"Continue to observe!" came the order from the other end.

After hearing this, Hawkeye said, "I understand. But are there any problems with the hostages rescued by the Shadow Knight? Surely a magician wouldn't have taken these people hostage just to fight a battle."

"Don't worry about that, Agent Kelson has already gone to handle this matter."

Hawkeye, knowing Coulson's abilities, said, "I understand. Wait, I've spotted some old friends. Looks like we're not the only ones keeping an eye on Beginner."

"The opponent's target should be the mage. If Shadow Warrior wins, remember to support him. If Shadow Warrior loses..."

Eric said coldly, "Hmph, you sharp-tongued bastard! Die!" As soon as he finished speaking, a magical flame suddenly erupted from under Adam's feet.

The magical flames were incredibly fast, almost instantly engulfing Adam. Fortunately, Adam was always very cautious, so as soon as the flames showed any intention to attack, he was ready to dodge. Therefore, the magical flames did not harm him in the slightest.

Adam's words angered Eric even more. Was this cheating? A superhero, indeed! So, the next attack wasn't a simple magic ball or magic fire; it took Adam considerable effort to dodge. However, Adam's goal was finally achieved. Adam noticed that Eric's attack frequency had changed. Having observed Eric's spellcasting frequency and the frequency with which Eric's magic wand automatically cast defensive spells, Adam continuously provoked Eric with words, causing him to lose his composure. Then, seizing the time difference between the two defensive spell casts, Adam successfully attacked Eric.

Adam possesses a body of steel and superhuman strength; his palm strike is incredibly powerful. He avoids using his fists because he fears killing Eric with a single blow, hence his use of his palm. Even so, Eric was severely injured this time, spitting out several mouthfuls of blood, and stood up with a grim face.

Eric said ominously, "Very good, Shadow Knight! You're not bad. It's been a long time since anyone has pushed me to this extent!!!"

Adam scoffed, "It seems you've only recently acquired the power of a magician. I'm guessing it's that ring you kept in the bank. Hmm, but I haven't found it on you. So, the question is, where could the ring be?"

Eric was shocked, but said coldly, "Hmph, that ring is indeed a magical item, a family heirloom ring. Mine is simply being returned to its rightful owner! Heh, you claim to be very clever, huh? Well then, guess where my ring is?"

Adam shook his head after hearing this and said, "So you really were blinded by the power of magic? How could I not see something so obvious! I can say with certainty that the ring you're wearing is the magic wand in your hand, isn't it?"

Eric laughed loudly, "That's right, you guessed correctly. Too bad, your cleverness backfired. Didn't you realize I was stalling for time? Then die! Hellfire!!!"

Suddenly, a blood-red alternate dimension appeared behind Adam, and a strangely colored flame shot out with a whoosh, heading towards the seemingly unprepared Adam. But was Adam truly unprepared?

No, Adam couldn't possibly be unprepared. He only spoke to Eric to make Eric think that he hadn't lost yet and could still launch a sneak attack. Otherwise, if Eric ran away like last time, Adam wouldn't have had the time to chase after him.

Therefore, upon seeing the Hellfire attack, Adam moved to Eric's side again, slapping Eric away once more and sending him crashing into the Hellfire he had unleashed. Eric never expected that his opponent hadn't let his guard down while they were chatting, and could only watch helplessly as he collided step by step with the Hellfire spell.

He no longer had enough magic to undo the spell and could only pray that his wand could protect him again. However, he was unaware of the power of his first spell, and in the end, he was entangled by the Hellfire and sucked into that alternate dimension.

His defensive magic was crumbling, and the purple gem at the tip of his staff was visibly dimming. Eric looked at the hellfire engulfing him in despair, glaring at Adam with hatred and roaring, "Damn you, Shadow Knight!!! I curse you!!! I will come back, I will come back alive from this hell, and take my revenge on you! Ah~~~!" After saying the last sentence, the alternate dimension completely disappeared from Adam's sight.

Adam rubbed his forehead and let out a soft breath. Although this battle wasn't a fierce fight with Eric, it was the most mentally taxing one. After all, Eric's power was more restraining than his own, so he had to think twice about how to win the battle.

Fortunately, although the process was somewhat uneventful, I still won the battle, and my opponent was sucked away by the other dimension.

Just then, after a crisp sound, the purple magic circle space slowly disappeared. After all, the magician Eric who released the magic was no longer in this world, so the magic circle lost its power supply and became ineffective.

After Adam left, Hawkeye pressed the communicator to report the battle situation, saying, "Boss, the battle is over. After the magic circle shattered, only Shadow remained."

"Where is the magician? Did he turn to ashes?"

Hawkeye said calmly, "I don't know either. The only one who knows the situation right now is that Shadow Knight, but Shadow Knight has already left the battlefield."

"Understood. Have those people made any moves?"

Hawkeye said, "No, they left after Shadow left."

A middle-aged bald man dressed in black aristocratic attire sat in the head seat, listening calmly to the report brought by his subordinates.

"So, the magician named Eric Hassen has disappeared?"

A stern-looking man in a trench coat nodded and said, "Yes, Eric disappeared after fighting with Shadow Strike. We can't confirm whether he's alive or dead. Moreover, the scene has been taken over by Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., so we can't get close."

The bald man nodded slightly and said, "Then forget it. The people in S.H.I.E.L.D. will report this matter. But I heard that S.H.I.E.L.D. is keeping a close eye on you lately?"

Meanwhile, Adam, who had just returned home, casually greeted Athena and then threw himself onto the bed.

When Adam came out of the shower, he heard the doorbell ring. A young delivery guy dressed in a pizza shop uniform appeared in the left corner of the TV screen. He pressed a button to open the door, told the young man he was coming in, and then sat there quietly waiting for the pizza to arrive.

The young man was clearly entering such a high-end villa for the first time, and seemed a little uneasy, but he didn't look around aimlessly. Moreover, he had a scholarly air about him, and seemed to be a student.

Adam stood up and smiled, "Oh, the pizza's here! Thank you for bringing it!" He then took out a hundred dollars and handed it to the young man.
