Make Azeroth breathtaking

After breakfast, Rega announced the next training plan to Logos and Valera.
"Real combat? But we're in the Grand Arena..."
“Although the training there is painful and tiring, a warrior cannot grow without the threat of death. Logosh, when we found you on the beach, you almost fought a saltwater crocodile with your bare hands—even though that saltwater crocodile was just an adult. This already shows that you are a man who dares to face death. So, do you have the courage to face it again?”
"Of course!"
"That's good, Broll. They're in your hands now."
Bloor nodded and stood up from the table, while Logos and Valera looked puzzled.
“Rega and I agree that some real combat of moderate intensity is beneficial to our team’s cohesion. Fortunately, I know an area where we can easily get involved in suitable combat.”
"where?"
Bloor picked up his teacup and casually uttered a place name that made Valera's expression stiffen slightly.
"Ashen Valley."
——————————————Ratchet City Air Freight Centre——————————————————
“I thought you would go with them, Rega, after all, you bet a lot of money on this Ratchet Tournament.”
After the small passenger plane carrying Brol and his two companions disappeared into the horizon, Gazlowe removed his camouflage hat—in fact, as the ruler of Ratchet, he kept a close eye on Logosh's situation at all times.
"Money isn't the point; the point is whether Logos can truly find his path."
Rega's words made Gazlowe grin.
"You really consider Lo'gosh your personal disciple? Valeera inherited your assassin combat skills; are you planning to pass on your warrior skills to Lo'gosh without reservation? Don't forget him—"
"If Warchief Thrall doesn't care, I don't care, Lo'gosh doesn't care, then nobody cares."
"So you agree with Thrall's approach, but I've heard that the younger generation of orcs—especially those who haven't been taught about war—are showing signs of belligerence, and they're always clamoring to go to war with the Alliance?"
Gazlowe dusted himself off and sat down next to Rega.
"Those brats who were yelling about going to war with the Alliance, we've already sent them to the front lines against the centaurs or to the Ashenvale front lines to wipe out the remaining Burning Legion forces, under the pretext that 'you're just greenhorns who need to be trained.'"
"Forgive my bluntness, but this is only treating the symptoms, not the root cause. My daughter told me that Thrall's vision is good, but unfortunately, your orc tradition is inherently warlike—the Alliance has defeated you, so it's only natural that orcs who haven't experienced the cruelty of war regard the Alliance as their imaginary enemy. In the long run, the Horde will split."
"...I know, Chieftain Thrall knows too, but all we can do now is stall...stall as long as we can, anyway..."
Réga gave a wry smile.
"Azeroth has no shortage of enemies."
—————————————————Ashvalan, Warsong Gulch————————————————
"Waaah—"
As the engines gradually came to a stop, the Ratchet plane landed smoothly at the airfield in the area of Cenarius where the orcs were permitted to log, known as the Warsong Lumber Camp. Brol, Lo'Gosh, and Valeera jumped off the plane carrying their luggage. A night elf sentinel captain was waiting at the edge of the lumber camp.
“Bloor, Aina is very unhappy about you running back to Ashenvale. She says she won’t let you into the house.”
The Sentinel Captain's preemptive words caused Logos and Valeera to look at Brol with strange expressions, while Brol shook his head helplessly.
"I came back this time... well, I'm doing this on someone's behalf. I'm going to help an orc shaman I get along with train two warriors. Here they are."
Bloor pointed to Valera and Logos, and a look of doubt flashed in the eyes of the Sentinel Captain who recognized their race.
"Human, blood elf? And the person who commissioned you is an orc shaman?"
"Well... my gut feeling told me I had to do it, so I accepted."
"You druids are always so secretive... Never mind, how are you going to train them? Let's make this clear first, the situation in Ashenvale is a bit bad right now, so I don't have any simple tasks for you like clearing out the excessive number of Ashenvale wolves or forest bears."
"What they need is a real fight."
"A proper battle... How strong are they?"
"Strength... let me think..."
Bloor thought for a few seconds and then came to a conclusion.
"is acceptable."
————————————————Silverwing Outpost——————————————————
Although it was burned to the ground by the Burning Legion's flames during the Battle of Hyjal, Silverwing Keep, with the help of the Sentinel Force and some orcs, stubbornly rose again in the scarred Ashenvale. The fortress occupies a strategic location where several main roads intersect. More importantly, the direction that Silverwing Keep guards is the canyon where Grom, the chieftain of the Warsong Clan, killed Magtheridon—Demon Slayer Canyon.
The leakage of fel energy after Magtheridon's defeat, coupled with the subsequent large-scale invasion by the Burning Legion, resulted in extreme instability in the Demon Slaughter Canyon. Even Cenarius's personal intervention could only add a layer of seal to the Demon Slaughter Canyon. Demons would still occasionally break through the seal and roam the lands of Ashenvale. The main task of the Silverwing Alliance was to intercept and kill these escaped demons, preventing them from becoming a threat to Azeroth.
"Therefore, we will be dealing with demons for a long time to come. They are completely different from the enemies you have faced before. They are cruel, treacherous, and fight without regard for the method, only for the result. If you are not careful, your souls will become their collection."
Bloor opened a scroll and carefully introduced to Logos and Valera the types of demons they were likely to encounter, their usual fighting methods, and their weaknesses. Every soldier who came to Silverwing Fortress had to memorize this information, as it was valuable experience gained by the soldiers before them with their blood and even their lives.
"...Arcane magic must have a way to seal spatial rifts. It has already been proven that whether or not arcane magic is used has nothing to do with whether or not the Burning Legion invades. Why don't you find a few arcane sorcerers to try it out?"
"I've tried, but it's no use."
"what???"
Seeing Valera's bewildered expression, Blore, knowing what she was thinking, offered to explain.
"Although night elves are not allowed to learn arcane magic in principle at present, we will inevitably have to come into contact with their arcane mages when we deal with other races—do you really think we night elves would turn away all these arcane mages?"
"...Isn't that right?"
"Before the Battle of Hyjal, we would have; now, we won't."
Thirteen. Iron ore... What a huge pit!
"Boom, boom, boom—whoosh—"
With a long, drawn-out whistle, the mining subway train from Stormwind to Ironforge slowly pulled up to the platform. Tanis, dressed in ordinary casual clothes and carrying a small bag, casually stepped out of the train, having left the negotiations with the Stormwind nobles about securing a portion of the city repair order entirely to the crew. She took a deep breath of the air, a mixture of coal smoke, engine oil, and metallic smells, pushed open the gate, walked to the mechanical chocobo rental area in the Gear Hall, rented a mechanical chocobo, mounted it, and headed towards the Great Forge area.
About half an hour later, the molten steel waterfall pouring from Ironforge's iconic massive trough came into view, and the dull thud of steam-powered forging hammers striking steel reached her ears.
The forging production methods of the dwarven artisans at the Great Forge are now completely different from those of several years ago, before Ratchet established a presence in Ironforge. The combined efforts of the goblins and gnomes in the Tinkering system have brought mature assembly line and standardization concepts to Ironforge, leading the dwarves to gradually accept these crucial industrialization principles. Now, while the dwarves in Ironforge still forge a diverse array of items in their private areas, once forging takes place at the Great Forge, they are inevitably integrated into its mass-production assembly line…
"Tannis the Great Tinkerer, welcome, welcome! What brings you here?"
In the Dwarven Throne Hall near the Great Forge, King Magni Bronzebeard warmly embraced Tanyas and invited her to sit down. Since cooperating with Ratchet, Magni had been quite pleased to find that Ironforge's income had increased significantly, and therefore Tanyas had long since been granted the privilege of freely entering and leaving the Throne Hall.
"Dealing with those nobles in Stormwind is exhausting... You know, I hate those roundabout guys."
As Tannis spoke, she looked toward the large forge.
"The steam hammers are all running, you've got a big order?"
"The Silver Hand has placed an order for a large quantity of weapons and armor. They are preparing for a spectacular counterattack on their homeland of Lordaeron, which has now become a plague-ridden land."
Magni's words made Tannis nod in understanding. At this moment, Magni opened the drawer next to his throne and took out a strange metal block that had a metallic luster but was actually a shiny black color.
"This is?"
"This is a new metal that we stumbled upon on those black iron scraps. It is very wear-resistant, has an unexpectedly high melting point, can conduct magic to a certain extent—and can conduct heat energy with almost no damage. At the same time, its toughness far exceeds that of ordinary steel. I think this metal might be helpful in your situation."
"It's not just helpful, it's incredibly helpful! Where is this metal produced, and what is the yield? Does Ironforge have the means to mine and smelt it? I'm willing to pay a high price to buy it!"
Upon hearing that this metal could conduct heat energy with almost no loss and also possessed magical conductivity, Tennys couldn't sit still any longer. She knew very well what this metal meant in the engineering system!
"Scorching canyons, burning plains, and probably the entire Blackrock Mountain."
Magni's words caused Tennys to freeze for a moment, and then the name of the metal surfaced in her memory fragments.
"...It's only produced in the territory of the Dark Iron Dwarves? Then, King Magni, you're showing me this metal not just to tell me about its properties, are you?"
“Yes… Tannis the Great Tinker, I have a favor to ask.”
Magni Bronzebeard was visibly embarrassed when he said those words, after all, it was a bit difficult to bring up the matter of asking Tannis for help.
"Please speak."
“My daughter, Moira, has been kidnapped by the Dark Iron dwarves. I have intelligence indicating that she has caught the eye of that bastard King Thaurissan's son, Dagran Thaurissan. I fear she will be forced into marriage…”
“I understand. I will visit the Dark Iron Dwarves under the pretext that Ratchet wants to buy this ore, but I can’t guarantee that the Dark Iron Dwarves will be too friendly to Ratchet. After all, you know their temper is terrible.”
Tennys, who had almost completely remembered what had happened, looked bewildered. McGonagall, completely oblivious to Tennys's emotional change, was still busy thanking him.
"Thank you! Thank you! I'd be more than satisfied with just a little bit of the latest information! If you can bring her back, you'll be Ironforge's most honored guest forever!!"
———————————————Dwarf District————————————————————
"What a hassle..."
Tannis threw herself onto the soft bed in the dwarf district hotel, staring at the glowing ceiling light as her mind raced.
Undoubtedly, Magni had no reason to lie about the properties of black iron ore, and its special properties could definitely help her solve the last few troubles of the G0 Warlords. However, the problem was that this special ore was only distributed in the few areas Magni mentioned, which meant that if she wanted to obtain black iron ore, she would have to deal with the Black Iron Dwarves.
If the Dark Iron dwarves were simply ordinary dwarves with an evil streak, it wouldn't be so bad. Goblins and ogres, beings that can eat people, can do business, so doing business with Dark Iron dwarves would be even less of a problem. The problem is—Blackrock Mountain is a truly treacherous place! Underground, there's an avatar of Ragnaros, the Firelord, who controls the Dark Iron dwarf king and slumbers in the lava. At the summit, there's Nefarian, one of Azeroth's most evil techies, who has already fought me and, judging by the odds, will fight me many more times. He controls the remaining Blackrock orcs!
"...Should we send someone else?"
The thought flashed through Tannis's mind and was immediately dismissed. No way! To rashly step into that awful place, Blackrock Mountain, without knowing anything about its history, would be a sure way to get burned!
"Temporarily abandon the black iron ore? Wait until things calm down in Blackrock Mountain?"
Tannis quickly dismissed this thought from the Endless Sea. Who knew how long it would take for that awful place, Blackrock Mountain, to completely calm down? She couldn't wait that long.
After rolling around and around many times, Tennys made a decision.
Fortune favors the bold! Let's risk it all!!!
14. Scorching Canyon
If Dun Morogh, atop the mountains, is where snow fairies sing, then the scorching valleys at the foot of those mountains are the laughing ground of fire demons. In this region where the average temperature is always above forty degrees Celsius, the parched ground has long been baked into a single, solid mass. The rivers flowing slowly in the riverbeds are not water, but bubbling, viscous lava. The air is filled with nothing but the stench of smoke, without a trace of moisture. Occasionally, small eruptions appear by the roadside, offering unexpected surprises to those who dare to set foot on this land.
This is the Burning Steppes, part of Redridge Mountains where the legendary being Ragnaros, the Firelord, was burned to ashes by the magical summoning of the Dark Iron dwarf king. Now, it is a place where demons run rampant.
"I shouldn't have come to this place..."
On the road in the scorching canyon, Tannis crouched behind a slightly higher hill, sweating profusely as she repaired her beloved car. She never expected that her car would break down at such a crucial moment! After discovering that the problem was caused by the colorless crystals used as fuel being contaminated by fire elements, Tannis's expression froze even more.
"Is the fire element concentration in this godforsaken Searing Canyon so high it can self-replenish? Producing anything related to fire element here would definitely be twice as efficient... Wait, wait! What am I thinking! The most urgent thing now is to find a safe place to get some spare parts from Ratchet and fix the car..."
Before Tannis could even deploy her drone to scan the surrounding terrain, the lava river not far away began to churn wildly. In Tannis's numb gaze, several monsters that looked like two-sailed dragons, but with dark red skin and thick smoke billowing from their mouths, clearly some kind of magical creatures, roared and pounced on her.
"...Okay, I shouldn't have expected a safe zone here, but I'm in a bad mood anyway..."
