But Jack couldn't think any further, because the Tyrant had already appeared before him, and a battle was about to break out.

The Tyrant's appearance is essentially an enlarged version of a human, walking upright. Its hands and feet are clearly distinguishable. It even wears a military overcoat, which is covered in dense, gleaming vibranium metal threads. These threads have the opposite function to the adamantium on Jack's body, as one absorbs energy while the other reflects it.

The enhanced Tyrant, dressed in a vibranium military coat, meant that Jack could now say his claws were completely useless.

Jack was somewhat surprised: "It seems that in order for me to achieve a more powerful evolution, the chairman actually used a special metal for biological weapons. I wonder if Adamantium is still useful."

“Adamantium has almost run out on you. The last dose was used on you. However, that tyrant also used one of the hardest metals.” Zeus's inappropriate words fueled Jack's belligerent spirit, and he added, “The chairman wants you to fight on. Don't let him down.”

The tyrant slowly approached Jack, allowing Jack a clearer view of its appearance. It had no hair on its head. Its entire skull was bald, like a large light bulb, and its skin was a dark gray, almost like rock.

As for the face, it has eyes, nose, ears, and mouth—everything is present and well-defined. However, the eyes are as big as light bulbs, the nostrils are also very large, and the ears are so small relative to the head that they are negligible.

As for its mouth, besides its lips resembling two large sausages, its teeth are also very sharp. But unlike the hunter's, they don't protrude; they are hidden inside its thick lips and can only be seen when it opens its mouth.

In short, it looked so much like a human that when it opened its mouth, Jack thought it was going to speak. However, it just growled once, which didn't surprise Jack too much!

But its roar was also awe-inspiring, and Jack was quite intrigued. Although its roar might not be louder than that of the Licker or the Hunter, it possessed a terrifying power. Perhaps it was just psychological.

It drew closer and closer, yet its pace was remarkably leisurely, showing no sign of the impatient, hungry lickers or predators that lurk before it. If it weren't for its overly ferocious appearance, it would have resembled a courteous gentleman visiting a friend's house, behaving with impeccable manners.

This was Jack's opponent, a monster that didn't resemble a monster. His intuition told him that this monster was more difficult to deal with and far more troublesome than all the monsters he had encountered before combined.

Although the Tyrant was significantly smaller than both the Licker and the Hunter, its two-meter height still towered over Jack, and its hands were terrifyingly long. When the Tyrant was about ten meters away from Jack, its hands rapidly mutated into claws, revealing them.

The tyrant saw my claws and visibly paused, slowing his pace. His eyes were filled with apprehension, clearly aware of the power of the adamantium claws on Jack's body.

Of course, its claws are noticeably different from Jack's. Tyrant's claws are a product of a second-stage mutation, while Jack's claws are a product of high technology. But regardless, it doesn't affect the sharpness of the adamantium claws compared to Tyrant's.

This monster is really tough to deal with!

Strike first, strike hard! I launched my attack as it approached me!

With a powerful leap, it soared high into the air, its hands clenched into fists, its sharp claws aimed at the tyrant's skull, and swooped down.

The monster wore a suit of armor made of tiger alloy. Although it was only a thin layer, it protected all vital organs except for its head, making it impenetrable to ordinary attacks.

Jack knew he could only attack its head. His attack speed was already at its maximum; from the moment he kicked off the ground to leaping and diving, it probably took less than a second. But the tyrant's reaction was also extremely fast. Jack swung his claws down towards its head from above. At first glance, it seemed not to move, but when it landed on the ground, it realized it had missed.

Jack quickly found it right next to him, close by, and he knew that another tough battle with this tyrant was about to begin.

By the time Jack sensed danger, it was too late to escape.

The tyrant swung his elbow, slamming it into Jack's shoulder. If Jack's bones hadn't been replaced with adamantium, that impact would likely have shattered his shoulder blade.

Fortunately, Jack's bones were made of adamantium alloy. But this "fortunately" is only relative. The Tyrant's elbow struck Jack, and he didn't even have time to react. His body was hit by a tremendous force, with a whoosh followed by a thud.

When he regained consciousness, Jack was completely embedded in the wall, and he could feel the tyrant's immense power within the recessed wall.

The shock in Jack's heart far outweighed the physical pain; he had never imagined that the tyrant possessed such power.

This is the most powerful conventional weapon that Umbrella Corporation relies on. (To be continued...)

Chapter 250 Jack VS Tyrant (Part 2)

After Zeus performed the enhancement surgery on Jack, Jack remained optimistic, believing his strength was already formidable, easily overwhelming the Hunter, who was five times his size. However, upon witnessing the tyrant's brute force, he realized he was no match for the tyrant.

How could a tyrant possess such abnormal power? The answer is that it's a stable G-type tyrant that Tang Tian specially trained for Jack.

Fortunately, the wall in the experimental area was thick enough; otherwise, the impact would have broken through it.

Jack landed back on the ground and moved his limbs, feeling pain all over his body. His bones were fine, but the muscles covering them seemed to be injured. Fortunately, thanks to the C-virus's regenerative abilities, Jack's wounds were healing rapidly.

Jack endured the pain. Although the battle hadn't been easy, Jack wouldn't give up easily.

The tyrant glanced at Jack, who clearly saw the contempt in its eyes. Although it couldn't speak, it was obviously a sentient and conscious biological weapon.

That's right, the Tyrant looks down on Jack. After all, the C-virus didn't make him surpass the Tyrant, so it's normal for the Tyrant to act this way.

Just as Jack was about to fight, his heart skipped a beat. He knew the tyrant had attacked again. Jack's sixth sense was quite accurate; before his eyes could detect any movement from the tyrant, a dangerous aura rushed towards him.

Having learned his lesson, Jack quickly dodged to the side. In that instant, the tyrant narrowly missed him, punching the wall behind Jack.

"That was close, that guy's speed is amazing," Jack thought to himself in surprise.

The wall behind Jack had already been severely damaged by the previous collision, but now the Tyrant's punch—its sharp claws cutting into the wall like tofu, then its fist striking the wall with a loud "Bang!"—had actually pierced through such a thick wall. Jack was somewhat helpless against the Tyrant's monstrous strength.

Although the wall had been damaged before this punch, it was a meter thick and not something that could be easily broken through. This wasn't the place where Tang Tian had just fought, so the wall wasn't made of metal.

If I hadn't dodged in time, I wouldn't have been able to withstand the tyrant's claws. I would have been pierced through, and the monstrous force of that punch would have instantly rendered me incapable of fighting.

If it weren't for his sixth sense coming into play at this crucial moment, allowing him to anticipate the Tyrant's movements in time, Jack would likely be dead already. But even so, Jack had absolutely no chance to retaliate. Not only was retaliating difficult, but even dodging became increasingly challenging, as the Tyrant's movements grew faster and faster.

Even accelerating the predictions made by one's sixth sense can no longer keep up with its speed.

Its speed alone isn't the most terrifying aspect, as increasing its speed isn't slow either. What's truly frightening is that the Enhanced Tyrant possesses martial arts skills, and not just simple Western martial arts. Its every move incorporates techniques from ancient martial arts.

The tyrant can transmit various combat techniques through the virtual world. Umbrella Corporation's bio-weapons are truly suitable for all kinds of combat situations.

In the virtual reality world, the Tyrant incorporated elements of Sanda, Xingyiquan, and military boxing, resulting in incredibly fast attacks. However, Jack, possessing a remarkable sixth sense, could still discern the Tyrant's fighting style—a clear blend of martial arts.

Jack was dazzled by the variety of fighting techniques, his mind unconsciously trying to recall what each one was. When Jack lost focus, his sixth sense was greatly impaired. He was struck repeatedly in the chest, shoulder, and arm.

The instant he was punched, Jack inwardly cried out in alarm. He had already witnessed the Tyrant's brute strength; Jack wasn't fully evolved, and his body was no match for that thick wall.

The three punches that landed on Jack only managed to knock him off balance, far less powerful than the previous elbow strike. The claws, however, were truly terrifying, piercing four bloody holes with a single blow. Nevertheless, the C-virus quickly simulated the Tyrant's attack intensity and began to adapt to the battle.

Jack quickly realized that while the Tyrant's strength seemed impressive, he was only focused on showing off. His moves looked cool, but were mostly empty gestures. If it weren't for the Tyrant's sharp claws, those three punches wouldn't have hurt Jack at all. This might be an opportunity someone was giving him.

The tyrant, however, possessed the same metal as me—an alloy that could deflect energy and was touted as indestructible, something Jack's flesh-and-blood body could never withstand. Looking at the tyrant's military overcoat, Jack knew it was an obstacle to him.

Jack's thoughts were very strange. He was already lucky to have survived, yet he was thinking of killing this biological weapon. This was simply overestimating himself.

After being hit by the enhanced Tyrant, Jack staggered and, without even regaining his balance, scrambled away. The Tyrant didn't rush after him, ignoring me completely, focusing only on its claws, clearly very satisfied, because the Tyrant hadn't given Jack any room to maneuver.

The Tyrant's claws were still covered in blood, stained with his own. Looking at the blood, Jack's face turned cold. The C-virus had allowed Jack to adapt to the intensity of combat; Jack was now fully adapted to fighting.

Jack was a very calm person by nature. If it weren't for his fear of the Tyrant's terrifying strength, he would have rushed over to fight long ago. In the end, he managed to suppress this impulse, because the difference in strength between Jack and the Tyrant was simply too great. Rushing in to fight would only result in one thing: a pointless death.

Zeus seemed surprised by the Tyrant, as if he had discovered something interesting. He said to Jack, "Chairman, it seems that adding fighting techniques and equipment to this Tyrant has made him so powerful. It really surprises me. This Tyrant is no less powerful than the mutant Tyrant."

“I told you, it’s dangerous.” Zeus’s voice was unusually relaxed. He was obviously relieved about Jack’s situation after witnessing the tyrant’s terrifying attack power and my performance. He continued, “It’s special. It was specially cultivated by the chairman. It’s very different from all other tyrants. It’s a tool for your evolution.”

Jack took a deep breath, mustered all his strength, and charged towards the tyrant. Jack's speed at that moment was definitely fast enough to cover 100 meters in five seconds, but it was still too slow for the tyrant. Because Jack missed.

But Jack had anticipated this outcome. He pounced, his claws sweeping to the left and right. The Tyrant was indeed clever; it easily dodged Jack's attacks, but never strayed far, only stepping back slightly before immediately launching a counterattack.

That elbow strike just now came about like that. To make the same mistake would be foolish, and Jack doesn't consider himself a fool. He knew from the start that the first attack wouldn't work, so he put his hopes on his second move.

Just as Jack had predicted, the tyrant only stepped aside slightly, right to his side, intending to deliver another elbow strike just like before.

Unfortunately, this time Jack was faster than it. He knew that it was wearing a special military coat that couldn't be pierced, so his claws attacked the area that the coat couldn't cover.

Jack focused intently, his senses becoming incredibly sharp. The moment his claws touched the Tyrant's neck, Jack knew he had succeeded.

Although the Tyrant has thick skin and tough flesh, Jack's claws are extraordinary; if they can touch it, they can easily cut a bloody gash.

Although the Tyrant is a monster fused with the T-virus, it is not a mindless zombie after all; it is a living being and can still feel pain. The battle between Jack and the Tyrant is nearing its end. Jack will win; this is the hope Tang Tian has given him. (To be continued...)

Chapter 251 Infection Spreads

The outbreak of the T virus infection is undoubtedly a major event for the whole world. Although most people are still in the dark and do not know what happened, the media has become a way for everyone to understand the infection in Tokyo, and it will be an important way in the future.

In order to understand this infection, many television stations from various countries sent a large number of reporters to interview the Tokyo government or visit the affected areas, including some well-known news channels.

Meanwhile, in another part of the American press, only a few people were sitting in their offices. These were either high-ranking figures in the press or assistants and secretaries. They generally did not participate in interviewing or editing news articles; their tasks were limited to serving tea and water.

"What?" came a curse from an office on the top floor of a news building.

“Director, I have to refuse too. I heard that some of our reporters have already contracted that infectious disease there. I don’t want to die, so let me be frank. It’s only a matter of time before I and some other reporters resign. Besides, I’m just a high school student working part-time as a reporter. Considering how much you’ve mentored me these past few years, I’ll remind you: our reporters on the front lines all understand one thing: this is definitely not a simple infection in Tokyo, but a plague. Do you understand what a plague is? Alright, I need to pack my bags and stay home. Good luck! And I heard some superheroes say that it’s about to be destroyed by a nuclear bomb. Of course, most importantly, you won’t allow any reports about the situation in Tokyo.” Peter Parker shook his head, speaking disdainfully to the middle-aged man in front of him.

"Peter Parker." The station manager slammed his hand on his desk, his face turning ashen from the blood. Watching Peter Parker's departing figure, the middle-aged station manager felt both helpless and melancholy. He knew, of course, why Peter Parker had refused; most people would have refused.

The station director, sitting at his desk, frowned. He picked up the phone and pressed a few keys. Then he said into the receiver, "Hans, have two assistants come to my office. There's news there that needs to be covered."

From a middle floor of the building, a timely voice rang out: "You two go to the station manager's office on the top floor."

"Ares, what do you think is the reason for calling us two assistants to the station manager's office this time?" Marquis asked after the two entered the elevator together.

"Anyway, nothing good is coming out of it," Ares knew perfectly well. No, it should be said that many of his assistants knew perfectly well. The situation in Tokyo might be unknown to ordinary people, but they were well aware of the dangers involved.

Moreover, although they appeared to be well-paid, they were actually only a level above the cleaners. They mostly did small tasks like photocopying documents and serving tea and water, and generally didn't have much contact with high-ranking TV station executives, except for secretaries. So, suddenly contacting these low-level assistants couldn't be anything good; they suspected it might be related to Peter Parker, who had just left.

"You two are here? Let's sit down and talk slowly." At this moment, the portly station director looked at his two assistants with a smile and said, "There have been some changes in the station recently, but you don't need to worry about them. I just want to give some newcomers a chance to be promoted." There was clearly two meanings in his words.

"So, I hope you two can go to Tokyo and get some useful news. If you do, I'll promote you both." The station manager emphasized the last two words. Clearly, their survival was in question, and their salaries were likely to be cut.

"If I can, what if I can't?" Ares cursed inwardly, but he had already made up his mind. Of course, he wouldn't throw his life away.

"Alright, that's about it. You'd better leave before the day after tomorrow. As for the division of labor for filming, interviews, and other things, you can discuss it yourselves and each take responsibility for half. You know the station is short-staffed, so no one else will be going with you." The station director waved his hand and said to them.

As soon as Ares entered the elevator, he said to Marquis, "Are you going there? I heard from inside sources that it's almost completely destroyed. And if it's not destroyed, the infection could spread throughout the world."

“Well, of course I won’t go,” Ares replied, though he was indignant.

He had indeed been on the news team before, but his job involved serving coffee to the news organization's equipment, a job he couldn't stand. Now, a promotion opportunity presented itself, but it involved going to Tokyo, a city severely affected by the pandemic. From the television station's reports on infected individuals, he knew this was no joke; it could be life-threatening.

Regardless, he wouldn't embark on the journey to Tokyo, and Ares wasn't one to court death.

The blazing sun made the already hot United States even hotter. This area hadn't been affected by the pandemic, and its citizens remained carefree. However, inexplicably, two days later, the military took control of a key area, strictly preventing people from other countries from entering. No one wanted this place to be infected by the virus and fall victim to its spread.

"So, what's our next step?" Marquez asked Ares, wiping the sweat from his brow.

“Let’s find a hotel to stay in first! We have the money that guy gave us; we can leave Manhattan. Why are we still stuck in this scorching sun? Let’s go somewhere else and start a new life.” Ares pointed to Marquis, who was carrying a large travel bag containing some personal items and a camera. Most importantly, it contained the shiny green banknotes that guy had given him.

“Okay, let’s go!” Ares shook the bag of cash in his hand.

The two walked together deeper into the city. "Ares, I think you've noticed that the police on the street are acting a bit strange?" That was Ares's reaction.

"Who knows? I think it's fine anyway." Ares smiled. "Don't think too much about it, we need to start a new life."

There weren't many people on the street at the time, and I happened to see someone. That person was Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man.

“Parker, we used to be TV reporters. Can I ask you a few questions?” Ares said cautiously, looking at the man next to him.

"Alright, hurry up, we don't have much time to waste here with you guys," Peter Parker said impatiently, clearly still angry from earlier.

"Excuse me, do you know how the epidemic is in Tokyo?" Ares asked a very silly question.

"The pandemic, well, it's bad, very serious. I heard from Superman that it's beyond repair," Peter Parker said, shaking his head helplessly.

"My second question is..." Ares's words were immediately interrupted by Peter Parker.

"I don't have time to talk to you anymore, I don't know the answer to the second question!!" Peter Parker said this and immediately left to go to school.
