"Glenn, what's the situation outside?" Rick asked into the walkie-talkie.

"The walkers are all gathered at the police station entrance. They haven't spotted us and are still a few steps away from the car," Glenn reported quietly into the walkie-talkie.

"Once we're done, we'll rush out the back door. Moore and Daryl will use the truck as cover to ride their Harleys. We'll find another car in the parking lot to load the supplies, then Glenn will drive the truck, and we'll all get out of here!" Jie Liang calmly devised the plan. (To be continued...)

Chapter 189 Kenneth

"Hey T, how's your situation?" Rick asked the three people in the parking lot.

"Yes, thankfully, there are no zombies," T-Zai reported over the walkie-talkie.

"Okay, keep going, but keep it quiet. Remember to find a car with a lot of space. There are walkers all over the front, we can't load anything more into the truck!" Rick gave instructions to the three people in the backyard according to the Mustard Plan.

"Are you here to look for a gun?" the man asked the three tentatively.

"How did you know?" Daryl raised his crossbow warily and aimed it at the man's head.

"At a time like this, you obviously can't come here to report a crime and seek protection. Did you come here to find the police's leftover hamburgers?" The man smiled, completely unconcerned about having a crossbow pointed at his head.

"Who are you?" Rick asked, frowning.

“You know what, officer? I can help you! My name is Kenneth, I worked here before the disaster, and I'm a police officer too!” The man gave a confident smile.

“Very well, Kenneth, in that case, please take us to the armory here now! We need to hurry!” Jie Liang smiled amicably at Kenneth and said.

“Alright, follow me!” Kenneth led the way down to the basement. “But I advise you not to get your hopes up too high! I was on vacation when the disaster broke out. I sensed something was wrong, so I refused the police’s recall order, stockpiled some supplies, and hid them at home.”

Kenneth said as they walked, "But there was gunfire everywhere those days. The troops and police were fighting the walkers desperately. So, I don't think there's much left in the armory!"

The three of them exchanged a slightly disappointed glance and said unwillingly, "We'll only know after we see it!"

The group arrived at the corridor in front of the equipment depot, and the sight before them shocked them.

The walls were riddled with bullet holes, and dried, blackened blood was everywhere. The armory door was littered with the bodies of dead soldiers, civilians and police officers alike.

Kenneth stopped, too afraid to approach the corpses strewn across the ground. Rick and Jie Liang exchanged a glance, then cautiously moved forward, guns in hand. He knew that with Jie Liang watching over him, he would be safe.

The four carefully chose their place to stay and slowly made their way to the entrance of the armory.

"Ah!" A scream came from behind, and Akira turned around in a flash.

The corpses they had just passed, which seemed to be completely dead, suddenly began to rise, with seven or eight of them swaying and standing up. The one at the front of the group tackled Kenneth at the back of the line, putting Kenneth in imminent danger.

With a sharp crack, several walkers were simultaneously struck in the head and fell back to the ground. Kenneth nimbly kicked away the walkers that had pounced on her. She rolled over and stood up.

Kenneth, who had just stood up, was about to thank them when he suddenly opened his eyes wide in surprise and looked behind Akira and the other two!

"Oh no!" Rick cried out in alarm. Jie Liang turned around again, and a dozen or so zombies dressed in police uniforms poured out of the open armory door, grabbing Rick tightly and greedily biting at him!

Daryl fired a crossbow bolt, piercing the head of the nearest walker, but the others continued to attack Rick relentlessly. Rick was about to meet his demise.

"Swoosh—! Bang! Bang! Bang!" Jie Liang fired instantly. The walkers clinging to Rick were struck as if by lightning, trembling and collapsing without a sound. The walkers that hadn't yet pounced on Rick were shot down one by one by Jie Liang.

Rick sat on the ground, backing away in terror, his face deathly pale, almost fainting from fright, until he was sure all the walkers had been killed.

"Oh my God!" Rick exclaimed, breathing heavily, "I almost thought I was dead!"

Daryl and Jie Liang quickly came to Rick's side: "Are you alright? Were you bitten?"

Rick gasped in fear, quickly checking himself over: "I don't think so!"

After examining Rick repeatedly, Ji Liang and Daryl finally confirmed that the lucky Rick was indeed unharmed.

The group took a breath, calmed their excited emotions, and began to carefully search the equipment depot.

Just as Kenneth had predicted, more than half of the weapons were missing. Fortunately, the armory was quite large, and the remaining weapons were enough to arm everyone in the camp.

They found seven shotguns, four sniper rifles, one automatic rifle, and over twenty pistols of various types. They also had nearly two thousand rounds of ammunition of all kinds!

The four of them beamed with joy, excitedly clapping and celebrating, completely forgetting the near-death experience they had just gone through.

"Hey, T-boy, how's it going over there?" Rick asked excitedly about the backyard parking lot.

"Not bad! We found two walkie-talkies and a gun. Then we found two extra plastic oil drums and filled them up. Jim helped us disassemble some usable parts, and we also found the hoses for the RV. Are you all set? We've filled up a police van with gas, and it's ready to go anytime," T-Zai reported over the walkie-talkie.

“Yes, we’ve got it done! Load the stuff into the car, I’m coming right now!” Rick said happily.

“Notify Glenn to be ready to follow in his car at any time,” Jie Liang reminded Rick.

When the group arrived at the backyard, the three people there were overjoyed to see the guns.

The group hurriedly loaded the items into the car, while Moore and Daryl quietly crept to the door.

"The Dixon brothers go get the motorcycles first, then Glenn starts the truck, turns around and drives back the way we came. The Dixon brothers start the motorcycles and leave first when Glenn is back in his truck. When Glenn drives the truck past the parking lot entrance, we immediately follow to cover his rear! Do you all understand?" Jie Liang issued the order to everyone through the walkie-talkie.

The group in the parking lot got into their vehicles, with Rick still driving. Moore and Daryl quietly slipped behind Glenn's truck, turned the Harley around, and got ready. The police truck and Glenn's truck started simultaneously. The police truck pulled up at the parking lot entrance, ready to go, while Glenn starting his truck had already alerted the walkers. The Dixon brothers started their Harleys, quickly accelerated, and drove off. Glenn, finally turning his truck around, frantically floored the accelerator, chasing after the Dixon brothers. A large group of walkers closely followed Glenn. Just then, Rick drove his truck out of the parking lot, ramming the walkers and sending them stumbling, and closely followed Glenn to cover their retreat.

Jie Liang opened the back door of the police car and fired at the pursuing zombies, emptying two magazines in succession before finally stopping them.

The group happily drove back the way they came. Jie Liang breathed a sigh of relief, sat in the carriage, and smiled as he extended his hand to Kenneth, saying, "My name is Jie Liang, it's nice to meet you."

"Hello, Akira." Kenneth smiled and shook hands with Akira.

“I suppose you wouldn’t mind coming back to camp with us?” Jie Liang continued with a smile. “Looks like you have nowhere else to go.”

"Your camp? Who exactly are you people?" Kenneth asked cautiously to Jie Liang.

“Just ordinary survivors. We still have women and children in our camp, and we welcome anyone with nowhere else to join us!” Jie Liang explained with a smile, trying to dispel the survivor's doubts. Kenneth nodded understandingly; he also had some understanding of the current situation.

"Where are you from?" Jie Liang continued to ask.

“I’m from Texas,” Kenneth introduced himself. “Where are you from?” Jie Liang simply replied that he was from Atlanta, and then the group went to the camp together. (To be continued...)

Chapter 190 Camp Crisis

By this time, the sun was almost setting, and the convoy happily sped towards the golden sunset.

Twenty minutes later, the convoy slowly entered the camp. Ed, the Morales couple, and Amy came to greet them.

"Welcome back! How is everyone? How was the harvest?" Ed rarely took the initiative to speak.

"A great harvest!" Moore and Daryl dismounted their motorcycles. The people on the motorcycles behind them also got off.

"Where are the others?" Jacques, who got off the bus first, asked curiously.

"They went mushroom picking in the forest!" Ed explained with a laugh. "Did you find the gun? I'll get it for you!"

Rick, T-boy, and Jim unloaded several bags of guns from the police car. Rick was puzzled that the others didn't come to greet him.

"Great, not a single one is missing, Akira!" Ed said loudly to Akira.

A man suddenly emerged from behind the RV, pointing Old Dale's sniper rifle at the group. A tent was suddenly ripped open, and another man pointed Sean's shotgun at Carol, Sophia, Andrea, and Amy inside.

Behind the car, in the woods, several men appeared, pointing their guns at the group. Ed drew his gun and aimed it directly at Jie Liang. There were eight men in total, not counting Ed.

"Welcome! Welcome back, heroes!" A sinister-looking white man, clearly not a kind soul, said mockingly to the crowd, "Thank you for risking your lives to get guns for us!"

"Hahahaha!" The men burst into laughter.

"Thank you for the food! And tonight, I also want to thank you for your contribution!" the man continued with a maniacal laugh. "Now! How about you throw those guns over here first?"

The crowd was at a loss, looking at each other in panic.

"Can I ask you a question? You didn't kill anyone, did you?" Jie Liang asked in a low voice with a stern face.

"Haha? Ask a question?" the sinister man sneered. "Do you even have the right to ask questions now? Throw your weapons over here!"

“We have a few more companions. Where are they?” Jie Liang asked, his eyes filled with gloom, unmoved.

"Enough with the nonsense, do you want to get shot?!" the sinister-looking man roared. Several men gripped their guns tightly, aiming at the group, and the atmosphere was tense and ready to explode!

Jie Liang's face darkened. He scratched his nose, looking slightly helpless, and said, "Alright, let's check it ourselves later!"

Time seemed to freeze suddenly. Jie Liang's hand moved in a series of afterimages as he drew his M9 from his waist. Several men tried to pull the triggers, but their movements were as slow as if they had been frozen by the extreme cold...

"Bang—!" A long, eerie gunshot rang out. The sinister man and Ed suddenly realized their guns had vanished, while the other seven armed men were simultaneously thrown backward. They crashed to the ground, each with a bullet hole prominently displayed between their eyebrows, perfectly positioned!

The situation reversed in an instant!

Moore punched Ed to the ground, cursing and kicking him all the while. Daryl, with a grim face, aimed his crossbow at the sinister man, while Rick and Anna also drew their guns and aimed at him.

With a loud "bang!", Jie Liang smiled as he shattered the sinister man's right ear. The sinister man howled and covered his right ear with his right hand.

Another gunshot rang out, and Jie Liang smiled as he shattered the sinister man's right hand. The sinister man howled in pain, clutching his right hand with his left.

"Bang!" Another shot. Jie Liang continued, smiling, as he shattered the sinister man's left hand. The man's face was filled with terror; his mind completely collapsed. He screamed and turned to run.

"Bang! Bang!" Two gunshots rang out in succession. Jie Liang smiled and shattered the two knees of the sinister man. The sinister man screamed and fell to the ground.

“I have one bullet left. Maybe I should use it to smash your head!” Jie Liang said angrily to the sinister man. “Him! And Ed! We must interrogate them thoroughly!”

“Yes, boss. Leave it to me!” Moore replied with a grim face, his eyes flashing with cruelty.

With the danger over, Rick and the others rushed forward to untie the ropes binding the others, freeing them and finding Dale and Sean, who were being held in solitary confinement, in a nearby tent.

Because they were disarmed at close range with guns pointed at them, there were no casualties in the camp. However, Dale and Sean attempted to resist and were severely beaten.

The camp was ransacked, and everything useful was collected to be taken away. Su and others never expected that while they were looting the police station, someone would set their sights on them.

The men had eaten all the venison sausage that Jie Liang had made the day before, so Jie Liang and his group could only eat canned food for dinner. At this point, the food at the camp was running out.

That evening, after Moore's interrogation, everyone understood the whole story.

Last night's zombie attack on the camp resulted in heavy gunfire. The sinister man and his gang were drawn by the gunfire, assuming that after such a fierce battle, the camp would be severely weakened, if not completely wiped out. The intense gunfire indicated that the camp possessed a considerable amount of weapons and ammunition, and such camps typically did not lack survival supplies.

The group couldn't find the campsite that night. But when the campsite burned the bodies in the morning, the thick smoke attracted them. They arrived just as Jie Liang and the others had already set off.

Dale lowered his guard because they were human. The sinister man acted very friendly.

Only after they figured out the camp's strength did they reveal their true colors.

Dale and Sean were disarmed and brutally beaten, while Morales was unarmed, and the others were completely incapacitated. Ed, a villain by nature, had no say in the camp, which was mostly populated by kind people. This group convinced Ed that his opportunity had arrived, so he sold himself to them and revealed everything about the camp.

Upon hearing that the camp's elite forces had gone into the city to search for weapons and ammunition, the sinister man was tempted. He abandoned his plan to loot the camp and leave immediately, and instead decided to ambush Jie Liang and his group.

Ed sold himself into servitude, and the Morales couple and their child were taken hostage. This led to the scene where Ed and Morales lured the others into an ambush when they returned to the camp.

They never expected that there was a powerful figure among the ambushed group. Jie Liang displayed his extraordinary prowess, and the entire bandit army was wiped out!

A campfire was lit in the camp, and everyone was there, sitting in a circle around it. The sinister man and Ed were gagged, blindfolded, and tightly bound to one side.

"This is a chaotic world!" Jie Liang looked around at everyone and said loudly, "Society has collapsed, and order has vanished! This is the first time this has happened, but it will certainly not be the last! What this world has in abundance is thugs!"

Moore sat there and nodded in agreement.
