"I just wanted to help the captain, that's all." Zatanna seemed to harbor some resentment towards Superman, and she spoke coldly as she saw Adam in his uniform.

"Hmph, you've really overstepped your bounds. Instead of helping your own world, you've come here to cause trouble." Adam felt a surge of anger. He had helped their world before, yet now they were sending people to interfere in their affairs. It was utterly unreasonable.

"I'm not here to fight you. You're in trouble here, a huge problem," Zatanna said calmly.

"It's none of your business. No matter how troublesome things are, the people of this world have to face them themselves. They're quite powerful now, and they don't need any superheroes to interfere," Adam sneered.

Clearly, Adam has completely lost trust in the government of this world and no longer wants to help them. After all, they have already stated that they do not need the help of superheroes and want to be self-reliant. Adam has decided to give them this chance and then never care about their lives again.

With a few snapping sounds, Tony removed his armor, stood up, and saw Zatanna and Wanda. Looking at Captain America, he said, "Is this the backup you found? Hmph, you're really something."

Captain America remained silent. It seemed that the shattering of his shield had shaken his resolve, or perhaps it was because of the shield's collapse that he had lost his reason to continue fighting.

Upon seeing this, Zatanna frowned and said, "Listen, we're not here to fight you. Something really has happened. When we arrived, a strange man with a red skull appeared here. Oh, and there was a woman with him. Both of them are very powerful, and according to Constantine, the red skull has a very powerful enemy backing him up."

"What does this have to do with me?" Adam asked calmly. "Right now, all I want is to avenge my father and then leave this world."

"You...you're a superhero! Are you really going to just stand by and watch the Earth be destroyed?" Zatanna asked incredulously.

"Wait until your own people drop a nuclear bomb on you, then you'll know how I feel," Adam sneered. "I owe this planet nothing anymore, except for revenge for my father!"

The person who was most incredulous upon hearing Adam's words was actually Tony. After all, he didn't know Adam was leaving, and he hadn't properly apologized to him yet. How could Adam be leaving so soon?

"Brother, you're leaving Earth? Where are you going?" Tony asked in surprise.

"Yes, go find Christine and my child. If we hurry, we might be able to have the baby in time for its birth," Adam said with a faint smile.

Tony was stunned when he heard this. After thirty or forty seconds, he asked with some disappointment, "So, when are you planning to leave?"

"When? Hmm, after killing that Bucky guy, I'll settle some friends down, and then I'll leave, probably." Adam glanced at Bucky lying not far away and said, "We'll talk about these things later. Don't worry, I'll say goodbye to you."

"Mr. Superman, do you really have to kill Bucky?" Captain America, who was in a daze, was awakened by Adam's words and asked.

"He is the man who killed my father. Shouldn't I seek revenge?" Adam said calmly.

“But, but Bucky was under their control at that time,” Captain America tried to stop Adam, saying, “Besides, he’s gone now, even if you kill Bucky, it won’t change anything.”

“Yes, killing won’t solve the problem.” Zatanna frowned and said, “Besides, although I don’t know what happened to you, what I’m about to say concerns the lives of billions of people. Could you please let me finish?”

"Moral blackmail? Heh, whatever. What happens to this world is no longer my concern. Besides, this is all humanity's own fault." After Adam finished speaking, he bypassed several people and instantly appeared in front of Bucky, lifting him up with one hand.

“But your brother is also on this earth. Don’t you think about him?” Zatanna said angrily. “Sure enough, you are exactly the same as that guy Clark Kent. Although you usually pretend to be a saint, you are essentially a cold-blooded monster.”

A crack, the sound of bones breaking, traveled from between Adam's palms.

"You~~~~" Captain America stared at the scene before him in disbelief.

Adam casually tossed the lifeless Bucky aside, raised his head to look at the others, a cold glint in his eyes, and said in a very calm tone, "The bond between this world and me is severed! Nothing can stop me from leaving this world now. I have repaid my father's kindness in raising me!"

"Why, why, why did you have to kill him? Why?" Captain America roared, holding Bucky's body, tears streaming down his face. A man doesn't easily shed tears.

"Everyone pays the price for their actions; this is a universal truth!" After Adam finished speaking, he ignored the stunned Wanda and the furious Zatanna and went to Tony's side.

Although Tony had already come out of his armor, he was exhausted from the psychological fluctuations of the battle. Therefore, he fainted after seeing Adam kill Bucky with his own hands.

Adam picked Tony up in a princess carry, and seeing Wanda and Zatanna glowing in his arms, he sneered, "You want to stop me from leaving?"

“You killed someone!” Zatanna said coldly.

"Ha, what a joke. Ask any of the people here, who hasn't killed someone? I've only killed one in my life, and I've already been merciful." Adam sneered, "You need to understand, silly girl, this world isn't your universe. Most of the superheroes here believe in the philosophy of stopping killing with killing, which is completely different from your concept of 'not killing'!"

Upon hearing Adam's words, Wanda couldn't help but recall the people she had killed while working for Hydra, and the civilians who had died due to her mistake during a mission. The red energy that had appeared in her hand instantly dissipated.

Zatanna initially didn't believe Adam's words, but seeing Captain America, who hadn't said a word, and Wanda, who had given up the attack, she was at a loss for what to do. Just as Adam had said, this wasn't the world she knew.

'I should have stayed out of this mess,' Zatanna thought silently as she watched Adam walk away.

Not long after Adam left, a flash of magical light appeared in the hall, and Constantine appeared there. He looked around and saw fragments of Iron Man armor scattered on the ground not far away. And over there, if Constantine remembered correctly, should be Captain America's shield. How could it be broken?

"What happened? What about Superman and Iron Man?" Constantine asked Zatanna, glancing at Captain America, who was completely overwhelmed with grief, and Wanda, who was standing there in a daze.

“Superman killed Bucky and then left with Iron Man,” Zatanna sighed. “I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop him, and I couldn’t persuade him to stay. By the way, what about Red Skull? How is he?”

"This is really troublesome." Constantine lit a cigarette with a headache, took a deep drag, and said, "That Red Skull has escaped."

"What should we do now?" Zatanna asked worriedly. "Superman seems to have had a conflict with the government here. He just said something about being attacked by a nuclear bomb, so he probably doesn't want to help anymore."

"Sigh, we have no choice but to ask for help. Damn it, I thought it was a paid trip, who knew it would turn out like this." Constantine said helplessly, "Hopefully those guys can convince Superman or just save the world."

I ate the title of Chapter 426

Adam left with Tony because Athena had by then taken control of almost all of the world's spy satellites and other surveillance equipment. Therefore, until Adam returned to the Watchtower, no one knew that Adam Stark had returned.

But Adam doesn't care about any of that now. He didn't make Athena give up controlling the satellites and military electronic equipment of the entire Earth. Everything is still waiting for the military to negotiate with Athena. He wants to see what kind of confidence the military has in choosing to oppose and be hostile to superhumans worldwide. Under normal circumstances, the hidden power of a country cannot be seen, but now that Athena has forced it to this point, it should show its fangs.

No political group will accept threats from others, especially when that political group wields a great deal of power!

Tony was taken to the treatment room by Adam and was receiving treatment. As for the mutants, they hadn't woken up yet, since only half a day had passed. Adam was also exhausted after experiencing so much in one day. After instructing Athena to take good care of Tony, Adam returned to his bedroom, sat in the cold room for a while, and then lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

A whole day had passed since he slept. When he woke up, it was already the afternoon of the next day. It was clear how exhausted Adam had been the day before. Of course, this exhaustion wasn't physical, but rather mental. After all, he had experienced so much in one day: fighting the Xiao Bing robot, witnessing the power of a nuclear explosion up close, and learning the truth about his father's death on the same day. In other words, he was a superhuman. If he were an ordinary person, he would have been dead long ago when he encountered the Xiao Bing robot, haha. Just kidding. If he were an ordinary person, even with the same power, without a strong mind, he would have gone mad long ago, probably!

"Master, you're awake?" Athena appeared before Adam as soon as he opened his eyes.

"Well, how's Tony?" Adam asked.

“He’s awake, but he seems a little down,” Athena replied.

“It’s certainly disheartening. He’s broken ties with a group of close friends; how could he not feel disappointed?” Adam sighed and asked, “What is he doing now?”

"He's still spacing out in the treatment room, but he's already eaten breakfast," Athena said, noticing her master's thoughts.

"Okay, that's good. I'll go over there later. By the way, what about the mutants?" Adam asked.

“They’ve been gathered by Logan and Ms. Jean Grey, probably to reassure the students,” Athena said, shaking her head slightly. “Since it’s an internal matter for them, I didn’t listen in.”

“Okay, I’ll go eat first. If you see Logan and the others come out later, call him for me. I need to talk to him about something.” Adam pondered for a moment and then said, “By the way, go and investigate the footage near the Hydra base in Siberia yesterday. See if Red Skull has returned.”

Although he said some cold-blooded things yesterday, like "The comfort of the Earth has nothing to do with me" and "I have severed my ties with the Earth," his ingrained personality makes it impossible for him to ignore the lives of more than seven billion people. After all, his brother Tony Stark is still on Earth. No matter how disappointed he is with this world, Howard Stark is still the great father who raised him, and Tony Stark is his brother. How could he possibly let the Earth be truly destroyed?

However, even though that's the logic, he won't make a move right away. He wants to appear with these surviving mutants when the governments of the entire world have completely given up and humanity is in utter despair, annihilate the enemy in one fell swoop, and then leave this world that has disappointed him amidst humanity's endless regret.

As for how many people will die or how many families will be destroyed in the process, that is completely outside Adam's consideration. He is not Clark Kent, the good guy from the other world before he turned evil. Although he is Clark Kent's clone, their living environments are different and their worldviews are also different.

Clark Kent grew up on a farm, raised by the simple, kind, morally upright, and highly responsible Kent couple. Adam, on the other hand, grew up in New York City in a merchant family. While Howard Stark wouldn't raise Adam to be a supervillain, he wasn't exactly a saint either.

Getting back to the main point, after Adam finished giving instructions to Athena, he ate some food and then went to Tony's side.

"Brother, you're here?" Tony said weakly.

"Hmm, what are you thinking about?" Adam walked over and sat down next to Tony, asking.

“I’m wondering why things turned out this way. Sigh, because of this, the entire Avengers has split apart. No, it’s more like the Avengers have disbanded. My intentions were good; I wanted everyone to enjoy peace, not this kind of fighting,” Tony said, his head bowed.

“These things are not your fault at all. You just fell into someone else’s trap. They led you step by step, and that’s how things have developed to this point.” Adam told Athena about some of the things she had investigated and said, “Normally, you would have noticed these things, but I feel that you were too hasty this time.”

"Sigh... it's Pepper. Her departure has robbed me of my former peace. Actually, when the Sokovia Agreement came out, I thought it was an opportunity, a chance to bring Pepper back to my side," Tony sighed heavily.

"Unfortunately, the Sokovia Accords were a trap set by governments around the world, a trap for you superheroes. I've learned that before the Sokovia Accords were implemented, the world was practically just a collection of superheroes like you." Adam shook his head slightly and said, "It just shows that you didn't take these people seriously and were so engrossed in your entanglement with Hydra that you didn't realize that not only had the Justice League disbanded and the Superhumans Association been banned, but even those superheroes you could occasionally see on TV or in the newspapers had disappeared."

“Yes, I only found out about all this yesterday, but it was too late,” Tony said with a wry smile.

"Yes, it's indeed too late. Daredevil, Nite Owl, the Punisher, Elektra, Spider-Girl, and other superheroes are all dead. In just one year, and I've only been gone for a year, I almost had my existence erased. Heh, I really want to know who's behind all this." Adam chuckled coldly.

Tony fell silent for a moment after hearing this, and the two remained silent for a short while before Tony finally broke the silence.

"Brother, are you really leaving?" Tony asked.

“Well, it’s time to leave. Since I’m not welcome here, I might as well leave on my own. Besides, you know that Christine should be giving birth soon, right? I hope I can be by his side when the child is born. It’s been so hard for me to have a child.” Adam smiled slightly and said, “You’ve seen the investigation results my father wrote, right? I originally thought I would never have any children in my life, but Christine gave me a surprise. I don’t know what she has sacrificed for this child, but I know one thing: I miss her very much!”

"Do you think what that woman said is true?" Tony nodded slightly after hearing his brother's words, and then asked.

"I don't know either. I hope it's not true. After all, if there really is an enemy that threatens all of humanity, I won't be able to leave in peace." Adam gave a wry smile and said, "Even though I made such a firm statement yesterday, I still can't just pack up and leave."

"I knew it would be like this." Seeing his brother's wry smile, Tony suddenly laughed. This was the kind of personality his brother should have. Yesterday had really given him a fright.

"Alright, stop overthinking it. Everything is still uncertain." Adam glared at his younger brother, annoyed, and said, "Focus on recovering now. If something really happens, we might be in trouble."

“Alright, it’s time to upgrade my Iron Man suit,” Tony said, standing up with a smile.

“Let’s deal with that later. First, come with me to see Logan and the others. They’re up in the watchtower now. Sigh, the mutants were almost wiped out by the US government. I really don’t know what these guys are thinking.” Adam said, leading Tony away. Both of them consciously avoided mentioning Captain America, because they knew they might never see him again in their lives.

Chapter 427 The Eve of the Storm

Not long ago, inside the Hydra base in Siberia

Adam left with Tony, while Captain America stared blankly at Bucky's body. Wanda was also caught in a state of self-blame, leaving Zatanna and Constantine, who were from other worlds, feeling utterly helpless.

"Huh, what happened?" Black Panther asked, puzzled, as he carried the female Winter Soldier into the hall with one hand.

“Superman killed Bucky and then left with Iron Man.” Zatanna sighed and said, “And then, as you can see, that’s how it is.”

“What should we do now?” Constantine asked Black Panther. “After all, this is your territory. Zatanna and I are from another world, and we don’t know much about this place.”

He deeply regretted ever being born, and he vowed that he would give Bruce Wayne a good punch the moment he saw him.

“In that case, then come with me to my country,” Black Panther said. “Besides, we also need to deal with these Winter Soldiers.”

"Deal with? How? Kill them?" Zatanna, from the 'World Without Killing', was somewhat sensitive at this moment. Upon hearing Black Panther mention "deal with," she immediately asked.

“No, although I am the king, these people are not my citizens after all, and I have no right to punish them. However, in order to prevent them from harming the world, I think it is better to let them continue to hibernate,” Black Panther said calmly.

“Alright, let’s go then. Your previous intelligence seems to be correct. If that’s the case, then this place isn’t so safe.” Constantine looked at Zatanna and said, “Let’s go back to the previous location and have the rest of you return to this king’s kingdom with us. I think we are already wanted criminals.”

Zatanna replied, "Alright, you two bring them here, and I'll open the magic gate!" With that, she closed her eyes and began chanting a spell.

Black Panther tossed the female Winter Soldier aside, then together with Constantine, gathered the remaining Winter Soldier soldiers before approaching Captain America.

"Captain, we should leave now," Black Panther sighed.

Captain America remained motionless, silently gazing at Bucky's corpse.

"Captain!" Black Panther shouted, "You have to pull yourself together. In life, we will always lose some friends. Although it is very regrettable and painful, we have to keep going because we are not alone at this moment. There are still some people around us waiting for us to come back."

Captain America remained silent, and Black Panther paused, unsure of what to do.

At that moment, Constantine walked over with a cigarette in his mouth. Seeing the situation, before Black Panther could speak, he punched Captain America unconscious. He shook his arm and said, "Damn, that really hurt."

"Uh, you knocked him out?" Black Panther asked, bewildered.

“Of course, what else can we do? We can’t just let him stay here dwelling on the past.” Constantine walked over and picked up Captain America, saying, “Bring the Captain’s friends along too. If the Captain is alright, we can hold a simple funeral for him.”

Black Panther silently picked up Bucky's body and, together with Constantine, went to Zatanna's side. Meanwhile, Zatanna had already woken Wanda, and the two of them used levitation spells and similar magic to move the Winter Soldiers one by one into the magic portal.

Zatanna tossed the last Winter Soldier into the magic gate, then looked at the purplish-red patch on Captain America's handsome face and said, "I must say, no wonder he's Constantine's son."
