"Quick. The target is upstairs." Daredevil heard it; he could hear helicopters and voices outside.

"Go save that person quickly," Daredevil said to the Umbrella Corporation emergency personnel who had arrived at Raccoon City Central Hospital.

The paramedics nodded, placed Terry on a stretcher, and gave him an injection of antiviral inhibitors. Daredevil accompanied them in the ambulance to Raccoon City Central Hospital, which was considered relatively safe.

The ambulance sped along. Terry was taken to the emergency room of the local Raccoon City Central Hospital, where Daredevil was waiting.

After Terry went into the operating room, Daredevil waited outside. As time ticked by, Daredevil paced back and forth in the corridor. Meanwhile, Wesker and a group of mercenaries stood at the door, their weapons proving they were no joke.

An hour and a half passed, and Wesker discovered that the emergency room lights were off, then he found the pistol, still expressionless.

Daredevil arrived at the door of the operating room, at which point a doctor who looked to be in his 30s took off his mask and walked out of the operating room.

"How is it, doctor? How is the situation?" Daredevil asked.

"Is there a problem?" Daredevil asked. After all, Erica was his partner, so he still had to be careful about his sister's safety.

"There's no danger to his life. The T virus has been completely cleared. However, the wound is a bit festering, but we've treated it well, and it will heal in a few days. But I now know the cause of his infection," the doctor said quickly.

"What's the reason?" Daredevil asked, somewhat puzzled.

The doctor called to the nurse inside, who brought out a plate with a shard of glass on it, and Terry was wheeled out and taken to his ward.

"Dr. Hamilton, here you go," the nurse said earnestly.

"What kind of glass shards are these?" Daredevil asked, puzzled.

"That's the crux of the problem. It's a shard of glass embedded in the patient's left arm. Didn't you see it when you were bandaging the patient?" the doctor asked sternly.

"I'm sorry, I'm completely blind. I rely on my senses to move around, and there are always subtle differences," Daredevil explained.

"So you're just going to leave the shards of glass in the patient's left arm for a day? God! If the patient's left arm is brought in any later, it might be beyond saving. And it might turn into a zombie."

"Alright, the patient will need to stay in the hospital for observation for a few more days. I have other patients to attend to, I'll come back later. You're lucky the hospital has managed to keep patients out; the infection outside is getting worse." With that, Dr. Hamilton turned and left.

“Mr. Matt, we will send a helicopter to get you out of here, because it’s getting increasingly dangerous,” Wesker said casually.

“Okay, I understand.” Daredevil nodded, indicating that he understood.

Half an hour later, Terry, who was lying on the hospital bed, slowly opened his eyes.

"Matt, am I alright?" Terry asked anxiously.

"You're alright." At this moment, Dr. Hamilton winked at the Daredevil, meaning that he should keep his T-virus infection a secret.

I'm really okay.

"What if I turn into one of those monsters too?" Terry said, somewhat frightened.

“Yes, Mr. Wesker will send a helicopter to get us out of here,” Daredevil said after a moment’s thought.

"You need to rest for a few more days. The company here will ensure your safety," the doctor said calmly.

Daredevil, of course, wouldn't. After leaving the Raccoon City Central Hospital, Daredevil sensed that it must be extremely dangerous outside the window.

As for why Terry was infected, it was because the glass shard was special; it had been contaminated with blood carrying the T-virus. Besides Daredevil and the Punisher, many other superheroes were also investigating here before returning to the United States to report the situation. The T-virus was simply too dangerous; it could destroy Earth's ecosystem, with an impact far greater than some weapons. However, Tang Tian didn't care about that. He knew how to solve the T-virus problem; now was the right time. (To be continued...)

Chapter 221 Full Outbreak (1)

In the early morning, a rustling sound drifted into the house; it had started raining in Tokyo Raccoon City.

Jack opened his eyes, then touched his head and said faintly, "My head hurts."

He tried to scratch, but instead scratched himself. Staring at his incredibly sharp nails, he wondered, "Who am I? Where am I?" Jack's mind was blank; he couldn't remember anything. Looking around, all he saw was darkness. Jack got up, and suddenly lightning flashed, illuminating his surroundings. He found himself in a villa, surrounded by zombies. The stench of blood was truly unpleasant, and it also cleared his aching head.

Jack went out the window. The rain wasn't heavy, but the sound of it was really loud and annoying. Tokyo was becoming increasingly dangerous due to the T-virus infection.

Jack looked around. Everywhere he looked were zombies, wrecked cars, and blood flowing in the rain, along with other rainwater. Unsteady on his feet, he stumbled and fell to his knees. It was a crater, filled with rainwater. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the surroundings for a fleeting moment. Though only for a split second, in that brief instant, Jack saw reflections on the water's surface. They were countless infected, lifeless zombies, utterly devoid of feeling.

Jack looked at the clothes he was wearing. They were a patient gown with the Umbrella Corporation logo clearly printed on it, indicating that he was another test subject.

Just then, an image flashed through Jack's mind: several Umbrella Corporation researchers were injecting him with a blue liquid, and his body began to change, eventually becoming what it was now. That was the result of the T-virus acting on him, and also what Tang Tian was doing after discovering this person with a special constitution.

It was terrifying. Jack tried to stop himself from thinking about it. The thought kept repeating to himself, "I have to leave this place. I have to leave." Tokyo was no longer safe. There were no more superheroes here. Raccoon City was destined to become a zombie-infested place.

Jack ran east, where some zombies stood on the streets of Tokyo. Some were searching for survivors, while others were just wandering around. Jack ignored them, and the zombies ignored Jack as well, knowing they were all in cahoots.

Jack got tired from running, and his stomach started growling. He never expected that being a zombie would cause this. Without thinking too much about it, Jack ran towards the restaurant next door.

The door was locked. Jack waved his hand. His fingernails scratched the door, leaving several marks. Jack grew impatient and swung his claw forcefully. With a snap, the door shattered into pieces. Jack began to like those sharp fingernails.

Entering the kitchen, Jack saw several pieces of cooked meat on the table. He picked one up and put it in his mouth, but couldn't eat it and spat it out. If Tang Tian were here, he would recognize these as characteristics of a high-level T-virus infection.

"It tastes awful." Jack took a few pieces of raw meat out of the refrigerator and put them in his mouth. "This raw meat is so delicious!"

"Is anyone there?" a voice called out. Jack swallowed the raw meat; he must be a survivor. Although Jack had temporarily lost his memory, he was fine; his fighting ability was still intact.

He answered, "Yes." A Tokyoite had discovered a survivor. Intrigued, he ran into the kitchen and exclaimed, "Great! There's a survivor!" He saw Jack's face and drew his gun to shoot. Jack said, "You must have eaten the survivor, you wretched zombie!"

Jack raised his hands, and the man froze. Jack said, "I'm not a zombie! My name is Jack."

The man thought, "How can a zombie talk?" Then he said, "Really? As long as you don't hurt me, I won't hurt you either. My name is Kato. I got separated from my teammates. If you can help me, I'll take you out." Jack smiled, "It's alright." Kato tossed the pistol to Jack, who tossed it back to Kato. Kato caught the pistol, and Jack said, "I'm a new human, I don't need a pistol."

Jack leaped behind Kato and wiped out several zombies behind him with a single claw attack. Kato turned around and looked at Jack with some surprise: "Your jumping ability is amazing too. My fighting skills can't compare to yours."

Jack said seriously, "Actually, it's nothing. We're all just trying to survive. However, I've lost my memory, so it's safer for the two of us to be together." Kato also said seriously, "That's right, but you should change your clothes. I found a combat suit here; it's a gift from Umbrella Corporation to superheroes."

Kato elegantly pulled a pistol from his backpack, holding it in his left hand and a katana in his right, appearing to be a formidable fighter. Then, Kato pointed to a location, which was also a dangerous one.

Jack turned to Kato and shouted, "Stay close!" Then he ran out of the restaurant, with Kato following closely behind.

The rain stopped, and Jack and his friends arrived at a clothing store. The two went inside. "Haha, we have combat suits and weapons inside, get yourself some!"

Jack walked in and looked at the zombie in front of him. The zombie stared blankly at Jack, who punched it, sending it flying in a perfect arc before it landed on the counter.

Jack wiped his hands, turned to look in the mirror, and was still happy to see that he looked the same.

Wearing a black combat suit, a gray trench coat, and black sunglasses, Jack's resolute appearance was very similar to someone else—a top-tier infected individual of the virus.

Kato continued, "Jack, where are we going now?" Jack turned his head, his sunglasses reflecting light, and said, "Raccoon City Central Hospital."

“If we just cross these few streets, we’ll reach the Raccoon City Central Hospital,” Kato said as he ran. “We need to get out of here before any zombies escape. I’m out of bullets. But my fighting skills are still pretty good.”

Jack pointed ahead and said, "Damn it! A horde of zombies! So many!"

Jack revealed his mutated T-virus hand and shoved away the zombie that was attacking Kato. Jack roared, kicked the zombie away, stood up, knocked the zombie to the ground, and stepped on the zombie's body with his right foot.

Then, Jack's arm mutated into tentacles, absorbing the biological energy within the zombie. To Kato's astonishment, Jack's aura grew even stronger.

Kato gave him a thumbs up and said, "You're amazing. Your right hand has mutated, clearly incorporating the T-virus. Your power is now comparable to Spider-Man's."

Jack took a deep breath, feeling his blood boiling and his right hand swelling. The bio-energy he was absorbing made him feel very comfortable.

"Hurry, the zombies are coming!" Kato ran forward, and Jack followed closely behind, asking, "What happened to my hand?" Kato replied, "Let's talk about it later, the zombies have already entered the street." As Kato ran, he occasionally fired his pistol backward.

“We’re trapped. We have to fight,” Kato said seriously, kicking the wall blocking their way.

Jack pointed to the zombies behind them and said, "That's right, we're trapped. We have to fight our way out." (To be continued...)

Chapter 222 Full Outbreak (2)

Using the power of the T-virus, Jack ran towards the zombies, who were easily killed by Jack like paper.

Jack was in a frenzy, and the zombies were no match for him. After a fierce battle, the zombies were all wiped out, and Jack stood at the alley entrance, breathing heavily.

Kato, holding a shotgun, walked out of the horde of dead zombies and stood on the wide street. He said to Jack, "Jack, you're amazing."

Jack looked up, his eyes glowing red, and Kato was startled, frozen in place.

Jack grabbed Kato and thrust his right hand towards Kato's neck. Kato grabbed Jack's hands and hurriedly said, "Wake up."

Jack slowly released his grip, his senses returning to normal, and mumbled, "I...I'm sorry."

"Never mind." Kato stood up, dusted off his clothes, and said to Jack.

They arrived at a wooden hut, dusty and covered in cobwebs, neglected due to the widespread outbreak of the virus. The wooden planks on the floor were almost cracked, and the television was old and worn out, a decades-old, dilapidated set—clearly a humble home in Tokyo.

There are no zombies here. Perhaps the zombies also dislike this environment and the lack of food. So neither humans nor zombies have come here.

Kato dusted off the stool and sat down, while Jack sat on the table. Kato loaded his pistol, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and exhaled smoke through his nose. Looking at Jack, he said, "Do you know why your right hand has gotten so big?"

Jack shook his head. Kato took another drag of his cigarette, smoke billowing from his mouth, and said, "Just as you said, you are a new kind of human."

Jack was puzzled: "New Humans, that's the term I remember. I don't know what it means?"

Kato continued, "I heard it from researchers at Umbrella Corporation. You were created through experiments to become a new human. Perhaps they didn't realize you had successfully integrated, or maybe they had some mission."

Jack asked, "You still haven't answered why my right hand has mutated."

Kato threw his cigarette butt on the ground and stomped on it a few times. He said, "You are a new human fused with a special T-virus. The fighting and battles will make you evolve continuously, and your power will evolve along with it. The zombies hate the smell on you and will come from afar to devour you and evolve their own power."

Jack stood up and said, "I'll protect you. How do you know so much?"

“I saw a notebook about Newtypes in Umbrella Corporation’s files,” Kato said, looking up at Jack. “Perhaps you Newtypes are the most disruptive beings in this world.”

Jack was excited and said with wide eyes, "Tell me quickly."

Before Kato could finish speaking, a sharp tongue pierced through his shoulder, and the pistol fell to the ground.

Jack realized what was happening; Kato had already been dragged out of the cabin. Jack quickly ran out of the cabin, shouting, "Let's go!"

With Kato's final cry, he died, devoured by a long-tongued Licker, which then evolved into a Hunter.

Jack had a bad feeling. He had finally found out the information he wanted, but now it was of no value to him.

The T-virus within Jack had become even more thoroughly integrated, and in his rage, he punched a zombie's head off, then used both hands to completely devour the genes and bio-energy of the hunters that rushed towards him.

Jack gasped for breath. He knew this wouldn't work. He needed to find a survivor quickly and get him out of there, even though the zombies were no match for him. But there were just too many zombies; he was exhausted before he could kill them all.

Now Jack needed to find a safe place to rest for a day and see if there were any survivors. The sun slowly rose, and dawn gradually broke. Jack walked along the road, head down, deep in thought.

As dawn broke, Jack looked up at the fiery red sun, without any particular thought. Luckily, he had integrated new power, otherwise he might have been killed.

Jack turned to look at the shop next door. This was it. He quickly dispatched the two zombies in security guard uniforms at the shop entrance. Looking at the iron gate in front of him, he felt a surge of frustration. If he didn't enter through the proper channels, the alarm would go off. And going off the alarm at this moment would be like giving the zombies directions.

I slowly walked through the empty store. A gust of wind blew, stirring up scraps of paper and debris on the floor. The dust was already thick enough to step over the floor; that's what happens when no one takes care of things. Now, in a managed store, one can freely obtain whatever goods one wants without paying. Soon I reached the shelves, but after thinking for a moment, I decided the upper floor wasn't suitable for the current situation. Not only was there nothing useful, but it was also too empty. So I turned and continued walking towards the office building. The entire building only had four floors; I quickly reached the second floor.

There were no zombies here. After Jack finished eating and drinking, he went into the store's office, where only a desk and a sofa remained. Jack closed the door, pulled it shut behind him, and turned to lie down on the sofa.

Then, while he was sleeping, he was awakened by the sound of Jack opening the door. It was the sound of someone going up the stairs. Could it be a survivor? Great, Jack thought to himself as he stood up.

He opened the door, and an old man in a raincoat and beret walked towards Jack, muttering, "What a disgusting smell." Jack said happily, "That voice sounds familiar... Are you a survivor?" The man in the beret shouted, "Die!" and threw a punch at Jack. Jack dodged the attack to the right, and looking at the man's powerful fist, exclaimed in surprise, "You're a zombie!" The man said, "No, I'm human like you." He threw another punch, which Jack dodged again, saying, "A new human!?" The old man in the beret shouted, "Are you an Umbrella Corporation test subject?" Jack's eyes glowed blue, and he lowered his head, saying, "I don't know, and I hope you don't need to know either." With that, he prepared to leave. He knew this man had considerable fighting ability, and although his own strength was not weak, he still needed to acquire more power.

Before Jack could leave, the old man in the beret smiled and said, "Mr. Donald, I wanted to test your strength, and I sensed that your strength is quite good. The chairman has ordered us to take you away from Raccoon City."
