Adam's eyes suddenly turned red, and a powerful heat ray shot out, shattering the land Hadeside had thrown in mid-air. Adam then experienced a freefall, his powerful feet slamming into Hadeside's head, pinning him back to the ground.

The three-meter-tall Hodsad was blasted two meters into the ground, reaching his chest, by Adam's attack. He struggled to get himself out, but Adam gave him no chance, kicking him hard in the head. Hodsad finally lost consciousness.

Adam glanced at the unconscious Hodseid, then turned around and found that the other three lizardmen had disappeared. However, Adam was not surprised by this, because he had just heard them leave; he had been entangled with the lizard giants, which allowed them to escape.

He looked around and realized that Christine wasn't there either. He immediately became anxious, since he didn't know if any of the escaped lizardmen were like Hodseid who could transform again. So, after freezing Hodseid into an ice sculpture, Adam asked Athena to notify S.H.I.E.L.D., while he flew towards Christine's location.

On the other side, S.H.I.E.L.D. had already received the news when the Lizard Giant first appeared, and Nick Fury decided to ignore it when he saw Adam was also present. However, he was completely shocked when the Lizard Giant appeared.
