained well-preserved weapons, and the other contained small vials of alchemical potions.

"Of course, I know this is a very risky task. Therefore, these are your advance rewards. Those who are willing to take on this mission can choose a weapon from the box on the left and take five bottles of potions from the box on the right."

After saying that, Gazlowe crossed his arms and looked leisurely at the adventurers below.

"I did it!"

Rusty Sword strode to the boxes, took out a gleaming one-handed sword from the left box, and a bottle of Lion's Might potion, a bottle of weak Troll Blood potion, and three bottles of mild healing potions from the right box.

Led by him, the remaining adventurers stepped forward and took what they wanted from the box.

"very good."

Gazlowe was pleased that all the adventurers he had recruited had accepted the mission. He clapped his hands again, and two carriages came out from behind the courtyard.

"These two carriages will be waiting for you at the gates of Ratchet. You have one hour to pack your bags."

——————————————Ratchet Gate——————————————————

Since there was nothing of value, Pilate the Rusty Sword was the first adventurer to arrive at the meeting point, only to find Tannis and her two goblin bodyguards already waiting there.

"Hello, Pilate."
