Seeing Ling Chi's approachable manner, Qingfeng and Mingyue were deeply moved, and their goodwill towards him increased dramatically: "Thank you, senior."

With one bite, he instantly conquered the two young Daoist disciples who were only at the Golden Immortal level, and incidentally acquired two ordinary recipes. To Ling Chi now, apart from the recipes of Saints, even the recipes of Quasi-Saints were merely passable and not worth his attention.

Looking back on the days when I first got the system and worked hard to make a dish of white quality, it's truly a bittersweet memory.

After a short while, Zhen Yuanzi tasted all the fruits and couldn't help but exclaim in admiration: "Since the beginning of time, this is the first time I have tasted such delicious and sweet fruits. Compared with these fruits, my ginseng fruit is nothing."

“Fellow Daoist is too modest. The Ginseng Fruit is one of the ten innate spiritual roots, sought after by countless beings who cannot obtain it,” Ling Chi said.

"I am ashamed, I am ashamed." Zhen Yuanzi was truly ashamed. He used to be quite confident in the ginseng fruit, but after eating these fruits, he realized that there are always higher levels and better fruits out there. "I was too arrogant in the past."

Ling Chi smiled slightly and said, "I wonder if you have grasped the opportunity to become a saint?"

Zhen Yuanzi paused for a moment, seemingly surprised by Ling Chi's leap of thought, but still nodded: "We've got some ideas, but they still need to be refined."

"I see." Ling Chi nodded with a smile and said, "Speaking of methods for attaining enlightenment, I do have one for you to consider. I wonder if you would be willing to listen to my rambling?"

"Fellow Daoist, you are too kind. I would like to hear the details."

Zhen Yuanzi was only being polite, but what Ling Chi said next shocked him greatly.

"The primordial world gave birth to all living beings, but races with innate inheritances are extremely rare. How cruel is this to those beings without inheritances? Fellow Daoist is kind by nature. If you could establish a cultivation method for the primordial beings without inheritances and become a teacher to all living beings on the primordial land, even if you cannot become a saint, you could at least achieve the Dao fruit of the ancestor of earth immortals."

At this point, Ling Chi glanced at Zhen Yuanzi, whose face was filled with shock, and smiled slightly: "What do you think, fellow Daoist?"

Zhen Yuanzi looked at him: "This method..."

……

A thousand years later, on Longevity Hill, at Wuzhuang Temple.

It was a sunny afternoon, and the birds and beasts in the mountains lived peacefully as usual. Just then, Zhen Yuanzi flew out of Wuzhuang Temple and soared into the clouds.

An aura of pressure was slowly gathering around him.

Suddenly, the heavens and earth trembled, and an inexplicable pressure appeared.

"By the Heavenly Dao, I am Zhen Yuanzi, a disciple of Dao Ancestor Hongjun, born from the Ginseng Fruit Tree, a supreme innate spiritual root, and the only manifestation of one of the ten supreme spiritual roots. Today, I, Zhen Yuanzi, feel the vicissitudes and hardships of the fate of all living beings. I, Zhen Yuanzi, swear to the Heavenly Dao to protect all living beings without lineage on the primordial land, and to suppress the fate of the Spirit Sect with the supreme innate spiritual treasures, the Dragon Head Staff and the Pure White Lotus! The Spirit Sect is established!"

After making the vow, Zhen Yuanzi felt his mind was clear and he was blessed by Heaven and Earth.

After he completed the vow, a tremendous stream of merit came toward him.

This merit is so great that it is no less than that of Nuwa creating humankind, and all living beings within a radius of hundreds of millions of miles around Longevity Mountain can see it clearly.

Having gained such immense merit, Zhen Yuanzi's momentum soared, and he broke through the barrier almost instantly. Flowers rained down from the sky, golden lotuses sprang from the ground, and purple mist stretched for thirty thousand miles in the east...

Zhen Yuanzi has become a saint!

Countless beings, especially those without innate inheritance, inexplicably felt a guiding force. When Zhen Yuanzi spoke of the establishment of the Spiritual Sect, they understood that their teacher, a powerful being who had not received innate inheritance, had appeared, and a great being who would protect their race had appeared.

The sage Zhen Yuanzi established the Lingjiao sect to protect all living beings in the primordial world.

"Zhen Yuanzi is a benevolent sage!"

"We congratulate the sage!"

All beings in the primordial world without innate inheritance worshipped Zhen Yuanzi. A powerful pressure from heaven and earth instantly swept across the primordial world. Those who should kneel knelt, and those who shouldn't were stunned. Zhen Yuanzi became a saint, and the last saint with a seat in Zixiao Palace appeared.

Feeling the worship of all living beings and the various supernatural powers he had gained after becoming a saint, Zhen Yuanzi couldn't help but shout: "Now that I have become a saint, all living beings should celebrate!"

When the sage appeared, heavenly flowers rained down, golden lotuses sprang from the earth, countless celestial melodies appeared out of thin air, and billions of auspicious clouds formed countless peaceful and auspicious beasts that swirled around, emitting all sorts of subtle sounds...

Five-colored lotuses bloomed between heaven and earth, their fragrance filling the air, incredibly realistic; golden petals fell from the sky.

All spiritual beings touched by the golden flower gained sentience. The birth of a sage brought forth extraordinary phenomena, auspicious omens filled the sky, and purple energy from the east spread blessings upon the primordial world and all living beings...

"We pay our respects to the Sage Zhen Yuanzi."

"We pay our respects!"

"..."

With each chorus of worship, Zhen Yuanzi finally awoke from his trance. He was intoxicated by the feeling of controlling the immense power of heaven and earth. He finally understood why "all those below the level of a sage are but ants." You truly don't know how powerful a sage is until you become one!

That is a power that transcends dimensions. If any arrogant being dares to challenge a saint, the saint will show you what a dimensional reduction attack is!

After Zhen Yuanzi became a sage, he did not immediately go to the outer heavens to establish a Daoist temple. Instead, he wanted to fulfill his promise to preach to the primordial beings who had no innate inheritance, so that they could have a path to ascension.

"After the First Yuan Society, I will tell Wanshou Mountain about the way of all living things on earth. Those who are destined can come and listen."

Zhen Yuanzi used the power of a sage, and the news spread throughout the entire prehistoric world in an instant.

“The sage is compassionate.”

"The Sage Zhen Yuanzi has shown me immense kindness and virtue!"

The countless beings were overjoyed. They didn't have to go to the Chaos Beyond Heaven. This was much better than the time when Hongjun Saint preached in the Chaos, which indirectly eliminated 99% of the beings. The Chaos was not a place they could go.

But you can go to Wuzhuang Temple, although it also benefits the area around Wuzhuang Temple, and weak creatures from far away cannot reach it.

But no matter what, this is a matter of chance.

On the other hand, for Zhen Yuanzi, he, along with the Three Pure Ones and the Two Sages of the West, all established their own sects and became saints. If he wanted to increase his fortune, he could only make his sect grow stronger.

Logically speaking, the six saints would definitely clash over future sectarian disputes. Fortunately, Zhen Yuanzi's sect was only meant to leave a ladder for beings in the prehistoric world who had no lineage to ascend to higher realms, thus avoiding direct conflict between witches, demons, immortals, gods, and monsters.

This is the advantage of Zhen Yuanzi's spiritual teachings, which distinguishes them from the four other teachings: Ren, Jie, Chan, and Xifang.

……

"Congratulations, Master, on attaining sainthood! May you be immortal and enjoy eternity. Your disciple Qingfeng (Mingyue) offers his congratulations!"

"Congratulations, Master, on your attainment of sainthood! May you be indestructible for countless eons and enjoy eternity! We congratulate you!"

All the creatures within Wuzhuang Temple congratulate Zhen Yuanzi on attaining sainthood and becoming a sage. He is incredibly fortunate to have a sage protecting him from now on.

"Rise!" Zhen Yuanzi was in high spirits. He had finally become a saint. From then on, he stood at the pinnacle of the prehistoric world and no longer needed to worry about any karma.

Moreover, saints are different; from the moment he became a saint, his Wuzhuang Temple underwent tremendous changes.

The sacred site of a sage is no ordinary place; the changes bestowed by Heaven are mysterious and unpredictable, appearing incomparably majestic and vast.

The original ginseng fruit tree underwent a tremendous transformation, soaring straight into the clouds to a height of 99,900 zhang.

Its origins have also begun to slowly transform.

Having grasped the power of the sage, Zhen Yuanzi nodded in satisfaction, feeling immense gratitude towards Ling Chi, who had shown him the right path years ago. After expressing his gratitude, he thought of Hongyun.

Thinking of Hongyun reminded him of Kunpeng, and when he thought of Kunpeng, Zhen Yuanzi's face darkened.

When a sage is angry, heaven and earth will show signs.

In the northernmost part of the primordial world, Kunpeng, awakened by Zhen Yuanzi's ascension to sainthood, was filled with worry about his future.

You should know that Hongyun, whom he killed, was Zhenyuanzi's brother, but Zhenyuanzi was unable to avenge Hongyun because he and Hongyun were only trying to settle their karma.

But things are different now. Zhen Yuanzi has become a saint. Even if there is no cause and effect between him and the saint, as long as the saint wants him to die, the possibility of him surviving is infinitely close to zero.

"Kunpeng!"

Just as he feared, Kunpeng looked up at Zhen Yuanzi, who had suddenly appeared above him, and his face turned deathly pale.

"Ruined!"

Chapter Twenty-Five: Witches, Humans, and Demons

Zhen Yuanzi descended slowly, his aura growing stronger and stronger, making it hard for Kunpeng to breathe.

Kunpeng was only a mid-stage Quasi-Saint who had severed two corpses. How could he withstand the pressure of a Saint? Before Zhen Yuanzi even made a move, he had already forced Kunpeng to his knees. Even though he managed to stand up, his blood and qi surged and blood flowed from his seven orifices.

"Kunpeng, do you know why I have come here?" Zhen Yuanzi said in a deep voice.

Kunpeng spat out a mouthful of blood, his face growing paler: "Hongyun and I are entangled by karma. His death is merely repaying the karma he owed me. But I have no enmity with the Sage. Even the Sage cannot kill me without cause, otherwise, karmic retribution will surely follow."

"Hmph! What do I have to fear from the karma of a mere Quasi-Saint!" Zhen Yuanzi raised his hand, ready to kill Kunpeng and avenge Hongyun.

"Junior brother, stop!" Just then, the Three Pure Ones broke through space and arrived at this place, stopping Zhen Yuanzi from launching an attack.

Seeing that the Three Pure Ones had come to stop him, Zhen Yuanzi's face turned very ugly: "Why are you three senior brothers stopping me?"

"Junior brother, do not act rashly," Yuanshi Tianzun advised. "This is a critical time between the Wu and Yao tribes. The Yao tribe still needs Kunpeng's assistance, otherwise..."

Sages all knew the future course of the primordial world, especially Yuanshi Tianzun, whose Dao was to follow the will of Heaven. He did whatever Heaven arranged. As the saying goes, those who follow Heaven prosper, and those who defy Heaven perish. That's why he was able to defeat Tongtian and Jiejiao, who went against Heaven, in the future Investiture of the Gods war and achieve final victory.

Although the Western Sect ultimately won the grand prize, it cannot obscure the fact that the Chan Sect triumphed. Moreover, the prosperity of the West was ordained by Heaven, and Yuanshi Tianzun understood this, which is why he joined forces with the two Western Saints during the Investiture of the Gods. Even if he hadn't cooperated in the slightest, the West's future prosperity would not have been possible. Everything was simply in accordance with the will of Heaven.

Because the original intention was to follow the will of Heaven, and because almost all the saints hoped that the witch and demon races would perish together, the Three Pure Ones gathered here. Originally, the two Western Saints were also preparing to come, but with the Three Pure Ones taking action, they no longer needed to come.

After listening to Yuanshi Tianzun's advice and confirming that the Three Pure Ones would definitely stop him from killing Kunpeng, Zhen Yuanzi snorted coldly: "Since my three senior brothers have pleaded for Kunpeng, I will let him go this time, but after the war between the Lich King and the Demon King ends... Hmph!"

Zhen Yuanzi turned around and returned to Wuzhuang Temple.

Kunpeng was initially relieved, but Zhen Yuanzi's last words sent a chill down his spine.

What do you mean? What are you planning to do after the Lich Wars are over? Kill me?

Kunpeng almost turned his hair white with worry in an instant. What should he do?

The Three Pure Ones glanced at Kunpeng and shook their heads. Tongtian left with the words, "Take care of yourselves!" The Three Pure Ones then returned to Kunlun Mountain together.

……

After a Yuanhui, Zhen Yuanzi preached the Dao at Wanshou Mountain for a thousand years, and tens of millions of primordial beings listened to his teachings. Zhen Yuanzi left all beings a cultivation method that could lead them to the Golden Immortal level, equivalent to nine years of compulsory education in modern times. As for reaching a higher level, that depended on their own will and opportunities.

When the thousand-year sermon ended, Zhen Yuanzi finally achieved his goal and his mind was clear. He said, "I have been sermonting for a thousand years, leaving behind cultivation methods for the beings of the primordial world. Now that my merits are complete, I shall go to the Thirty-Three Heavens to establish a Daoist temple. From now on, Longevity Mountain will be closed, and Wuzhuang Temple will be moved to the Daoist temple outside the heavens. I will no longer participate in the affairs of the primordial world. I hope that the beings of the primordial world will do more good deeds, accumulate more merits, and attain the Dao as soon as possible."

All the beings listening to the lecture prostrated themselves on the ground, saying, "The Sage Zhen Yuanzi is merciful; we will certainly live up to his expectations!"

Zhen Yuanzi nodded with a smile, and with a wave of his hand, millions of living beings were moved out of the Wanshou Mountain area. Afterwards, Zhen Yuanzi led the disciples of Wuzhuang Temple to the Thirty-Three Heavens, established a Taoist temple, and moved Wuzhuang Temple there, no longer participating in the affairs of the prehistoric world.

Originally, the sages could remain in the prehistoric world, since they were the actual managers of the prehistoric world. However, because the sages later engaged in infighting and committed many despicable acts, Zhou Mountain collapsed and the prehistoric world was shattered. As a result, the angry Hongjun confined them to their quarters, and they could not leave until the immeasurable calamity.

Unlike the other five saints, Zhen Yuanzi's spiritual sect has reached perfection. As long as the prehistoric world exists and all living beings in it exist, his spiritual sect will not perish. Therefore, he can go to the outer heavens to live in seclusion and continue to comprehend the realm above the saints.

In contrast, the Three Pure Ones and the Two Sages of the West were forced to remain in the prehistoric world due to their doctrines, and continued to scheme and plot against each other so that their great religions could grow and be passed down.

It is because of their existence that they left a bad example for future generations: "As long as there are saints, there will be thieves."

……

Because Zhen Yuanzi announced to the world that he would go into seclusion beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens and no longer participate in world affairs, the Three Pure Ones and the Two Sages of the West were very happy to have one less competitor, and at the same time, they were somewhat envious of Zhen Yuanzi.

After all, Zhen Yuanzi's path to enlightenment had been perfected, and from then on he could live a carefree life, eating and drinking as he pleased, and taking a trip whenever he wanted. It couldn't be more comfortable.

But they couldn't, because their doctrines all depended on humans or other races! In order to pass on and develop their doctrines, they had to make enough efforts. Only in this way could they secure their position as saints. Otherwise, if their doctrines could not be passed on and they lost their support, they might fall from the realm of saints.
